Bad hotel, don't spoil your holiday.
I am writing for the sake of solidarity with vacationers, whom I visited quite recently, traveling to Vietnam and staying at this hotel.
LOCATION: from Cam Ranh airport (Nha Trang city) it takes 6 hours to get to the hotel, as the bus constantly drops off tourists at their hotels in Mui Ne, and Sea Lion 2 is the last one in the queue (Ke Ga village). The road is very exhausting. The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, there are no restaurants, no cafes, no infrastructure, a complete separation from civilization. There’s nowhere to even go for a walk, in a week you’ll howl like a wolf, fortunately there were Russian tourists, we played mafia with them in the evenings at the reception). The nearest city of Phan Thiet is 30 minutes by bus (free bus runs from the hotel once a day). Along with the tourists, there is a bus full of hotel staff, screaming and unwashed Vietnamese, arrogant and unceremonious. In Phan Thiet, change to a local bus and travel 20 minutes to Mui Ne, the main tourist area of ​​southern Vietnam. In general, it will only take you 1 HOUR to get to one street on the coast, where there are hotels on one side and cafes and shops on the other. Everything is dirty, unkempt and very poorly equipped. There is something to compare with: Phuket is more civilized in this regard, but in terms of how much, in almost everything, Viet is inferior to Thai.
FOOD: monotonous, they give you fruit, meat, salads, soups, but everything is tasteless and gets boring on the 3rd day, although I am not picky about food. Basically, all tourists only come for breakfast, so the question always arises of where to have lunch and dinner. Either stock up on groceries in advance at the local supermarket in Phan Thiet, or go to the same restaurant and eat the same food, or go to Mui Ne 50 km from the hotel and eat there, which is again a chore.
STAFF: seems to be welcoming and friendly when you have to make contact with them or meet them on the streets or in the corridors, but they don’t speak English, much less Russian. Even if they managed to explain their problem, they are in no hurry to help.
SEA, BEACH: the beach at the hotel is very small and dirty, there are few sun loungers, it’s elementary, no one is in a hurry to remove large garbage, bags, bottles, pieces of paper, I’m not even talking about the numerous shells, fish, twigs and other little things... not pleasant. ... The sea is cloudy, very often there is wind and, accordingly, high waves. And it’s very shallow; to enter up to your chest you have to walk about 150 places from the shore. And the guide immediately warned us that there were jellyfish in the sea, and the Man of Portugal appeared - the most poisonous jellyfish in the world, it stings to death. She didn’t get caught, but the ordinary ones stung several people from the vacationers.
TERRITORY: quite good, well-groomed, large area, the only thing that pleased me. A couple of swimming pools, a bar, palm trees, greenery and flowers all around, the photos look good)), but nothing more.
ROOMS: decent new rooms, renovation and furniture are up to standard, but again, there are ants crawling around, which you can’t escape, getting into food and sweets.
AND THE MOST IMPORTANT!! In a hotel or on the beach (no one understood) insects bite, either bedbugs, or beach fleas or midges, which you don’t feel when bitten, but after a day or two a terrible itching begins and red blisters appear that cover the entire body !! Our entire hotel was bitten, it was a terrible sight! Everyone was itching, the remnants of good impressions were completely erased from memory. To the staff and host represented by PEGAS TOURISTIC, hotel guide ERNEST, he didn’t care at all about our irritation and indignation. This Ernest didn’t even want to listen to anything about the situation, he raised his voice, spoke rudely and boorishly, he got the grandmother’s company - and great, the rest doesn’t concern him. He gave us the phone number of the local Pegasus representative in Nha Trang, who in turn sent us to the VSK insurance company, but, as you understand, bites are not an insured event. Fix your problem yourself!
IN SUMMARY, THE BOTTOM LINE: dear tourists, if you have already chosen Vietnam to visit, then choose NOT THIS HOTEL, where the 4* level does not reach even three, do not spoil your vacation and impressions, save your health, nerves, strength and time!! ! It’s better to overpay a little for the trip and choose another hotel than to suffer like we did. And the tourist area of ​​KeGa-Phan Thiet-Mui Ne itself is not a fountain, dirt, poverty and the stench of garbage and local food everywhere, a sad sight, no beach and sea. It is better to choose Nha Trang for visiting; hotels, sea, beach and infrastructure are better there. The only thing I really liked were the excursions to the island entertainment Vinpearl in Nha Trang and the city of Dalat, very beautiful, lively and interesting, just cool)
