Dozens of intercity routes from all over the country pass through its bus station every day.

The most unusual view public transport at the resort - a leisurely tractor with a cart adapted for transporting people. From morning to evening, he collects tourists from hotels on the first line of the beach and takes them to the village of Belek for free.

Rent a Car

If you need a car for the entire holiday, it is convenient to rent it directly at Antalya Airport. For one-time trips around the surrounding area - to the ruins of Aspendos and Perge, in Side or shopping centers, it is better to take advantage of the hotel's offer - there is a rental office in almost all of them. The most low prices- in local companies. An economy class Renault Clio car here will cost 214 TRY per day or 1400 TRY per week. You can pay in cash, but in this case you will have to leave a cash deposit of 600-2800 TRY. There are also offices of international Avis and Europcar in Belek. Renting a car of a similar class is more expensive here - 417 and 1800 TRY, respectively, but you don’t have to worry about its technical condition.

The cost of a liter of A-95 gasoline is 6.25 TRY, diesel fuel is 5.50-5.90 TRY. The fine for speeding is 154-90 TRY, for parking under a prohibitory sign - from 70 TRY, for not wearing a seat belt - 50-70 TRY.

All parking in Belek is free, and there are almost no traffic jams. Local police practice installing portable radars on the roads to detect speeding. At some distance behind them there is a mobile post that stops and mercilessly fines violators. For those who do not know Turkish, the police have prepared a “cheat sheet” in English.

Communications and Wi-Fi

To save on calls to Russia, you should purchase a SIM card from local operators cellular communication. The largest Turkcell offers the largest coverage area in Turkey. Vodafone has good coverage in cities and resorts, but in rural areas you may be left without communication. The large coverage area and affordable prices of the Avea operator have made it popular among young people and tourists. SIM cards are sold in operator offices, supermarkets and newsstands for 10-30 TRY. At the same time, a tariff package worth 10-50 TRY is purchased, which includes a certain number of minutes of calls and Internet traffic. With the Alo Avrupa tariff package from Avea (29 TRY), a call to Russia costs only 0.17 TRY per minute.

According to Turkish laws, a phone imported into the country must be registered at the operator’s office, which costs 150 TRY. Otherwise, after 60 days the local SIM card will be blocked.

You can call Russia from street payphones using Turk Telecom cards, which are sold in all stores. A card worth 50 TRY is enough for 60 minutes of calls to landlines or 30 minutes to mobile phones. Free WI-Fi is available in all hotels, in most restaurants, cafes and bars, and on many beaches.

Belek Hotels

The pride and main attraction of Belek is the five-star hotels lined up on the first line. Each of them is like a small state with its own territory, beach, swimming pools and a bunch of everything necessary for complete detachment from the outside world. True, living in such a country is not cheap - at the peak of the season, a double room costs at least 920 TRY per day. As an undeniable bonus - all-inclusive meals.

4* hotels are almost as good as their more “star” counterparts. Their main disadvantage is their distance from the sea. And although everyone has their own beach, you have to either walk (10-15 minutes) or take the hotel’s free shuttle to get there. The all-inclusive rate is TRY 855 per night. This is probably why rooms in “four-star” hotels are the most scarce in Belek.

3* hotels in Belek can be counted on the fingers of one hand. They are located a 10-minute drive from the sea, and a room with full board costs from 420 TRY. Despite the modest prices and small areas, hotels always have a restaurant and a swimming pool.

Beaches

The 16 km long coastal strip of Belek is almost completely divided between 5* hotels. Their wide beaches with golden sand and a gentle slope into the sea are framed on one side by pine and eucalyptus forests, on the other by the clear blue sea. Every evening the sand is cleaned and leveled with special machines. The beach infrastructure includes a lifeguard service, canopies and sun umbrellas, racks with beach towels, sun loungers, changing rooms, showers, toilets, cafes and minibars. Guests of all-inclusive hotels can use all this completely free of charge.

“Strangers” from other hotels are easily recognized by the color of their bracelets and are resolutely expelled by security.

For hotel guests on the second line and the residents of Belek themselves, there are two public beaches - in the east and west of the coastal strip. You can get to them by dolmus, which run every 30 minutes, or by free shuttles from hotels. The cleanliness and infrastructure of these beaches is not much inferior to “five-star” ones. True, you have to pay separately for umbrellas, sun loungers, lunch in a cafe, cocktails in a bar and other beach pleasures. But there are football and volleyball courts, picnic areas in the shade of pine trees, karting tracks and a variety of water activities - windsurfing, kiting, jet skis, bananas and bagels. Renting an umbrella and two sun loungers on a public beach - 43 TRY per day, banana boat ride - 56 TRY, parasailing behind a boat - about 200 TRY.

Shopping

Respectable Belek is not the cheapest place for shopping. Prices here are about 25% higher than in neighboring Antalya. You can go shopping without leaving the hotel premises - each of them has shops, boutiques and souvenir shops. It’s even better to go to the village of Belek itself. Its streets are, in fact, one large counter with a huge selection of jewelry, high-quality clothing made of leather, fur, and textiles. There is an unusually large assortment of blouses, jeans, tops, skirts and, of course, swimsuits.

Local specialty - shops with clothing, accessories and golf sports equipment.

In addition to Turkish brands, there are also world brands, but their prices are excessively high. Many stores represent well-known Turkish retail chains such as LC Waikiki. Almost every one has Russian-speaking staff. You can pay in Turkish lira, dollars, euros and even rubles.

With such an abundance of shops, it is difficult to leave Belek without souvenirs. Among the most popular are all kinds of ceramics, Turkish sweets, embroidered slippers with curved toes, coffee pots with a copper bottom, fruit teas and traditional tulip-shaped glasses for them. On Saturdays from 9:00 to 15:00 a bazaar is held on the streets radiating from the mosque. There is a brisk trade in vegetables and fruits on Mehmet Akif Ersoy Caddesi, and things on Ataturk Caddesi Street. The initial price, as elsewhere in the East, is conditional, but the sellers of Belek, accustomed to wealthy buyers, are reluctant to make concessions.

Cuisine and restaurants

It is difficult to go hungry in all-inclusive hotels in Belek. But sooner or later, many people have a desire to break out of these tenacious embraces. For this purpose, there are a la carte restaurants, the menu of which includes the best dishes of world cuisine - from Turkish and European to Japanese and Mexican. But don’t forget - Belek resort is very expensive, and prices in such restaurants are steep. A romantic dinner with signature dishes from the chef, with sea views and wine will cost 300-500 TRY per person.

Even if a service charge is included in the bill of an a la carte restaurant, this money is unlikely to reach the waiter. Therefore, tipping is quite appropriate.

Affordable prices and authentic cuisine can be found outside the hotels. There are several in the center of Belek interesting restaurants and cafes that enjoy a high reputation among tourists. One of the most popular is Adana Ocakbasi, specializing in meat dishes. Particularly good in it are chicken kebab “tavuk shish-kebab”, fried wings “kanat izgara”, lamb ribs “kaburga-kebab” and, especially for vegetarians, vegetable “sebzeli-kebab”. Lunch here will cost a quite humane 100 TRY. Deniz restaurant serves fish and seafood, and Pinokyo serves lasagna (30 TRY) and spaghetti (20-23 TRY), and is no worse than in Italy itself. You can have a snack on the go by buying a bagel with sesame seeds (2-3 TRY) or doner kebab - fried meat wrapped in a flatbread (10-12 TRY) from street vendors.

Entertainment and attractions in Belek

It is wrong to believe that Belek is exclusively beach holiday. 30 km from it lie the ruins of ancient Perge, founded by the Achaean Greeks who fled from the defeated Troy. Just like 2000 years ago, the entrance to it lies through the South Gate with huge round towers. From them begins a street with a colonnade leading to the agora, where public meetings once took place and the incendiary speeches of the Apostle Paul were heard. Under the rule of Rome and the patronage of the goddess Artemis - “Queen of Perge”, the city experienced its heyday. A significant part of its buildings belong to this era: baths, remains of temples and fortress walls, a nymphery, a theater and the largest stadium in Asia Minor.

From the Eastern Gate of Perge begins the road to ancient Sillion, which lies on a plateau about 80 m high. This city of ancient Pamphylia has hardly been touched by an archaeologist’s shovel and, turning off the beaten path, it’s easy to feel like Indiana Jones. In 1969, Sillion was heavily damaged by a landslide, which demolished part of the amphitheater; caution should be taken when visiting it.

The Aspendos Amphitheater, 18 km from Belek, is perfectly preserved. According to him gigantic size one can judge how large this city was in ancient times. Today, plays and concerts are still staged on the 2,000-year-old stage. Behind the amphitheater, further down the mountainside, the ruins of an agora, baths and basilica are scattered. And below on the plain you can see the largest aqueduct in Anatolia, “built by the slaves of Rome.”

The hit of the season is the annual International Opera and Ballet Festival, where the best theater groups in the world perform.

Aspendos lies in downstream the Köprüçay River, which in its upper reaches makes its way through a picturesque mountain canyon. In the very bottleneck the ancient Roman bridge Oluk, 27 m high, is thrown across it. Köprüçay is a popular rafting spot (price from the hotel with transfer, lunch and insurance - from 140 TRY; on the spot about 10% cheaper). The descent begins 100 m from the Roman bridge, where the river, expanding, forms a quiet backwater. The length of the route is about 11 km, the difficulty category is 2-3 points on the international scale.

6 things to do in Belek

  1. Enjoy the sea, sun and clean air on one of best resorts Turkish Riviera.
  2. Polish your heels on the varied sand of the local beaches, which burns on a hot afternoon and gives you coolness if you dig deeper.
  3. Taste the delicious trout, which is found in abundance in the local Köprüçay river and, accordingly, is often served to the table of tourists arriving in Belek.
  4. Admire the Köprülü Canyon, which stretches along the river for 14 km. By the way, this is just one of seven picturesque gorges formed by a mountain river.
  5. Go to a semi-wild beach 8 km from the city, which belongs to the Robinson Club hotel and, if you’re lucky, go for a walk accompanied by a guide in the picturesque surroundings.
  6. Dare to go rafting - however, with experienced instructors, the water adventure promises to be more exciting than truly dangerous.

Spa centers

The names of many hotels in Belek contain the word “spa”, indicating that their guests can recover from their rooms in slippers and a bathrobe for relaxation and restoration of mental strength. However, customers “from the street” will also be welcome here.

The spa at the resort cannot be called cheap, but some hotels include some procedures in the list of free services. In addition to regular spa care, thalassotherapy is actively used here. Algae, mud and sea water intensively saturate the skin with microelements, speed up metabolism, strengthen the immune system and promote weight loss.

Cost of treatments at the spa center of the Cornelia Diamond Golf Resort&Spa: hot stone massage - 400 TRY, foam massage in the hammam - 180 TRY, seaweed wrap - 440 TRY, thermal lifting - 600 TRY, facial or chest treatment - 320 TRY.

The treatment programs contain the most popular courses: “Anti-cellulite”, “Weight loss”, “Anti-stress”, “Anti-tobacco”, “Detox”, “Anti-allergy”, “Young mother”. Their optimal duration is 6-10 days. Among the most effective procedures are: Balinese massage, intensive Shiroabhyanga massage, which has a positive effect on the hormonal system and is especially recommended after childbirth, Charcot's shower and afffusion massage under jets of sea water with variable pressure and the use of aromatic oils. Turkish baths, many of which are quite worthy of Ottoman sultans, add an oriental flavor to spa centers.

Golf in Belek

Belek quite rightly claims the right to be called the golf capital of Turkey. Its 8 golf clubs meet the highest international standards and are designed taking into account the natural beauty of the local landscape. One of the best is the National Golf Club (office site in English), with two courses of 18 and 9 holes, built to host international tournaments. It has repeatedly occupied honorary positions in various ratings, including 4th place in the “List of the 100 Best Golf Courses in the World.” National is intended primarily for professional players, and its high status is confirmed by a strict dress code and corresponding prices (2400 TRY for two for 6 hours of training).

The golf season in Belek begins in September, continues throughout the winter and ends with the onset of the summer heat.

Beginners can take a closer look at Tat Golf Belek International Golf Club, where special express programs have been developed for those who pick up a club for the first time.

Belek for children

A visit to the Troy water park in Belek with children is the sacred duty of every self-respecting parent. It is truly made in the style of Homer's Troy - with towers, walls, a legendary wooden horse 25 m high, antique amphorae and animators dressed and armed in ancient Greek. Every day it is besieged by thousands of tourists from all the surrounding resorts. True, unlike its prototype, the modern “Troy” opens the gates to everyone who has paid for admission (the price of an adult/child ticket is 370/about 200 TRY). In addition to a variety of slides for children and adults, waterfalls, pools with standing waves and other attractions, there is a dolphinarium in the park. At 11:00 and 14:30 there is a show with dolphins, sea lions and walruses. For 170 TRY you can take a photo with a dolphin, and for another 500 TRY you can ride on it.

Mild winters, plenty of sunny, warm days and indoor swimming pools help maintain a constant flow of tourists even in the low season. From the end of October to May, hotels are filled with golfers - at this time the weather is simply ideal for them. But in the evening a warm jacket may come in handy.

I remember Belek as a luxury resort with amazing hotels, the entrance to which is strictly guarded. Thus, you find yourself in a real artificial paradise-oasis, where no one can disturb you.

The complex of these hotels usually includes its own water park, a dozen restaurants and bars, and many playgrounds. Some hotels have golf courses, and all large hotels have their own beaches, because they are located right on the first coastline. These complexes, as a rule, have two or three wings or separate buildings, and they are completely self-sufficient: you can spend a week on the territory, and each day will not be the same from the point of view of leisure.

Belek can be described as a very sophisticated resort, but at the same time not at all excursion. There are a few interesting places, which are worth visiting for tourists, but the main show takes place on the territory of the hotels themselves.

You know, everything in Belek is expensive: housing, restaurants, small purchases, souvenirs - absolutely everything, since it is designed specifically for tourists who are prosperous in every sense. How much experience and comfort you get in this place depends proportionally on the cost of the hotel room. Personally, I would advise going to Belek only to those who can afford to rent a room for two at a price of at least 250 USD per night.

I remember Belek as simply an ideal resort, but primarily because I stayed in a 5-star hotel and spent a fortune on it. For the same money you can relax for two full months, renting apartments in Alanya, Antalya or Marmaris, eating at home and in regular fast food, but overall this experience can be called a one hundred percent ideal vacation.

How to get there

The most popular way to get to Kemer is to fly Moscow - Antalya, and then continue on a regular bus. But there are a couple more options, at different times of the year they can cost differently, just choose the cheaper one.

So, all the ways:

  1. by plane - Antalya, then by bus;
  2. by plane - Antalya, then by bus;
  3. by bus or car (expensive and difficult, but possible).

By plane

Antalya Airport is located 45 kilometers from Belek. Regular and charter flights. The airport is also connected by daily flights from Istanbul and Ankara. So there are several ways to fly here. regular flights:

  • from Moscow, a direct flight will last 3 hours, cost from 11,500 RUB (200 USD) in both directions, companies Turkish Airlines and Aeroflot;
  • from Moscow and St. Petersburg with a transfer to, cost from 8,000 RUB (160 USD) in both directions (!), Azerbaijan Airlines.
  • with a transfer in Istanbul, about 4–5 hours, cost from 23,000 RUB (400 USD) round trip, Turkish Airlines.

In the summer there are direct charter flights, tickets for which may cost less, but they need to be booked in time:

  • from Moscow - charter - Antalya, round-trip tickets from 4,500 RUB (80 USD), check which charter companies operate flights to Antalya in 2017 after the break;
  • from St. Petersburg - charter - Antalya, from 7,000 RUB round trip (120 USD), it is better to clarify which charter companies operate flights to Antalya in 2017 after the break.

Look for the most profitable and convenient option using any offer aggregator or on.

How to get from Antalya Airport to Belek

If you arrived in Antalya by plane, then you need to find bus number 600, standing right outside your terminal. It goes to the city center to Antalya bus station Antalya Havalimani. Directly there you can transfer to the bus to Belek. A bus ticket from the airport to Antalya costs 1.4 USD (5 TRY), from Antalya to Belek - 3 USD (10 TRY). The fare, of course, is in lira; you can change the currency at the airport, the rate there is quite acceptable. Payment takes place directly on the bus.

You can also rent a car at the airport, which can be very convenient for those who like to be in control of their holiday travel. True, the price may be too high: good cars cost from 100–150 USD per day (you can see specific offers and prices). There is an option to take a taxi, cost from 50 USD.

How to get from Belek bus station to the hotel

In Belek you arrive at the main bus stop (not the bus station) in the center. I have marked this bus stop on the map below:

From here minibuses run in various directions (1 USD), taxis (5–10 USD) around the city and to distant areas.

By train

In this part of Turkey there is no railway connection at all.

By bus

From Russia there is no easy way to get to Kemer by bus. There is only a long journey with transfers in Moldova, Bulgaria and Istanbul or in Georgia and Ankara. In general, such a journey will take several days and will even be three to four times more expensive than air travel.

By car

From Moscow

You can get to Belek from Moscow by car:

  • through Europe (Ukraine - - -),
  • through Georgia ( - Trabzon - Belek),
  • without transit countries - through and then by ferry to Trabzon (from this city to Belek it is about a 14-hour drive).

The easiest way is to go south along the highway to Rostov, then to, and there take the aforementioned ferry (travel time - 42–50 hours, 3,200 kilometers).

From Saint-Petersburg

It is better to travel from St. Petersburg to Belek by car through European countries, while visiting local attractions. The length of this route is about 4,100 kilometers; you will spend 45–50 hours on the road.

In this case, you need an open Schengen visa, as well as a visa to Serbia if you are not a citizen of the Russian Federation (visa-free regime for Russians staying in the country for less than 30 days).

When is the season? When is the best time to go

There are a lot of all-inclusive hotels here, which open the season at the beginning of April and end at the end of October. From July 1 to August 25 the weather is very, very hot. Besides, best service and full service in all inclusive restaurants during this period. There may be queues in some places, but they can be easily avoided by choosing a higher class hotel.

Of course, I recommend going at the height of summer, then it will be a real hot Turkish holiday. However, the air temperature can rise to +40 °C, which not everyone can easily tolerate. If you are one of these people, I would recommend June (not too hot month with cool water) and September as the beginning of the velvet season.

Belek in summer

Belek in summer is a real hot oven! The average air temperature is 33 °C, water temperature is 25–29 °C. On many days in July and August, as I already said, it can be +40 °C outside. The hottest time of the day is approximately from 13:00 to 16:00, when it is not recommended to leave the shady corners even for 5–10 minutes, especially without a hat.

I would advise all heat lovers to go to Belek in July or August. This is traditional holiday time in Turkey. You can wait out the “dangerous” hours on the hotel grounds: there are plenty of places to relax in the shade and enjoy interesting entertainment.

Belek in autumn

Throughout September and also October, you can enjoy in Belek not only wonderful weather, but also quite high sea water temperatures, quite suitable for swimming. If the complex's pool is in the sun, then you can swim in it in October, regardless of whether it is heated.

In addition, in the fall, all-inclusive hotels offer decent discounts that can help you save up to $1,000 on the same package for four family members. So if you don't like too hot weather, best time to visit Belek - the first two weeks of September or even September - October (daytime temperature - +26–30 °C, water - +26 °C).

Belek in spring

Belek in the spring is not very suitable for a beach holiday; only around May 15th you can hope for slightly cool water suitable for swimming with children. If you are traveling to Belek in April - May, be sure to make sure that your hotel pool has heated water.

To sunbathe, of course, you can go in the second half of March, April and May, but for perfect vacation When it comes to swimming, it’s better to choose the summer months. If you want to save on the cost of a hotel room, book for September or October rather than May.

Most likely, heat-loving tourists will not want to swim here in May or even in early June. However, the air temperature is ideal for sunbathing and summer relaxation.

Belek in winter

Belek in winter is completely unsuitable for tourists who love beach holidays, since most hotels are simply closed and the streets are deserted. The average temperature during the day is + 14 °C, at night - +8 °C, the water temperature is only +17 °C.

If you are looking for where to go on vacation in winter, it is better to choose or, they are always wonderful! In the cold season, Belek will be interesting only for golfers, since the city has several famous golf centers, where championships and competitions are held in winter, and they also operate year-round open hotels.

If you want to celebrate New Year in your beloved Turkey in Belek, know that some hotels operate all year round at a decent level of service. Choose one that has a heated indoor pool, hammam and party New Year's Eve, then you will have an excellent holiday!

Districts. Where is the best place to live?

In that resort town there are four major districts:

  1. Coastline, completely occupied by hotels. It is better to stay here for those who want luxury and chic during the holidays. You need to be prepared to pay 180–650 USD per day for a double room with full board.
  2. Center, which we are accustomed to consider an independent resort. It is best to settle here for those who want to save money on rent during a typical 7-day vacation and cook in the apartment themselves. Average housing prices are: 40–60 USD per day for a small apartment and 20–80 USD for a double room in a relatively small hotel.
  3. Kadriye- a small area near the central one, built up mainly with villas. It is suitable for those who want to stay in Belek for the whole summer. Rent and the presence of a swimming pool here can be very tempting! On average, a villa will cost 70–150 USD per day;
  4. Serik, which is a real city, not a resort. It has a northern part near the highway and a southern part near the sea. In the coastal area, housing will cost about 200 USD for a double room in a large hotel and about 200–300 USD per month for an apartment in the center of Serik.

All areas, except the Coastline, are located at some distance from the sea. The line itself is entirely occupied by expensive 4* and 5* hotels, which are club hotels and very large, many of them, as I said at the beginning, have golf courses, their own water parks, dozens of restaurants, etc.

The coastline runs along the entire length of the resort; the quality of accommodation on it depends on the “star rating” of the hotel, its level and service, and not on the specific location. All beaches are approximately the same, but those located near expensive hotels have more amenities for adults and children.

When you decide which area you need, look at the current offers and prices on one of the aggregator sites, you can. It’s better to book your favorite option at. Lots of ads with villas and apartments. By the way, it is possible that there will be some profitable package tours during your trip, look for them.

Main attractions. What to see

Since Belek is a resort focused on 5-star hotels and golf courses, all the main attractions are located outside of it. In the vicinity of the city there are three historical zones. The ancient cities of Aspendos and Perge are a must-see for anyone who loves antiquities, architecture and is interested in the past of different cultures.

I have marked all the main attractions, which I will discuss in more detail below, on this map.

Top 5

The ancient city of Side (Side Antik Kenti) and the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, 47 kilometers from Belek

The ruins of the Temple of Apollo are located on the embankment, in the ancient city itself you will find a theatron (a huge ancient theater), an orchestra theater, various arches, monuments, there are partially preserved streets, columns and remains of the city defensive wall.

All structures were built approximately 2 thousand years ago. I would highly advise you to visit this attraction, because own experience I can say that these are the second most atmospheric ruins in Turkey after Ephesus.

How to get there

It is best to take a tour of the Ancient City of Side from your hotel or tour desk in the center of Belek. Cost about 35 USD.

You can get there by bus with a transfer in Serik, the cost of the transfer is about 4 USD (12 TRY) one way. You need to get off in Belek at the bus station, then walk 2 minutes towards the Amphitheater or Temple of Apollo following the signs (from the bus station turn left, the city will be on the right).

Above I showed the route from Belek to Side by car.

Entry fee and opening hours

Entrance cost is 8 USD; entrance to the Bolshoi Theater is paid separately (another 3 USD). Opening hours: from 9:00 to 19:00.

Ancient city of Aspendos, 18 kilometers from Belek

Another historical attraction that attracts all tourists in Belek.

There is also an ancient theater here, built in 155 AD.

How to get there

I advise you to take a tour to Aspendos from your hotel or office, it usually costs 15-20 USD. It is not possible to get to this attraction by bus.

Above is a map of the route from Belek to Aspendos by car.

Entry fee and opening hours

Entrance to the territory and all museums costs 7 USD. Opening hours: from 9:00 to 19:00.

Koprulu Canyon, 20 kilometers from Belek

Koprulu National Park, like the canyon itself, is free to visit.

True, after walking along the standard route around the canyon, you will probably want to buy a ticket for rafting - rafting down a mountain river.

How to get there

You can order a transfer with rafting directly at the hotel, the price is about 20–30 USD depending on the duration.

Driving route to the canyon:

You need to drive along the D-400 highway on your own, then before the river turn left to the end. Important: if you go on your own and want to see the canyon itself, you need to go beyond the site with tourist buses (which brought people for rafting) another 5-7 kilometers through the village of Beshkonak. You can explore the canyon here with Turkish guides on an inflatable boat.

Cost and opening hours

You can visit the Canyon from 9:00 to 20:00. The cost of rafting is 25 USD for adults and 15 USD for children.

Ancient city of Perge, 29 kilometers from Belek

A historical landmark full of real valuable minerals.

Antique city with a well-preserved stadium, amphitheater, Roman baths, boulevards, where excavations are still underway in search of new treasures.

How to get there

You can get here on your own by bus to the neighboring village of Aksu (Belek - Antalya route), and then walk 20 minutes along the right road north towards the mountains following the signs.

Above you can see how to get to Perge by car.

Entry fee and opening hours

Entry cost is 7 USD per person, Perge is open from 9:00 to 19:00.

Kursunlu Waterfalls, 35 kilometers

A unique opportunity to experience the real wildlife close to the main tourist resorts (Antalya, Belek) of Turkey and visit national park.

How to get there

You can get to Kurshunlu National Park along the highway to Antalya, turning right in front of the airport onto highway D-685.

The best time to come here is own car, by taxi or with a tour. True, excursions are not organized from Belek; from here everyone, as a rule, travels by taxi. The cost of a taxi one way is about 30 USD (50 USD in both directions).

It turns out that a visit to the park will cost a family of four 55 USD (including the entrance ticket). You can stay in the park for any amount of time; the entire territory is accessible until closing. You will be given a map and you can choose a route based on how much time you want to spend visiting. To inspect best places, it will take 3–4 hours, the minimum route with the waterfall is 2 hours.

On the map above I marked a waterfall, observation points, bridges over mountain rivers. Maybe it will come in handy :).

Entry fee and opening hours

The cost of entry to the national park is 1.2 USD (4 TRY). It is open from 9:00 to 20:00.

Beaches. Which ones are better

general information

The coastline of Belek occupies more than 14 kilometers - an endless string of beaches, each with sun loungers, but only guests of hotels on the first line can use them for free. For everyone else, rental will cost 3–6 USD per day in good hotel and 10 USD per day in expensive. Tropical tents from 60–90 USD per day for the whole company, including lunch and drinks for everyone.

However, all the beaches are so huge, wide and long that there is always a place for everyone. For tourists who are staying in the center of the resort and do not want to pay for a sun lounger, there are free areas on some hotel beaches and between them.

Wild beaches located to the left of the Belek coastline, near the river. Water activities usually accessible every kilometer. There are no cafes or restaurants, only those located in hotels (expensive, rarely available to non-guests). There are lifeguards at every major hotel, that is, everywhere.

All Belek beaches are sandy, some have pontoons and piers from certain hotels. You will be pleased with the smooth and gentle descent into the water, convenient for children and adults.

From hotels in the center of Belek to the beaches, it’s about a 15-minute walk (1–2 kilometers) along a flat road along picturesque luxury golf courses, and expensive 4* and 5* hotels, as I already said, are located right by the sea. Herself coastline has a width of about 50 meters, somewhere its width can reach up to 150 meters.

If you see advertisements for villas on the beach, keep in mind that most likely they are located 1-3 kilometers west of the center of Belek in a separate suburb between the center of Belek and the center of the Kadriye district.

The beaches have no identification or names. Sometimes they are identified by the name of the hotel in front of which they are located.

The best beaches in Belek

Now I will tell you about two of my favorite beaches in Belek, I, among others, marked them on the map:

Churches and temples. Which ones are worth visiting?

Cami

The main mosque of Belek is located in the city center, next to the square and fountain.

It is active, and you can enter it without paying, however, you need clothes that will cover your shoulders and head for women, no flip-flops or shorts, only floor-length skirts.

Museums. Which ones are worth visiting?

Archaeological museum Antalya

In Belek itself you will not find a single museum, except for museum exhibition halls in ancient ruin cities, so I would advise you to visit the main museum of Antalya.

How to get there

The Archaeological Museum is located on Konyaaltı Cad. Below it is marked on the map along with the bus station in Antalya.

From the bus station you need to take bus number 45 to the center, then along the Konyaalti Cd embankment. walk along the sea to the west, away from the Old Town.

Cost and opening hours

Admission ticket will cost 8 USD. The museum is open from 9:00 to 19:00.

Tourist streets

There are two tourist walking areas in Belek: in the center and in Kadriye. I have marked them on the map below.

Each of them has many boutiques of clothing, shoes and accessories, shops, souvenir shops, as well as cafes and restaurants.

What to see in 1 day

Belek is a fairly popular resort with many interesting places. It is very difficult to choose just one, especially considering that exploring and visiting many of them (ancient cities, water parks, golf) takes the whole day.

I suggest you this compromise route:

  • 09:00 - choice: relaxation on the golf course, in the Troy water park or Land of Legends (200–300 USD) for four or five);
  • 17:00 - visit any of central beaches Belek at sunset after the water park closes;
  • 20:00 - seafood dinner at the chic Deniz Restaurant (100 USD) for four to five people).

What to see in the area

Belek is located on the Anatolian coast of Turkey, and therefore all the cities around it are also touristic, full of hotels, restaurants and entertainment for tourists.

Modern city of Side (45 kilometers)

A small resort east of Belek, together they share several historical sites and ruins that can be accessed from both cities.

In Side itself, apart from the ancient city of Sis, which I already mentioned above in the “Top 5” section, there are no special attractions. However, there is a tourist market, an interesting public beach outside the city with waves, and in the Manavgat area a river with a waterfall and Observation deck overlooking a very beautiful city.

On the map above I have marked the attractions and bus stations of Side and Manavgat.

Antalya (44 kilometers)

A huge city with a large Archaeological Museum, many shopping centers, shops and boutiques, an aquarium and a zoo.

There is an excellent Old Town here with beautiful houses, parks, an old-time atmosphere and interesting tourist shops with souvenirs, fashionable clothes and accessories.

Kemer (90 kilometers)

It makes sense to go here if you really like water parks and want to try another one in Kemer.

In general, the town is very small, and there is no need to go there specially from Belek.

Alanya (100 kilometers)

small town, nevertheless, worthy of your visit. It will be of interest to those who might enjoy a modern archaeological museum, an old castle with a tower, a walk through another beautiful Turkish city with many stunning beaches. Below you will see a map of the resort's attractions and beaches.

Read more about Alanya beaches.

Excursion to Pamukkale and Ephesus (more than 1,000 kilometers in both directions)

Such a two-day trip costs 100 USD. The trip will take a long time, but will show you two of Turkey's most popular attractions.

It takes quite a long time to go there; I would not recommend visiting them if your vacation is less than 14 days. It is much more convenient to go there from Marmaris, or Bodrum (it will not be 1,000 kilometers one way, but half as much), or from (even 200 kilometers). Nevertheless, these excursions are quite popular and are constantly carried out from Belek and Side.

Food. What to try

Belek is, first of all, authentic Turkish cuisine, seafood and a bit of European charm from 4- and 5-star hotels with restaurants serving French and Mediterranean cuisine.

I would advise you to choose only the best and most expensive establishments here, try octopus, salmon, shrimp, crabs, if your budget allows. Or limit yourself to inexpensive canteens with Turkish cuisine, doners (Turkish shawarma), lahmacuns (Turkish pizza) and grilled chicken, if your budget is quite modest.

On the map I marked restaurants and three establishments at expensive hotels (below), which are not open to guests.

Budget

Simply Caddie Beach Restaurant- an inexpensive restaurant with delicious dishes and excellent presentation. It's all in one: seafood, Mediterranean, local Turkish cuisine, steaks and a separate vegetarian menu.

The cost of dinner for one of two courses is about 20–25 USD (60–70 TRY). Open from 9:00 to 23:00. Address: Uckum Tepesi Mevkii | Kadriye Beach

Mid-level

  • Spice Garden Indian Restaurant- a chic restaurant with a variety of Indian, Asian and Baltic cuisine. The cost of dishes starts from 15 USD (35 TRY). Open from 11:00 to 1:00. Address: Atif Zengin Caddesi.
  • Ocean's Fish Greek- a wonderful seafood restaurant at the Maxx Royal hotel. Open from 12:00 to 00:00. The cost of the dishes is quite high, the average bill for dinner for one is more than 30 USD (100 TRY). Address: İskele Mevki Turizm Cad.

Expensive

  • L'amante Restaurant- amazing French restaurant Hotel Rixos Premium Belek. Truly European gallantry and an extensive menu. The cost of dishes is high, from 20 USD (60 TRY) for a main course. The restaurant is open by appointment only from 12:00 to 00:00. Full address: İleribaşı Mevkii P.k. 116, but it is better to search simply by the name of the hotel.
  • Le Jardin- another wonderful French restaurant at the Gloria Serenity Resort. The average bill for one is about 30 USD (100 TRY). Open by appointment, open from 18:00 to 23:00. Full address: Belek Mahallesi, Acisu Mevkii; but, again, it is better to search by hotel name.
  • Deniz Restaurant- has a great varied menu, lots of local fresh seafood and a central location. The average bill for two is about 60 USD (180 TRY), a seafood dish will cost 20–35 USD (60–100 TRY). Opening hours are from 9:00 to 23:00. Address: Akdeniz Mah. Atif Zengin Cad.

Holidays

In winter and summer, Belek hosts a huge number of competitions, tournaments and sporting events. And during the peak tourist season, numerous competitions, beach volleyball competitions and other summer games are held.

But the most amazing show in this region can be found in the ancient city of Aspend, where the International Opera and Ballet Festival is held, which attracts about 20 thousand people from all over the world. IN different years it was held in June, July and September. If you want to come this year, check the dates in advance.

In addition, Belek as a resort is aimed at Russian tourists, so many hotels host concerts of Russian pop stars.

Safety. What to watch out for

Belek, compared to other cities in Turkey, such as or, is very expensive resort. Here you will be hard pressed to find both a cheap restaurant and a cheap hotel. In addition, the upper limit for any purchase is also high in principle, because the majority of tourists here are visitors to 4- and 5-star hotels who paid more than 1,000 USD per person for their week-long vacation.

High prices are the only thing to be wary of in small and hospitable Belek, surrounded by green mountains and golf courses, with endless beaches and excellent accommodation.

Things to do

In Belek best entertainment take place on the basis of the most expensive 5-star hotels. Here you will find an evening show, children's animation, and performances by music and dance groups. Shopping in Belek is not nearly as good as in neighboring big city, so it makes sense to go there for clothes, shoes, and accessories.

The territory of large hotels is full of real autonomous life: there are their own water parks, several parks and swimming pools, a beach, boutiques and shops, up to 15 restaurants and bars per hotel. From the hotels you can easily go on an excursion to ancient cities with Russian speaking guide.

There are many amusement parks and golf clubs in Belek, here are the most popular ones:

I have marked more golf clubs in Belek on this map:

And here are the water parks:

Shopping and shops

There is only one shopping center in Belek - YKM Sport, and it has a fairly simple assortment: only a few stores of clothing, perfumes and accessories. Address shopping center: Beylikler Cd, 07500 Kadriye. Open from 10:00 to 23:00.

Bars. Where to go

The best and most expensive bars, naturally, are in 5-star hotels, but there are a couple of interesting places in the center

  • Gardner's Bar- cheap British pub on 22nd street (Akdeniz Mah) in the center of Belek. There is also a kitchen with the most popular English dishes. You will receive a warm welcome from owner Kim and her daughter Lacey. Open from 11:00 to 2:00. The cost of food and drinks will pleasantly surprise you; the average check for dinner is about 20 USD (60 TRY).
  • Players Lounge- an excellent bar with European snacks. The cost of drinks is from 3 USD (10 TRY). Open from 11:00 to 1:00. Located at: Belek Mah. 45. Sokak, No. 10A/A.

Clubs and nightlife

In most large hotels, evening parties, discos, and various performances are held until 1–2 am. Check the schedule with each specific hotel. Many hotels also have real nightclubs, like Titanic Belek (pictured below).

Since there are few hotels without animation and night shows in this region, there is only one in Belek night club - Sos Disco, which cannot be called real, since it is mainly used by locals. I would not recommend you to visit it.

Extreme Sports

Belek has several options for sports recreation, all of them are available in the format of excursions from hotels:

  • Jeep Safari runs from morning to evening, usually includes breakfast and lunch, costs from 20 USD per person.
  • Rafting and canoeing is held from morning to evening in the area of the Koprulu Canyon. You can organize rafting with an excursion from the hotel, or you can come to the place and arrange it in person. Cost - from 25 USD per person. For those who want less drive and more relaxation, there is the option of going down the river by canoe! It will cost from 20 USD per person.
  • Mountaineering(V national park“Keprulu”) - the opportunity to climb a rock in a national park is hard to miss for those for whom this was a childhood dream! You can order at the excursion stand at your hotel. Cost - from 30 USD.
  • Aquatic species sports- many animation programs of Belek hotels include parachute, water skiing, banana, windsurfing, catamaran, speed boats, jet skis, super marble, frunting, sailing. Cost - from 10 USD.
  • Horseback riding booked as an excursion, cost about 20–50 USD per person, take approximately half a day. An interesting pastime for those who love horses!
  • Golf- you can stay in a hotel with its own golf course, or try the courses of neighboring hotels. The cost of playing 18 holes is about 50–150 USD (depending on the hotel and course) for a group of up to 5 people, another about 30 USD will have to be paid for renting a golf cart.

Souvenirs. What to bring as a gift

There are no notable locally produced souvenirs in Belek.

Souvenir mosaic lamps, Turkish delicacies such as lokuma and pishmanye, as well as textiles remain traditional.

On the map above, I noted the concentration of Belek’s retail outlets, including souvenir shops.

How to get around the city

Belek is a fairly small resort, and the easiest way to get around the city is by taxi rather than by bus. The cars are yellow with black checkers and parked in many places: near hotels, in the center and at the main tourist attractions.

Taxi. What features exist

You can order a taxi from the Belek Taxi company by phone: 0543 535 42 98. The staff speaks Russian, English, Turkish. Remember that you just need to name where to pick you up from and where to bring you. There are no special rules of etiquette or payment; tips are welcome. It is important that you can take a taxi there and back with an unlimited amount of time spent in a restaurant or in shopping arcades, this or another taxi driver from this company will pick you up, and in the round-trip format it will be cheaper. You can also stop a taxi on the street by simply waving your hand - this is a common practice in Turkey.

Here . Most companies have mopeds, convertibles, and luxury cars.

You can also rent a car in the city by simply walking around the center, where there are several rental companies (I have marked them on the map below). Then you can see exactly the car you want to take, and even get a discount when bargaining.

You can rent a car only from the age of 19, as they often require at least 1 year of driving experience, but in practice you have the opportunity to rent a car even at 18 years old if you look the part :). An expensive car is most often not given to people under 25 years of age, and this mainly applies to Russian rather than European tourists.

To rent, you will need a foreign passport, an international driver's license, and sometimes you need to leave a deposit.

Belek is a fairly convenient resort for visiting almost the entire Anatolian coast of Turkey.

If you rent a car, I wholeheartedly recommend taking a ride to the places I marked on the map above.

Belek - holidays with children

If you are going on holiday to Belek with a child, be sure to choose a more expensive hotel, with a larger pool and slides. Even if you are planning a trip to a water park, it is good that the hotel also has several slides for every day.

The best scenario for spending a vacation with a child is no trips to the edge of geography: once to the city center for shopping, once to a water park, at most another excursion to ancient city(Aspendos, ). The rest of the time - restaurant, pool, beach. It is better to spend more time at the pool than at the beach, as there is an opportunity to relax in the shade on the playgrounds and patios, there are restaurants and cafes nearby, and it is much more interesting for children to play in the pool than in the sea.

I would recommend you hotels like The Land of Legends 5* or Bellis 5* with the best landscaped areas and slides for children. Or Club Prive, as an example for those who like a more private environment rather than huge territories, while this hotel is still very convenient for children’s games and leisure.

In Belek, your priorities are not the distance to the water park, but the territory of the hotel itself, including the number and size of slides, the number of pools, the presence of empty terraces for games near them, the possibility of comfortable diving and artificial lagoons (including literally from the villa, like in Club Prive), etc.

!

Rent a Car- also an aggregation of prices from all rental companies, all in one place, let's go!

Anything to add?
