S7 Airlines aircraft

As of December 25, 2019, the passenger fleet of S7 Airlines consists of 101 aircraft and 7 more are on order. Average age liners for 10 years.

The oldest is Aibus A320-200 (VQ-BCF) - 2.5 years. The youngest is Airbus A320-200 (VQ-BTL) - 0.3 years old.

S7 Airlines (Siberia Airlines) is a Russian airline based at Moscow Domodedovo Airport, one of the largest in terms of the number of passengers carried. At the time of its 20th anniversary, S7 Airlines has 146 destinations of its own route network to 26 countries of the world. The company, founded in the center of the continent, today operates flights to the most extreme points of Eurasia, many thousands of kilometers apart.

The history of Siberia Airlines begins in 1957, when the first civilian flight was carried out from a military airfield in the Novosibirsk region (future Tolmachevo Airport). It was on the basis of the Tolmachevsky air squad that the Siberia airline was formed in 1992.

Tu-154. This plane is an integral part of Russian history. civil aviation. For a long time, the Tu-154 formed the basis of the Sibir fleet. In 2012, for the 20th anniversary of S7 Airlines, a Tu-154 monument aircraft with tail number RA-85628, which made a huge number of flights with the airline, was installed on a pedestal near the entrance to Tolmachevo airport:

Novosibirsk International Airport (Tolmachevo) is the largest transit hub beyond the Urals on key routes between Europe and Asia.

For a long time, the airport was the base for S7 Airlines, and today it remains the main hub in the eastern part of the country.

The airline's rapid development has led to the need to expand beyond the Siberian region.

Since 2001, the company began actively expanding its route network, opening new flights from Moscow and other Russian cities.

Today Domodedovo is the main and key airport for S7 Airlines. The company has the most modern and one of the “youngest” parks aircraft on Russian market air transportation. All flights are carried out only on foreign-made aircraft Airbus companies and Boeing.

Airline fleet: 20 Airbus aircraft A319, 17 Airbus A320 aircraft, four Airbus A321 aircraft and two long-haul Boeing 767-300 aircraft.

S7 Airlines aircraft have a bright green color, which makes them visible at almost any airport in the world.

The company, founded in the center of the continent, today operates flights to the most extreme points of Eurasia, many thousands of kilometers apart. Every day S7 aircraft make 197 flights to 146 destinations in 26 countries.

Here are some extreme points of the airline's route network. The westernmost point is Dublin (Ireland). Ireland is traditionally associated with Guinness beer, whiskey and the famous national dance:

Hong Kong Airport (Chek Lap Kok) is one of the busiest on the planet. This is one of the southernmost points in the international route network of S7 Airlines:

The easternmost point is Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. From the east Kamchatka is washed by Pacific Ocean, and in the summer the sun rises on the peninsula at a time when people in Moscow have not yet gone to bed - the time difference is as much as 8 hours:

Kamchatka has no land connections with the Russian mainland, so you can only get here by plane.

Norilsk is located above the Arctic Circle in the north Krasnoyarsk Territory. The city has an extremely harsh climate, winter here lasts at least 8 months, and the historical minimum recorded in Norilsk is -64.7 degrees!

Westernmost continental point - Madrid (Spain):

While passengers are waiting to board their flight in the airport halls, ground services are busy preparing the plane for departure. They are faced with a difficult task - to complete regulatory procedures in a short time, refuel the plane with fuel, water, load luggage and do everything necessary to make the upcoming flight safe and comfortable.

The minimum standard for aircraft ground maintenance time is approximately 37 minutes.

The aircraft crew takes food, checks the functionality of the on-board systems and the readiness of the aircraft for departure. Airport services clean the cabin, and flight attendants check the readiness of each seat.

Before each flight, pilots carry out an external inspection of the aircraft: they check the aircraft's components and components for damage, and the engines for the presence of icing in the winter.

Airport shuttles bring passengers to the plane. The average daily passenger traffic of S7 airlines is 22,600 people.

If the aircraft takes off in weather conditions, which predispose to the formation of ice on the surfaces of the aircraft, it must be treated with a special anti-icing liquid.

All checks have been completed and the plane is completely ready for takeoff. The crew has already conducted the pre-flight briefing, and the tractor is towing the airliner onto the taxiway. The pilots start the engines and proceed to the take-off point and onto the runway.

Tolmachevo - start, Sibir-174 on the executive, do you allow takeoff? - Sibir-174, take-off cleared!

The plane's engines slowly fill with thrust, a pleasant hum is heard throughout the cabin, and the airliner quickly begins its movement along the runway.

Approach to Vladivostok airport:

Vladivostok Knevichi Airport is a large regional hub of the company in the east of the country. The city is more than 9,000 km away from Moscow: traveling here by train will take a whole week!

Since 2010, S7 Airlines has been a full member of the Oneworld global aviation alliance. The alliance includes largest airlines world: AirBerlin, AmericanAirlines, BritishAirways, CathayPacific, Finnair, Iberia, JapanAirlines, LAN, MalaysiaAirlines, Qantas, Royal Jordanian, QatarAirways, as well as more than 20 affiliated carrier partners.

Mission control center. Technologies implemented in the S7 Airlines Flight Control Center allow real-time monitoring of aircraft movement, the process of ground handling, obtaining data on commercial load, the state of aircraft resources, and also taking measures to comply with vessel traffic schedules and scheduled flights:

The control screens of employees reflect the aircraft movement schedule for the current day with departure and arrival airports.

Aviation training center "S7 Training" is the largest in Russia and Eastern Europe pilot and crew training center:

The center operates several complex flight simulators (Full Flight Simulator).

They are designed to train pilots for Airbus aircraft A320 and Boeing 737 families.

The training complex for emergency rescue training allows you to simulate Various types emergency situations arising on board the aircraft:

S7 Airlines, together with Tolmachevo Airport, held a presentation of the first regional aircraft in the airline's fleet, Embraer E170. This plane is a pioneer twice: it was the first to try on the updated S7 Airlines livery.

↓ 2. We go out onto the platform, hurry to the Embraer parking lot, and someone is in a hurry to Sochi. The class registration for this Tu-204 is RA-64046.

↓ 3. As if for comparison, we came across the new livery of Rossiya Airlines. Boeing 737-800 (VQ-BWJ).

↓ 4. Here it is, the first “Siberian” Embraer E170LR (VQ-BBO). I wonder whose livery update caused more resonance - “Russia” or S7?

↓ 5. For the letters BBO in the registration number, the plane has already received the nickname “Baba Olya” from spotters.

↓ 6. However, “Baba Olya” is only 13 years old, is she really a grandmother? :)

↓ 7. Embraer E170 is a Brazilian-made medium-haul passenger aircraft. This plane (VQ-BBO) was built in 2004, before the S7 it flew on two American airlines. made his first commercial flight with S7 Airlines on the route Novosibirsk - Tyumen - Salekhard. The plane is based in Novosibirsk. This year, S7 will receive 16 more Embraers, their bases will be Tolmachevo and Pulkovo.

↓ 8. Boeing 737-800 (VQ-BRR). Couldn't get past it. :)

↓ 9. We get on board.

↓ 10. Salon with 78 seats. “Nobody likes middle seats, so we got rid of them,” Embraer says on its website. You sit either by the window or by the aisle.

↓ 11. And in the cabin it’s always near the window and the aisle. It pays to be a pilot :)

↓ 12. According to the Tolmachevo website, from Novosibirsk S7 plans to fly on the E170 to Omsk, Gorno-Altaisk, Abakan, Novy Urengoy, Noyabrsk and other cities. “The Embraer 170 is an aircraft with optimal capacity for such flights. With his help we are summer season We are opening a large number of new destinations from Novosibirsk, which organically complement our route network. When drawing up the schedule, we took into account convenient connections in Novosibirsk so that passengers from these cities could gain access to Russian and foreign cities of the S7 Airlines route network,” said S7 Group CEO Anton Eremin at a press conference.

↓ 13. I asked Sveta to pose a little at the entrance to the liner. Sveta, thank you! :)

↓ 14. Positive team. Tanya, hi! :)

↓ 17. S7 became the first operator of the E170 in Russia; previously, Saratov Airlines began operating aircraft of the E-Jet family, but their E195 is a larger, but shorter-range version. Embraer E170 can carry up to 80 passengers over a distance of up to 3,900 km (3,982), E195 - up to 124 passengers over a distance of up to 3,350 km.

↓ 18. Passengers take their seats. There were a lot of people.

↓ 19. Someone managed to take a photo with the plane in the background.

↓ 20. The boarding of passengers is completed, and we are heading to the runway on the platform bus - we need to have time to take a point from where we can film the Embraer takeoff. Until he rushed past this point. :)

↓ 21. Military An-12BK (RF-90921) went for training.

↓ 22. A320 (VQ-BQN) of Ural Airlines arrived from Vladivostok. As one of my colleagues noted, the airline's logo is three Nike logos. And you can’t argue. :)

↓ 23. An-26 (RF-36166) Russian Air Force.

↓ 24. He flew away, but promised to return. With 16 relatives. :) Production of E-jet continues, a total of 1,317 aircraft have been built since 2001 (data as of the end of March 2017).

↓ 25. On May 8, this “Aviators” stele was opened in Tolmachevo. It is located in the passage between the terminals of domestic and international airlines.

That's all, pack your bags and

S7 Group expects to be the first in Russia to completely renew its fleet of medium-haul aircraft and switch to the latest generation Airbus and Boeing aircraft. The country's largest private airline group plans to withdraw the A320ceo and Boeing 737NG from its fleet and begin flying only the A320neo and Boeing 737MAX by 2024, Vedomosti newspaper reports, citing S7 Group Deputy General Director Grigory Davydov.

Today, the fleet of the S7 group, which includes S7 Airlines (Siberia; flies aircraft of the Airbus A320 family and regional Embraer 170) and Globus (operates Boeing 737NG), has 91 aircraft, including 74 mainline Airbus and Boeing. Of these, 10 narrow-body aircraft are of the new generation: eight A320neo, as well as one each of A321neo and . By the end of 2020, S7 will accept 32 more aircraft under operating lease: 19 A320neo, 3 A321neo, .

The group is the first recipient in the Russian Federation of aircraft of the A320neo and Boeing 737MAX family. It is noted that S7 has changed its approach to contracting aircraft and now leases them for two years (apparently, we are talking about leasing contracts with the possibility of extension). Among the advantages that this position provides is protection from excess fleet in the event of a market decline, as well as the possibility of obtaining aircraft with improved modifications. In particular, Airbus recently certified the A321LR (long range) version, designed to carry up to 240 passengers. versus 230 in the basic configuration. A further increase in capacity was also not ruled out.

Taking into account the withdrawal of some of the current generation Airbus and Boeing aircraft and the receipt of the latest re-engined aircraft, the S7 fleet will increase to 103 aircraft by the end of 2019 (however, this figure may be adjusted depending on market conditions). The high cost of leasing payments for new aircraft will be offset by the fuel efficiency of the aircraft (the cost of jet fuel today accounts for one of the airlines' total costs).

Thanks to the use of new generation aircraft, less time will be spent on aircraft maintenance (by the way, the provider S7 Technics, part of the group, has permission to service re-engined narrow-body and Airbus aircraft), which, accordingly, will be one of the factors in increasing flight hours. Thus, it is planned to operate the Boeing 737MAX with a record intensity of 16 hours 40 minutes per day versus 14 hours 10 minutes per day on the Boeing 737NG. For comparison: last year the world leader in flight hours on the Boeing 737NG was the Russian low-cost carrier Pobeda, which flew each aircraft of this type for 15–16 hours a day.

Previously, the potential possibility of a complete transition to narrow-body aircraft of the latest generation was announced in " Ural Airlines". This airline announced plans to replenish its fleet with aircraft from the family
