How to get to Rosa Khutor by bus. How to get to Krasnaya Polyana from Adler: ticket prices, train and bus schedules. By train Lastochka from Sochi airport

In the morning, go skiing or snowboarding on gorgeous snow-covered slopes, and in the evening, sit in shorts and a T-shirt, watching the sunset with a glass of wine. Fantastic? No! This is the Rosa Khutor ski resort in Krasnaya Polyana near the Olympic Sochi.

Spring skiing at Rosa Khutor - all the pros and cons

If you decide to visit the Krasnaya Polyana ski resort in April, then you have made the right choice.

Firstly, all the main traffic of skaters ends with the end of the school holidays. This means that prices for all services are sharply reduced.

Now you will have access to a luxury hotel within walking distance from the ski lift at a reasonable price. You can also generally live in the Olympic village at a higher level, i.e. in Rosa Plateau.

There will be no queues at the lifts, which means that you can also ride along the highway calmly and without pressure.

Price for the lift, i.e. ski pass is also significantly reduced

Equipment rental, if you didn’t take it with you, is cheaper in the spring

On to the cons I can attribute the fact that it is extremely hot in a ski suit, especially when you walk with equipment to the hotel under the scorching sun. Yes, it’s even hot to skate, so you’re not surprised when you see girls in swimsuits

It is better to come to the slope in the morning before lunch. Then the snow is hard and smooth, after lunch it turns into “porridge”, you can ride, but it’s not so pleasant.

In the spring, evening skiing stops; the last climb to Rosa Peak is at 15.45

Many slopes are gradually closed and by May you can only ski at altitude, and get to Rosa Plateau by gondola lift.

How to get to Sochi

From St. Petersburg you can get to Sochi (Adler) either by plane or by train.

We flew a direct Aeroflot flight from Pulkovo, although from Moscow you can buy a ticket cheaper, but not much. If you choose a flight via Moscow, consider the following:

  • You are wasting time;
  • you also need to get to Moscow, spending not only precious time, but also money (on travel, food, overnight accommodation, etc.);
  • getting to Moscow by train, in order to save money, is not advisable if you are taking all the equipment with you;
  • Cheap low-cost airlines flying from Moscow to Sochi, such as UTair, S7, Wings, Pobeda, do not include luggage in the ticket price. Baggage will have to be paid separately;

Weigh the pros and cons before buying a ticket; it is better to monitor prices in advance on the airsale website

How to get to Krasnaya Polyana Rosa Khutor

You have a choice of 4 methods:

  • by bus;
  • by taxi;
  • by train Swallow;
  • by rental car

By bus to Krasnaya Polyana 2017

This is the most budget-friendly and excellent option. Buses run regularly and quite often. In terms of time it takes 1-1.5 hours from the airport. From the city of Sochi it will take approximately 2 hours. Buses are the most common regular ones.

Bus price to Krasnaya Polyana:

Sochi - Krasnaya Polyana: 225 rubles

Airport - Krasnaya Polyana: 150 rubles

Adler - Krasnaya Polyana: 175 rubles

Krasnaya Polyana - Gorki City/Gazprom/Rosa Khutor: 39 rub.

There is no need to pay extra for suitcases

“Rosa Khutor” is the final stop, you definitely won’t get lost. Keep in mind that at the resort the bus winds, calling first at the railway station and then at the Gazprom Group. Bus and taxi parking is right behind McDonald's, 100 meters from the main Olympia lift.

Bus numbers to Krasnaya Polyana- 105, 105c, 135

Bus No. 105 departs from Sochi from the More Mall shopping center, calls at the railway stations in Sochi and Adler and goes to Rosa Khutor. Drives to the airport (stops immediately at the exit from the airport)
Bus No. 105с (fast) the same as 105, the difference is that 105c does not go to Khosta and Kudepsta, which saves up to half an hour of time.

Bus No. 135 departs from the Novy Vek shopping center in Adler, calls at the Adler railway station, but the stop is on the sea side and at the airport.

Bus schedule to Rosa Khutor from the airport

By taxi or transfer to Krasnaya Polyana 2017

Taxi drivers at Sochi airport are no different from taxi drivers in other cities. They lie and try in every possible way to get you into their “comfortable” cars. They’re lying, because I personally had a situation where a taxi driver was stubbornly trying to get passengers, and when asked about the cost of bus travel, they told me some exorbitant price, around 400 rubles. per person. Although the bus costs only 150 rubles. for 1 passenger.

But if you are eating in a crowd, then taking a taxi is much more convenient. Firstly, you will save time, as taxi drivers drive along the new road, which is faster. And secondly, you will be brought directly to the hotel, and you will not have to carry all the equipment on yourself.

A taxi from the airport to Krasnaya Polyana costs 1,500 rubles. for the car. If you are traveling with 4 people, then it turns out to be 400 rubles. from everyone, you will agree that this is a small overpayment for such comfort. You can also bargain and save money altogether.

By train Lastochka to Krasnaya Polyana

The high-speed electric train is an excellent transport option from Sochi or Adler to Krasnaya Polyana. But, unfortunately, only 2 trains run from Sochi airport to Krasnaya Polyana per day.

By rental car

How and where to rent a car? What you need to consider when renting a car in Sochi. The rental company we used.

I immediately liked the idea of renting a car and driving to the Rosa Khutor resort, but I need to consider the following points:

  • if your main goal is skiing, then the car will simply sit idle;
  • Parking at the Rosa Khutor resort is tight. Multi-level parking lots have been spotted, but their prices are exorbitant. Hotel parking is also rare;
  • renting a car to Rosa Khutor (as well as receiving it) costs extra money, namely around 1,500 rubles.

The most successful option for us was to get to the resort on our own (by bus), and on the way back take a car and see the Olympic Sochi. I ordered a car from St. Petersburg with delivery to Rosa Khutor, but having learned in practice how easy and simple it is to get to the resort by public transport, I decided to save both money and nerves (since I couldn’t find the nearest convenient parking). We again took bus 105 to the airport and our WV Polo was driven straight to the stop.

In general, in Europe I use the Economybookings website, but it was in Sochi that I decided to book directly, although I chose the office from this website.

I liked the Beta rent rental office because of its reasonable prices and the fact that the car can be returned at any time without additional payment, since our departure was at night, this was important to me. A deposit of 5,000 rubles is required. for economy class. The contract is standard. It is better to check the car properly: all chips and scratches are recorded in the contract.

When handing over, I didn’t like the car wash part. The contract stipulates that the car must be clean, we had bad weather and it was raining, how they imagine an absolutely clean car in such weather remains a mystery to me. In general, they kept 250 rubles from us, making a discount due to the weather. So their price is 500 rubles. for the car wash. Keep this in mind.

Where to sleep?

I believe that you should choose a hotel as close to the ski lift as possible. In terms of price, location and quality, Tulip Inn Rosa Khutor is one of the best. It has 2 buildings, one of which is a 4 star hotel (Golden Tulip Inn), and the second is a 3 star hotel (simply Tulip Inn). We lived in the one with 3 stars, and our friends lived in the one with 4 stars. Honestly, the only difference was the presence and absence of robes and slippers and a different foyer at the entrance. We were also very lucky: the standard room we bought accidentally turned into a superior room, which couldn’t help but make us happy.

The large double bed was separated by a small wall with a TV from the desk and sofa:

Spacious wardrobe with many drawers and mirrored doors:

Large and comfortable bathroom:

Window view of the Mzymta River embankment from our room:

In the courtyard of our hotel there was a children's playground, one of the few in the entire Rosa Khutor resort. This is another plus of Tulip Inn:

Where to eat?

This is probably a sore subject throughout the holiday. The money saved on absolutely everything: air tickets, accommodation, transfers - everything is spent on food. It is expensive, judge for yourself: soup, for example, kharcho will cost you around 500 rubles. Even in the center of St. Petersburg you can find a business lunch for 250 rubles, but here one soup costs 500 rubles!

Of course, in Rosa Khutor there is a grocery store “Perekrestok”, but it is so small and the prices there, I tell you, are also overpriced! Moreover, we noticed that prices for beer literally change depending on the time of day, so if you see a promotion, take more! You can and should take a bus to Gorki Gorod for 20 rubles and visit the Perekrestok store in the Gorki Gorod Mall shopping center. Here are the human prices for everything.

When we rented a car, we went to a cafe-dining room near the airport called “Sit and Eat”:

We really sat down and ate such a great meal, and it felt like we were fed for free. Menu and prices of the cafe Sat and ate:

Very tasty prepared food and quite nice inside the cafe itself:

The bill for two full meals, including trout, three salads and boiled turkey for the baby:

What to do in Rosa Khutor in your free time?

The Rosa Khutor ski resort has prepared a lot of interesting things for vacationers.

After taking a little rest from skiing, you can set off with the whole family to conquer the path of health.

Or look into the cultural and ethnographic museum “My Russia”

Not far from the resort, just a few kilometers on foot along an amazingly beautiful equipped embankment, there is the Galaktika shopping and entertainment complex. Everything inside the complex is as cosmic as the name. In the center of the hall hangs a huge ball, which constantly changes its glow

At the social and cultural center "Galaktika" you can play bowling or billiards, go to the water park, where in addition to slides and pools there is a Turkish hammam and a Finnish sauna, enjoy a movie in one of 3 cinema halls or go to the ice arena.

Also, in your free time from skiing, you can go shopping in the neighboring village of Gorki-Gorod, where the large shopping complex Gorki-Gorod Mall is located. By the way, it also has a water park “Mountain Beach” (beach in the mountains) with a transparent roof and views of the mountains.

The route is popular with both tourists and Russian residents, and is served by different types of public transport. Buses and tourist shuttles are a good option for those traveling alone or as a couple, for young people who know their way around the country and know the language, and for those who need to reduce their vacation budget.

Advantages of buses and shuttles over other types of public transport

Typically the cheapest option. Travel by bus is either comparable to other group modes of transport (for example, the train), or is 5–15% cheaper than any alternative.

Drive to a stop where you can easily get to the desired location. And in the case of a tourist shuttle, perhaps even to the hotel. Regular buses from major transport hubs leave for the most popular destinations and pass through the central areas of surrounding cities and resort areas. For example, from the stop where a bus from the airport takes a tourist, it will be possible to get to any desired place with a maximum of one more transfer. Kiwitaxi tourist shuttles in a number of destinations transport tourists to vacation spots, rather than dropping them off in the city center.

Mini-excursion while on the road. The bus does not travel quickly and has stops. Some tourist buses and shuttles have attendants who brighten up the trip by telling you about the sights.

Disadvantages of buses compared to other types of public transport

Crowded during peak hours. Since buses are the most affordable option, they are used by most tourists who are not willing to spend money on a taxi. You may have to travel with your luggage on your lap or even standing. Group shuttles fill up evenly and running out of seats is almost impossible, however luggage space may be a problem.

There may be no tickets. For the same reason - buses are popular in Russia, so you need to buy tickets for them in advance, not expecting to find them on the spot.

Every journey begins on the road. Roads that lead to Krasnaya Polyana. Before the Olympics, the route was known only to avid fans of alpine skiing. In exceptional cases, it was possible to fly there from Adler in 15 minutes by helicopter, but the main connection with the village was a narrow mountain road, where transport was exposed to the danger of rockfall.

The scale of changes that the resort village underwent before it became the center of the ski cluster is clearly visible from the network of roads that provide communication with it:

  • expressway 48 km long, with four dozen bridges and overpasses and 14 tunnels in the mountains
  • railway line of the same length (37 railway bridges and overpasses, 19 km of tunnel passages) for high-speed communication with the station
  • helipad for emergencies (mainly used for sightseeing flights).

For your information! For nine years the old road to Krasnaya Polyana has been standing and being destroyed without use. The idea of reconstructing it to turn it into an excursion site has not yet found its investors. But cyclists actively include traveling along it in their most interesting routes in the Black Sea region.

By plane

A good way to buy cheap air tickets is on the largest search engine in Russia, aviasales.ru.

In any case, the trip to Krasnaya Polyana will begin from the airport or train station in Adler. The target distance is 40 km, but you can drive it in different ways:

  • by city taxi
  • by regular transport (bus or minibus)
  • by high-speed train
  • hotel transfer for 15-20 people
  • in your own or rented car

A taxi is the first thing that greets a visitor when leaving the airport.

Hurried passengers will be offered a ride for 3,000 rubles, although ordering a city taxi at a fixed rate, issued at the airport's baggage claim department, does not exceed 1,200 -1,500 rubles: the price depends on the class of the car and the qualifications of the driver.

A hotel transfer will cost much less, since the fare is shared among all passengers. But the most popular way to get to the ski resort is by rail.

On "Swallow"

For your information! In the old building of the railway station, the Museum of the History of Railways now functions, containing on display rarities from the Tsarist and Soviet times of the North Caucasus Railway.
You can buy tickets for the electric train at the station ticket office, at intermediate stations or the Russian Railways online service.

It is worth keeping in mind that Seats near the windows will be marked with odd numbers, and you must arrive for boarding in advance, so as not to end up at different ends of the car if you are traveling in a large group.

Tariff zones from Adler to Krasnaya Polyana have higher prices, so the cost of travel from the Sochi railway station to the Olympic Park is less than on the Adler - Rosa Khutor section.

Children's tickets (over 5 years old) - half price; for preschoolers and federal beneficiaries - free; luggage and bicycles - 50 rubles.

Important! Traveling to a ski resort by high-speed electric trains is a guarantee against delays on the way due to traffic jams. From Esto-Sadok station to all ski lifts there are free ski buses linked to the train schedule.

By public transport

Along Krasnopolyanskoye Highway (A-149), tourists are rushing in a stream of cars to the mountain resort. buses (46 seats with luggage racks) and minibuses (20 seats). This public transport is quite modern and convenient, but not free from situational congestion and traffic jams.

Therefore, his work schedule is not always maintained and the move can take from 1.5 to 2 hours. In addition, not all buses go directly from Sochi to Rosa Khutor; you have to change trains at Adler Airport:

  • Sochi-Adler - route No. 125,
  • Adler - Rosa Khutor - route No. 135
  • Sochi - Rosa Khutor - route No. 105 (bus and minibus), 105c (express) and No. 186 (to the Gazprom complex)

Note! The comfortable tourist Skybus flights (every hour starting at 9.00 am; + 2 night flights) have been suspended for some time.

Public transport starts at 6.00, the last flight is at 21.16. Route No. 105 starts near the More Mall shopping center and ends at the Rosa Khutor railway station. You can find out its schedule on the Yandex Schedule service or in the online widget.

The cost of travel for an adult passenger on bus No. 105 is 165-190 rubles, it depends on whether the transport belongs to a municipal or private enterprise.

Payment for travel is made directly to the driver. Carrier discounts (seasonally adjusted) apply to:

  • for tickets for children (under 2 years old - free)
  • family trip
  • federal beneficiaries

Tourists are transported inside the resort by route No. 63 (fare 19-39 rubles). Traveling by taxi will cost 200-300 rubles, and if you agree on service on an ongoing basis - even less.

For your information! It is likely that when landing at Adler Airport on route No. 105, which arrives there already loaded, you will have to be content with a standing place.

Taxi and transfers

It is convenient to order taxis and transfers on Kiwitaxi.ru - this is an online system for searching for taxis and booking individual transfers. Pros:

  • fixed cost
  • meeting with nameplate
  • 24/7 support

By personal car

First, you will have to travel 1,700 km from Moscow along the M4 highway, and if from St. Petersburg, then 679 km more. Seven sections of toll roads. In the Dzhugba area, double serpentines and traffic jams await you; it’s good if, on the eve of the high season in Krasnaya Polyana, you managed to change your tires to winter ones.

On the Krasnopolyanskoye Highway you must drive non-stop with great care, which is tiring for beginners. Congestion on the roads of Sochi is a common phenomenon, plus frequent traffic police inspections, expenses for parking, and walking from parking lots to ski lifts.

True, there are undeniable advantages:

  • savings on air tickets
  • opportunity to admire the beauty of the landscape
  • unlimited luggage
  • free movement mode
  • mobility in a resort environment

Reference! for those who feel “without a car, like without hands”: In Adler there is a service - car rental without a driver. There you can rent a car of any class for 1000-2500 rubles. per day. True, the limitation is the lack of a driver's license or driving experience, and in some cases, the age of the renter (at least 27 years old).
