Description

Geographically, the Krasnoyarsk Territory is located in the center of Russia and is quite remote from the warm sea coasts. But that was not the case, we turned out to be more cunning))))). Who can boast that they have their own sea. And Krasnoyarsk residents have it)))) - the Krasnoyarsk Sea, and this is exactly what it is called in many official sources. Knowledgeable people will immediately correct that this is a reservoir... well, they are boring, for us this is the sea and leave me alone)))) Therefore, if you are recently in Krasnoyarsk and from some local acquaintance or stranger you hear: “And we are at the last weekend we went to the sea and this time we’ll go, there will be a lot of our people there...”, then don’t be surprised, don’t start estimating in your mind how many kilometers to the Black Sea or to any other, and how much the plane flight will cost, etc. and eventually come to the conclusion: “Yes, they are stuck here, however...”))))) Of course, this is a reservoir that was formed as a result of the construction of the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station.

Krasnoyarsk reservoir - formed in the 60-70s of the XX century. The reservoir stretches for 388 km and begins at the village of Mokhovo (Republic of Khakassia) just below the confluence of the Yenisei and Abakan rivers, and ends at the hydroelectric power station, respectively. The greatest depth of the reservoir is 105 m (at the hydroelectric power station), and the average is about 37 m. The greatest width of the reservoir is 15 km. The Krasnoyarsk Sea is one of the largest artificial reservoirs in the world in terms of water volume, and the second in Russia, after the Bratsk Reservoir. Previously, there was a passenger service, but today it is not available. There are also no bridges across the reservoir; the only crossing point is the ferry in the village of Novoselovo.

The best places to relax are the bays, where you can fish and swim in the summer months (the water warms up best). There are a huge number of bays on the reservoir, large and not very large, with gentle shores and steep cliffs, forests approach the shore almost everywhere. The combination of all this makes the bays comfortable for savages to relax in silence (the long length of the shores allows you to find secluded places).

Almost all of the bays were formed by the flooding of rivers that flowed into the Yenisei before the construction of the hydroelectric power station. The largest bays are Tubinsky, Syda, Karasug, Sisim, Derbina, Biryusinsky. However, we will talk about a smaller and famous bay, which is only for the better for recreational purposes. This is Izhul Bay, which is located next to the village of Izhulskoye. The length of the bay is 7-8 km, access to it is through the village along field roads. The shore on both banks is flat; closer to the exit from the bay, forests approach the shore. You can do excellent fishing in the bay, and for those who are not keen on it, but want fresh fish, then on the right bank of the bay, right at its outlet into the reservoir, there is a fishing artel, where you can buy fish at absolutely no cost. There are a lot of mushrooms in the forests approaching the shore; in the meadows you can pick wild strawberries during the season. So vacation in these places will never be monotonous - swimming, walking in the forest, picking mushrooms and berries, fishing, admiring the beautiful water spills.

The coordinates will lead you to a clearing to a cliff already at the exit from the bay, from where an excellent view of the reservoir opens. To the left and right of the clearing itself, you can find good access to water and places where you can set up camp.

It’s not for nothing that the Krasnoyarsk reservoir is also called the sea. After all, it really looks more like a real sea, and not like an artificial reservoir! The reservoir was created in 1967-1970. The dam was able to block the bed of one of the largest and deepest rivers in Russia - the Yenisei. And the reservoir ranks second in Russia in terms of fullness.

Briefly about the reservoir

For those who like sailing, we can recommend Shumikha Bay. There is a yacht club called “Admiral” located there. Club yachts sway gracefully on the waves, decorating this place. Shumikha is the most popular bay in the entire Krasnoyarsk Sea.

Next to it is the second large bay - Biryusinsky. It is famous for its picturesque cliffs. Further downstream they pass into the dense and impassable taiga. Most The best way to get to it is to sail by motor boat, crossing the Krasnoyarsk Reservoir. The land route also exists, but it will require a lot of effort and time. Well suited for those who like challenging category hikes.

The bay located near Primorsk can also provide good sandy beaches. There are also a lot of vacationers here, but not as much as on Shumikha. It is possible that this is due to the remoteness of Primorsk from Krasnoyarsk. It takes about three and a half hours to get there.

Recreation center "Scarlet Sail"

The Scarlet Sail recreation center is also located on the territory of the yacht club. This is a fairly large complex, which in summer can simultaneously accommodate up to 65 people. The Krasnoyarsk reservoir will give you an unforgettable vacation! And comfort will be provided by many accommodation options. Starting from double or triple rooms in a log house and ending with separate houses for two or three people.

As an active pastime, the base offers a volleyball court, water attractions, and a walk on the sailing yacht capacity up to 10 people.
Those who like a relaxing holiday are invited to enjoy the view from the equipped gazebos, sunbathe on the beach or take a steam bath.

Recreation center "Berendey"

At some distance from the Scarlet Sail base there is the Berendey base (Krasnoyarsk Reservoir). Its uniqueness is that the entire territory is surrounded by water. It is no longer possible to get here by land by car. Only in winter on a paved winter road. In summer, visitors are transported by boat or boat. This base can accommodate about a hundred people at a time.

For leisure, we offer a tour of the reservoir by boat or yacht. You can enjoy it while you're at it picturesque landscapes, clean air and blue sky. The base offers rental equipment for aquatic species sports - water skiing, kite, board. You can rent a boat or kayak. The base also has a place to moor its own water transport.

The bulk of those who come for the weekend try to occupy sand beach. But you can also have a good rest on the rocky one. Again, people come most often on the weekends, and during the week there is practically no one here.

Perch, pike, pike perch and even grayling are caught on fishing rods. Fishermen speak well of the reservoir. The fish come across quite large sizes. This is due to good living conditions. Unyuk is a settlement now resting at the bottom of the Krasnoyarsk reservoir. It was located on the right bank of the Yenisei, under Mount Unyuk, 15 km from the village of Abakansky (old Krasnoturansk).

Initially, the settlement was called by the name of the owner - “Balandino”, but later in Soviet times it was renamed “Unyuk”

The founders are Vera Arsenyevna and Alexander Alekseevich Balandin.

In 1902, they moved a large factory on a water engine from the Uza River, which they inherited from Vera Arsenyevna’s grandfather M.K. Matonin, and mechanized it. The engine was replaced with a steam one. In addition to the steam roller mill, spacious granaries were built. Grain and flour began to be sent by barge along the Yenisei River to Krasnoyarsk and Minusinsk. A credit society was opened.

With the direct participation of Vera Balandina, a beautiful garden was laid out, where, in addition to local trees, trees from other regions grew, including Chinese apple and cherry trees. In this garden she conducted experiments on the acclimatization of unique varieties of flowers from Europe. On the experimental field, Vera Arsenyevna was researching wheat. Samples of its seeds were sown in the fields by local peasants.

Unyuk was the first village in the volost that began to be illuminated by electricity.

The steppe expanses allowed the Balandins to conduct herd horse breeding.

In Soviet times, at the foot of Mount Unyuk there were small villages - the Komsomolskaya farm and the Unyuk grain collection point.

As a result of the construction of the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station, the settlement and the Unyuksky HPP fell into the flood zone. Some residents of Unyuk left, while others moved to Novaya Syda. The elevator was moved to a new site near the village of Novaya Syda.
