Khao kheow from bangkok. We go to the Khao Kheo Zoo on our own. Ticket prices

The Khao Kheo Zoo in Pattaya, in terms of the way it organizes space, is closer to real safari parks, in which animals are given more territory than people; naturally, hunting them is out of the question. There are no cramped cages; they are replaced by spacious enclosures or fenced kraals. Only predators and large herbivores like buffalos are protected from direct communication with visitors. Their places of residence are fenced with bars and ditches with water. The rest of the animals are allowed to stroll among the zoo visitors, charging them tribute with goodies. You can do it with them. The zoo is located sixty kilometers from Pattaya, so you can see a lot of interesting things along the way.

Who to see and what to do for fun

Khao Kheow Zoo in Thailand(photo below) is a place where you can see and get acquainted with the life of more than three hundred species of animals, most of which are inhabitants of the jungles of Southeast Asia. For the convenience of visitors, its territory is divided into thematic zones.

  • Elda Park or Deer Park.
  • Monkey Island.
  • Savannah inhabitants.
  • Valley of Cats.
  • Interactive zoo for.
  • Butterfly garden.
  • World of birds.

Main entrance

There are several routes along which you can visit most of the zoo's exhibition. The territory is so vast that you will not be able to explore it all in one day if you try to walk on foot. Renting transport can help you with this - excursion buses travel along the paths of Khao Kheo, and exotic lovers are offered a walk, which can last 10, 20 or 30 minutes.

This zoo is interactive, where you can not only watch, but also participate in various shows with the participation of its inhabitants. Performance programs for pelicans, otters, and wild boars are offered. Even tigers, including representatives of an endangered species - white ones, will demonstrate their natural grace to you.

Exhibition show

If you like extreme sports, you can go to Khao Kheo at night; the zoo organizers have prepared a special program for this time of day. After sunset, from six to eight in the evening, the night life of the jungle is recreated, full of chilling screams and rustles.

You can only know which animals at the Khao Kheo Zoo in Pattaya are available for viewing and what performances are given with their participation at the moment when you find yourself in front of the entrance. Every day, the zoo organizers change the program, and advertising brochures and notices are distributed to visitors by zoo employees or tour guides.

What tourists should know

Visit Khao Kheow in Pattaya does not necessarily involve large expenses. You can easily do without buying expensive excursions. Often an independent walk turns out to be much more interesting than one led by a guide. A free map will help you, using which you will make a plan for visiting the most interesting places for yourself and avoid the need to stay in places where you will be uncomfortable or unpleasant. For example, not everyone likes an excursion to a snake farm, and some people really don’t want to visit a bee factory. On your own, you can visit all the pharmacies and kiosks that sell traditional Thai medicine. In any case, no one will remind you that: “Tsigel, cigel ay lyu-lyu,” it’s time to move on to the next point in the program.

But renting excursion transport is a completely justified expense. The zoo's terrain is variable, and the descents and ascents under the hellish tropical sun can be so tiring that you will miss all the fun. For greater clarity, look at the scale of the park in the photo below:

Leave a few hundred baht to buy treats for the animals. Communication with them is a sea of positivity, for which it is worth visiting the zoo. Buy assorted food from the traders, then you can feed different representatives of the fauna - after all, they have different taste preferences.

Under no circumstances feed people walking along footpaths - these are unwanted guests who sneak in through poorly fenced areas for free food! Even park employees warn about this.

How much does it cost and how does it work

The zoo is open every day, including weekends and holidays. It opens at eight in the morning and officially closes at six in the evening. Closing does not mean that all visitors are kicked out. If you wish, you can stay there all night. For this purpose, there is a guest house with very affordable prices.

The price of a ticket to Khao Kheo Pattaya Zoo depends on whether you are an organized visitor or a “wild” one. Admission for adults is 300 baht, for children - 150. This price includes admission to two performances. (jungle ride and animal show). You can save a few baht if you come with a group of five people. There are also special excursion programs, the cost of which can reach 2 thousand baht. You can buy a ticket for such a visit not only at a travel agency, but also directly at the entrance.

How to get to the zoo

Municipal transport does not go there, but get to Khao Kheow Zoo in Pattaya on your own- quite a feasible task. You can go to Khao Kheow Zoo by bike, but a more convenient way would be. It is located north of the city, a little further than the much more famous Si Racha Tiger Zoo. Five kilometers after the tiger nursery you will see a large sign “Khao Kheo”, from it to the zoo it is another 20 kilometers.

An individual car will be sent for you at the specified time if you place an order for official website zoo. You can order a taxi, but it will cost you more than the zoo itself, so go to the tiger nursery at the municipal songthaew, and you will find a taxi next to it.

The most convenient and cheapest way to get to Khao Kheo is a sightseeing bus (minivan). A tour of the area will cost you 900 baht. This amount includes the price of the entrance ticket, and if you’re lucky, also the cost of travel on the zoo’s excursion transport.

Video tour of Khao Kheow Zoo in Pattaya

Hello friends. Today I will tell you about the Thai zoo, which is a must-see. Here you can not only see rare animals in their native habitat, but also feed and cuddle them. Elephants, giraffes, bearcats themselves come to you for communication. The point, of course, is not only about you, but also about the juicy carrots that you take with you. Well, so what? Khao Kheo Zoo is called the best zoo in the world. Judge for yourself.

Thailand. Pattaya city. Chon Buri Province. Khao Kheow Open Zoo.

Feel free to plan a whole day for your trip to the zoo. Some people plan for 2 days) In the zoo you can walk on foot, use an electric pleasure car, feed the animals with food purchased at the entrance, and have picnics in a specially designated area.

The zoo has a ropes course called Flight of the Gibbon. To arrive there fully equipped, you can train in the Moscow high-rise at VDNKh.

A special place

Thailand has a huge number of nature reserves. Yes, for one thing (Taiger Nempl), to feed babies from a bottle, take a teenage tigress for a walk or play “rustle” with an adult tiger, it’s worth visiting this country.

Khao Kheo Zoo in Pattaya is one of the same unforgettable places.

Friends, we are now on Telegram: our channel about Europe, our channel about Asia. Welcome)

You can say that you have been to many different zoos and seen the best ones. Yes, Galya and I also do not miss the opportunity to communicate with the animal world. We were in, which amazes with its thoughtfulness and well-groomed nature, we walked around, where animals listed in the Red Book are collected, on a moonlit night we listened to the singing of wolves in the open-air zoo of Singapore, we washed the tigers with shampoo and gave them milk in the Tiger Temple.

In Moscow, we squeezed raccoons and noses in the safari park, saved food from the giraffes that “attacked” us, and caught hundreds of fish that swam for rice in the Erawan National Park. We've seen a lot, but Khao Kheow Zoo is something special.

  • Firstly, it is huge and covers about 500 hectares (1,200 acres).
  • The zoo has been operating for 60 years.
  • It is owned by the Zoological Parks Organization under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Development.
  • This is an open zoo, i.e. animals are in their natural environment. They live in the jungle, in clearings, lawns, pastures, and ponds. Animals and visitors are separated by a ravine or fence so that the animal can be reached by hand.

  • Some of the zoo's inhabitants walk around the grounds with you.
  • Except dangerous predators. Fortunately, you can’t get close to them, just like they can’t get close to you.

  • Many animals can be fed, petted and played with.

  • The park is home to more than 250 species and about 3,000 animals. Great amount. Among them there are rare endangered species, some of which we have never even heard of.

  • There are places to relax and study animal life.
  • The zoo hosts hilarious shows with pets.

  • There is a cable car "Flight of the Gibbon"
  • There is an evening excursion “Jungle After Sunset” and “Nightlife of Animals” (takes place from 18 to 20 pm).

Video from the zoo's YouTube channel. This needs to be shown to children. For those who do not like to wash their hair and hands)

Zoo areas

  • savannah
  • antelope park
  • valley of cats
  • monkey island
  • butterfly garden
  • bird aviary
  • waterfall
  • auditorium
  • picnic area overlooking the lake

For those who don’t like zoos and believe that animals should live away from humans, let’s just say one thing - in natural conditions, animals live freely and... not for long. In a good zoo, the life of a pet is extended by 2 and sometimes 3 times. Not to mention the babies, whose survival is monitored by veterinary specialists.

Ways to get around the zoo

Since the territory of Khao Kheo is huge, you can move here in different ways

  • on foot (it’s difficult or impossible to get around everything in one day)
  • on a large pleasure bus that goes around the zoo. You can get out and get back in
  • by electric car (you can rent it)
  • on an elephant

How to get there

The zoo is located 60 km from Pattaya and 130 km from Bangkok. There is no direct access to the zoo by public transport.

  • The easiest way is to go on a tour. At any travel agency it costs about 800 - 900 baht. But then you will need to follow a guide. For those who like to wander their own route and move slowly and with feeling, this method is not suitable.
  • The second method is also simple: go to the official website and order a transfer.
  • Agree with a taxi driver in Pattaya about a day trip (round trip). The price depends on your bargaining ability.
  • Travel independently from Pattaya to rented car or motorbike first to the city of Sirach. Then follow the sign to the right and another 20-30 minutes to the zoo.
  • And the last way is to take a songthaew to the city of Sirach (this is about 20 baht). And then take a taxi to the zoo.

  • Bring a hat and water.
  • Wear comfortable shoes - you will have to walk a lot.
  • Women who want to visit the Flight of the Gibbon rope park are advised to wear trousers or shorts.
  • Don't tease animals.
  • Buy several bags of pet food.
  • Avoid encounters with wild monkeys. These are alien monkeys who can snatch bags from your hands, take off your glasses and run away (this happened with Galya), scratch, bite. You should hide bags of food from wild monkeys. Just don't show them the food.

  • Save the food in bags for the peaceful monkeys of the zoo.
  • Giraffes, with their long purple tongue, no worse than monkeys, can steal poorly hidden food. It looks very funny. Be on the lookout - there are still many funny animals ahead.

Khao Kheow Zoo on the map

Address: 235 Moo 7, Tambon Bang-Pra, Amphur Sriracha, Chonburi 20110 (address taken from the official website of the zoo)

We wish you a cheerful mood and new impressions. See you on the blog.

Sincerely,

Near Pattaya, just 40 kilometers away, there is an excellent open zoo - Khao Kheo Open Zoo.
A favorite place for children and adults, where we have been many times already and still never get tired of it.
Khao Kheo Zoo in Pattaya is impossible to fully explore at one time - it is so big, it contains many animals that you will not see anywhere else.

Khao Kheo Zoo Pattaya On Your Own – How to Get There?

The day planned for the trip was met with a prolonged downpour, such that it seemed never to end.
But this is Pattaya, the tropics, and the rain stopped as suddenly as it started. After breakfast, we loaded into the car and headed towards the zoo.

If you are planning to go there by car, you need to take the highway to Bangkok, before the turn there will be a large banner - Khao Kheo klub, after it you need to turn under the bridge and drive another 7 km following the signs. It is very difficult to get lost; the entire road from Pattaya to Khao Kheo is completely covered with signs.

How to get to Khao Kheo?

You can get there in several ways: take a tour from a travel agency on the street; in March 2017, a trip to Khao Kheo cost 700-800 baht
Then you will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and brought back in the afternoon.

By the way, if you don’t know who is better and cheaper to buy excursions without worrying about organization and execution, write to me in the comments,
I will send you the contacts of the travel agency whose services we use ourselves. The convenient thing is that you don’t need to pay anything in advance, only after the fact when it comes to you
the driver arrives. Excellent quality and interesting excursions in Pattaya.

Entry price to Khao Kheo Pattaya

Entrance ticket for an adult – 400 baht, children - 150. Car another 50.
The photo shows 2014 prices. Prices have gone up since then :)

So, of course, the price is better with a tour, transfer and all expenses are already included.

Right at the entrance there are merchants from whom you can buy animal feed. It will also be sold in the future, but here it is already included in several packages and is varied.
You don’t have to get out of the car; enterprising Thais will run up on their own. For 50 baht you will get 3 bags containing bananas, cucumbers, bean stalks.

How to get around Khao Kheo

This is an important question, because the Khao Kheo Zoo is open, that is, in area it occupies an unreal number of kilometers.
If you are on an excursion, you will mainly walk on foot; you will be given a ride to the main enclosures. If you arrived not by a minivan, but by a large bus, then you will most likely be put in a long open golf cart, which will be driven around the zoo.

On the excursion you will also be taken to a show that takes place every day in the park and it is very boring, and before the visit the guide spent about 20 minutes setting us up and telling us how to take seats correctly so that our compatriots would not take away, in general, the scoop.

You can travel by car, or you can rent a golf cart. This time we did just that, because it’s very convenient, the breeze blows and you can steer :)
Golf car rental - 350 baht for 2 hours, then 100 baht per hour.

Advice. Take a 4-seater car, it’s faster and don’t take No. 115, it’s a two-seater and didn’t go uphill at all. It is also worth clarifying that most likely they will not give you a golf cart without a license. If you have Russian rights, ok.

Animals of Khao Kheo

Khao Kheo is home to many animals and birds, including rare ones. Meeting cute gibbons

You can also feed the rabbits by putting 10 baht in your piggy bank

What I like about Khao Kheo is that you can touch all the animals, take pictures up close and no one yells.
The animals are cheerful and well-fed, and a parallel constantly arose in my mind with the Moscow zoo, where they charge 500 (!!!) rubles for entry, and the animals sit there all dirty and sad in their stone bags.

I haven’t seen buns or cotton candy sold in a Thai zoo, but each enclosure has food for a specific animal and there is no problem that the entire enclosure is covered with food sludge like buns and Snickers.

So, we're driving our golf cart and who do we meet?

Tame goats and kids,

Penguins!

Where to eat in Khao Kheow

Tents with food and fruit are scattered throughout the zoo. There are several cafes - at the entrance to the zoo and in the middle, where you can buy a ticket for the favorite attraction of all tourists - the flight of the Gibbon.
By the way, my husband and I also “flew”; I’ll describe my impressions someday.

If you want to eat ice cream, there is plenty of it here and prices are the same as in a store.

What surprises me throughout Thailand is that in public places like the zoo or the local Disneyland (I mean Dream World), they don’t raise prices for food and drinks, taking advantage of the fact that you still have nowhere to go and you buy an unfortunate sandwich in Gorky Park for 400 rubles and stand in line for warm soda there.
Prices for water are 10-15 baht, the same as at 7/11, ice cream is 15-30 baht. Fantastic. It's called everything for people.

Rare animals in Khao Kheo

Here you can find the binturong, also called the cat bear. You can take a photo with him; there is a caretaker nearby. And if you wish, make a donation to the Binturong Fund.
The cat sector is home to beautiful white lions, tigers, and cheetahs.
There is a bird sector, a sector called “Australia” where a koala and a kangaroo live, and also a beautiful Tapir

Tapirs have incredible blue eyes and are terribly cute.)

I advise you to come to Khao Kheo on a weekday, in the morning or evening, when there are fewer people. You can also stay there for an evening excursion, I haven’t been, but they say it’s interesting.
For vacationers in Pattaya, no matter with or without children, I recommend visiting this very pleasant place, after which you will be left with a lot of memories and framed photos that are taken there on the spot.

How to save money on a hotel or apartment on vacation?

I'm looking on the Rumguru website. It contains absolutely all discounts on hotels and apartments from 30 booking systems, including booking. I often find very profitable options, I can save from 30 to 80%

How to save on insurance?

Insurance abroad is required. Any appointment is very expensive and the only way to avoid paying out of pocket is to choose an insurance policy in advance. We have been applying for many years on the website, which gives the best prices for insurance and selection along with registration takes only a couple of minutes.

Khao Kheo Zoo in Pattaya is the most interesting and popular attraction included in the list of excursion programs for tourists. The zoo is different in that most of the animals here roam freely, you can approach them and even feed them. Convenient infrastructure and a variety of entertainment programs make this the best place for family fun in Thailand.

General information about Khao Kheow Zoo in Pattaya

A huge park with the official name Khao Kheow Open Zoo is located in Chonburi province, about 45 km north of the resort city of Pattaya. Its area covers 800 hectares, making it the largest in the entire East Asian region. The zoo was created in 1974 due to the increase in the number of animals in the Royal Metropolitan Zoo.

Map of Khao Kheow Zoo in Pattaya

Now the territory is home to about 300 species of birds and animals, the total number of which has exceeded 8 thousand. The park territory is conditionally divided into 3 parts:

  • open areas and enclosures that allow contact with animals;
  • fenced enclosures with predators and rare animals;
  • area for show programs.

All zones are connected by numerous paths along which tourists are offered to travel in electric cars. The peculiarity of the park is that there are almost no cages here - animals roam freely, many of them can be touched, which is why the zoo is called a petting zoo. All the inhabitants of the menagerie are kept in excellent conditions. The territory has its own veterinary clinic; a whole staff of employees ensures that the animals are well-groomed and well fed.

Video “Overview of Khao Kheow Zoo in Pattaya”

After watching this video, you will know what the most popular zoo in Thailand looks like.

What animals are there in the zoo?

For convenience, the areas where animals live are divided into separate thematic zones.

African savanna

This is an island inhabited by animals brought from the African continent: zebras, giraffes, antelopes, rhinoceroses, buffaloes. Here you can also observe the largest bird – the African ostrich.

The African savannah is the most popular place among tourists in the zoo.

Elda Deer Park

A very beautiful themed island with boulders and a few trees, among which herds of antelope, deer and small roe deer slowly stroll. They can be fed and petted.

Valley of cats

Here, behind a shallow water fence, you can observe wild tigers, panthers, leopards, lions and other exotic representatives of the cat family.

Lemur Island

These cute animals live on a small separate island, accessible only by boat.

Wild Animal Territory

Wild animals from different continents are placed here: American raccoons, Australian kangaroos, Asian lynxes, lemurs from Madagascar, South American squirrels and monkeys, pygmy hippopotamuses.

Bird Hill

Here, exotic birds are presented in a spacious aviary, including several species of parrots.

Monkey Island

On a small island surrounded by a pond, gibbons, orangutans, chimpanzees, and capuchins sit on branches. Small monkeys jump tirelessly, which you can watch from afar. It is prohibited to feed them.

Many wild monkeys enter the area. The park administration asks visitors to be careful, as the animals are quite aggressive, gather in packs and take not only food from tourists, but also bags and jewelry.

Butterfly garden

A very beautiful place where butterflies brought from all over the world live among exotic flowers.

Penguin House

This place is a structure where penguins and their offspring live. Remote monitoring of animals.

There is an aviary for penguins on the territory of Khao Kheo

Children's Zoo

There are several low enclosures with decorative rabbits, small kids and rams. There is also a pond with turtles, an aquarium and a room where little penguins live. Children can feed the babies and enjoy close communication.

Other zoo inhabitants

In addition to the above-described zones, the territory is home to many birds, including waterfowl. There are also turtles, snakes and even crocodiles. The highlight of the park is the binturongs. These animals are not found in European menageries and are generally rare. Outwardly, they are not very attractive; they look like a bear crossed with a cat. However, they are friendly and enjoy eating bananas brought by visitors.

To feed and communicate with animals, it is better to come to the enclosures in the morning and afternoon. During the day, many animals hide in the shadows and do not make contact with visitors.

Animal show

Several shows with trained animals are held on site every day. Children will enjoy the seal performance, penguin parade and elephant bathing. The elephant show is an exciting event. Visitors are invited into a room where an elephant swims in front of them in a huge aquarium. The show lasts 5 minutes, but the impressions remain unforgettable.

The elephant show is an exciting event

Part of the program is dedicated to predator hunting. This spectacle is not for the faint of heart. During the show, tigers hunt for prey and eat it, then hyenas come to eat the remains of the carrion. There is also a separate show program for groups called “Journey to the Jungle.” It is designed in such a way that the animals perform on their own, as if according to a script, without a trainer. This trip lasts half an hour and is offered three times a day - at 11-00, 13-10 and 15-10.

Animal show schedule:

  • penguin parade - at 11-00 and 14-30, on weekends additionally at 16-00;
  • pelican performance – 10-00 and 14-00;
  • elephant swimming – 10-15 and 14-15 on weekdays, additionally at 12-15 on weekends;
  • talent show (birds and animals that can draw, sing, dance) - on weekdays: 11-00, 14-00, 15-00, on weekends at 16-00.

Before traveling to this beautiful place, it is recommended to study the reviews of other tourists and read the information on the official website. It is also worth purchasing a map at the entrance that will help you navigate the area. You need to take hats, drinking water and small change in local currency to buy food, drinks and animal feed.

How to get there

There is no public transport to the park, so you can only get here by taxi or rented car. The cost of a taxi from Pattaya will cost approximately 1 thousand baht, and the journey will take 30-40 minutes. You can also take a taxi to the nearest town of Siracha, and from there take a taxi. For the first time, the easiest way is to book an organized excursion, the price of which includes transfer.

You can get to the zoo yourself by taxi or rented car.

Opening hours

Entrance is open to visitors daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. After closing, from 18 to 20-00, here you can go on a night safari and watch the night life of animals in a separate area. Those wishing to explore all the thematic areas are recommended to go on an excursion in the morning, since the park area is very large. There is a hotel where you can relax or stay overnight.

Cost of visit

The entrance fee is 250 baht per adult and 100 baht per child over 90 cm tall. Children under two years old have free admission. You can get a discount when purchasing and booking tickets on the website. There are also group discounts - for quantities of 5 or more people, the price is negotiated individually.

Organized excursions are offered in hotels and just on the street, which will cost a tourist 500-700 baht. This price includes round trip transfer and guide services. As for individual visits, in addition to the entrance ticket, you will have to spend money on an electric car (from 500 baht for 2 hours) and viewing a show - an adult ticket costs 100 baht, for a child - 50. Animal food is sold at the enclosures and at the entrance, their cost is 30 , 50 and 100 baht.

It is important to know that for drinking alcoholic beverages and smoking on the territory there is a fine of 2 thousand baht.

Animal feed is sold at the enclosures and at the entrance

Where to eat

There are no problems with food on site, however, the only catering establishments here are a few food courts and cafes where you can order pizza, spaghetti, rice, seafood, meat and much more. Cool drinks and ice cream are sold on every corner. Among the exotic dishes, you can try grilled bananas, local fruits, and also enjoy fresh coconut.

Finally, I got to one of the most interesting and long-awaited places! Khao Kheow open Zoo is the coolest zoo I've visited. The territory is so huge that you need to drive an electric car around it for an additional fee. It is impossible to cover everything on foot in one day.

Previous photo story about the Sriracha Tiger Zoo. Read other parts of our journey, all links to them are contained in the initial post.

I advise you to book a tour to the Khao Kaew Zoo online for only $20 for any day. Very convenient, without any agencies, directly from the carrier.

How to get to Khao Kheow Open Zoo

It is easier to get to the zoo with your own transport: for example, on a rented bike. Or by taxi. Or take an excursion, for example, Discovery Tour.

Address: 235 Moo 7, Tambon Bang-Pra, Amphur Sriracha, Chonburi 20110

Entrance fees: 300 baht for adults, 150 baht for children

Cost of renting an electric car for 1 hour: 350 baht for four people, 500 baht for six people, you need a passport for registration.

I highly recommend taking an electric car: this way you will cover a larger area than on foot. You will ride with the breeze and stop wherever you want. But on foot it will be hot and you will get tired quickly - the distances there are considerable. Be sure to take a document with you - they won’t rent an electric car without a passport.

You will receive a huge amount of positive emotions, and you should definitely visit Khao Kheow, with or without children - everyone will be interested. Even those who don’t like zoos will be completely delighted. The animals here are kept completely different from what we are used to - many are kept without cages, practically in the wild. They are separated from visitors by wooden fences or even ditches filled with water! Most animals can be fed and petted.

The zoo is divided into continental zones. There is also a pavilion with cats and an aviary with birds, where hundreds of birds fly and walk on the ground next to you!

Let me return to the very beginning of the story. So, we are standing not far from the entrance to the zoo. It rained not long ago, everything was wet. The foliage has turned a bright green color. In general, I really love tropical forests, and I’m just beside myself with happiness when I see this. There is also a good road among all this beauty. Even with markings!

The rain drew bizarre patterns on the asphalt:

I understand perfectly why “sanuk”, “sabai” and “may pen rai”... It is impossible to live differently in a wonderful climate and among such nature.

Since we were visiting the Khao Kaew Zoo on a tour, they first wanted to send us to the show. But it didn’t take place due to rain, and we happily went to look at the big cats. They live behind glass, in spacious enclosures. And sooo beautiful.

What a kitty! I photographed through glass, so don’t be afraid of the ghostly outlines of someone’s faces.

The tiger is resting.

The enclosure with the tigers is large, and everyone lives here together. The white tiger looked extremely worried and walked back and forth all the time.

While we were walking under the roof and watching the cats, the rain stopped completely and the sun appeared.

We continue to examine the cats. Leopard is grace itself! Unrealistically beautiful. After all, nature created animals ideal.

My head itched for some reason.. :)

Flamingos look like toys:

Finally you can feed someone! Deer are very friendly and harmless. It’s so cool to walk like this next to animals, communicate with them and even pet them.

Got wet in the rain, poor thing! So beautiful.

They walk quietly along the road, nibbling grass.

Almost all of the monkeys are in cages. But they are not offended, because they love to climb on the net and demand treats. Capuchins:

Silly thin-bodied. Just a cutie:

Pig-tailed macaques:

The gibbon turned out to be so cute and fluffy with a pleasant white edging on his face:

But this black representative of the monkey family has his own island! Unlike his brothers in enclosures, he frolics on the grass in the sun and enjoys life in the open in every possible way. His island is separated from the mainland by a moat with water, so the monkey cannot escape. And he’s not even going to: while we were watching this animal’s entertainment, it managed to go crazy, run around, lie down, get tired and fall to rest on the grass. The spectacle was memorable: consider a monkey in the wild to see how it behaves when not constrained by a cage.

And these beauties only recently had their feeder replenished with fresh grass. We observe the process of leisurely saturation:

And the hippos are so cute! So plump, with funny short legs.

The most fun thing is to feed them. You need to wait until the hippopotamus opens its mouth - and then the most epic begins! You need to aim and throw the treat right into his mouth. When the hippopotamus thinks that it has had enough to throw at it, it will close its mouth and crunch everything. 🙂 Just for this kind of feeding it’s worth going to the Khao Keo Zoo, it’s an unforgettable experience!

Binturongs, or bearcats - they are so wonderful! The pugs have lined up and are waiting for a treat:

We waited and fed them a peeled banana:

Giraffes! The giraffes are coming - you need to take pictures quickly!

Khao Kheow Zoo is something! I cannot find words to describe it; I am filled with delight and positive emotions from communicating with animals.

Giraffes coexist peacefully with ostriches. By the way, all the animals here are cute and calm. They don’t look tortured and unhappy, like they do in our zoo, but they look very happy.

What tasty things do you have here? 😛

Representatives of foxes: bat-eared foxes.

It was the first time I saw a rhinoceros so close. It is a formidable animal, and only a low fence separates tourists from it. Some daredevils touch his horn, for example, Anton. 🙂 I didn’t dare, I didn’t want to get dirty - his entire horn was covered in dirt. Without tactile sensations it’s also not bad - especially since the rhinoceros posed for me so that I could see all his charms: small eyes, funny ears and wrinkled rough skin.

Simply handsome:

Zhenya fed this comrade from his hands. Very cool zoo!

You won’t surprise me with an ostrich, but it’s also worthy of attention:

The entrance to the bird aviary looks like this:

We go in, and there are a huge number of beautiful birds, and another surprise: roosters. 🙂 Our usual, most ordinary cockerels.

To put it briefly... An aviary is a mini-park with paths, tropical plants and trees, its own little world for birds. And they are the masters here: they walk around busily, allow themselves to be photographed and hand-fed.

The aviary has created very favorable conditions for the life of birds. There are areas where tourists are prohibited from entering; they only need to move along paths.

You can take many photographs of birds in conditions close to wild ones. Until you say that this is a zoo, no one will even understand.

Handsome peacock:

The bird aviary looks like a real jungle:

Thanks to the transparent vaults, there is no feeling of enclosed space:

Occupied a tree:

I tried to tell as much detail as possible about my visit to the wonderful Khao Kheow Zoo, and the result was a pretty decent report: more than 40 photographs. I hope that I was able to show a part of the zoo, its inhabitants, as well as the atmosphere that reigns there. While I was writing the report, I really wanted to walk around the zoo again and refresh my memories, re-experience everything that I experienced during my first visit.
