Vietnam Nha Trang Park by cable car. An amusement park on Vinpearl Island and the longest cable car over the sea in Nha Trang. Mi Teleferico in Bolivia

In the twentieth century, along with the successful development of alpine skiing, the construction of cable cars began all over the world. This type of transport has not lost its relevance even now, becoming more and more popular. Listed below are several operating ropeways, which cannot be described without the prefix “most”.

The Tatev Road, also called “Wings of Tatev”, is located in Armenia. Stretching over the mountain river Vorotan, flowing along the bottom of a deep abyss, the cable car connects the villages of Halidzor, located not far from the Yerevan highway, and Tatev, located near the world-famous monastery.

“Wings of Tatev” is a pendulum-type cable car designed for passenger transportation. Its length is 5752 m, which is a world record for pendulum-type lifts. The cabin, which can accommodate 25 passengers, moves at a speed of 37 km/h, respectively, the ascent lasts 11 minutes 25 seconds.

“Wings of Tatev” was included in the Guinness Book of Records not only as the longest cable car in Armenia, but also as the cable car built in the shortest time in the world – 10 months. It is also the longest pendulum road in the world.

The construction of the road was carried out by Armenian craftsmen, and the project was developed by employees of an Austrian-Swiss company. The air route came into operation in 2010.

Residents of nearby settlements can ride the cable car for free, and guests of the country for travel in one direction must pay 6 €.

Vinpearl in Vietnam

Vinpearl is an air route in Vietnam connecting the mainland and Hon Tre Island, where a huge amusement park Vinpearl Land has been created.

“Vinpearl” is the longest cable car in the world over the sea, its length is 3311 m. The road is supported by 9 supports, 7 of which stand directly in the sea. The highest support reaches a height of 115 m, of which 40 m is under water. The cabins move at a distance of 70 m above the water, and they move quite slowly - the entire journey in one direction takes about 20 minutes. Each cable car cabin can accommodate 8 people.

The longest cable car in Vietnam, Vinpearl Cable Car, was built in 2007 and was designed by Swiss engineers. They also made sure that this structure was aesthetically attractive: in the evenings, the road supports are illuminated, making them look like miniature Eiffel Towers.

Genting Cable Car in Malaysia

In Malaysia there is a unique city of Genting, which is, in fact, a huge entertainment complex - it is well known to fans of night discos and clubs, gambling and various attractions. Genting is located on a mountain whose height reaches 2000 m, and the most convenient way to get there is to take the cable car.

The Genting cable car is quite long - about 3380 m. It is recognized as the fastest in the world, since its cabins travel 6 m/s, and the time to climb the mountain is only 11 minutes. There are 8-seater multi-colored gondolas to accommodate passengers.

The fastest cableway in the world was put into operation in the winter of 1997.

The main stretch of the fairly long route is above lush rainforest, making it extremely popular not only among players looking to get to Genting, but also among regular travelers.

The ascent on the Genting cable car is accessible even to tourists with small finances, since ticket to the mountain and back costs about $3.

Gulmarg in India

One of the longest and highest cable tracks in India is recognized as an aerial route in the ski resort of Gulmarg in the Himalayas.

The total length of the route is about 5000 m. The starting point is Gulmarg station at an altitude of 2700 m. The first part of the cable car takes travelers to Kongdori station, and the second to Afarwat station, located at altitudes of 3100 m and 4114 m, respectively. Every hour, up to 600 people climb to the top along this air route.

Tickets for the first and second sections of the road are sold at different prices: $2.7 and $4.6 respectively.

The construction of the gondola lift at the Gulmarg resort was carried out by employees of the Pomagalski organization from France. The cableway began lifting passengers up the mountain in 2005.

Peack 2 Peack Gondola, British Columbia, Canada

The Peak 2 Peak Gondola, operating in British Columbia, stretches between the Blackcomb and Whisler mountain peaks.

The route is long - 4400 m, but the most unique thing is the road spans. The distance between the supports is 3030 m, which is the longest length for lifts of this type. Travel time between the end points of the route is 11 minutes.

During the ride, passengers on the cable car have a 360-degree view of volcanic peaks, rainforests and glaciers.

Mi Teleferico in Bolivia

The Mi Teleférico road was built as an alternative to public transport, with its help people can quickly climb from La Paz to the high altitude El Alto (4150 m).

Mi Teleférico is the longest cable car in the world, reaching a length of 30,000 m. But it only takes 25 minutes to cover this distance. Every day the cable car carries about 160,000 passengers.

The cable car in Bolivia is completely new - it has been in operation since 2014, and by 2030 it is intended to be expanded to increase the number of people transported daily to 300,000.

In January 2018, Mi Teleferico was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest cable car in the world.

Cable car in Zhangjiajie Park, China

In Zhangjiajie Park in China, there is a lift that takes tourists to the top of the picturesque Tianmen Mountain. The funicular is also used by pilgrims from all over the world traveling to the cave Buddhist temple “Heaven’s Gate” located on this mountain.

The funiculars move at the lowest speed for cable cars: the 7455 m long journey takes 30 minutes.

Psekhako-II-A3 in Sochi, Russia

The Psekhako-II-AZ cable car in Sochi was built as a large-scale transfer point, providing tourists with an ascent to the Aibga and Psekhako ridges. Psekhako-II-AZ became part of the Alpika-Service lift system.

The suspended gondola lift Psekhako-II is the longest cable car in Russia, its length along the slope is 5369.7 m. The Russian lift is capable of serving about 3000 people per hour.

The Psekhako-II ropeway was built for the 2014 Olympics.

The construction of Psekhako-II was carried out by Rosengineering specialists; the equipment was produced by Doppelmayr (Austria) and Garaventa (Switzerland).

“The highest cable car in the world” - this is said about Telerifico de Merida. It was built to transport passengers from Merida (the starting station is located in the Barinitas area) to the peak of Espejo, which rises 4756 m above sea level.

The total length of this cable car, consisting of 4 sections, is 12,500 m. This distance is covered by cable cars in almost 2 hours.

Tourists planning to travel to the top of Espejo need to take into account: there is a huge difference in altitude between the starting and ending stations. This means that when you get up, your health may worsen.

The lift was created in the 1960s. It was closed in 2008, and modernization began in 2011. In April 2017, the passenger cable car began operating again.

Cabrio in Switzerland

There is only one double-decker open-top cabin in the world - it is installed on the Swiss Cabrio cable car. This road leads to the top of Mount Stanshorn (1850 m).

The path begins in the village of Stans, which can be reached from the center of Lucerne in 15 minutes by any means of transport. From the village to the first station of the cable car, at an altitude of 711 m, the world's oldest rail funicular, assembled back in 1893, runs.

The cabin can accommodate 60 people at a time. During the trip, you are allowed to move from a closed to an open deck and back. The main difference between the decks is that the Cabrio's second floor offers breathtaking 360-degree views.

Our reviews of Vinpearl in Nha Trang

Useful advice:

If you want to have time to visit all the attractions, electric sleigh, water park, aquarium, show - come the day before opening. In reality, even in a full day it’s difficult to do everything, let alone if you come here for lunch.

Like real owls, we reached the station by 12.00. Well, we bought the ticket on the bus from the conductor. Otherwise, we would have to wait in a long line.

At the entrance to the funicular there is such a nice fountain.

Queue to the booths.
People quickly hop on and go to Winpearl Island.

The views of Vietnam from there are stunning. It is very interesting to see Nha Trang and the island of entertainment from above.

Watch a short video in which I tried to convey all the charm of the trip.

Amusement park

The first thing we liked was the roller coaster. Everyone took a ride. They even let an 8-year-old child in. But the second time he did not go himself. It turned out to be too extreme for him.

Roller coaster video.

Another exciting attraction is Flight to the Sky. Not recommended for children under 140 cm.

For the most courageous there is the Top Spin carousel. None of us dared to hang upside down.

The park area is very beautiful. Every meter is simply created for photo shoots.

Beautiful castles. The cleanliness around is perfect.

Since 2018 The Ferris wheel is working. Vinpearl Sky Wheel is now the largest wheel in Vietnam. Its height is 120 meters. Before this, the wheel in the city of Danang was considered the leader in height.

We decided to skip the zoo, as we had seen enough animals in Pattaya. Walking around the territory we met monkeys on the rocks and a rhinoceros.

Aquapark in Winperl

July turned out to be very hot (35-37 degrees), so we decided to go for water activities. But even with a map, I had to look for the water park.

And here is the entrance.

Going inside the water park we saw the Multi-slide. They quickly threw off their things, took the rugs and ran up. At the top we were met by a worker who showed us the correct position for skiing and gave the start command. In the end, we liked this slide the most. Everyone rode with pleasure many times.

The Kamikaze slide is more exciting. Sometimes the swimming trunks turned into thongs after skating).

This is the Tsunami water slide. It’s only scary at the beginning, during the descent.

Children shorter than 140 cm are not allowed into the Toilet. The youngest just watched. And the eldest really liked it.

Wide family slide. 4-8 people ride from it at once in one cheesecake.

In the fresh air my appetite worked up in earnest. We decided to have some kebabs for 20,000 VDN/piece. The man was frying them near Yami Land.

And back to the fun. We decided to explore the lazy river. In fact, for children she turned out to be not at all lazy, but quite active. The children swam like in a regular pool, swam through the pressure of the water, and tried to swim against the current. We had fun. We didn’t even notice how we had come full circle.

Then we found swimming pools for small children. Our guys floundered a bit and wanted to return to more extreme entertainment.

We liked the wave pool - interesting fun for children and adults.

Water park video.

Beach in Winperl

Hungry, having ridden the hills to their heart's content, they went looking for food. Not far from the beach we found the Dolphin restaurant, where we ate dumplings for 80,000 VDN / portion.

Well-fed and satisfied, we walked to the beach. Passing beautiful landscapes we stopped for photos).

Whenever I see such cacti in tourist places, they are signed. For what???

Towards evening we reached the beach where Rafting Bay was located. Really cool stuff. Obstacle course on the water. You take the vest and try to pass it. We hung here until closing time. They jumped from one platform to another, fell into the water and laughed hard at their super abilities). This attraction closes at 18.00.

Rafting is a must. Get a lot of emotions. From the outside, this fun seems quite simple, but once you get there you feel all the drive.

I filmed a little rafting on video.

After the beach we headed to the changing cabins. We washed ourselves, changed clothes and went for a walk to the “For the Whole Family” square.

Family carousels and singing fountains

We took a helicopter ride. The faster you pedal, the higher you rise.

Cars are always interesting to boys.

We barely managed to stay on the super-fast musical carousel. Children shorter than 140 cm are not allowed.

And they couldn’t pass by the horses from the past. Although riding them turned out to be a bit boring.

Video of family carousels.

By 7 o'clock we ran to the singing fountain show. A beautiful sight. Do not miss.

A fragment of the singing fountain show on video.

After the fountains, we remembered about the sleigh and went to the “Exciting Games” area. But we didn’t have time to ride. We reached them just in time for closing at 19.45.

We also didn’t have enough time for the slot machine area.

The amusement park, meanwhile, sparkled beautifully with evening lights. It was nice to just walk around the area.

Vietnamese singers performed on the square near the exit.

And there was a large crowd of people at the funicular. An announcement was heard throughout the park that they were ready to transfer everyone by speedboat in seven minutes, but most of the tourists wanted to see the evening views from above.

After standing in line, tired but happy, we rode back in the booths. Along the way, admiring the twinkling lights of the cable car and the island.

We got to the hotel using a meter for 60 thousand VDN. We got out near Gorky Park.

The holiday was a success. We will definitely come back here again in a couple of years. We'll try the sleigh, slot machines, Ferris wheel and repeat the rafting race.

Phu Quoc is one of the Vietnamese islands and a popular resort in the country. Thousands of tourists from all over the world go there during the season to relax among beautiful nature, sunbathe and swim in clear sea water. And in between a carefree beach holiday, you can get acquainted with the many attractions of Fukuoka. For example, visiting a cable car is an interesting and exciting event.

Ropeway (Phu Quoc): how to get there?

If you have chosen the island as the destination for your entire holiday, you will quickly reach the cable car. If you are in another resort in Vietnam, you first need to get to Phu Quoc. You can do this by plane, however, there are direct flights only from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, from other resorts - with transfers. There is another way to get from Ho Chi Minh City:

  • by bus to the port city of Rach Gia,
  • by ferry to the port of Phu Quoc - An Thoi.

The beginning of the Phu Quoc cable car is located in the town of An Thoi. If you are on the other end of the island, you can get to this city by taxi.
If you are vacationing on Phu Quoc Island, but far from An Thoi, the easiest way is to use the services of a travel agency. You buy an excursion, which includes delivery from your hotel to the start of the cable car, a round trip and the road to the hotel. Of course, it will be somewhat more expensive than getting there on your own. But you will travel on a comfortable tourist bus (or minibus) and avoid waiting in line.

What is a cable car?

The cable car in Phu Quoc (Vietnam) is included in the Guinness Book of Records! This attraction has no equal in the world, because the duration of the route is 7.9 km! And this is still a record among cable cars. It was built quite recently; it opened in February 2018. Construction took 2 years, and during this time investors spent about half a million dollars. But this money should quickly pay for itself, because the cable car has aroused great interest among tourists.

Cable car route: Phu Quoc Islands – Hon Dua – Hon Lo – Hon Tom. On Hon Thom Island, visitors are encouraged to get out and relax for a while. True, there is little entertainment here yet:

  • beach (with sun loungers),
  • sea,
  • several cafes,
  • attractions (water slides, jet skiing and others).

They plan to develop the entertainment infrastructure. But even now you can pleasantly spend a few hours on the beach. And if you get hungry, there is a cafe serving Vietnamese and European cuisine.

The Fukuoka cable car boasts more than just its length. This is one of the most modern buildings. A total of 6 towers were built, between which there are several cabins with a capacity of up to 30 people. The cable car passes at an altitude of up to 160 meters, and you can get a bird's eye view of the sea and islands. According to tourists who have been there, it is a breathtaking sight!
The trip will take about 20 minutes and you can spend several hours at your final destination (Hon Thom Island). A ticket costs about $20, and if you buy a tour with delivery from the hotel and back to the hotel, as well as lunch, it will cost 2-3 times more.

What else to do in Fukuoka?

Don't limit yourself to just one cable car if you happen to come to Phu Quoc. Although it itself is a unique structure. You can also visit:

  • Coconut Prison (a rather gloomy but interesting place: prisoners used to be exiled to Phu Quoc),
  • natural parks,
  • a pearl farm (and you can also buy beautiful pearl products),
  • dog kennel (the original Ridgeback breed is raised there),
  • temples.

And if you want to spend your entire vacation in Fukuoka, except for the sights and nature, be sure to take a course of spa treatments. Many hotels here offer them. This course will help you recharge and relax at the same time. You will definitely feel better after your vacation!
The Fukuoka Ropeway is another reason to visit this beautiful island with a pleasant climate!

Cable car in Nha Trang This is not only an interesting way to get to, but is also a highlight of the city in itself. If you are in Nha Trang and see the sea, then most likely you will see the cable car. Thanks to the lighting, the cable car in Nha Trang is especially beautiful in the evenings. The grand opening took place in 2007. By this time, the cable car in Nha Trang was recognized as the longest cable car over the sea in the world. The length is 3,300 meters at an altitude of 70 meters above the water. The cable car to Vinpearl is supported by 9 columns in the shape of the Eiffel Tower. This is such beauty.

How to get to the cable car in Nha Trang

  • The easiest way to get to the cable car is by bike, but if you don’t drive one, there are other options.
  • The most affordable option (besides walking), of course, will be public transport. Bus No. 4 will take you to the Vinpearl cable car; the fare costs 7,000 dong. But there is also a minus: the bus starts operating early in the morning, but the last flight from the cable car back to the city leaves at 18.10 in the evening.
  • After a whole day of entertainment on the island, you are unlikely to have much energy or desire to take a walk of several kilometers, so you can return home by taxi. There is a whole car park nearby, so catching a car will not be difficult.
  • By the way, some taxi drivers are ready to carry to the cable car for less than half the actual cost (20-30 thousand dong) if you don’t have tickets yet! He will stop at the ticket office, which is located on the road to the island, in the same place as the Oceanographic Museum stop. You will buy a ticket for the same price as at the main ticket office at the entrance to Vinpearl (600,000 VND). And the taxi driver gets 5,000 from each ticket sold to his passenger.

On the map of Nha Trang the cable car is marked with a blue funicular:

Do not take food or drinks with you; everything will be taken away at the checkpoint before boarding the cabin. There are plenty of cafes on the island, you won’t go hungry (prices are the same as in the city center). The only thing is that they make exceptions for small children; for example, they will be allowed to take baby food with them. The cabins are designed for 8 people, and they are slightly stuffy, there is no air conditioning. But all this is brightened up by the view and the sensations that you get from the cable car. It is best to arrive early, around 8-9 am. There are more chances to get to a free ticket office rather than crowding in line, and it is much more pleasant to ride in a half-empty booth than a crowded one. The one way journey takes just under 15 minutes.

Cost of the cable car in Nha Trang

A ticket for one adult now costs 590,000 VND. The ticket price includes round-trip cable car travel and all entertainment on Winpearl Island (water park, aquarium, cinema, fountain show, etc.). The cable car in Nha Trang connects the city with Hon Tre Island, on which there is an amusement park and the five-star Vinpearl Hotel of the same name. The transparent cabins of the funicular will give you a wonderful view, a lot of impressions and pleasant memories. The cable car in Nha Trang is not only a wonderful decoration of the evening city, but also an excellent attraction.

The Hon Thom cable car, almost 7.9 kilometers long, connects two Vietnamese resort islands.

Vorarlberg, Austria, cable car manufacturer Doppelmayr launched the world's longest aerial cable car into operation on Sunday and handed over to a Vietnamese customer. The length of the suspended route was 7,899.9 meters, and it connected two popular resort islands - Phu Quoc and Hon Thom, in the south of the country. The press service of the enterprise reports this. The message does not say anything about the financial side of the issue.

The length of the new road exceeds the recorded world record by one and a half kilometers.

By the way, the previous record was also set by a cable car manufactured by Doppelmayr, and also in Vietnam. It is laid to the top of the country's highest mountain, Fansipan.

Travel duration 15 minutes

To build this suspended road over the sea, the builders had to build six supports up to 164 meters high. The trip from Phu Quoc Island to Hon Thom Island lasts about 15 minutes at a speed of 8.5 meters per second, each cabin can accommodate 30 passengers. And this transport system can transport up to 3,500 people in each direction per hour.
