Speaking about the beaches of Dubai, one cannot ignore Jumeirah Beach, which is one of the top most popular beaches in the United Arab Emirates. It is famous not only for its delicate sand and azure sea, but also for the proudly towering sail hotel Burj Al Arab. This article contains our photos and review of Jumeirah Beach in Dubai. In addition, it was not without useful information about hotels and transport, as well as the pros and cons of the beach.

Photos of Jumeirah Beach Dubai

To better understand the whole setting and atmosphere of the beach, I made a full panorama of it. As you can see, Jumeirah Beach in Dubai does not have a long coastline; it is a relatively small bay, the waters of which are divided into three parts.

Click on the Jumeirah Beach panorama to view it in more detail.

Each part of Jumeirah Beach has a different depth, which is why so far people are swimming in one half of the beach, where it is quite shallow...

Another has red flags indicating danger. Accordingly, you can’t get into the water here; the rescuers immediately whistle at the top of their lungs.

There are quite a lot of people, as you can see in the photo. This is one of the most crowded beaches in the United Arab Emirates.

Therefore, if you want a quiet, relaxing holiday, then Jumeirah Beach is hardly suitable for this.

For lovers of silence, I recommend Al Sufouh beach or beautiful deserted beaches that do not feel the frantic rhythm of the world metropolis.

Services and infrastructure at Jumeirah Beach in Dubai:

  • there are no umbrellas or sunbeds on the beach - vacationers come with their own towels or blankets, on which they sunbathe;
  • there are two rescue towers - rescuers are strictly vigilant and whistle at the slightest violation of order;
  • there is only one cafe on the beach with snacks and light fast food, it is located closer to the road;
  • there are no changing cabins, it is better to come to the beach immediately in a swimsuit;
  • near Jumeirah Beach there is one of the most adrenaline-pumping water parks in the world - Wild Wadi.

Of course, the main vacationers are tourists who want to take a memorable photo against the backdrop of the famous sail hotel Burj Al Arab. Mishuta and I decided not to stand out from the crowd and also clicked the camera shutter)

That's why most visitors don't even go into the water. But Jumeirah Beach in Dubai has amazing fine and soft sand, with practically no shells (only sometimes you come across them in the water), as well as an incredibly clear blue-green sea, so it’s tempting to take a dip here at least once.

Overall, Jumeirah Beach in Dubai is great for both relaxing in the sun and swimming. If people flashing here and there are a little annoying, you can stay in a hotel near the beach so you can go out for sun and sea baths right in the morning, before the tourists arrive in large numbers.

Jumeirah Beach Hotels in Dubai

As many have already guessed, the most popular and impressive hotel near Jumeirah Beach is the sail hotel - the symbol of Dubai.

Below is a list of all hotels near the beach:

All of them are five-star hotels, the price of a night in which reaches $1000, but the level of luxury is, of course, prohibitive.

The only affordable hotel on Jumeirah Beach is - great option right on the first line. Compared to the exorbitant prices of neighboring hotels, this is an excellent alternative for a holiday near Jumeirah Beach Dubai.

How to get to UAE Jumeirah Beach

If you settle in another area of Dubai, you can always just go to Jumeirah Beach for variety and fun. It should be noted that he is among the majority tourist excursions around Dubai. But you can get here on your own in several ways.

Get to Jumeirah Beach by taxi

Taxis in Dubai can be ordered online, the cost depends on the route.

The convenience of this method is that the price for the trip is known in advance. While ordinary city taxis are metered only this way due to the driver circling around unfamiliar neighborhoods for tourists.

Get to Jumeirah Beach in Dubai by Bus

First of all, I would like to say that the metro does not extend to the beaches of Dubai, so you will still have to take a bus from the stations (it’s a bit of a walk, to put it mildly). But the road goes right along the beach.

The movement on it cannot be said to be strong, because... public transport It still goes a block “above” from the beach - there is another highway running parallel there. But still the stop is just a stone's throw away.

The most convenient way to get to the beach is from the bus stop. Umm Suqeim, Park(it is located a block higher from the coastline). The following bus routes stop here:

  • 8 - runs along the coastline through Dubai Marina to the Gold Souk in the Deira area;
  • 88 - runs along the coastline through many beaches to the Deira area;
  • 81 - runs from the metro station Mall of the Emirates to the final station Dubai Mall.

The last option is used most often by tourists. Since you can, for example, do some shopping at the famous Mall of the Emirates, then take bus 81 to Jumeirah Beach - take a photo there and relax, and then again on the same route get to the Dubai Mall, where the Burj Tower is located Khalifa and evening fountain show.

Jumeirah Beach Dubai on the map

On the map below I have marked the beaches of Dubai and Sharjah, including Jumeirah Beach. By clicking on the tags, you can read briefly about each of the beaches, or follow the link to detailed review with photo.

We can say that Jumeirah Beach Dubai is a fairly famous landmark of the UAE, thanks to its proximity to the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel. However, despite the high tourist attendance, there is a beautiful sea and clean beach, where you can relax peacefully until 10 am.

Jumeirah Open Beach is a free city beach in Dubai next to the five-star hotel of the same name. Located along Jumeirah Beach Road. The length of the beach is 800 meters; next to the comfortable recreation areas there is a small bay lined with stones. Tourists like to do things near it bright photos or just take a walk near the rocky embankment. According to vacationers, the beach has all the necessary equipment and is attractive with its location - in other words, it has all the qualities of a beach ideal for relaxation.

Coast and nature

Jumeirah Open Beach, like other beaches in Dubai, is located on the coast Persian Gulf and is washed by its waters. The shore reaches a width of almost 100 meters, it is clean and well-groomed, and is regularly cleared of debris.

Entry into the water is very smooth - in order to swim to a certain depth, you will need to go very far. That is why the open beach of Jumeirah is well suited for families with children; it is absolutely safe. Very close to the recreation area there is a picturesque pier lined with large stones. Near it you can take vivid photographs to remember your holiday in Dubai for a long time.

The surface of the beach is sandy. Unlike pebble, it is much safer. This is why you can walk on the sand without special shoes and fear of scratching your feet on the stones. On the coast you can find shells of interesting shapes, as well as sea urchins and crabs - this can delight small children who love to play with pebbles and look at sea creatures.

In summer, the water temperature at Jumeirah Open Beach can be too high - about 30 degrees. For this reason, autumn is considered the “velvet” holiday season in Dubai - the water cools down to 25 degrees, and climatic conditions become optimal for a comfortable stay at the resort.

Beach infrastructure Jumeirah Open Beach

According to tourists, the beach is equipped with a basic set of amenities - sun loungers and umbrellas and towels, which can be rented for a fee. There are also changing cabins and shower rooms at Jumeirah Open Beach.

There are play areas and playgrounds for children on the beach. For the comfort of athletes and citizens who come to relax by bicycle, rubberized bicycle paths are equipped on the beach. Those who love extreme sensations will also have something to do on the beach - the open beach of Jumeirah offers rental of water transport - catamarans, jet skis and surfboards.

Entrance to the beach is free. By the way, a pleasant bonus for beach visitors is the beautiful view from the coast of the Burj Al Arab sail hotel, which is quite popular and well known to almost every tourist.

Not far from Jumeirah beach Open Beach is home to numerous shopping centers, shops and souvenir shops, as well as catering outlets, restaurants and cafes. Within walking distance from Jumeirah Beach there is the Suqeim Publik Park with an area of 2.5 hectares, which allows you to relax in the shade of trees and stroll among exotic gardens. There is also a kitesurfing point near the beach - this can please fans of extreme sensations. Therefore, every vacationer has a chance to ride the waves on a “board” attached to a kite and experience unforgettable emotions.

Why it's worth a visit

Jumeirah Open Beach combines many advantages that tourists focus on. Firstly, there is always free entry to the beach - you will only need to pay for the rental of the facilities you have chosen. Secondly, the beach is clean and well-maintained - clear water and fine, pleasant sand cannot leave any tourist indifferent. Thirdly, the beach is surrounded by shops, squares and parks - you can immediately go from beach holiday to shopping and vice versa.

How to get to Jumeirah Open Beach

The Jumeirah Open Beach beach area is located in the area of the same name on the left side of Jumeirah Beach Road. This area can be reached from almost anywhere in Dubai in literally 20 minutes - there are direct transfers, minibuses and taxis. Almost every tour operator includes a trip to this beach in its excursion program. Therefore, even if your hotel is far from Jumeirah Open Beach, you will certainly find yourself there at least once.

To get to Jumeirah Open Beach, you need to get off at World Trade Station and walk to Al Diyafa Street - from there there is a direct bus to the beach. You can also use a local taxi service such as Uber. A trip from Dubai Mall metro station will cost around 15 AED.

Jumeirah Open Beach on video

Dubai has opened up a lot of new and amazing things for Russian tourist. Dubai has it all: fabulously rich sheikhs, cool Instagram photos and the most advanced architecture in the world. But what could be better for an ordinary Russian person than warm beach with clean water and all the accompanying delights of civilization? You know? Me not. Therefore, let's look at the beaches of Dubai: what features they have and what you need to know about before your trip.

In this article we look at:

Al Mamzar Park. Photo: © flickr/Fabio Achilli

Al Mamzar Beach Park is located at the junction of Deira and Sharjah. Most of budget hotels in Deira (the old district of Dubai) bring their guests here. In fact, there is no sea on Al Mamzar - it is an artificial lagoon-lake. This body of water is called Al Mamzar Lake. The lake is low-flow, shallow and without waves. The water warms up quickly and cools down just as easily. In March, the water on Al Mamzar is warmer than on other beaches, but in winter the opposite is true.

You can get to the beach by hotel bus or taxi. Paid services:

  • entrance - 5 AED;
  • car parking - 30 AED;
  • sun lounger - 15 AED;
  • umbrella - 10 AED;
  • swimming pool - 10 AED.

Sun loungers/umbrellas are rented only on the first beach from the entrance, where there are the most people. The farther you are from the entrance, the calmer it is, so it’s better to take your umbrellas and beach chairs and relax normally.

Al Mamzar Park at night. Photo: © flickr/Black Zero

In addition to tourists, workers from disadvantaged countries (with corresponding habits) and local Arabs with their families like to come here. If at the beginning of the week the park is more or less calm, then on Thursday - Saturday it is too crowded. By the way, Monday and Wednesday are women's days, entry is only for women and boys under 4 years old.

Al Mamzar is not the cleanest beach in Dubai. It is cleaned, of course, but bulls and small debris are found everywhere. But the water is clean, the approach is smooth, the sand is without pebbles. Walking barefoot on the surf line is a pleasure.

Ideas off topic. You can find out what prices are now for tours to the Emirates on the websites of online travel agencies:

They are no different from ordinary travel agencies, except that they do not hide the availability of tours with promotions and promotional rates, which are not profitable for offline travel agencies to sell.

In general, the park and beach are well maintained, with good infrastructure. There is a place to shower and change clothes, there are toilets and picnic tables and benches with umbrellas and barbecue grills. There are several cafes, but they don’t sell normal (in our understanding) food. The menu includes cola, burgers, and french fries. Locals come to the barbecue with their own products. I recommend doing the same.

Jumeirah Public Beach - La Mer

For a long time, Jumeirah Public Beach was closed for renovations. Now part of the beach is open under a new name - La Mer. Many tourists who have visited the updated JPB consider it best beach Dubai!

The highlight of La Mer is a developed coastal area.

La Mer is a free entrance, clean sand and clear sea, scrubbed toilets, bicycle and walking paths, children's entertainment, shops and cafes, stylish design of the territory with a lot of graffiti and street art for cool photos. You can get there either by your own/rented car, taxi or buses 9 and 88. As far as I know, hotel transfers rarely come here yet.

Mid-range beach (prices in AED):

  • sun lounger + umbrella - 100;
  • 2 sun loungers + umbrella - 180;
  • towel for deposit - 60;
  • - 125;
  • car parking - 20/hour.

The downside of the beach is that the swimming area is not very large; those who want to swim far will not like it. But it is ideal for families with children.

Jumeirah Beach Park

A wonderful beach with canopies, changing cabins, toilets and... Actually everything. You can get there by taxi and bus. The beach is located north of Palma. Another plus is that entry to this beach is free. In any case, it was before. Why was it? Yes, because the beach is closed for restoration and it is unknown when it will be opened again

Kite Beach. Photo: © flickr/Oiva Eskola

Kite Beach or beach kites- one of the best among public ones. It offers a beautiful view of the Parus Hotel. Kite is the “base” beach where hotels in Al Barsha, Al Safa and Um Suqqeim take tourists, so it can be very crowded at times.

The beach is wide, there is enough space for everyone. The sand is cleaned, the water in the sea is clean, the entry is smooth. There are often waves and wind at Kite Beach (hence Kite). There are no serious problems with waves, but light plastic umbrellas can be broken by the wind. Prices for services are standard average for Dubai (prices in AED):

  • entrance - free;
  • umbrella - 50;
  • sun lounger + umbrella - 100;
  • 2 sun loungers + umbrella - 160;
  • parking - from 0 to 50 depending on the parking lot.

The infrastructure is well developed: lifeguards, surfboard rentals, kite lessons, gadget recharging areas, a treadmill, showers, toilets, cafes. There are no “women’s” days.

Beach club Sole Mio on Kite Beach is for those who love comfort.

And now about the cons. Showers are located away from the sea. There are many visiting workers from Pakistan and India who come to Kite Beach to look at the “white horses”. It's stupid to blame them. Girls tucking their panties between their buns, wearing triangular strings instead of a swimsuit, taking pictures in provocative poses against the backdrop of the Burj Al Arab... Please do not forget that the Emirates is a Muslim country! The problem of visiting workers exists on all the beaches of Dubai; if you don’t want to fall under their attention, then behave appropriately.

You can get to the beach by taxi, car, hotel transfer and city bus.

The first and only one on our list " wild beach" This is the best place in Dubai for camping right on the seashore. Black Palace Beach, Al Sufouh Beach, Secret beach - quiet and calm, uncrowded. On weekends (Thursday - Saturday), local Arabs like to come here with whole families, but they don’t bother anyone, and the locals won’t go anywhere for a vacation.

Apart from the crowds of tourists, there is no infrastructure. There are no umbrellas, sun loungers, cafes, showers, or toilets. There are clean sand, clear water and stunning views of the city, especially at night or at sunset (although who would be surprised by this in Dubai?). In general, for lovers of peace and solitude - perfect place.

Umm Suqeim Beach. Photo: © flickr/Tobias Scheck

According to rumors, the beach best view to the Parus Hotel. These rumors were unanimously joined by tour guides who included the beach in their familiarization tour of Dubai. The result: crowds of tourists scurrying back and forth, slightly overexcited by the excursion movement, trapped by time and a great desire to re-photograph everything. Annoys.

Some hotels bring their guests here, but it’s unclear why. The beach is poorly equipped. It is completely free, and therefore offers visitors: 1 changing room, 1 shower and 1 toilet. I haven’t seen any more, and tourists don’t find these either. There are legends that in special days lunar calendar you can even find sun loungers and umbrellas (for 50 dirhams), but I can’t guarantee

You can get to Umm Suqeim Beach by taxi or car. It’s a bit far from the metro station, but if you really want to and it’s not too hot, you can walk there in 35–40 minutes.

Is it worth coming here? Well, maybe for the sake of a new photo on social networks. For a beach holiday, it is better to look for another beach or move away from the parking lot and Parus.

Barasti Beach Club Beach Club) is one of the most popular beaches in Dubai. Located in the Dubai Marina area, almost at its very end, near the Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina hotel. The views of the skyscrapers of Dubai Marina are amazing.

The beach is very well maintained, clean, with white sand and turquoise water. The bottom is of very good quality, soft, the entrance to the sea is gentle.

Entrance to the beach is free, including sun loungers, a swimming pool, toilets, changing rooms and showers. Please note that documents and availability of water/food are checked at the entrance. You can't take anything with you! All this (including alcohol) can be purchased in cafes and restaurants right on the beach.

All kinds of events, sweepstakes, and competitions are constantly held on the beach. The beach club has a separate sports bar with a giant screen showing sports matches. During important sporting events, a large screen is also installed right on the beach.

On Fridays, Barasti Beach transforms into one of the... best clubs Dubai. On this day, entrance fee for men is 150 AED, girls are free.

The downside is that sometimes there are too many drunk people (the sale of alcohol on the beach makes its presence felt).

Marina Beach or JBR

Considered the best beach in Dubai. Why? Great infrastructure! She's really cool! The Walk, children's playground, water attractions, great amount cafes, shops (including branded ones), restaurants, bars, coffee shops, The Walk promenade and other little things. The beach offers impressive views of skyscrapers, a great backdrop for photos!

Zero Gravity

Zero Gravity is not only a beach club, but also a night club! So in Zero Gravity you can enjoy doing nothing on the beach in the morning, and have a blast under the lights in the evening. This, in my opinion, is one of the best places Dubai in all respects. There is nothing to complain about.

The beach at the club is excellent, there are plenty of sun loungers. The restrooms are in excellent condition, there are make-up mirrors, hair dryers, showers with clean towels, shampoo, shower gel and body cream.

The pool with a glass side allows you to take cool photos under water, and there are free inflatable unicorns and flamingos that the girls love. The bar and restaurant are amazing: very tasty cuisine, large portions, drinks for every taste.

The club is open from 8-10 am as a beach, but after 19:00 the beach part of the club closes and the “adult” part of the life of the Zero Gravity club begins . Please note that in the evening, as well as on Fridays and Saturdays, even during the day, guests under 21 years of age are not allowed into the club

The entrance fee depends on the day and the composition of tourists:

Sunday - Thursday:

  • one adult 150 AED (of which 50 AED is a deposit that can be spent on food and drinks);
  • for a couple 250 AED (75 AED deposit);
  • children from 4 years old 100 AED (25 AED deposit), up to 4 years old - free.

On weekends (Friday and Saturday) and holidays:

  • one adult 250 AED (100 AED deposit);
  • for a couple 450 AED (150 AED deposit);
  • children from 4 years old 175 AED (50 AED deposit), children under 4 years old - free.

Girls on Tuesdays have free admission + a cocktail compliment, but you need to sign up in advance (more details on the club’s Instagram and website).

Dubai beaches on the map:

Dubai is a great place to relax. There is architecture, cool shopping centers, gorgeous beaches, and, of course, beaches for every taste. Some people like deserted and barely decorated, or even completely wild, while others enjoy good company and a variety of gourmet restaurants right next to the sun lounger. “The taste and color...”, as they say. But the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and comfortable on the beach; if not, the neighboring beach is already waiting for you with open arms. You are not a tree!

P.S. Join my VKontakte group, write comments below, dream, pack your bags and never forget that the journey itself is important, not the destination

There are many beaches in the city, however, all of them can be divided into three conditional categories:

Free,
public parks-beaches;
hotel beaches or beach bars.

As you understand, free beaches are good because they do not require an entrance fee. However, tourists attribute a lot of advantages to them. For example, in such places it is not prohibited to photograph anything, there are no women’s days to visit, there are no buoys installed beyond which it is forbidden to swim, and so on, that is, there is much more freedom of action that we are accustomed to. Therefore, it is not for nothing that local hotels often organize transfers of vacationers to the free beaches of Dubai, included in the price of the tour.

As for hotel beaches, every hotel located on the first line has them. And if you are staying in a city hotel, you can choose between free and city beaches. As a rule, from each hotel in Dubai there is either a free transfer or a bus with a reasonable fare - about 5 dirhams (just under $1.5). 4- and 5-star hotels in Dubai enter into agreements with transport services for free transportation services for vacationers. However, tourists often use taxi services, since they are inexpensive here - about 20 dirhams or 5 dollars for travel to the nearest beach.

Now let's talk in more detail about the famous beaches of Dubai.

One of the favorite vacation spots of tourists, which is located near the Burj Khalifa skyscraper and the Dubai Mall. The park itself occupies about 13 hectares, and the length of the beach strip is almost 1 kilometer. Everything here is so wonderfully decorated that it resembles a paradise built in the desert. An abundance of palm trees, green lawns, playgrounds, picnic areas, a rock garden, picturesque flower beds with exotic flowers, clean well-maintained beach- what else do you need to enjoy life during your vacation?! Also in the park there is a cafe, volleyball courts and an open stage where artists perform regularly. Open daily from 8.00 to 22.00, but on Mondays and Saturdays only women and children under 5 years old are allowed on the beach. Advice from seasoned tourists: don’t come here on Friday, when everyone living in Dubai has a day off, because there’s nowhere to fall in the park. Entrance is inexpensive - 5 dirhams, which is equal to 1.5 dollars; use of a sunbed - 10 dirhams (almost 3 dollars), price for entry of a car (information for those who are planning to rent a car) - 20 dirhams (5.5 dollars).

AlMamzar Beach Park (Mamzar public beach park)

The second most popular park-beach, occupying an entire peninsula of 7.5 hectares, located actually on the border with Sharjah. The park is very beautiful and green, here you can admire the wooden fortress, catch a performance in the local amphitheater, enjoy Arabic cuisine in restaurants, play slot machines, ride skateboards and jet skis, and buy souvenirs. A colorful train runs through the park, so you can enjoy the surroundings from the wheels. The length of the park's coastal strip is 3,600 meters, of which 1,700 are beaches. The highlight of the beach area is a huge swimming pool and beach houses equipped with air conditioning and barbecue areas. Huge palm trees grow right out of the sand, which gives the holiday a native flavor. Tourists love this park. The local comfortable houses are very popular, so it is recommended to reserve places in advance.
