Everything you need to know about carp killer gear. Making and using crucian carp killer gear in bottom fishing What crucian carp killer gear looks like

But one of them stands out among the others with its original design. For its excellent catchability, it received the name carp killers.

The main part of such gear is special installation with several spring feeders, which is located at the end of the main line.

The carp killer is made taking into account the nutritional characteristics of this fish. Thanks to the special design of the equipment, hooking is not required when fishing with it. Also very popular among fishermen– a smaller version of the carp killer. The design principles and operating principles of these gears are the same.

The carp killer is variety At the end of the main line there are several spring feeders and several leashes with.

Typically, when making such equipment install 3 feeders and 3 leashes, but you can do more or less at your discretion.

Principle of operation carp killers:

  • before being thrown into the water spring feeders are filled with bait, and foam balls are placed on the hooks;
  • carp respond to the smell of the food mixture and starts eating her, while sucking water into the mouth;
  • the hook gets into the fish's mouth, after which it tries to spit it out and is detected.

At the carp killer many advantages, because of which this tackle is worth paying attention to.

  • When fishing with her no cutting required– the fish is detected independently. Thus, you don’t have to constantly be near an abandoned fishing rod waiting for a bite. The fisherman has the opportunity to do other things or just relax in nature. In addition, you can use a large number of gear at the same time, which allows you to increase catches.
  • To make such a tackle , no special rods or. Any that are in stock will do. The main thing is that they are strong enough and can withstand the resistance of large fish.
  • The tackle is quite versatile. In addition to carp and the ones mentioned above, you can also catch other white fish with it. The carp killer works well for bream. Much less often, roach, ide, chub, rudd and tench are caught with it.

This gear also has flaws.

  • carp killer does not attract supporters of active sport fishing. You can see a bite on it only after the fish has been spotted. For this reason, many anglers choose other gear.
  • Due to the fact that there are several leashes with hooks on the equipment at once , the risk of installation tangling increases.
  • Also for the reason that the tackle contains several leashes with hooks; it is not suitable for fishing in all situations. On many reservoirs, bans that are introduced in the spring imply that only one tackle with one hook can be used.
  • Conventionally, the disadvantages include the fact that When fishing with a carp killer, the fish are seriously injured, as it swallows the hook deep. Therefore, it is not suitable for catch-and-release fishing. But it is not designed for such use. Anglers who adhere to the catch-and-release principle choose other, more sporty equipment.

Buy or make it yourself

If you use them, you will have to fish with the load that was chosen by the manufacturer. Besides, ready-made carp killers may not be suitable for certain parameters– length and diameter of leashes, size of hooks, and so on.

Considering the pros and cons of ready-made equipment that are sold in stores, we can definitely say that It’s better to do this installation yourself. This is not difficult to do, and its production will not take much time.

In this case it is possible select any equipment element and its parameters at your own request and as a result, get a carp killer that will ideally meet your requirements and be suitable for fishing in certain conditions.

Do-it-yourself carp killer tackle

To tie this rig, you need to take:

  • a sinker, the weight of which is selected according to the fishing conditions - the greater the strength of the current, the heavier it should be; weights weighing 30-50 g are usually used;
  • swivel with clasp;
  • 3 spring feeders without loading;
  • 3 hooks;
  • a meter of monofilament with a diameter of 0.5 mm or braid with a thickness of 0.2-0.3 mm;
  • rubber stoppers;
  • for making leashes.

To one end of a meter piece of fishing line you need tie a swivel with a clasp, to which the sinker will be attached. Then you need put feeder springs on the thread, securing them with stoppers. The distance between them should be about 10-15 cm. The next step is attach a leash to each feeder about 5 cm long with hook. After this, all that remains is to tie a loop at the end of the fishing line opposite the sinker for attaching to the tackle, and the installation is ready.

Important! The distance between the feeders, as well as the length of the leashes, can be changed at your discretion. Constant experiments allow us to determine the most catchy gear design. At the same time, the length of the leashes should always be selected in such a way that they cannot get confused with each other. For example, if the leashes are located at a distance of 15 cm from each other, the length of each of them together with the hook should not exceed 7.5 cm.

Lure

font-weight: 400;">mastyrka;

  • hominy;
  • porridge.
  • Mastyrka is a delicious bait made from peas and semolina. To prepare it, you need to take:

    • 1 part pea flour;
    • 1 part semolina;
    • 2 parts water;
    • 1 teaspoon unrefined sunflower oil.

    To get pea flour, just pass the peas through a coffee grinder and then sift. Large parts that remain in the sieve must be ground in a coffee grinder again.

    It is better to prepare mastyrka for fishing with carp killer tackle in a water bath:

    • you need to pour the pea flour and semolina into a small saucepan;
    • pour water over them and mix thoroughly;
    • then you need to put the saucepan in another, larger saucepan with water;
    • bring to a boil and cook for about 25 minutes.

    Then You need to take the mastyrka out of the pan and knead it with your hands, until it becomes dense and elastic. After this, all that remains is to add vegetable oil, as well as, if desired, flavoring, and The bait for catching carp and carp is ready.

    Hominy
    - This is a nozzle based on . To prepare it you need to take:

    • 3 parts corn flour;
    • 1 part wheat flour;
    • and flavorings - you can use honey, chocolate, sugar and so on;

    To prepare hominy for fishing with carp killer tackle, necessary:

    • lightly fry corn and wheat flour;
    • pour them into one container and slowly pour water over them, stirring constantly, until the hominy acquires the consistency of thick sour cream;
    • place the future bait in a plastic bag, put it in another bag, tie it and cook the resulting bag for about 40 minutes.

    Another option - prepare porridge with millet for carp killer fishing. For this you will need:

    • 1 part millet;
    • 1 part pea cereal (it is better to grind it by passing it through a meat grinder);
    • 4 parts water;
    • 2 tablespoons unrefined sunflower oil.

    To cook this porridge, necessary:

    • pour water into the pan and bring to a boil;
    • pour millet and peas into it;
    • cook, stirring constantly, 3-5 minutes;
    • pour sunflower oil into the porridge and mix thoroughly again;
    • Remove the pan from the stove, wrap it in a blanket and leave to cool.

    Nozzles

    Lures are not usually placed on a hook
    . The foam ball that is placed on it provides buoyancy to this element of the equipment, and the fish easily draws it into itself. But you can put some bait on it. The best ones for this are:

    • corn;
    • peas;
    • pearl barley;
    • maggot;
    • worm;

    These the baits hold well on the hook and do not fly off during long casts.

    Features of fishing techniques

    There is nothing complicated in the technique of catching carp killer. After arriving at the pond you need to choose a place and throw the equipment into it, after which all that remains is to wait for bites.

    When fishing with a carp killer, determine when the fish came to the smell of bait and began to eat it, as a rule, is impossible. After it is hooked, there is usually a strong jerk, after which the line sags. When did it happen, you can start fishing.

    Attention! Carp is a strong fish that can easily drag all the gear into the water. Therefore, in order to leave the tackle unattended on the shore, you must either use a reel with a baitrunner, or tie the main line to trees or other objects located on the shore.

    Some people fish with a carp killer in a completely passive way.. In this case, you can throw the gear into the water and not monitor it at all, periodically, once an hour or less, checking it and pulling out the hooked fish. But then the catches will be smaller, since after self-cutting, it can free itself from the hook.

    How to make the “Carp Killer” tackle. Modernized elastic dong

    This tackle is used in feeder fishing, although it is considered not sporting due to the peculiarities of its use. The fact is that the equipment is designed in such a way that bites are not fully transmitted to the tip of the feeder. This is due to the fact that the gear includes 3 feeders and a sinker, which the fish are not able to budge, especially such as crucian carp. As a result of the resistance provided, the fish hooks itself. This factor is decisive in determining its lack of sportiness.

    The philosophy of sport fishing lies in the moment the angler hooks the fish, taking the bait into his mouth. The moment of the bite is transmitted to the tip of the rod or another bite alarm. The fisherman’s task is to determine the moment of the bite and make a hook. This kind of fishing is sport.

    Advantages of crucian carp killer gear

    1. With 3 feeders, there is no need to frequently feed the biting point.
    2. The presence of 3 hooks increases the probability of catching fish by 3 times.
    3. It can be used for fishing not only for crucian carp, but also for bream, roach, carp, carp, etc.

    Disadvantages of equipment

    1. Low sensitivity does not allow you to determine the moment of a bite. The tip of the rod can only signal the fact that a fish has been caught, and then only large specimens.
    2. There is a high probability of intertwining of leashes with hooks, as well as feeders. With proper installation, this probability can be minimized.
    3. Irrational use of feeders and leashes with hooks. Ideally, one feeder and one leash with a hook are enough. If the fishing process is well organized, one feeder can be used quite effectively.

    An equipment such as a paternoster, which is quite sensitive when fishing on a muddy bottom, is ideal for catching crucian carp.

    For fishing in the current, it is better to use a helicopter rig and two knots. This equipment allows the bait to be located at some distance from the bottom, which makes it very noticeable to crucian carp.

    Having analyzed the advantages and disadvantages, we can immediately say that crucian carp killer tackle not suitable for biting small specimens. Weak bites will not be able to transfer to the tip of the rod. This means that fishing will be carried out almost blindly, and the time the gear remains in the water will be determined by the time the food is washed out of the feeders. By pulling the tackle out of the water, you can check for the presence of fish on the hook.

    How to make the “Crucian Killer” tackle with your own hands

    Such tackle can be purchased at a fishing store, but you can make it yourself. As a rule, most fishermen make their own gear, just for fun.

    To do this, you should purchase the following items:

    • Monofilament fishing line, diameter 0.3mm.
    • Weight with an eye (from 30 to 5 g).
    • Carabiner with swivel.
    • Feeders of the “spring” type without loading.
    • Hooks, depending on the proposed prey. Large hooks should not be used for crucian carp.

    Installation of gear in stages:

    1. The swivel with a snap hook should be attached to the sinker.
    2. Spring-type feeders are connected to each other with pieces of fishing line 7-10 cm long. The “springs” may have through holes through which the fishing line is pulled. Rubber stoppers are installed between the feeders, and the feeders should not dangle. If there are no through holes, then the feeders are tightly connected to each other, using, for example, a “clinch” knot.
    3. A small loop is formed at the end of the main line.
    4. Leashes with hooks, 3-5 cm long, are attached to the feeders. It is better to use fluocarbon, since it is hardly noticeable in the water and the crucian carp will try the bait without any alertness.

    This tackle, like all feeders, is intended for feeder (bottom) fishing. The technique is practically the same, but the differences lie in the type of gear used.

    Feeding strictly one point:

    1. To begin with, they feed a certain point in the water area of the reservoir. To do this, you should choose such a place by studying the bottom topography using a weight attached to a fishing line. This is if fishing is done in an unfamiliar body of water, but in a familiar body of water the fishermen know every hole, every hillock.
    2. The tackle is thrown into a clearly defined place, focusing on a characteristic object located on the opposite bank. After casting, the rod rests on the stand, after which the line is pulled up and fixed on the reel clip.
    3. All subsequent casts will be made to the same place, thanks to the fixation of the fishing line. At the same time, you should master the technique of casting tackle with a fixed line, otherwise the tackle can be torn off or the rod broken. Casting should be soft and calculated. At the moment of impact, when all the line is exhausted, you need to move the rod forward to soften the blow. After this, the fishing rod is placed on the stand and a bite is expected.

    In the spring-autumn period, the fish gives preference to baits of animal origin, such as a worm, maggot, bloodworms, etc. In the summer heat, crucian carp can be interested in baits of plant origin, these can be: corn, pearl barley, bread, peas, etc.

    Particular attention should be paid to the preparation of bait, on which the entire outcome of the fishing may depend. In order not to bother, you can buy a ready-made dry mixture and just add water. You can mix homemade preparations and the finished mixture. The result could be much better. The main thing is that the mixture works and attracts crucian carp. Moreover, attracting crucian carp is not a problem - the problem is keeping it in the biting place for a long time, and it is unlikely to be possible to do this without properly prepared bait.

    After casting the tackle, all that remains is to wait for bites. If there are no bites, then the tackle should be re-thrown, since the bait is washed out of the feeders and the next portion needs to be served. If there are no further bites, you can experiment with baits. Considering the fact that the tackle has three hooks, you can attach a separate bait to each hook: a worm on one, corn on the other, and maggot on the third. Thus, you can find out which bait the crucian carp prefers at the moment.

    As can be seen from the description, do crucian carp killer tackle It’s not difficult, even on your own, the main thing is to have all the necessary elements at hand. It is much more difficult to catch fish with this tackle, especially since you can catch any fish. The presence of 3 feeders makes it not as practical as conventional feeder gear with a “Method” type feeder. The presence of a thick fishing line makes it not so “throwing”, but with a thin fishing line, throwing three feeders, and even a sinker, is quite problematic. The sinker here plays the role of an additional element of gear that prevents the feeders from overlapping during flight.

    The effectiveness of the tackle will depend on many factors, including the consistency of the bait. Incorrectly mixed bait will not be able to fully fulfill its purpose. At the same time, it should also be remembered that the fisherman’s task is not to feed the fish, but to do everything so that it develops an appetite. For this, as a rule, one feeder is enough. The density of the bait should be different when fishing in the current and in still water. The bait should be washed out of the feeder in no more than 5 minutes. Therefore, we can safely say that bottom (feeder) fishing is active fishing and you won’t be bored near the fishing rod.

    In other words, this is an interesting type of active recreation, to which there is practically no alternative. And it is not surprising that on weekends, the banks of large and small rivers, ponds, and lakes are literally “strewn” with fishermen.

    What does crucian carp killer tackle look like?

    Visually, the tackle looks like a tram with 3 springs and hooks attached to one common base. A feeder must be mounted on oval cylindrical springs. A leash with a hook is attached to each of them.

    Usually a single feeder and a pair of leashes are enough for catchy fishing. The number of elements in the tackle depends entirely on the activation of the bite, as well as the skillful use of the killer from Mikhalych.

    How to make a killer from Mikhalych with your own hands?

    The tackle gained relevance due to the possibility of self-production. Of course, some fishermen prefer to buy ready-made ones in the store.

    However, a piece of the soul is put into such homemade products and Mikhalych’s killer can be made in different ways, especially since it has already proven its effectiveness in practice, as a catchy and easy-to-use design. Use a fluorocarbon line that is invisible on the water; crucian carp will be more willing to take bait.

    To make it yourself, stock up on:

    • monofilament fishing line;
    • swivel with clasp;
    • hooks, depending on the size of the intended prey, swallowing the hook, for example, crucian carp, should be done completely;
    • a sinker with an eye;
    • The feeder is springy, but without loading. All equipment is mounted on a piece of braided cord up to 70 cm in length.
    1. Attach a swivel with a sinker to the base.
    2. Secure the knot (stopper), string the bead, stepping back from the swivel up to 15 cm.
    3. Sand 3 feeders in this way and attach the swivel to the clasp at the end of the base.
    4. Secure up to 7 cm of the leash with beads and a spring.
    5. Maintain the distance between the hooks so that there is no overlap when casting.

    Any bait on a hook for crucian carp will do.

    Many fishermen use foam. Roll it into a ball, press it in, mix it with the feed mixture and fill the feeder with it.

    To make a feeder:

    • on a metal rod wind the copper wire in a spiral;
    • wind up to 12 turns, bite off the rod with wire cutters;
    • for the feeder core use an empty helium pen refill and also wrap either end of the spiral around the rod. Do the same with the other end. As a result, we got a spiral with a heart inside. To fix the spring, melt the edge of the rod to obtain a flat mushroom.

    Leashes no longer than 7 cm are tied to feeders. When tying them with your own hands, use thin braided fishing line up to 0.12 mm in diameter. The hook will fit 6,7, 8 numbers.

    Advantages of a crucian killer

    The crucian carp killer can be made in different ways, from simple materials at hand, this is one of its main advantages.

    The gear has many advantages:

    1. Possibility of attaching several hooks at once next to complementary foods, which means several types of bait at the same time.
    2. With several feeders, feeding the area will go faster and you can hope to attract more fish.
    3. Fishing with this gear is possible at depth, even in inclement weather, thanks to the heavy feeder. She is quite capable of overcoming depths and winds.
    4. Replacing baits and lures expands your fishing options. In addition to crucian carp, other fish may also swim up: crucian carp, bream, carp, roach, carp.

    Do-it-yourself production makes it possible to make tackle taking into account your own preferences and install it immediately for different fishing conditions.

    Disadvantages of equipment

    The disadvantages of the crucian carp killer include:

    • low bite sensitivity. The disadvantage can be eliminated by making sliding tackle;
    • equipment overlaps, since a large number of hooks are used when installing the feeder wiring. To eliminate discomfort, you need to measure all distances when installing gear more accurately;
    • heaviness of the gear. A feeder rod is not suitable for casting, but you can catch it with a donkey.

    Good to know

    1. When using springs of equal weight do not hang a weight on their ends. It is better to attach only at the tip of one last spring, this way the equipment will not get tangled and will lie flat on the bottom.
    2. Place a different food on each spring. Thus increase the chances of attracting crucian carp.
    3. Crumpled complementary foods should not dissolve in water, so add more binders when kneading. This way the crucian carp will be able to suck on them. You can add a little clay or rolled oats to the mixture.
    4. When making gear, it is necessary to follow certain rules. There should be as few knots as possible, otherwise the tackle will turn out weak. When using a spring without a weight at the end, attach the heaviest weight to the end. This way, the tackle will not become tangled; it will lie more evenly on the bottom.

    How to increase the catch of crucian carp?

    1. To increase the catch, bite activators are widely used with pheramones. Fish responds well to such additives in any weather and water temperature. Today, unfortunately, activators are prohibited for sale, so again you need to think in advance about your methods for attracting fish.
    2. Add attractants to complementary foods. FishHungry has proven itself well for baiting fish. Individuals quickly develop a voracious appetite.
    3. The bite will be better, if each spring is equipped with two hooks. If there is no bite on hooks No. 7, then replace them with No. 5. Maybe a small fish has approached and simply cannot swallow the hook. When changing hooks, there is a high probability of an improvement in the bite.

    The equipment is suitable for catching large crucian carp. When using three feeders, feeding the fish will be much faster. You can also make one feeder, but larger. In summer, maggot, bread, pearl barley, and corn are suitable for bait.

    Its effectiveness has been tested in practice by many experienced fishermen. Up to 100 individuals can be caught with a good bite, and not only crucian carp. There is bleak, bream, roach, rudd, carp, carp.

    The tackle is successful for bottom fishing. When it reaches the bottom, the crucian carp hooks itself. And this is the key to successful fishing, which is what I would like to wish for every angler.

    Tackle structure

    The crucian carp killer is made and sold in two main versions - solid and sliding:

    • Silent option. On a thick fishing line from 0.3 to 0.5 millimeters in diameter, several spring feeders are sequentially attached (from two to five, but most often - three). Moreover, these springs can be loaded or not. In the second case, an additional weight is attached to the end of the equipment. A short, from four to seven centimeters, leash with a small crucian carp hook is attached to each of the springs.
    • Sliding option. There is one sliding feeder at the end of the tackle. It rests on a swivel protected by a safety bead, to which a short leash is attached, or a yoke for two leashes, with a hook. Another pair of leashes is located between the stop beads above the feeder. This tackle is more sensitive than deaf tackle, because when biting, the signal is transmitted directly to the rod.

    However, there are various combinations of these tackles on sale, differing in the number of feeders, leashes, the presence or absence of rocker arms and metal bends.

    Let's list all the advantages of the gear:

    1. One of the advantages that the crucian carp killer has is the presence of several hooks in close proximity to the bait. This allows you to try several types of bait at once at the initial stage of fishing.
    2. The presence of several feeders allows you to feed the fishing point faster and more abundantly and attract more fish.
    3. The ability to fish in deep places and in bad weather, since the heavy load allows you to “break through” both the wind and the depth.
    4. Multitasking is also inherent in the crucian killer, because by varying the bait and bait, you can catch any white fish: carp, carp, roach, bream, and so on. By the way, some authors and fishermen call the tackle a “carp killer.”
    5. It’s easy to make the equipment yourself, and when making it, take into account your own preferences and even invent a unique installation for different fishing conditions.

    Flaws

    There are also plenty of disadvantages to this type of gear:

    1. The main drawback is the low bite sensitivity, although if you make the equipment sliding, this drawback is slightly leveled out.
    2. Difficulty in casting gear. In addition to the fact that a large number of feeders makes the tackle heavier, casting with an elegant feeder rod becomes impossible, although a simple club-shaped bottom can easily cope with this task.
    3. There is a high probability of equipment overlap due to the large number of elements: leashes, hooks and feeders. But if you do the installation carefully, measuring all the distances, this trouble can be reduced to zero, so that you don’t experience discomfort later when fishing.

    We improve the tackle with our own hands

    To make fishing successful and comfortable, you need to make a crucian carp killer with your own hands or change the design of the equipment made in the factory and purchased at a fishing store. Let's say that we already have feeders, sinkers and leashes. We begin production of the installation.

    1. If our feeders are not loaded, then we tie a weight to the end of the fishing line. For standing water, an olive with a swivel weighing twenty grams is enough.
    2. We put on a stop bead 10 centimeters above the load.
    3. We pass the fishing line through the tube of the first feeder, as with inline feeder installation.
    4. We place the second bead so that the feeder has a free movement of at least five centimeters.
    5. We put on the lower stopper for the second feeder.
    6. We put up a second feeder and do similar things for subsequent feeders.
    7. We tie leashes four centimeters long with self-tightening loops above each feeder.

    Now, when casting the tackle and tensioning it, the feeders will move towards the upper stoppers and leash assemblies. The hooks will end up directly in the area of the eroding bait. The bite from the hooks will be transmitted directly to the donkey alarm due to inline installation.

    Groundbait and bait

    In order for the tackle to work successfully, when preparing the bait, you need to slightly increase its viscosity so that it does not immediately crumble in spots along the bottom, but falls off in pieces. To do this, rolled oats flakes scalded with boiling water or another binder are added to its composition. An excellent effect when fishing with a “crucian killer” tackle will be achieved by adding bait or attachment to the groundbait porridge.

    Thanks to the presence of several hooks, you can try a number of baits or baits at once. When using the crucian carp killer gear, you can use:

    • dung worm;
    • maggot;
    • dough;
    • barley;
    • corn;
    • peas;
    • semolina;
    • bread.

    If the bait is made more dense and does not crumble, then the tackle will resemble a “pacifier” for carp fishing. In this case, the hooks with the nozzle are pressed into the spring, and the tackle begins to work as a carp killer. The fish approaches a large piece of porridge and begins to savor it, after which it sucks in the hook with the nozzle and a bite occurs.

    Other killers

    It is necessary to tell you that the title “crucian carp killer” was also worn by other types of donkey equipment. These are the so-called nipples, one of which was made on the basis of a spring feeder, and the second was made from a cork from a large plastic bottle or canister and a lead plate. Both of these nipples were equipped with several hooks and filled with dense, tasty porridge, which ensured successful carp and crucian carp fishing.

    Pacifier

    Making an installation with a spring nipple:

    1. We put a stopper on the end of the main line.
    2. Then we install the spring feeder using the inline method.
    3. We install the second stopper, leaving about five centimeters of free play.
    4. We tie a swivel with a carabiner.
    5. We knit three leashes: one to the carbine, two to the top of the feeder.

    When casting a nipple, we hide the hooks with the nozzle in the porridge.

    Fishing for crucian carp on a feeder in early spring: equipment, bait, bait When crucian carp bites - the best time of year, month and time of day
    Fishing for crucian carp in the spring - the secrets and subtleties of fishing with a float rod

    This gear is not poaching, but I recommend asking how many hooks can be used by one fisherman in total. I place no more than five balabaikas - placed with one hook - the limit allowed in our area for one person.

    Perhaps the only significant drawback of fishing with this gear is that you need a fairly large amount of peas. The fish must be constantly fed and accustomed to the place. The same peas are used as bait as for bait.

    Most of the bait will be immediately picked up by smaller and more nimble fish: roach, chub, small crucian carp. So there is no need to skimp on peas - in one fishing trip I use about half a ten-liter bucket, and sometimes more.

    First, let's decide on the location. Let's say you are sure that there are carp in your favorite place. Then it is necessary to at least superficially study the bottom topography, find holes, and find out where exactly the channel runs.

    If you are the happy owner of an echo sounder, great. Look for holes, large stones, study the location of the riverbed. There is a rock ridge, more than two meters deep, many holes, and the river makes a sharp turn in this place - one of the ideal options. You can’t go fishing in a place like this with a spinning rod – there are a lot of hooks, but we can put our gear where we need it.

    So, we take gear, peas, and a landing net into the boat (rarely, but it happens that a bite follows literally within five minutes). The peas should be cooked so that they can be spread with a little effort with your fingers - not hard, but not too soft.

    We put two peas on the hook, leaving the sting (this is very important) bare, about 3-4 millimeters. We place the gear in the chosen places, do not forget to fix the fishing line, and pour two or three full handfuls of peas onto each float as bait.

    I try to throw the peas in a path, slightly higher and lower downstream. The one that is thrown higher is carried by the current directly to the hook, and the one that is lower lures the fish to the hook, where it begins to feed.

    It is difficult not to notice a bite on a balabaika - if the fish is detected, it begins to drag the tackle along with it. Having caught up with the float, you should not immediately try to drag the carp into the boat - if it feels resistance, the fish will make a powerful jerk. At this time, you should loosen the line, you can simply throw the float back into the water.

    Next, you need to try to carefully and gradually pull the fish to the surface, holding the fishing line with one hand, and with the other, dip the landing net into the water and bring the fish into it. When the carp gets into the landing net, it usually stops offering any resistance. However, you shouldn’t pull the fish out of the landing net right in the boat and try to free the hook - we take everything as it is and swim to the shore.

    And finally, how to keep the caught fish alive before leaving. For this, it is best to use an ordinary rope 3-4 meters long. We take one end of the rope, bring it out of the carp's gill cover through the mouth, bring the end through the second gill cover and bring it back through the mouth.

    We tie a knot at the mouth. We tie a rope to some tree, stone or stake and release the carp into the pond. Tied in this way, the carp will swim freely and will not fall asleep.

    There are a great many designs of nipples for carp. And since it is simply impossible to imagine such tackle on sale, the vast majority of it is homemade.

    A pitiful percentage are the same homemade products, but in colorful packaging and proudly labeled “Made in China.” They say that even with its help you can return home burdened with a decent catch.

    What can we say about domestic ones, which are done conscientiously - they do it for themselves.

    One of the most successful designs of homemade nipples for carp combines a nipple and a spring-type feeder

    The spring itself is made of stainless wire 1-1.5 mm in diameter by winding it onto a 10 mm bolt with five or six turns. First you need to bend a small ring at one end. The distance between the ring and the spring spirals is 4-5 cm. Just bite off the excess wire with pliers and stretch the spring a little - the base is ready.

    Hooks for leashes must be forged, No. 6 or 7. Leashes are made of thin nylon cord. The fishing line for such gear is too harsh. When playing, the braid tends to get tangled (very often this ends up; you have to cut it off). Two hooks are attached to each leash.

    To assemble the tackle, you need to assemble all the leashes with hooks together, tie the leashes so that the knot is in the middle. Then divide the top loop into two half-loops, fold them together, put them through the ring onto the pin of the feeder and tighten them at the beginning of the spring. The hooks themselves are inserted in a spiral into the feeder and brought out. In this case, the leash assembly should be located just below the outermost coil of the spring.

    To equip the bait, you need to cover the entire spring with prepared food. You should get a ball with a diameter of 4-6 cm, like a small tangerine. The free ends of the leashes with hooks must be brought from the bottom to the top, to the pin of the feeder, evenly throughout the entire ball.

    To camouflage the hook, it is enough to hide its sting in the stern and, by prying it up, the forend can be left sticking out.

    Once connected to the carabiner, the carp teat is ready for use.

    Isn't it simple? But, it turns out, there are designs that are, as they say, outrageously simple, based on a scoop. This is the name of a spoon with a handle cut off to a half-centimeter tail. Just not made of aluminum or tin - they are too light for this purpose. Stainless steel or cupronickel alloy are suitable.

    The top hole is made in the tail of the cutting. Five others - along the perimeter of the lower edge of the scoop, at a distance of 3-4 mm from the edge.

    Wire loops are tied or soldered to them, and leashes with hooks are attached to them. It is better to pass one wire along the concave side of the scoop - this way the bait is better retained in it.

    Foam balls are attached to the hooks themselves, making it easier to remove the bait.

    Such a simple nipple for carp unexpectedly turns out to have a number of advantages. When casting, thanks to its aerodynamic shape, the equipped tackle goes not only far, but also exactly to the target.

    When diving, the scoop always sinks to the bottom with the metal part down, so the bait with hooks rises appetizingly above the silt. When fishing begins, the scoop behaves like a spoon, which reduces the load on the tackle and gives the angler an additional advantage.

    At the same time, leashes with hooks get tangled much less than in other designs.

    Sliding float equipment. Read about this in our article. And in this article about the leash for a float fishing rod.

    Even the simplest gear such as a nipple places serious demands on the bait for the feeder. Judge for yourself: the above-mentioned “plasticine” look is necessary for the nipple to “work” for a long time; the most successful recipes can last in water for seven to twelve hours.

    But the bait should not be too sticky, otherwise the hooks will get firmly stuck in it. And too hard too: when cast, such a bait will simply break on the surface of the water.

    The bait of the required consistency is obtained from millet boiled in a water bath. This is necessary to avoid burning of the porridge, because the burnt smell will scare away the carp and its relatives for a long time. The readiness of millet is determined by the ease with which the grains are kneaded between the fingers. Cooked millet is ground with a pestle into a homogeneous mass, and its desired density is achieved by adding semolina.

    Carp is a very strong and cunning fish. There are a lot of people who want to catch this fish, but special equipment is needed to hunt for carp.

    The tackle, which is called a carp killer, is an improved type of tackle of an ordinary feeder load-feeder. There is a huge variety of such gear, so you need to carefully study all the nuances so as not to stumble upon non-functional gear in the store.

    But you can also make such equipment yourself. The main feature of the killer tackle is that in this case a large number of hooks and a load of feeders are used.

    The entire variety of these gears is conditionally divided into 2 types:

    • Blind - feeders are fixedly attached to the main fishing line using stop beads. This option is relevant when tensioning of the equipment is expected.
    • Sliding - feeders can move within sections of the main fishing line, limited by stopper beads. This option is knitted to protect against slippage when the equipment is expected to sag.

    The rest are original and more specific varieties of the first or second type.

    The killer of crucian carp and crucian carp is made with your own hands like this:

    • Place the springs through the tubes onto the main fishing line so that they are located at a distance of 30-40 cm from each other.
    • You fix each of these feeders with locking beads, either immediately at its ends (with a blind rig), or leaving 10-15 cm for movement (with a sliding rig).
    • Attach leashes with hooks to each spring - you can simply make a reliable knot or fix them on carabiners.
    • Attach a weight to one end of the rig, and a swivel with a latch to the other.

    The resulting homemade killer of crucian carp and crucian carp is attached to the main line of the feeder or other fishing rod used, after which it is thrown into the pond using a reel. As bait for hooks, you should use not only a worm, corn and other popular plant and animal options, but also colored foam for better visibility.

    Tackle structure

    “Crucian carp killer” tackle can be bought in stores. It is divided into:

    1. Silent option. Three feeder springs-feeders connected by fishing line up to 0.5 mm. Leashes with hooks are attached to springs. You can also attach additional weight there. The length of the leash should not exceed 7 centimeters.
    2. Sliding option. The feeder is secured with a bead, and a small leash with two hooks is knitted nearby. As a rule, several more leaders can be placed above the feeder next to the stop beads. This type of gear is considered more sensitive than the first, since the biting signal is immediately transmitted to the rod. We will also discuss the manufacture of the sliding version in this article.

    Advantages

    How to do it yourself?

    3 spring feeders without weighting (this is a must!);

    3 hooks. The size depends on the size of the intended fish, the smaller the better;

    Sinker weighing 30-50 g;

    Mono line with a diameter of 0.3 mm;

    1. The sinker is attached to the swivel, so it is better if it has an eye.
    2. A spring is tied to the swivel with fishing line. The distance between them is 8-10 cm. It is better to choose feeders with a tube. In this case, the fishing line is passed through, and rubber stoppers at the edges will limit the movement of the spring along it. In any case, the spring should not move freely along the line.
    3. 2 more feeders are attached in the same way. The distance from each other is also 8-10 cm.
    4. At the end, a small leash with a loop is knitted in a figure-eight knot. Instead of a loop, you can attach another small swivel at the end of the tackle. This will allow you to easily change the equipment and reduce the likelihood of tangling.
    5. A hook on a leash about 4 cm long is attached to each feeder. It is better to use flucarbon fishing line - it merges with the bottom and is not visible to the fish.

    The manufacture of gear should be approached responsibly. Due to the abundance of elements, the likelihood of tangling increases, so careful selection of components and maintaining the required distance will reduce the chance of overlap to zero.

    Making this gear will not be difficult. To install the crucian carp killer we will need:

    • 2-3 springs (for feeder fishing);
    • 2-3 hooks (No. 8-6);
    • 1m. fishing line Ø0.4-0.5 or cord Ø0.2-0.3;
    • rubber stoppers;
    • leash line, thread;
    • cargo;
    • swivel with latch.

    It is advisable to find springs with a tube inside through which we pass the main fishing line. We fix each spring with rubber stoppers at a distance of 10 -15 cm.

    We tie a weight to the end of the main line (we select the weight to suit the test rod). We tie a leash with a hook to each spring (the leash is 3-5 cm long).

    We knit a swivel with a latch to the other end of the main fishing line. Now let's look at all this in a short video clip.

    3. We pass the fishing line through the tube of the first feeder, as in feeder installation online.

    Now, when casting the tackle and tensioning it, the feeders will move towards the upper stops and leash assemblies. The hooks will end up directly in the area of the eroding bait. The bite from the hooks will be transmitted directly to the donkey alarm due to inline installation.

    The principle of operation of the gear is simple. The feeder is filled with various complementary foods and mastyrka. You need to stick a hook into each lump. When the fish approaches, it will start feeding, and at this time the hook will stick into its mouth. It will be noticeable when the equipment begins to twitch. So it’s time to pull it along with the crucian carp to the shore.

    To make it yourself, stock up on:

    • monofilament fishing line;
    • swivel with clasp;
    • hooks, depending on the size of the intended prey, swallowing the hook, for example, crucian carp, should be done completely;
    • a sinker with an eye;

    How to catch more fish? I have been active fishing for quite some time and have found many ways to improve the bite. And here are the most effective:
    Bite activator.

    Attracts fish in cold and warm water with the help of pheromones included in the composition and stimulates its appetite. It is a pity that Rosprirodnadzor wants to impose a ban on its sale. More sensitive gear.

    Reviews and instructions for other types of gear can be found on the pages of my website. Lures using pheromones.

    You can get the rest of the secrets of successful fishing for free by reading my other materials on the site.

    • wind copper wire in a spiral onto a metal rod;
    • wind up to 12 turns, bite off the rod with wire cutters;
    • for the core of the feeder, use an empty core from a helium pen, and also wrap either end of the spiral around the rod.

    To catch this fish, you need to have an idea of how to make the most correct tackle for carp. The carp fish is suspicious and difficult, so to get it, you need to try.

    This kind of gear is easy to make. There are two types of this equipment: blind and sliding.

    For deaf fish, you should purchase three feeder weights for one tackle and secure them to a braided rope or a very thick fishing line, the distance between them should be about 20-30 centimeters from each other.

    Of course, the size of the hooks also depends on the size of the carp, but an important point should be taken into account: it is better to use smaller hooks than large ones.

    And for sliding, it is necessary to use lead pellets as sliding boundaries on both sides of the feeder weight.

    In order to make such tackle with our own hands, we will need:

    • 2 or 3 hooks;
    • Rubber stops;
    • 2-3 springs, which are intended for feeder fishing;
    • 1 meter of fishing line or cord;
    • Swivel with latch;
    • And the cargo.

    How to do it right - step by step instructions:

    1. It will be best if you find springs that have a tube inside. We pass the main fishing line through this tube. It is necessary to secure each spring with rubber stoppers, the distance between which should be about 10-15 centimeters.
    2. To test the rod, you need to select the weight, namely, attach a weight to the end of the main fishing line. A leash with a hook must be attached to each spring. The length of the leash itself should be approximately five centimeters.
    3. At the other end of the main line we knit a swivel with a latch.

    The process of making crucian carp killer tackle does not require special skills or the ability to knit complex knots. On the contrary, the fewer connected sections there are, the more reliable the installation will be. You can make a crucian carp killer in 10-20 minutes, especially if you have all the ingredients available. For this you will need:

    • 2-3 spring feeders;
    • hooks No. 8-6;
    • fishing line 0.4-0.5 mm;
    • rubber stoppers;
    • driving material;
    • cargo;
    • swivel and carabiner.

    The length of crucian carp killer fishing tackle varies, but rarely exceeds 50-60 cm. To make it, a 1 m long fishing line is first cut. A lead weight is tied to one end, the weight of which is selected depending on the test of the rod. After which the stopper is threaded. It moves across the entire line and is installed approximately 10-15 cm from the load.

    Fishing with a carp or crucian killer tackle involves the use of spring-type feeders with a tube in the center. When the first stopper is on and installed, the feeder is put on after it.

    As soon as it rests against the stopper, it should be secured on the other side with an additional rubber band. After retreating another 10-15 cm, a third stopper is placed.

    The second feeder rests against it, which should also be tightened. As a result, you will be able to put on three springs, secured by six stoppers.

    At the remaining free end of the fishing line, a swivel with a carabiner is tied. This is done using a regular loop, made twice for reliability.

    In order for the knot to tighten well, it should be moistened. The carp killer already has an almost finished look and all that remains is to attach the hooks.

    To do this, three pieces of leader material about 20 cm long are cut off. A hook is tied to each of them with a standard bayonet knot.

    At the second end of the resulting blanks, you should tie a loop at a distance of 7 cm from the hook. The leashes are attached to the feeder tube using the noose method. As you can see, you can make crucian carp killer tackle very easily and quickly, and the installation is reliable.

    Advice! If you have a rod with a low test weight, you can discard the sinker and place the first feeder of a larger size. In this case, when casting, it will fly in front and the tackle will not get tangled.

    Advantages and disadvantages

    The advantages include the following:

    1. The tackle consists of 4 hooks that are located near the bait, thereby allowing you to try different types of bait and increasing the chances of catching crucian carp.
    2. Different types of feeders can immediately feed the biting point and attract crucian carp.
    3. The tackle allows you to fish both in deep reservoirs and in bad weather, thanks to the heavy load.
    4. With this bait you can catch larger fish (for example, carp and carp).
    5. The structure of the tackle is not difficult, and it is made with your own hands. And, taking into account your preferences, you can even invent tackle for different fishing methods.
    6. Allows you to make fewer casts of the fishing rod.

    Among the disadvantages of this gear are:

    1. Poor bite sensitivity, so fishing may seem boring;
    2. Difficulty in casting due to several feeders, which weigh down the tackle;
    3. There are problems with replacing weights.

    All of the above disadvantages cause an unsporting bite, and it is important for a good fisherman to see the fish “sitting” on the hook so that it can be caught without problems.

    For successful fishing, you can change the design of the gear or make it yourself. Since the variety of crucian carp killer is not very different from the original, changing it does not take long. The classic tackle “crucian carp killer”, also known as “from Mikhalych”, is extremely simple to make. This is exactly what we will do.

    The fishing line is chosen with a thickness of up to 0.4 mm, the sinker should be lead weighing 100 grams, as well as small hooks and several feeders. If you have sinkers, leashes and feeders, follow the following instructions:

    1. You need to tie a weight to the tip of the fishing line.
    2. Place a bead over the weight.
    3. Thread a fishing line through the feeder.
    4. The second bead must be placed so that the feeder has an outlet of several centimeters.
    5. Place the lower stopper on the other feeder.
    6. Do similar options for all the feeders that are available in the fishing tackle.
    7. Tie the leashes into loops and tighten them just above each feeder.
    8. Instead of a leash, you can use an elastic band.

    Do not use beads that are too bright or of unnatural colors; they will only scare away the crucian carp. Do not make the leashes on which the hooks are attached too long. The maximum length is 6-8 centimeters, no more. Do not use double or treble hooks.

    Selection of hooks

    Hooks are used to catch fish and attach bait to them. The best option when using the “Crucian Carp Killer” is hooks size No. 4-6. It will be difficult to attach, for example, bloodworms to a large hook size. Hooks with an extended shank are also used.

    The hook consists of:

    • Forend;
    • Podeva;
    • Abalone;
    • Sting with a beard.

    How to choose a sinker

    Depending on the location of the catch and the casting distance, you can select the necessary sinker. For shallow reservoirs, choose a sinker weighing 10 grams. If an angler goes fishing on a boat and is going to make long casts, then in this case a massive sinker weighing from 80 to 100 grams is suitable.

    Feeders

    The bait is delivered to the fishing site by several feeders, therefore, the number of casts for feeding is significantly reduced. Properly prepared bait will not be washed away by water during a dive and will reach the very bottom.

    1. Provides self-hooking of fish, increasing the number of effective bites.
    2. 3 hooks increase the chance of catching fish compared to one.
    3. Thanks to self-hooking of prey, it allows you to successfully fish in bad weather.
    4. Not only carp and crucian carp are successfully caught with killer tackle, but also roach, carp, bream, bleak, and rudd. Some anglers report even small pike being taken.
    1. Low sensitivity. The bite is visible only after the fish is hooked, which reduces the interest of fishing.
    2. A design imperfection that can lead to tangling of the gear.
    3. The tackle is not sporting due to the abundance of feeders and hooks.
    4. Factory-made equipment does not allow you to quickly replace the sinker.
    5. The killer tackle is more intended for fishing for large fish; the bite of small crucians and carp will go unnoticed.

    The undoubted advantages of the crucian carp killer tackle include the following:

    • Makes it possible to fish with several hooks at once, using a large list of baits.
    • Provides better feeding of the point, because the bait is delivered to the fishing site by several feeders.
    • Lures and bait are located close to each other
    • Allows you to fish in adverse weather conditions (rain, strong wind, heat, etc.).
    • It is distinguished by its versatility, i.e. by changing the bait and hook size, you can catch other fish - bream, carp, etc.
    • It is easy to make with your own hands from inexpensive components - fishing line, hooks and a feeder.
    • It has several options for equipment, which allows you to choose an installation that will best suit specific fishing conditions.

    True, there were some downsides. The “crucian carp killer” tackle has the following disadvantages:

    • Slight sensitivity when biting. Of course, fishing with a sliding version of the equipment is more informative, but compared to a feeder, the difference is still obvious. Therefore, in order for the fish to hook itself more often, it is necessary to make leashes from a braided cord.
    • Difficulty when casting. A large rig consisting of several feeders and a weight (about a meter long) is quite difficult to throw into the water. This will require some experience and a strong rod with decent test.
    • Noise when casting. Naturally, heavy equipment when it hits the water produces a lot of splashes and splashes, which can scare the fish. Therefore, fishing with this tackle is more successful in deep water areas.

    The disadvantages of the crucian carp killer include:

    • low bite sensitivity. The disadvantage can be eliminated by making sliding tackle;
    • overlaps of equipment, since a large number of hooks are used when installing the feeder wiring. To eliminate discomfort, you need to measure all distances when installing gear more accurately;
    • heaviness of the gear. A feeder rod is not suitable for casting, but you can catch it with a donkey.

    Let's look at the main advantages of this equipment:

    • Instead of catching, complementary food is delivered in several portions at once, so casting for feeding does not need to be done many times.
    • There is a high probability that the bite will occur much faster, since there are a large number of hooks.
    • Convenience, simplicity and speed in carp fishing.

    This type of gear also has its drawbacks.

    • Low sensitivity. Because of it, it is very difficult to discern weak carp bites.
    • The tip of the rod will only start working when the carp is hooked.
    • There is also a possibility of hooks and leashes overlapping each other.

    Design and gear options

    To make the equipment more sensitive and catch as many fish as possible, you need to follow the step-by-step instructions:

    1. Take a nylon thread about 50 centimeters long.
    2. Tie the swivel to the thread.
    3. Tie a bead at a distance of 8-10 centimeters.
    4. Thread the smaller swivel and put on a new bead.
    5. Repeat inserting the bead and swivel several times.
    6. Attach a more powerful swivel to the other end.
    7. Tie leashes of different lengths through the loop into the swivel.
    8. Tie hooks between the beads.

    After preparation, you can hide the tackle in a container and get ready to go fishing.

    “Crucian carp killer” (sometimes called “death to crucian carp”) does not belong to sports gear. Firstly, it has several hooks. Secondly, it does not transmit the bite well to the tip of the rod, because it is difficult for the fish to move large equipment. However, all this does not prevent anglers from actively using it throughout the entire period of open water.

    In addition, today you can buy a “crucian carp killer” in almost any fishing store, and you can easily find several installation options on the Internet. What we'll talk about next:

    • The sliding version of this tackle is most often used, largely due to the fact that such equipment conveys the bite better. Its installation is done as follows. Take a thick fishing line with a cross-section of 0.3-0.4 mm (or braided line with a slightly smaller diameter) and a length of about a meter. A swivel with a fastener is placed at its end, and a weight weighing from 10 to 50 grams is attached. After that, several sliding spring feeders are fixed (from 2 to 5 pieces), the distance between which is from 10 to 25 cm. A short leash with a hook is tied to each spring.
    • The voiceless version of the “crucian carp killer” has a number of differences. With this design, the tackle looks like a set of feeders connected by a thick fishing line or braid so that there is a space of 10-15 cm between them. Like the sliding structure, each feeder has one short leash. To load the rig, you can use a sinker. Or install spring feeders with built-in lead balls.

    Naturally, these are just two basic and frequently used equipment. In the store or on fishing websites you can find many options and different combinations of this gear. They may differ in how the feeder is attached, as well as the number of leashes, hooks, the presence/absence of rockers and anti-twisters, or the fishing line used (length, diameter, fluorocarbon, monofilament or braid).

    For crucian carp killer gear, a rigid telescopic rod with a spinning reel is most often used. Some fishermen also use it on a regular fly or Bolognese fishing rod.

    However, such fishing rarely brings results. Still, the fishing gear, called the “crucian carp killer,” is more geared towards catching large fish, and near the shore, which attracts with abundant complementary food, mostly only small crucian carp will bite, which will be difficult to hook.

    How to catch killer tackle?

    Bottom fishing has been known since ancient times, but the popularity of this method of catching carp lost its popularity several decades ago.

    However, in the last few years it has become popular again, and in addition, it is being improved and modernized.

    When feeder rods began to appear, high-strength polymers began to be used in fishing lines, as well as electronic fishing tools, bottom fishing again became a well-known and even sporting method of “hunting”

    This is a very effective, although traumatic for fish, tackle, a kind of combination of feeder equipment and “nipple”. In general, this is a set of several spring feeders with short leashes and hooks connected to each other with fishing line. Buying tackle is problematic, since it is not considered sports, but it’s good that you can make a killer of crucian carp and crucian carp with your own hands without any problems. Here we will teach you how to knit it.

    First, a few words about the advantages of using such equipment. Since it has several feeders at once, you need 2-3 times less casts to feed a hot spot - with it you save your time. At the same time, the chances of a bite are the same 2-3 times higher, and with the help of a killer you can hunt not only for crucian carp or carp, but also for bream, roach, carp and any other medium-sized fish. Just keep in mind that this is gear with relatively low sensitivity, the leashes can get tangled with each other, and the likelihood of shooting some element also increases.

    What kind of crucian and carp killer can you make yourself?

    The entire variety of these gears is conditionally divided into 2 types:

    • Blind - feeders are fixedly attached to the main fishing line using stop beads. This option is relevant when tensioning of the equipment is expected.
    • Sliding - feeders can move within sections of the main fishing line, limited by stopper beads. This option is knitted to protect against slippage when the equipment is expected to sag.

    The rest are original and more specific varieties of the first or second type.

    How to make a crucian and carp killer yourself

    Prepare:

    This tackle is used in, although it is considered not sports due to the nature of its use. The fact is that the equipment is designed in such a way that bites are not fully transmitted to the tip. This is due to the fact that the equipment includes 3 feeders and a sinker, which the fish are not able to budge, especially such as.

    Ideal for equipment such as the paternoster, which is quite sensitive when fishing on a muddy bottom.

If there are no through holes, then the feeders are tightly connected to each other, using, for example, a “” knot.
