Overview of tri trang beach near patong. Tri Trang Beach Resort – Reviews Tri trang beach resort 3 reviews

One of the best beaches in Phuket is Tri Trang Beach. It is a picturesque, peaceful and very pleasant place. The beach itself is small, visitors to the Tri Trang Beach Resort hotel mostly relax here, quite a lot of Russians. Among tourists, Tri Trang Beach is not very popular, many do not know about it at all, despite the fact that it is very close to the most famous and crowded.

The coastline of Tri Trang beach stretches for 700 meters, the descent into the sea is sandy and smooth, the sand on the beach is light yellow. The sea is clear with a turquoise tint. This beach is ideal for families with small children who can safely frolic in shallow water. Tri Trang Beach can boast of its cleanliness, as it is a private area, the hotel staff carefully monitors it. On the shore there are sun loungers with umbrellas, which can be rented for 100 baht.

Tri Trang Beach is located in a secluded bay, so there are no waves here throughout the year. So you can relax on this beach even in the rainy season. Also, unlike many, Tri Trang is removed from the roadway, which means that the noise of cars will not interfere with your rest. The only downside to this beach is the low tide. The trouble is that the water goes very far and it becomes uncomfortable to swim.

Tri Trang beach is also ideal for photo shoots, thanks to its beautiful nature and large stones standing in the north of the beach. You can take great photos, show your imagination and have fun.

I really liked the beach. Calm, quiet and beautiful place. If you decide to take a break from the hustle and bustle, enjoy the beautiful natural scenery, then go to Tri Trang Beach. Complete relaxation is guaranteed.

Beach activities

Despite the fact that Tri Trang Beach is considered a calm and quiet place, there are many beach activities here. You can ride jet skis, water skis, boats, ride with the breeze on the "banana", fly on a parachute, snorkel. On the beach you can enjoy a relaxing massage and improve your body. Also on the beach there is a volleyball court where you can get together with a cheerful company and arrange an excellent game.

And if these entertainments are not enough for you, then in five minutes by car there is the most noisy and party place, where you can have fun all day long.

Cafes and shops on the beach

On Tri Trang beach you will not meet merchants, no one will offer you to buy a watch, swimsuit or ice cream. However, there are cafes and restaurants on the beach where you can order Thai and European cuisine. The most popular place is Goodview Restaurant. It is loved for delicious food, pleasant music and the opportunity to admire beautiful natural landscapes during a meal. And in the evening, candles begin to burn everywhere in the restaurant, which makes this place ideal for a romantic dinner with your loved one.

Hotels on the beach

There are several comfortable hotels on Tri Trang Beach, the most famous of which is the four-star Tri Trang Beach Resort with beautiful sea views and a swimming pool. A more budget option is a two-star hotel - Aersa Paradise. And for those who like hotels with an unusual design, welcome to the At Zea Hotel.

And if you want to find a suitable hotel on your own, then I recommend using the Hotellook service, it looks for options on different booking sites, which will allow you to save up to 60% of the cost on accommodation.

How to get there?

To Tri Trang Beach, take the Thawewong Road to Tri Trang Beach Resort. Near the hotel there is a parking lot where you can leave your car or bike for a fee. Here is the main entrance to the beach. And if you go to the beach on foot and you don’t need parking, you can go through any hole in the fence. From Patong to Tri Trang about 20 minutes on foot. If it is not too hot and you like hiking, then you can easily master the road.

Tri Trang Beach is a small secluded place located south of, about 700 meters long. The second name of the beach is Emerald Beach, in honor of the bay of the same name on the island of Phuket.

A few years ago, only locals knew about this beach, they spent time here under the shade of a large number of trees, arranging picnics. "Three Trang" means "crystal clear", so sometimes the Thais call this beach "Three Tra", which translates as "emerald". Apparently, the locals could not decide which name is better.

At present, this once almost wild place has been captured by civilization. The beach has become more popular and visited, but you can still rarely meet random people there, mostly hotel guests.

Entry into the water, depth and waves

The beach is clean, the water is azure and clear, the entrance to the water is sandy and gentle, great for families with small children. Although if you move further away, then there are already stones in the water.

An unpleasant feature of Tri Trang is strong low tides, at this time the water goes very far from the coast, exposing the rocky bottom, then all that remains is to walk along the coast, collecting shells and enjoy the silence.

The northern (right) part of the beach is more suitable for swimming. At high tide, the sandy bottom is quite enough to swim with pleasure, and since the beach area is protected from the winds by the cape, then the waves, if they happen, are only “for children”.

Sun beds and shade

Entrance to the beach is free for everyone, vacation there is suitable for those who want to escape from the hustle and bustle and from the intrusive service of popular tourist places. The sandy strip is quite wide, sun loungers with umbrellas stand in a maximum of two rows, rent costs 100 baht, but if you wish, you can sit right on the sand.

Infrastructure

There are massage parlors, bars and restaurants on the beach, you can also ride a scooter, kayak, “banana”, go snorkeling, and if you want noisy nightlife, then just 5 minutes by car is Patong, where there is no shortage of entertainment venues .

Houses and hotels on the beach

There are hotels on the beach, mainly in that part of the beach that is closer to Patong. These are basically not very expensive multi-storey resorts with a pool and a good view from the roof terrace. Such, for example, or a little more simple Aersa Paradise.

Against their background, a small stylish and modern one stands out, with creative design interiors that play with a marine theme.

Be sure to check for discounts or special offers on an excellent service. It will quickly and easily show you discounts in all existing booking systems. In the same Asia, for example, there are a lot of offers on Agoda.com, which are much more profitable than in the same hotels in the Booking.com system.

If you want to book a hotel here in advance or look for accommodation on other beaches, I have a good rating and reviews.

How to find the beach

There are two ways to find this beach. The first option is the road leading to the Tri Trang Beach Hotel, there is parking for cars, as well as paid showers and toilets. The second one is a passage through a hole in the fence, in this case a huge old tree, which was carefully surrounded by a fence, can serve as a guide. It is more convenient, of course, to use the first civilized method.

The walk will take you no more than 20 minutes. Well, this is if we are talking about the beginning of Patong, because then you can still walk along Patong itself for another 40 minutes.

Hello everybody! I rested in this hotel in March-April 2017. In a word - I'm satisfied! There are a lot of reviews about Phuket and the hotel in particular, so I will add only a few of my impressions. one). Hotel. The rooms are good clean and comfortable. The main reason why we go to Thailand is the sea. Here you almost jump into it from the balcony. This is the main advantage of the hotel. But this is a minus, civilization is far away. Patong and all entertainment can only be reached by transport. But! 2 times a day there is a free bus from the hotel back and forth (and a couple of times for a fee - 50 baht). You can just go shopping in the heat of the moment and come back, so the morning and evening beach stay with us. But so good, quiet and calm! The staff is polite and attentive. Russian-speaking hotel guide available. Once they forgot to put a towel when cleaning the room. He said at the reception - they brought it quickly. He cracked a glass - during the eviction for the fight, the dishes were not subtracted. Yes, which is good - they do not take a deposit upon check-in!. 2). Food (took one breakfast) liked it. Very varied, every morning a couple of soups (spicy and regular), potatoes, rice, noodles, scrambled eggs, salads, vegetables, greens. Bananas, watermelons, pineapples. Who complains about scarcity - so mango and durian will not be served at the hotel. And in general, who scolds food - disingenuous. At home for breakfast and a tenth of this does not happen. Maybe someone in the cafe eats or the cook cooks, again he is disingenuous, he will rest in another place. 3). Currency exchange only in Patong. Do not change at the airport and hotel, not profitable. It is best in exchangers (exchangjah) and do not run around the city in search of the best exchange rate, the difference is very insignificant (well, you will gain 100 re from the whole exchange, for this you will go to the ends of the earth?). four). Recreational features. The last time I was in Thailand was 4 years ago. Prices have changed a lot! There was 1 ruble = 1 baht, it became 2 to 1. And prices have risen significantly. So forget about Thailand as a budget holiday. I was left with the impression that resting in Europe is no longer very expensive. So we go only for the exotic. Shopping is also not worth it, some branded items are not cheaper than in Russia (more precisely, I'm talking about Moscow). You can buy latex pillows, towels, fruits, souvenirs. Well, that's all. 5). Bike rental. Worth it if you want to move freely. But the police catch all the time! I drove without category A in the rights, a fine of 500 baht, but you drive further all this day (they give something like a scribble-indulgence, and other traffic cops let go). Yes, and you should not conflict with the locals, the police will be on their side anyway. Customs! You can read about other moments of rest in other comments. Once again - I am satisfied with the hotel and the rest! Good luck to you!

Tri Trang Beach Resort 4 * is a hotel complex of 8 buildings located on the coast of Phuket in the Andaman Sea. It was built on a small hill in 2006, and in 2016 a major overhaul was carried out here. Right behind the hotel, the real jungle begins. Because of the favorable location, those who dream of solitude and love to swim come here. The beaches here are much better than on the mainland, the water is very clear, so divers love the island.

Children can swim in a small pool and watch exotic fish on the beach. For the little ones, the staff will bring a baby cot and high chair free of charge.

The territory is framed by palm trees and flowering shrubs. On the grounds between the buildings there are 3 pools, near which there are sun loungers. The buildings are decorated with decorative stucco, sculptures and funny figurines of marine life are installed everywhere. Mostly Russians and Europeans come here. Sometimes the hotel hosts conferences. There is a currency exchange office and a massage parlour.

Rooms

1 of 6

The difference between the complex and many other hotels in Thailand is the absence of a deposit upon check-in. The windows of all rooms overlook the sea in buildings No. 1, 8, 6 and 5, although in the fifth building it is not visible on the first floors. The worst view is in the four-story building No. 4, the windows of which overlook the wall and the houses in the district. On the birthday of tourists, a compliment from the hotel will await - a basket of tropical fruits.

In rooms with a veranda there is no place to dry washed clothes. According to tourists, there is no convenient place to tie a rope. In the bunk rooms of the first building, stone stairs lead to the second floor, so parents need to look after the children so that they do not fall. On the ground floor there is a veranda with a sun lounger and a table.

Guests note the good interior design, as well as the presence of a free safe and a TV with Russian channels. Check-in usually takes place at 14.00, vacationers can choose from several accommodation options:

  • economy rooms (some do not have windows, but have a balcony, a view of the fence and neighboring buildings);
  • standards (mountains and the territory behind the hotel are visible);
  • superior suites with sea and beach views;
  • deluxe (capacity - up to 6 people);
  • junior suites (up to 3 people).

Most of the standards and eco-rooms are designed for 3 people with the possibility of installing one more bed. There are also connected rooms of these categories in the fourth building. Settlement is fast even with a large influx of tourists. Modern elevators are completely silent. Air conditioners are so powerful that most prefer to turn them on at minimum airflow.

Wooden furniture, in traditional Thai style, ceramic tiles on the floor. There is a minibar, kettle and hair dryer. The maids bring tea, coffee and shower supplies daily. Wet cleaning is done carefully, swans are twisted from towels. Also, 1-2 bottles of water are provided for each vacationer.

There are tables and chairs on the terrace, many people prefer to drink tea there, admiring the ebb and flow of the sea. The deluxe suites also have a work desk, an extra chair and a sofa. Most rooms have walk-in showers, but the Deluxe and Junior categories have bathtubs. An iron is available upon request at the reception. It is possible to connect a flash drive to the TV to watch movies brought with you. Wi-Fi is free.

Food

1 of 4

In the main restaurant of Tri Trang Beach Resort, chefs prepare dishes of Thai and European cuisine. In terms of variety, the menu does not quite correspond to the complex with four stars. There is a bar in the lobby where you can order cocktails. Since there are few cafes nearby, and many families with children rest in the complex, guests are offered two food concepts in the low season:

  1. breakfasts;
  2. half board (HB, with the possibility of replacing lunch with dinner).

There is a buffet in the morning and a 3-course menu in the afternoon and evening. In the high season, Full Board options (three meals a day) and AI (all inclusive) appear. Drinks must be paid extra.

Served in the morning:

  • omelets;
  • fruits (pineapples, bananas and watermelons);
  • chicken and pork;
  • soups;
  • vegetables;
  • oatmeal;
  • puree;
  • salads;
  • pancakes and croissants.

Drinks include delicious coffee and tea. Vacationers buy water at the Family Mart supermarket, which is located nearby. If the family paid only for breakfast, it will be expensive to dine in a restaurant for an extra charge, so many people go to cafes or buy food in shops. Also, meals are usually included in the cost of excursions from a tour operator. There is a cafe 800 m from the complex, and there is a pizzeria near the road. At low tide, tourists go to a cafe that can be reached from the end of the beach, as well as a restaurant in the form of a ship.

Staff

As everywhere in Thailand, the employees are very smiling. There is a Russian-speaking manager to work with guests who will tell you where you can rent bikes and what excursions are best to go on. Administrators at the reception work very quickly, the hotel tries to take into account complaints about the quality of cleaning. Sometimes guests have complaints about the work of waiters, who do not always cope with a large influx of guests.

Entertainment and animation

1 of 5

An active entertainment program is a rarity for Phuket and the whole country as a whole. But Tri Trang has both morning and evening activities.

In 2019, discos are arranged in the evenings or guests are invited to karaoke. Tourists can get acquainted with the program in the lobby. Musicians sometimes play in the restaurant.

There is more entertainment for adults than for children. Volleyball is played on the beach, and fitness and yoga classes are held regularly. The depth of the pools is 1.5 m, but children can swim in a shallow area (0.4 m).

It is also possible to work out in the gym and book a massage session, but the prices are more expensive than in Patong. There are table tennis tables and a darts court on site. You will have to pay to play billiards.

Movie screenings are held on Mondays, and beach parties are held on Saturdays.

Beach

1 of 2

The hotel has its own beach, towels are provided free of charge at the reception. Sunbeds are not always enough for all vacationers; another complex is being built nearby. The bottom is rocky, there are corals, so for children it is necessary to grab special shoes. The bay is ideal for toddlers as there are never big waves. The low tide starts around 3 o'clock, but the sea rarely goes far. In 5 minutes by motorboat you can swim to the large beach of Patong. For adults, the sea in the bay may seem too shallow.

It is best to swim in the morning during high tide, in the afternoon it is so shallow that the water barely reaches the knees. In the evenings, with children, you can stroll along the bay and look at sea crabs and corals.

In the low season, this beach will be the best option for those who come to relax with children. White sand on the shore, the entrance is very convenient. You can relax in the shade of palm trees. Biting fish, stingrays and jellyfish are sometimes found in the water. Flocks of colorful small fish swim close to the shore, so at high tide, some tourists go snorkeling.

Location and surroundings

1 of 4

Although it takes only an hour from the central airport of the island, many tour operators prefer to work with charters that fly into Krabi and then take guests on a transfer. Travel time is about 3.5 hours. Delivery of guests to the hotel complex is considered a priority.

The tourist area in the Patong area is about 4 km away, you can get there in 10 minutes. There are practically no stationary cafes nearby, a fruit shop is rarely open. The road to the Family Mart stores is not very convenient, you can walk to the nearest one in 10–15 minutes (to the right), and to the more distant one in 25. You will have to go through hilly terrain. Water in the hotel complex is much more expensive.

Free buses to the city go 2 times a day, stop at the shopping center. Also 2 more times you can ride at a discount.

Tourists speak positively about the Four Pearls tour, during which you can take photos in picturesque bays, canoe in rocky caves and visit a gypsy village that sells very cheap seafood.

The Avatar Path tour of Khao Lak Nature Reserve is popular among hiking enthusiasts. Many choose it to shoot a video where the shooting of a popular film once took place. The observation deck offers a beautiful view of the bay. Trips to Cheow Lan Lake and sightseeing tours around the island are also popular. In Patong, you can shop at Big C or visit the famous Hard Rock Cafe, which houses exhibits related to the KISS band.

We stayed at the hotel from 18.07. until 07/30/19 Hotel on the beach, about 3.5 km from Patong. Walking due to the very hilly terrain is quite problematic. There is a bus from the hotel - 2 times a day for free (at 9.30 and 15.00), additional flights for 50 TNV per person (at 12.00 and 17.30) to the Jungceylon shopping center. Return - from the shopping center at 12.30, 15.00 and 18.00). Taxi and tuk-tuk require 300 TNV one way (you can bargain for 200). The beach is sandy, quite clean, but the tides are very pronounced. InIt is impossible to swim at low tide - it is shallow. For families with small children it is ideal. Stayed in a superior room with a sea view. Large room - 35 m, spacious bathroom with shower, no bath, large balcony with a good view. Cleaned daily with a change of linen (left 20 TNV for tea). The room has a safe, hairdryer, umbrella, TV, minibar. Free water, tea, coffee - replenished daily. The staff is friendly, friendly, there is a Russian girl not the reception. You can ask for an iron, ironing board - then they didn’t take it away from us until departure. The hotel has a massage parlor, prices are about the same with Patong. Cons: Breakfast is monotonous. There are a couple of cafes near the hotel, but the prices there are quite high. The air conditioner was constantly running in the room. Due to the remoteness from the party places, it is advisable to have your own vehicle (there is a motorbike rental at the hotel). In my opinion, 4 * does not pull, but a solid 3 *.

I give this hotel a solid 4. Because we went in the off-season, we were recommended Tri Trang beach due to the lack of big waves. This moment lived up to our expectations. The beach is really nice and you can swim safely. The hotel also has a very good location. And it is relatively close to lively Patong, and there is no noise in the hotel from the same Patong. By the way, free transport runs from the hotel to Patong several times a day, which is also a big plus. Complaints to the staff too.did not occur. If there were requests, they were fulfilled quite quickly, although of course and without much enthusiasm on the face)) There are no complaints about cleaning either, pretty good for Thailand. Breakfast is also quite good, there was always something to choose from. Albeit without much frills. Nice and big rooms with TV. Pretty decent furniture. The room has everything you need for a comfortable stay. And most importantly, a large and comfortable bed. There is a massage on site, very high quality, we liked it. Entertainment of course in the hotel is not enough. When it got boring we took day trips. By the way, for several years in a row we have been taking tours from the same guys from the Avitip company, the organization and attitude towards the client are always on top, and the price tag is the most adequate compared to others. We especially like the guide Elena. Here is her contact +66958566736, maybe someone will come in handy. Of the unpleasant moments, there is nothing special to highlight. In general, everything is very worthy, I recommend.

We were in this hotel in December 2017 (I don’t know why the application doesn’t let me choose 2017) and realized that we will return here from time to time! Now I don’t remember how long the trip from the airport to the hotel took, because at that moment it didn’t matter to me at all) but about 40 minutes, probably for sure. Well, the hotel is not big, not a large territory, but this is only a plus, because there is not a huge number of tourists. The hotel is located away from Patong, from perpetual motion,so for those who want to relax in silence - 100% suitable. At the same time, if there is a desire to hang out, then there is a taxi, tuk-tuk or bike rental, if you know how to drive. We only had breakfast at the hotel. The choice is not huge, but quite decent: fruits, cereals, pastries, jams, eggs in different versions, water, coffee, tea, juices. In general, there is something to choose from and you will not go hungry. The room overlooked the bay itself and this, of course, is a gorgeous view, it is worth its extra charge (initially from Moscow I paid extra for a room with a view). The room is spacious and clean. Everything worked and there were no complaints. Upon request, they brought an ironing board and took it away, only when they put it near the door, until that moment no one touched it. Cleaning every day and high quality. All scattered items were neatly folded. Yes, we left a small tip, but it was not a pity at all. The bathroom has a standard set - shampoo, shower gel, soap and a bottle of water. There are also small bottles of water in the room, which were replenished or replenished daily. The staff does not speak Russian very well, but understands Russian quite well, so it was not difficult to explain your request. There are 2 ATMs on the territory of the hotel, so if necessary, you can withdraw money if necessary. Within walking distance from the hotel there is a grocery store with everything you need: water, food, cosmetics, cigarettes, alcohol. In the hotel restaurant, you can order dishes of both Asian and European cuisine on the menu, there is also a section for the children's menu, but I can't tell you how big the range of choice is. Also on the territory of the hotel there is a rental of bikes, the price is too high compared to those who are just on the street, but not critical. I caught the Internet in the room, so there were no problems, but personally we bought a SIM card initially in order to be connected to the Internet everywhere and not be tied to wi-fi. The sea is ebb and flow here, so you won’t be able to swim much in the morning, but by about 11 o’clock the water arrives and you can swim at least all night! I will end with where I started - this is the hotel to which I will return on every visit to Phuket!

We were in this hotel in transit on the way to Koh Samui. We arrived early in the morning with a group. Someone is on vacation in this hotel, someone is just for a day, like us. Here, those who came specifically to Tri Trang were settled immediately, they gave a card for breakfast, and we were told to come at 14-00. Naturally without breakfast. After a night flight, we were very tired, but there was nothing to do. They began to look for a luggage room. No information was provided to us, since there are no Russian-speaking staff at the hotel. Wobbler in the end frazzled andsweaty somehow changed clothes and went to the beach to freshen up. What was our surprise when we did not see a single sunbed near the sea! For 4 * it is at least strange. The only plus is that there are no strong waves. The hotel itself is located on a hill, from here there are many steep steps. The number was eventually given in building 4, the first on the hill. The room is good. Opened, but the electricity did not turn on. I had to stomp again at the reception, some how to explain. Something was pasted on the card and everything worked out. In the evening we went to have dinner outside the hotel up the hill and to the right. What a cafe. Almost the only one in the area. They cook well, but the prices are not small. There is no civilization in the area. In the afternoon we still managed to go to the city. The hotel provides a free shuttle service. What we were transported on is more like a cattle truck. Something without doors, with benches along the windows and fans instead of air conditioning! We generally rode back in an open truck with metal crossbars on the sides. Breakfasts. I would say scarce. Snack and nothing more. On another site, more detailed ebbs from Sergei and Igor. Completely agree with them. The hotel is not recommended.
