New Year in Belarus - a selection of hotels with a program. Sanatoriums for the New Year Belarus celebrates the New Year

Everyone knows the proverb: “Get your sleigh ready in the summer.” I will also accept “How you celebrate the New Year is how you will spend it.” Don't think that we are superstitious. We simply believe that this holiday should be fun and interesting, so that you can remember it all year round. And the tour operator "Automated Tourism Technologies" is ready to offer you 10 interesting options: these are one-day excursions, and full-fledged New Year's tours, and a vacation in a sanatorium!

In one day you can see:

1. Winter Belovezhskaya Pushcha and the Estate of Father Frost

Perhaps one of the most New Year's excursions.

But first you will see the Kamenets Tower, which is also called the “White Tower”. Although she is far from white. They simply painted it an unnatural white color, but then returned it to its natural color.

This is the best preserved and at the same time the highest tower of the Volyn type that has survived in our time. It was built back in the 13th century. There are several more similar towers, however, they are almost completely destroyed or are significantly smaller than the Kamenets Tower. The height is over thirty meters! Yes, it's not much. But enough to be impressed!

In Belovezhskaya Pushcha, you and your children can visit the Museum of Nature and go up to the enclosures to see bison, horses, bears, moose, wild boars and others.

The Museum of Nature is a place where you can go back several hundred years and find out what was in this place then and what animals ran through those dense forests.

But the most important wizard for the New Year is still Santa Claus. Therefore, after lunch you will be introduced to a Belarusian wizard who will show you his domain.

Houses decorated with openwork carvings, lovingly made sculptures of fairy-tale characters, an elegant New Year tree, garlands of multi-colored light bulbs sparkling with thousands of lights create an atmosphere of an enduring holiday, a feeling of magic.

The house of Father Frost looks especially elegant with wooden columns, decorated with intricate carvings and frosty paintings on the windows, entwined with garlands of miniature light bulbs.

Many objects of the Estate - the Snow Maiden's Tower, the Magic Mill, which turns bad deeds into dust and sand, the glade of the Twelve Months, the living New Year Tree, the alley of signs of the Eastern Calendar and others - have their own legends, stories and beliefs. In the Estate you can make your deepest wishes and ask Santa Claus to help fulfill them. The good wizard's assistants will definitely give a gift to his guests.

Excursion dates: 12/30/2018, 01/2/2019, 01/3/2019, 01/5/2019, 01/6/2019.

Cost: 80 rubles for adults and 67 for children. Additional entrance fees apply.

2. New Year's Mir and Nesvizh

If you have already been to the main castles of Belarus, then it is better to come for the second time for the New Year. You will be able to see the Mir Castle itself, the chapel-tomb of Svyatopolk-Mirsky, the Nesvizh Town Hall, the craftsman's house, the Nesvizh Monastery, the Slutsk Gate, the Farny Church, the Nesvizh Courtyard. And if you’ve never been, then even better! This means you can hear the most famous Belarusian legends:

1. About the damned lake.

Instead of an artificial pond there was once a garden. But because of beliefs, local residents refused to cut it down on the orders of the prince. Every day something bad happened while they were digging the lake. The witch's son also died. She cursed the new lake.

2. About the White Maiden.

The most famous victim of the cursed lake is 12-year-old Sonechka Svyatopolk-Mirskaya. The ghost of the girl, according to legend, still walks the corridors of the castle. He is calm and doesn’t bother anyone, he tries not to catch people’s attention.

3. Underground passage between Mir Castle and Nesvizh Palace.

How could there be no secret dungeons? Our castles, which are located only 30 kilometers from each other, were not without such a legend.

4. About the Black Panna - Barbara Radziwill.

By order of the mother of the king of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth Augustus, who passionately loved Barbara and married her in defiance of everyone, the girl was poisoned. She suffered for a long time before her death, but the king could not save her.

He often came to the castle to see the relatives of his beloved wife and once decided to summon her spirit. He was warned not to touch Barbara. But the king disobeyed - he hugged his beloved. That's why she couldn't leave. He still wanders around his home - the Nesvizh Palace.

5. About oak and pine intertwined.

According to legend, it was these trees that Radziwill’s daughter and a simple shepherd turned into. Naturally, everyone was against their love. The young man and girl had to run away, but they were quickly caught up and brutally dealt with. But even after death they remained with each other.

Of course, there are many more legends! But you will hear all of them from the guides!

Excursion dates: December 29, December 30, December 31, 2018, January 2, 3, January 5, January 6, January 7, 2019.

Cost: 80 rubles for adults and 67.5 for children. Additional entrance fees apply. On weekends, the entrance ticket to the Mir Castle is 14 rubles for adults and 7 rubles for children; at the Nesvizh Palace, 16 rubles for an adult and 8 rubles for a child.

3. Evening Minsk

Ordinary and familiar Minsk is transformed in the evening! A tour of evening Minsk will help you feel this magic and get to know our capital again.

You can look at:

1. Station square.

The station square is the face of the city, the place of meetings and farewells. Today, when leaving one of the best train stations in Europe, a magnificent “city gate” and a spacious square open before you.

2. Independence Square.

There is: the most beautiful church in Minsk and the oldest university, government buildings. The modern landscape is complemented by green lawns and fountains, cozy benches and glass domes of the three-story underground city - the Stolitsa shopping center.

3. Independence Avenue.

The avenue of the same name originates from Independence Square, although it previously changed its name 14 times. This is the central and largest thoroughfare of Minsk, a large-scale work of art and a keeper of memory. This street also claims to be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

4. Freedom Square.

The historical center of the city with the symbol of city government - the town hall. The graceful streets with quaint lines of houses, medieval churches and monasteries surrounding it - all this gives Freedom Square a special unique flavor. Often this is where street concerts with live music are held.

5. Minsk Castle.

A small hill on the Svisloch embankment, as well as a life-size model of the foundation of the first city church - that’s probably all that today reminds us of the medieval fortress. According to one version, ancient Mensk was founded here, which was rebuilt at the confluence of two rivers and surrounded by an earthen rampart.

6. Trinity Suburb.

At the beginning of the 16th century, on a hill that towered above Svisloch, the Trinity Monastery with a church was erected. A residential area was formed around them, which was named Trinity. Time has preserved for us the Trinity Suburb with its colorful houses and quiet picturesque streets. Today it is an architectural and cultural monument of international importance.

7. Island of courage and sorrow.

8. Minsk Arena.

Since 2010, it has become the site of many world-famous sporting competitions and the largest concert venue. A very beautiful building in high-tech style.

9. National Library.

It became not only a repository of all kinds of books, but also a monument of modern architecture. Guests from different cities and countries of the world come to see it. And it is crowned with an open observation deck, where from a height of 73 meters you can look at Minsk - excellent views will open up to you both during the day and in the evening. If you wish, you can visit it at the end of the tour. Entrance is only 3 rubles.

Cost: 25 rubles for adults and 21 for children. Only the entrance ticket to the observation deck is paid additionally.

4. Grodno - the city of kings and princes

One of the most interesting cities in Belarus with, albeit small, but a real historical city center.

You will be able to see:

1. Mayor of Tyzengauz.

The grandiose complex of 85 buildings absorbed completely new design and construction methods - for the first time in the history of urban planning in Belarus. Of course, not all buildings have survived from the 18th century, but there is something to see.

2. Church of Francis Xavier.

According to most art connoisseurs, it won the title of the “richest” and most beautiful church in the entire territory of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Indeed, its decoration and appearance are impressive. Many refined details, sculptures, gilding - the embodiment of the ideas of Stefan Batory by an unfortunately unknown architect. The Grodno Church of Francis Xavier is one of three churches in Belarus that bear the honorary title “minor basilica”.

3. Grodno Church of the Finding of the Holy Cross and the Bernardine Monastery.

This is a unique religious ensemble and the oldest Catholic shrine in Grodno. The baroque silhouette of the church and the high tower with a spire solemnly rises on the banks of the Neman and is visible from all points of the historical center. Just like today, in the old days it attracted attention with its noble and graceful appearance - here, for example, Eliza Ozheshko was married, and in 1990 the Higher Roman Catholic Seminary was located.

4. Choral Synagogue.

A building literally saved by modern architects and restorers.

The most beautiful synagogue in Europe, the largest in Belarus and the oldest in the post-Soviet space. Its long history begins in the 16th century.

5. Old and New castles.

The Old and New castles in Grodno are located very close. This is very rare, even considering that on the territory of Belarus, in the Middle Ages, castles could be found every 40 km. Moreover, both castles are royal. A powerful defensive system, high steep ramparts, the waters of the Neman and Gorodnichanka - residences under reliable protection. The unusual appearance raises a lot of questions - there is only one answer: here are examples of Belarusian defensive architecture.

One of the 2 castles in Grodno (namely New) - the summer residence of the Grand Duke of Lithuania and King Augustus III of Poland received the fame of a cursed place. And, nevertheless, it was here that the general diets of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth were held, here an agreement on its division was signed in 1793, and here, in 1795, August Poniatowski signed the act of abdication.

6. Kolozha (Boris and Gleb) Church.

In the 12th century, on the high slope of the Neman, one of the first churches in Eastern Europe was erected. For its unique appearance and unique technology, it received the title of a historical and architectural reserve.

Why do most people call it Kolozhskaya? After all, the church in honor of Saints Boris and Gleb is illuminated.

Why are there numerous jugs built into the walls?

What is the secret of the centuries-old temple and is its fate so simple?

After the tour you will be able to answer these questions with confidence.

And the view of the Neman and the other bank from the temple grounds is incredible.

Date of excursion: 01/3/2019.

Cost: 59 rubles for adults and 57 for children. Only food is paid additionally.

5. Slonim - Zhirovichi - Synkovichi

One of the most important religious centers in Belarus.

In Slonim:

1. Church of St. Andrew the Apostle.

In the mid-18th century, a little distance from the historical center, a beautiful church was erected - its appearance amazes guests with the richness of its decoration and plasticity of forms. The angled towers, numerous niches and graceful lines give the temple a special charm. Having gone through destruction, use as pickle warehouses and restoration, it still gracefully greets residents and guests of Slonim.

2. Benedictine monastery.

The Benedictines are the oldest Catholic monastic order, founded in the 6th century. In Slonim, the Benedictine monastery was founded by the wife of the Smolensk captain. The nuns came from the liquidated Smolensk monastery and were called Smolensk exiles. You will find out how their fate turned out in Slonim during the excursion.

3. Choral synagogue.

The main synagogue in Slonim, despite the fact that it is now empty, has retained its original appearance. Security motives also left their mark on the architecture of the building: massive walls, completely devoid of decor and highly raised loophole windows hide the richly ornamented interior.

In Synkovichi:

Church of St. Michael.

The oldest defense-type temple on the territory of Belarus. Numerous loopholes, machicolations protruding beyond the perimeter of the temple tower - they cannot help but attract attention. Such a temple became for parishioners not only a place of spiritual salvation, but also a place of refuge from enemy troops.

And in Zhirovichi:

Holy Dormition Monastery.

In the middle of the 15th century, shepherdesses noticed a bright glow among the thick branches of a wild pear tree - they found a small image of the Mother of God here and brought it to their owner. Now the life-giving image of the small icon is one of the hundred most revered shrines of the Orthodox world. For 500 years, the Zhirovichi Holy Dormition Monastery has been a stronghold of Orthodoxy in the Belarusian lands. A tour of the main center of Belarusian Orthodoxy and the country's largest architectural ensemble of the 17th-18th centuries and a dip in the font traditionally accompany a trip to Zhirovichi.

Date of excursion: 01/7/2019 (Orthodox Christmas).

Cost: 55 rubles for adults and 54 for children. Only meals and donations at the monastery are paid additionally.

6. Dudutki

Do you want to see what crafts and technologies our distant ancestors were engaged in? A fascinating journey into the world of ancient life and professions, tasting original dishes, a zoo and horseback riding awaits you.

What to see:

1. An ancient and only operating wind ladder in Belarus.

Cost: 46 rubles for adults and 39 for children. Only the purchase of souvenirs is paid additionally.

7. Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve

Many people associate this place with school, because they like to take children there on excursions. You can organize a new generation of students, or you can go yourself and meet nature (even representatives of the Red Book!). Much of what can be seen exclusively in the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve cannot be found anywhere else in Europe!

What can you do there:

1. Breathe the cleanest air in Belarus. Local air is recognized as the standard of cleanliness in Belarus. It is by its composition that experts estimate the degree of air pollution in other regions.

2. The Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve is a corner of pristine nature, almost untouched by man. Much of the local forests and swamps today look the same as they looked thousands of years ago. Much has been preserved only here.

3. You will be able to understand that swamps are beautiful. And, most importantly, it is safe for you.

4. Meet the Bolotnik. He lies in wait for tourists on overgrown paths along the swamp. Having caught it, it asks riddles and plays games.

Excursion dates: December 29, 2018 and December 31, 2018.

Cost: 80 rubles for adults and 77 for children. Meals and entrance tickets are additionally paid.

There are also tours for several days:

8. Tour "All Belarus" (5 days)

In 5 days you can see the main attractions and centers of Belarus:

We have already described what to look at in it above. You will get around almost all of this in the first half of the day, and after 2 pm you have free time. Attend a hockey match, a concert or a party, go up to the roof of the National Library.

2. Second day - the main castles of Belarus - Mir and Nesvizh. And it will be unnecessary to describe them. It’s better to see them once than to read about them 100 times.

3. Khatyn and Mound of Glory.

Khatyn - you will not find this Belarusian village even on the most detailed map. In 1943, it was destroyed by fire from the face of the earth, along with its inhabitants. Khatyn became a symbol of the tragedy of the Belarusian people, a page of sorrow in the history of the Great Patriotic War, which was already sad. The Khatyn Memorial Complex is a memorial in memory of hundreds of Belarusian villages destroyed by the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War and the enormous contribution of the Belarusian people, who made countless sacrifices in the name of victory. On the territory of the complex there is the only “Village Cemetery” in the world - 185 graves, each of which symbolizes one of the unregenerate Belarusian villages that were burned along with the population.

The Mound of Glory is a 70-meter mound. 20 years later, after the liberation of Belarus, soil was brought here from all countries that fully felt the grief and tragedy of the war years - this is how a man-made hill was created. And now in its depths there is a land groaning with sorrow, brought from 12 hero cities and 1 hero fortress. Nearby is an exhibition of military equipment. Above the hill are four closed 35-meter bayonet-obelisks, symbolizing the military brotherhood of the 4 Fronts: the first, second and third Belarusian and the first Baltic, which liberated our country.

4. On the fourth day - visit to the Brest Fortress and Belovezhskaya Pushcha.

During the excursion, pages of the history of the terrible days of the beginning of the war will open before you, when at dawn on June 22, 1941, the garrison of the Brest Fortress was the first to take the blows of the Nazi invaders and held the defense in complete encirclement for more than a month. Already at the entrance you will be greeted by the shrill voice of Yu. Levitan with a government message about the attack on the Soviet Union by the troops of Nazi Germany and A. Alexandrov’s song “Holy War”, which became the anthem of those years. On May 8, 1965, the fortress was awarded the title of “hero fortress.”

The Brest Fortress Defense Museum is a museum whose exhibition reflects not only the military actions of 1941 on the territory of the fortress, but also the history of its construction, as well as the largest battles of the Great Patriotic War and the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders. The Defense Museum was opened in 1956, since then its area and exhibition have expanded 2.5 times; objects from excavations, works of art, military documents, and photographs are presented here. The greatest value among all the items on display are the notes of S.S. Smirnov with memories of participants in the defense of the Brest Fortress.

We have already written about Belovezhskaya Pushcha.

New Year 2019 in Belarus is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the main winter holiday inexpensively, fun and exciting. In the union state there is neither a language barrier nor a negative attitude towards Russian tourists. Many travelers, returning home from the presented country, honestly admit that during their vacation they again felt like they were in the Soviet Union. These statements are not without meaning, because Belarus has preserved the best traditions of the Soviet past, including in the sphere of New Year's celebrations.

Holiday options

Holidays in Belarus for the New Year 2019 are varied and interesting. Tourists are offered the following celebration options:

  • mass folk festivals;
  • going to entertainment venues;
  • check-in to boarding houses or sanatoriums;
  • visiting ski resorts (Raubichi, Silichi, etc.).

Each of the listed methods involves certain financial expenses, however, even by the standards of the average Russian family, prices in Belarus are quite affordable. It is not surprising that many domestic tourists prefer a trip to their Belarusian brothers instead of Finland.

Celebration traditions in the country

Every year on the night of January 1, the streets of Belarusian cities are filled with tens of thousands of people who celebrate the main winter holiday on a grand scale. It is noteworthy that at 12 o’clock at night the avenues are almost completely deserted, since Belarusians greet the chiming clock at home, in a close circle of family or friends. Several years ago there was a tradition of celebrating the so-called Russian (at 11 pm) and local New Years. Now the time difference between Minsk and Moscow has been leveled, so a few minutes before midnight people watch the festive congratulations of V.V. Putin or A.G. Lukashenko.

On the streets of regional centers (Gomel, Grodno, Vitebsk, Mogilev, Brest), Christmas trees are installed in every district, but most people come to the main squares. All those present are offered an original show program, including:

  • performances by artists;
  • round dances around the Christmas tree;
  • open air disco;
  • competitions from Father Frost and Snow Maiden.

The culmination of the celebrations will be a bright fireworks display that will thunder in the capital and major cities at 2 am. It is important to remember that in Belarus it is prohibited to openly drink alcohol, only in opaque bags. For violating the established rule, you can receive a substantial fine (from 500 to 1.5 thousand rubles). However, on New Year's Eve, Belarusian law enforcement agencies are loyal to citizens who have exceeded their quota, and in most cases offer to accompany them home or to a hotel.

Restaurants and bars in Belarus

For those who do not want to celebrate the New Year 2019 in the open air, we recommend going to entertainment venues. Belarusian cuisine will delight you with original dishes, such as potato pancakes, sorcerers, cracklings, dumplings with all kinds of fillings, and home-baked potatoes. For alcoholic drinks, be sure to try whipped cream, herbal or berry tinctures, and moonshine.

As for the prices in local restaurants, you will be pleased with their cheapness. Even if you go out on a grand scale, no more than 2-3 thousand rubles are spent per table on New Year’s Eve, but the final receipt depends on the quantity ordered. The only thing you need to take care of in advance is to reserve a table, because on the evening of December 31st there may not be any free seats available. In regional centers, unlike Minsk, there are almost no pretentious establishments, and celebrations take place in a cozy, spiritual atmosphere.

Boarding houses and sanatoriums

If you want to celebrate the New Year 2019 in Belarus inexpensively and with health benefits, then you should visit the local sanatoriums. The table below provides the necessary information about all such institutions in the country:

Name of the sanatoriumLocationSpecializationCost of living

Each resort offers its own entertainment program for the New Year. The cost of booking a table at a banquet varies between 1-1.5 rubles, but for this amount you will receive a minimum set of dishes and alcoholic drinks. During the event, guests of the boarding houses will be able to dance, make interesting acquaintances, and participate in exciting competitions. In other words, it won't be boring.

Ski resorts in the country

For winter sports lovers, two famous ski resorts have been built in Belarus - Raubichi and Silichi. They are located just a few tens of kilometers from Minsk, and on New Year’s holidays, comfortable transport runs to them every hour. The price list in Raubichi is much cheaper than, for example, in and looks like this:

  • instructor lessons - 800 rub./hour;
  • bath/sauna – from 1.5 thousand rubles for 2 hours;
  • one-time ride on the ski lift – 150 rubles;
  • visiting the gym – from 400 rubles/hour;
  • rental of ski equipment – 500-1500 rubles/day;

Raubichi and Silichi are multifunctional sports complexes where you can relax with the whole family, get involved in sports and have a good New Year's holiday surrounded by picturesque landscapes.

New Year tours to Belarus

Belarus is one of the most popular tourist destinations in recent times. Every year, tens of thousands of Russians travel to the neighboring country to celebrate the New Year inexpensively and tastefully. The cost of tours in January increases slightly and varies between 10-15 thousand rubles per person. You can get to any point in the republic from Moscow or St. Petersburg in 6-9 hours by bus, and for particularly impatient travelers there are direct flights to Minsk airport (1.5-2 hours of flight).

Thus, the New Year 2019 in Belarus will delight you with reasonable prices, variety of leisure activities and memorable events. In this country, a Russian tourist will never feel like a stranger, because here he is accepted as a brother. In Belarus there is a place to relax and celebrate the beginning of the new year. Where should we go?

Where to go?

Rest in the city

Tours to Belarus begin with choosing a place to go. For lovers of nightlife, clubs, restaurants, cultural places, this is, of course, Minsk.

New Year in Minsk is a real celebration in a European city. On the main square, the Christmas tree is decorated annually, restaurants, cafes, and night clubs operate.

Before the New Year, many fairs are held in Minsk where you can purchase locally produced goods:

  • women's underwear;
  • textile;
  • cosmetics;
  • bed sheets;
  • products of modern masters.

As you know, goods in Belarus are of high quality and made from natural materials, so the New Year can be combined with shopping.

Wandering around the shops and fairs, you can visit the venues where show programs are held. There are usually many of them, some of them are based on national material. If you come to Minsk with children, you can go to performances in theaters, concert halls and entertainment centers. Be sure to visit the main Christmas tree of the country.

On New Year's tours, guests can enjoy excursions around the city or outside the city:

  • aquapark;
  • Dudutki - a gentry estate of the 19th century;
  • Berezinsky Nature Reserve;
  • Dukorsky maentak is an old estate where children will be met by fairy-tale characters and folk craftsmen;
  • History Park Sula - Rubezhevichi;
  • Trips to Nesvizh and Mir to see ancient castles;
  • Belovezhskaya Pushcha with the estate of Father Frost;
  • Ancient Zaslavl;
  • Brest Fortress;
  • Slonim and other cities of Belarus.

New Year in nature

Belarus is a country rich in natural gifts. If you want to go to a ski resort, you don’t have to go abroad and spend extra money. Tours to Belarus for the New Year 2017 offer equally good conditions for skiing.

And although Belarus cannot boast of high mountains, there are places to go skiing:

  • Center for the Training of Olympic Athletes "Raubichi";

At ski resorts you can rent equipment and undergo wellness treatments.

No less interesting can be visiting relict forests, lakes and rivers. Here you can see rare animals listed in the Red Book. Hunting season opens in some areas. Here you can see wild boar, deer, fox, marten, and hares. Sometimes you can get caught hunting a wolf.

There are many lakes (Narochanskie, Braslavskie) and rivers (Neman, Vileya) in Belarus. This is where you can go on fishing tours.

No less interesting will be tours for the New Year 2017 to agricultural estates. Ecotourism is becoming increasingly popular. Here you can get up close and personal with folk traditions and crafts, go sleigh rides, even organize corporate events, and visit an ostrich farm.

If you have not yet decided where to spend the New Year inexpensively and variedly, be sure to come to Belarus.

Weather

The New Year's Eve should not be ruined by bad weather. And Belarus will not allow this. The climate here is perfect as a setting for this holiday.

The air temperature here is not very low - from -8 to -4 degrees. But there is a lot of snow: the cover reaches 15-30 cm. So skiing will be provided, and a visit to the estate of Father Frost will be truly fabulous.
