What to see
Fish market
In the morning you should definitely go to the lively fish market in the northern part of the city. Thailand's second largest fishing fleet is based in Hua Hin. In the morning hours, many tons of fish are unloaded onto the shore and transferred for further processing.
Royal Palace
The Royal Palace was built in the style of European country residences. King Prachatipok (Rama VII) named it "Klaik-langwan" ("Away from worries"). South of Pranburi, along the coast rises a powerful limestone massif, nicknamed Samroyot (Range of 300 Peaks) for its numerous sharp teeth. These mountains are the central part of the national park with an area of 130 square meters. km. They abound in caves and gorges, representing part of a mountain range stretching from northern Thailand to the Malay Peninsula. The most spectacular geological formations are the intricately shaped limestone towers over 600 m high, rising among the wide plain.
While traveling through this part of the national park is easy and pleasant, further to the west its territory, covered with dense and lush vegetation, is not very hospitable. Beaches

The southern zone of the beach begins at Mount Khao Takiab. This beach is very narrow. In many places you can go straight into the water from the steps. Therefore, there are few people in this part, and when it rains, it is completely empty. Khao Takiab beach is always clean, as the beach area is cleaned every weekend. Here you can inexpensively rent a sun lounger and go water skiing.
Suan Son Beach can be called a continuation of Khao Takiab. Entry into its territory is paid and costs 10 baht. This is a very picturesque place with dense thickets of shady vegetation.
In the northern part is Sai Noi Beach. You can get to it by public transport. Tourists recognize this beach as one of the best. There is no special infrastructure, shops or tents.
Story
Although tourism history Hua Hin dates back hundreds of years; there are no piles of hotels and clubs here, such as in Pattaya. The resort does not claim to be the best and most modern. About 100 years ago there was a Railway and in November 1911 the Hua Hin railway station was built. It is still here and is active. A few years later, by order of Rama V, the residence of the King was established in the city. In 1921, Rama VI built another palace, which still exists today. It houses the residence of the current one.

This resort is also chosen by many European elderly couples. At no other resort in Thailand have I seen so many elderly Europeans as in Hua Hin.
As for Russian-speaking tourists, there are so few of them here that all of them can be counted on one hand, just like young people, there are almost none here (when compared with other resorts in Thailand).
This town is very small; you can get around it on a motorbike in 1 hour, or even less. It is almost impossible to get lost here due to the size of the city and its roads; they are so simple that even without driving skills you can master and remember all the routes in 1 hour.

Buses also leave from here to nearby towns, which also deserve attention because of their silence and beautiful deserted beaches. 
The city is divided into two parts, one more well-groomed with restaurants, hotels, bars and entertainment all in Art style, and the second part is poor without all these delights. 
This town is a little reminiscent of Pai in the north of Thailand (I will also tell you about it later). There are almost no high-rise buildings in the city center, with the exception of a few Hilton and Centara hotels.

Climate and weather in Hua Hin
The climate in Hua Hin is tropical, with high humidity, sometimes there is rain in the summer, and in winter there is much less rain, but it still happens. The air temperature throughout the year is approximately +28 - +32 degrees, in winter it can drop to +15.
In January (when we were there), the air temperature was about +35, the sun was there all the time.
Safety in Hua Hin
Many people believe that Hua Hin is the safest resort in Thailand and they are partly right, it is very, very calm here, there is almost no prostitution, there are no drunken and brainless tourists, there are no people of Arab nationality, no people of African nationality, there are only grandparents and Thais around :).
And the valiant police keep order. 
Transport in Hua Hin
In Hua Hin, almost like everywhere else, there is public transport Son Teu (in Pattaya it is called Tuk-Tuk), here it is green. 
His movement is not yet clear to me, but within the city, namely in the center, he almost never drives. I met it completely clogged on the main roads that connect Hua Hin with the nearest cities.
In the city you can get around by motorbike taxi or real Thai Tuk-Tuk.
