At the same time, according to travel services, the new rules apply to all tickets with a flight date later than November 20, regardless of the time of purchase. “That is, let’s say a person bought a ticket in August for December with the firm belief that he can take ten kilograms of hand luggage on board, but in fact he will be allowed to carry five, and will be asked to pay extra for the remaining weight,” said a representative of one of the companies.

According to market participants, representatives of Ural Airlines do not contact them. At the same time, possible surcharges for excess hand luggage will have to be compensated by the agents, and not by the airline. “That is, we are now getting into the money. Information about baggage allowances is printed on itinerary receipts and, naturally, we cannot change anything here,” noted a representative of one of the agencies.

A Ural Airlines customer support operator told a Lenta.ru correspondent that hand luggage allowances for flights from November 20 will be changed for tickets already purchased. Moreover, if a passenger comes to the airport with 10 kilograms of luggage, he will be allowed to take it into the cabin of the aircraft, but will be denied baggage allowance. Another option is to take five kilograms into the cabin and check the rest of your items as luggage.
