Crans-Montana

Flims-Laax-Falera

The ski resorts of Flims-Laaz-Falera are usually united into a single three - this extremely popular ski area in Switzerland has gained international fame relatively recently. Arosa – Lenzerheide

The resort area is very elongated, but this does not complicate your vacation. Zermatt is recommended for intermediate and confident skiers, snowboarders, freeride enthusiasts, as well as those who are partial to mountain restaurants, shopping and a romantic atmosphere. The length of the tracks is 360 km. There are all types to choose from: red, blue and black. Vacationers have 61 lifts at their disposal (20 cabins, 22 chairlifts, 14 rope tows). The skiing height is even more impressive - from 1620 to 3899 meters. Freeriders will enjoy the descents from Hochtalli and Stockhorn. Snowboarders have access to a snow park and a half-pipe in Blaucherd and Rothenboden, as well as a half-pipe at Theodulpass and border cross.

By car, the most convenient way to get to Zermatt is along the A6 highway from Bern. Travel time should not exceed two and a half hours. The road along the A9 from Geneva will take a little longer - 2 hours 45 minutes. In both cases, beautiful scenery is guaranteed.

Saas-Fee

The small Swiss ski resort of Saas-Fee has a lot of recognized advantages: guaranteed snow throughout the year, varied terrain and slopes, very clean air, a picturesque restaurant on the top of Allalina and stunning views. This resort is also famous for being located in a “bowl” of four thousand meters. Car traffic is prohibited in Saas-Fee; cars are left at the entrance, in a huge underground parking lot.

Another option is from Milan, but in this case the journey along the E62 will take more than 3 hours, and the length of the entire route will exceed 226 km. And finally, from Zurich to Saas-Fee it is best to travel along the A4 - the travel time will exceed 3 hours 30 minutes.

Grindelwald

Leukerbad

Murren

The route from Geneva will not be very convenient and fast: you will have to get to Bern and cover a total of 226 km.

One of the most famous ski resorts not only in Europe, but also in the world, Zermatt is located on the northern slopes of the most beautiful European mountain, the Matterhorn, surrounded by other peaks of the so-called Pieniny Alps. By and large, the most picturesque landscapes are one of the reasons for the popularity of Zermatt, although, on the other hand, hardly anyone would argue that the tracks here are not very good - quite the opposite. The Zermatt-Matterhorn ski area includes three villages - Zermatt itself, as well as Randa and Täsch. Behind the Theodul Pass is the Italian ski village of Cervinia (you can buy a ski pass that allows you to ski there too).

In total, there are about 360 kilometers of trails of all levels in the Zermatt area. The village itself is located at an altitude of 1620 meters, the highest point of the resort is 3900 meters on the Matterhorn glacier. Actually, thanks to this impressive height, Zermatt remains one of the resorts that operate all year round. There are three major ski areas here: eastern Sunnega-Rothorn on Mount Unterrothorn; Gornegrat-Stockhorn and Schwarzsee - Klein Matterhorn in the south. Zermatt is also famous for the difficulty of its slopes; for example, experienced skiers are probably familiar with the black Triftji Bumps slope. For snowboarders, a magnificent snow park called Gravity Park was created with a halfpipe, jumps, rails and kickers. Fans of heli-skiing and freeride will not be offended here either, since these types of skiing have their own excellent slopes.

Zermatt is also famous for its après-ski. There are all possibilities for this, for example, in the Schwarzsee - Klein Matterhorn area at the bottom of the Furi descent. Places such as The Papperla pub, The Hotel Post entertainment spot, Pollux disco and other places are popular among tourists.

Champoussin is an excellent Swiss ski resort near the village of Val d'Ilier and part of the Portes du Soleil ski region, most of which is in France. Unlike Champery or Zermatt, it is quite quiet here, there are no noisy parties or mass bar hopping. The resort provides access to 650 kilometers of Portes du Soleil trails. Champousin itself boasts 15 tracks, of which 7 are blue, 6 are red and 3 are black. The village is located at an altitude of 1310 meters, the elevation difference of the slopes is 1680-2350 meters. This small resort has a total of seven ski lifts. You can buy a ski pass for the entire Portes du Soleil region.
