Rafting, climbing and other ideas on how to spend the summer. Tourist rally of the company "Splav" and presentation of the book "Among the Elements" by Alexander Berman May hike in the Krasnodar Territory

An annual grand event organized by the Uralvagonzavod Trade Union organization, chaired by Lutokhin E.V., and also with the support Sverdlovsk regional committee of the trade union of defense industry workers. Presence of the Chairman of OBORONPROF V.V. Krasnorutskov made this event even more significant. 53 teams from all over took part in the rally Sverdlovsk region, including two teams from the trade union organization “VTMZ”.

The ceremonial part is the opening of the rally, greeting all teams, raising the flag and... Start! At the start, the team captain is given a “valuable cargo” (this time it was a balloon with water), with which he must go through all the stages, without letting go of it, and bring it to the finish line intact. The captains of our teams were Sergey Sokolov and Maxim Golikov, who were very responsible for the safety of the cargo throughout the entire 2.5 km long route.

The first stage is setting up the tent. Both our first team and the second team received the tent in a deplorable condition. Therefore, a lot of extra time was spent on collecting it.

The second stage: crossing along a long and thin log that spans from bank to bank. Having seen enough of the members of other teams falling from it, it was somehow scary. I didn't want to swim yet. But our pioneers Timur Khismatullin and Maxim Novoseltsev, showing miracles of balance, overcame this obstacle in a matter of seconds, stretching behind them a safety rope for the girls Olga Ankudinova and Olga Kostareva.

Next was an incomprehensible structure called “Rhombus”. Two triangles, fastened together by cables and suspended between trees. It is necessary to move the cables from one side to the other in any way, while holding on and not falling. And here we have Timur again and his excellent tenacity of arms and legs. He was turned over on the structure, but Timur, turning back, still reached the opposite side. The following participants Nastya Bessonova, Maxim Novoseltsev and Aigul Rizvanova chose a different method that ensured balance without “turnovers”.

The next stage is “Providing first aid, carrying the victim”: the judge himself selects the victim from among the team members. The “VTMZ-1” team was lucky, the judge chose Rushana Zaripova. “The victim has a fractured ankle and is unconscious.” They provided first aid and the guys transported her to the next stage in their arms. But for the VTMZ-2 team, the judge chose Maxim Golikov as the victim (and again, “ankle fracture”). The girls immediately began to take an interest in Maxim’s weight and estimate their strength. Will we deliver it? But the judge said the victim was conscious and able to walk on his own with support. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Stage: “Boiling water.” The first team passed this stage with difficulty. The fire did not want to burn (the wood was damp after the overnight rain) and it took about 15 minutes to boil 250 ml of water in the pot. For the second team, everything went like clockwork (probably the wood had dried out) and the fire was lit, and the water in the pot quickly boiled. At this stage, VTMZ-2 even overtook one team.

The sixth stage was “Lianas”. All team members had to walk along a tight rope, holding onto hanging ropes, facing forward from one end to the other. The captains had the most difficult time; they had “valuable cargo” in one hand, and they could only hold on to the “vines” with one hand, quickly grabbing the next “vine.”

Next is the “Butterfly” stage: ropes stretched crosswise, and along them you need to move from one edge to the other. The turning point is the middle, here you almost had to do the splits, like Anya Fedorov, to get through it. His arms and legs are shaking and he’s about to tumble. But we completed this task too! It seemed that this stage was the most difficult, but it was not so, the most difficult thing awaited us ahead at the tenth stage.

The eighth stage "Mountain" is a long steep descent on a rope, to the ninth stage, and then an uphill climb on another rope.

Ninth stage “Water”. It was necessary to sail on a catamaran (double kayaks on a metal frame). Competition on the water. Dangerous. Therefore, all participants were given life jackets and... forward to the opposite shore for the control load. The most important thing is to work with the oars at the same time and then the movement towards the goal will be faster. But we learned this only on the way back. Sprayed with water from the oars, Nastya Valieva (on the catamaran in the second row), with wet feetcontinued the race with the whole team. The same applies to VTMZ-2. Both Maxims were sprayed. But we run on.

And the last tenth stage of “Trolls” is ahead. A tight rope across the lake. At this stage, you need to put on your equipment, fasten the carabiner of the safety rope, throw your legs over the tensioned cable, then pull yourself up and hook the cargo carabiner. Move along the cable to the opposite bank, with your back down, using your arms and legs. But the strength is gone, all the strength remains on the oars. But all members of both teams passed this stage.

Elena Lyashenko: It was very difficult for the girls at this stage, since the guys still had more strength. It's good if there is a participant who will help you. I was the last one on our team, so I had to do everything myself. How much effort it took me not to tell you.

Finish race on a slippery road and that's it. The route has been completed. The valuable cargo was delivered safe and sound.

Simultaneously with the team completing the stages, one participant from the team took part in the orienteering race. A map was issued with ten marks on the ground. Within a certain time (1 hour) they had to be found and marked on the issued map. Irina Gracheva participated from VTMZ-1; for her, this race was about speed and attentiveness. The result is almost all the control points found. From “VTMZ-2” - Nastya Petukhova, conscientiously searched for all ten marks for almost 1.5 hours, for which she was awarded the certificate “For the will to win!” for rafting on the river Chusovaya for 3 days, for two.

This is our first participation in such an event, and we did not know what awaits us there. But we went through all the stages and didn’t give up on a single one. We did it well! Although there were only two boys in our teams, the rest were girls, out of 53 teams we took 11th and 13th place! Well done!

Nastya Bessonova: “I’m a young mother, so everything free time I spend it with my daughter. I haven't gone anywhere for a long time. The grandmother agreed to babysit her granddaughter, so I went to the tour meeting. With the support of the team, I coped with all stages.

Anya Fedorovykh: “I’ve been wanting to go somewhere outdoors for a long time. And here is such a case. I immediately agreed to go and did not regret it. A sea of positive emotions and adrenaline. Only at home the children and husband were upset that they couldn’t all go together.”

Nastya Valieva: “I’m generally for leisure. What's the point of sitting at home when you have the opportunity to participate and get to know people better? I am very pleased with my participation in the team and the opportunity to test my strength.

Together we set up a tent and tent, set the tables, cut salads, cooked soup, baked potatoes and fried kebabs. We drank hot tea from the samovar. The weather did not let us down either, only slightly wetting the members of the VTMZ-2 team during the water stage. Friendly atmosphere, participation, communication and a lot of positive impressions. In a word, our day off was a success!

I would like to express my gratitude to Gen. Director of JSC "VTMZ" Nikitin V.A. for the provision of vehicles for the participants’ trip to the tourist rally, to the driver V.A. Plotnikov, as well as to our teams who took an active part in this event and to my husband V.E. Lyashenko. who supported me, agreed to this trip and took an active part in it.

Next weekend there will be a tourist rally organized by the Splav company, and within its framework (in addition to a busy sports and, in some places, non-sports program) there will be a presentation of Alexander Berman’s book “Among the Elements” (with the opportunity to purchase the book).

From the annotation to "Among the Elements":

The books of the master of sports of the USSR, honored traveler of Russia Alexander Berman have long become tourist classics. Each of them is new and interesting. This is the first description in Russian literature of the technology for constructing igloos based on the physical and mechanical properties of snow, and the application of the theory of heat and mass transfer in the design of sleeping bags and clothing for winter hikes, and the introduction of the concept of “cold” fatigue, which has taken root in world literature (Travel on skis. M. , 1968). This is an attempt to show that voluntary risk is not a whim, but a vital necessity (Faces of Risk. M., 1973), this is also a conversation about the physics of a fire, mountains and atmosphere against the backdrop of children’s hiking adventures (Young Tourist. M., 1977).

The reader is offered a reissue of A. Berman’s book “Among the Elements” (M., 1983), which, like his other books, turned out to be “long-lasting”: it captivated more than one generation with sports travel.

This edition (the author is true to himself!) has been supplemented with something new: stories about jumping through bureaucratic canons - also a force of nature - and about tightrope walking. The author, a tightrope walker himself, uses examples of learning to balance to outline a new direction in human research - the psychomechanics of balance - a “bridge” between the living and inanimate worlds. The author talks about the perception of events in the personally felt time of the tightrope walker and how these events are perceived from the outside.

At the end of the book, the author shares his ideas about the “convex form of life” - he offers his solution to Selye’s problem - one of the central problems of psychophysiology, and connects it with the accelerations and decelerations of the sense of time that are well known to each of us.

The book will be of interest to travelers, psychologists, teachers and all cheerful people.

The book also contains stories about extreme ski trips, rafting, tragic situations from the point of view of their direct participants, stories about Krasnoyarsk columnists, about the “escape” from the USSR on a yacht ( real story from the life of Alexander Berman, which inspired Vladimir Kunin to write the book “Ivanov and Rabinovich or Ai gou tou Haifa”), stories by Joseph Kahiani and much more. Read in one go!
