Day 1

• A forced march along Lake Pleshcheevo - so gigantic that with enough imagination it will replace the sea for you if you didn’t get to it again this year.
• Iron Museum. And give me at least one reason why not.
• Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral of the 12th century.
• Forty Saints Church.
• Nikolsky Monastery.
• Blue stone. On the shore of the lake lies a huge boulder, which, according to the information sign, was brought all the way from the Scandinavian mountains. He was worshiped in ancient times, and today the pilgrimage is also very popular.

Day 2

• Steam Locomotive Museum. Located on the opposite side of the lake from the Blue Stone.
• Boat of Peter I. A museum about the flotilla of the most fashionable of our kings. There is an entire estate, a ballroom, an art gallery and the status of the oldest provincial museum in the country (oh how).
• Dormition Goritsky Monastery.
• Berendey's house. Fairytale tower with excursion. Independent travelers are respected here, they promise to seat them not just somewhere, but on the royal throne. There is also a dress-up game for photos.
• Dendrological garden. Of course, with the main garden plant middle zone Russia - a hut on chicken legs.
• Extreme sports enthusiasts should definitely do something special here, for example, fly on a motorized paraglider. Or go kitesurfing. Lake Pleshcheyevo is a mecca for lovers of such things.

Uglich and Myshkin

Each of these cities is interesting in its own way, but it’s not worth trying to fit them into one day, or spending two tourist days in each of them. So geography itself suggested an ingenious weekend route.

Things to do

Day 1: Uglich

• Chambers of the Uglich princes. Take photos and look at museum exhibits.
• The Church of Tsarevich Dmitry on the Blood is the place where the son of Ivan the Terrible accidentally ran into a knife, after which the Time of Troubles began in the country.
• Epiphany Cathedral.
• Museum of Prison Art. The best location of all that we offer you here.
• Uglich hydroelectric power station - for those in love with industrial wonders.
• Fire Tower. Also a landmark.

Day 2: Myshkin

• Museum of the Mouse - there you will find out whether mice really “creep”.
• Palace of the Mouse.
• Museum of Local Lore. There are many different exhibitions here, but, in my humble personal opinion, the most interesting is the one with church figures. It seems that they are Catholic, and in a wooden hut somewhere in Yaroslavl region they clearly don't belong.
• Museum of old technology. Even two. The second is officially called the Club-Museum of Retro Equipment “Crew”.
• Museum of Wooden Architecture. So big (for a tiny town) that you can look at the local houses almost endlessly.
• Monument to Lenin on Uglichskaya Street. It would seem that there is no such good thing, but in Myshkin it’s a very good place - right opposite the temple.
• Myshkin is wonderful for walking. If you want to look at some half-abandoned buildings, he has them. Perhaps this is one of the cutest small towns in Russia.

Sergiev Posad

Pilgrims come here from all over the world, and this is the only city in the Moscow region (and not in another region) that is included in Golden ring Russia. In a small area there are many shrines, historical artifacts and somehow especially beautiful trees.

Things to do

Day 1

• The Holy Trinity Lavra of Sergius is a must-see, regardless of your religion. Architecture is architecture everywhere, and here it will impress even the most callous person on the planet.
• The Gethsemane Chernigov monastery is a more modest place, but also famous, you should go.
• The Sergiev Posad Historical and Art Museum-Reserve is simply the Hermitage at minimum wage. There is almost everything here that is at least a little connected with history.
• The Bells of Rus' Museum is tiny, but worthwhile in the context of domestic tourism. If only because the bells here will be completely different from those you thought about.

Day 2

• Abramtsevo Estate - a full day activity. Many artists were inspired by the local views - Repin, Vasnetsov, Vrubel, Serov, Korovin. There are many houses, exhibition pavilions and other buildings on the territory of Abramtsevo. There are rumors that if you go around them all, the hidden talent of Instagram will be revealed.

Tver

In addition to a completely traditional range of provincial entertainment, there is a lot of useful street art here. This is explained by the convenient location between Moscow and St. Petersburg. You can go crazy over gastronomy - more precisely, over the local beer “Afanasy Nikitin”.

Day 1

• The Imperial Travel Palace is today an art gallery.
• Walking around the city in search of the best graffiti.
• River Station building.
• The Zvezda Cinema is one of the strangest constructivist buildings in the city in the shape of binoculars. If you go to watch a movie, don’t be surprised: instead of boring halls No. 1 and No. 2, you will be enlightened in “Chaplin” or “Fellini”.
• Stepan Razin embankment - for walks.
• Experimentorium is for everyone who skipped chemistry at school, but regrets it a little. In addition to chemical shows, there are nitrogen shows, physics shows, Tesla shows, master classes on soap making and much more. Need to check the schedule website . Keep in mind that the museum is, in general, for children.
• The Goat Museum is another museum you have to go to just because.

Day 2

• If the weather permits, fly on hot-air balloon above the city! You need to book your flight in advance (at least a week in advance); they usually fly early in the morning or late in the evening. Be prepared that it won’t be cheap, but this is the main expense of the trip. The rest (truth) is a penny.
• If you are unlucky or too poor, go learn the main Russian songs at the Mikhail Krug Museum. So that you won’t be ashamed to return to Moscow.
