Independent trip to Phi Phi from Phuket. Ferry to Phuket, ferry schedule. From Laem Thong Pier to Phuket, ferries depart to

Perhaps everyone who watched the movie “The Beach” dreams of getting to an island lost in the ocean. And having arrived in Phuket, tourists strive first to get to Phi Phi to see with their own eyes the beautiful bays and snow-white beaches, as if straight out of Hollywood shots, and to enjoy the untouched beauty of exotic nature.

In fact, as the Thais themselves pronounce it, (หมู่เกาะพีพี - in Thai, Phi Phi Islands - in English) is an archipelago of six islands in the Andaman Sea, between the mainland and the island. Phuket. The archipelago includes: the only inhabited island of Phi Phi Don, the islands of Phi Phi Ley, Bida Nai, Bida Nok, Bambu and Mosquito. Tourists stop on the Don. In translation, Phi Phi means “burning island”, and Phi is pronounced by locals as Pi.

How to get there

1. Book an excursion or transfer from a travel agency

The easiest, but perhaps not the most budget-friendly way to get to the archipelago is to purchase an excursion tour from local agencies or private guides. Finding their contacts, prices and travel conditions on the Internet is not difficult.

A one-day trip as part of a group costs about 1,500 baht ($45), a two-day trip costs 3,500 ($100). The package includes transfer, insurance, meals, refreshments and, for a two-day trip, an overnight stay at a hotel.

Delivery from Phuket to the archipelago is carried out by different types of water transport: boats, cruisers, ships, ferries. The main feature of package offers is a visit to the famous Maya Bay on the island. Phi Phi Ley, where the same movie hit with Leo DiCaprio takes place.

In addition to the excursion, you can only order a transfer from Phuket to the island from travel agents. Don. It will cost on average 400 baht ($12) one way and 700 ($20) round trip. This is a reasonable and convenient option: you will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning, given a tour of the archipelago, and returned to your hotel in the evening.

2. Take the ferry

The most economical option for an independent and not lazy traveler is to get to the inhabited island on the Express Ferry Boat, which departs daily from Rassada Pier. The Express Ferry Boat is a two-story boat with outdoor deck and indoor air-conditioned seating. The ship has a toilet and a bar with drinks and simple snacks.

The ferry departs several times in the morning every two hours. A ticket costs 600 baht ($18), round trip – 1000 ($30), and the return ticket has an open date. A child ticket (4-11 years old) is 50 baht ($1.5) cheaper, children under three years old travel for free. Experienced tourists admit that you can bargain, lowering the price a little.

Ferry schedule

It is possible to purchase ferry tickets through resellers; sometimes this method can be 10 percent cheaper. In addition, travel agents will take care of the transfer from your accommodation in Phuket to the pier. If you choose to travel independently, consider the cost of travel to the pier.

A taxi from the northern beaches of Phuket costs 600-800 baht ($17-24), the journey takes about an hour. From the beaches of Kata, Karon, Patong - a little cheaper, 500-600 baht ($15-17). Another option is to get to the ferry on a rented bike.

The ferry ride to the archipelago takes about two hours. Upon arrival at Tonsai Pier, tourists are required to pay an “environmental fee” - 20 baht ($0.5). The last ferry from Tonsai to Phuket leaves at 14.30. Therefore, going on a trip for one day, you will not get a clear impression of the island.

It makes sense to spend at least two days here, fortunately, there are plenty of places to stay overnight on the Don: from five-star hotels to bungalows and guesthouses. It is better to make your choice in advance by using sites for selecting and booking accommodation.

You can get to the beach or hotel you are interested in by water by longtail taxi, in other words, by boat. Hotels usually provide this type of transfer. There is no road transport on Phi Phi.

What to see

The inhabited island consists of two limestone monoliths connected by a bridge. The Don is tiny - 28 sq.m., nevertheless, there is something to entertain yourself and something to see. The main entertainments are snorkeling, kayaking, and fishing. Usually, when ordering excursion tours, these water activities are included in the program. If you are an independent traveler, you can rent equipment on organized beaches.

You can admire the scenery from the observation deck. Entrance costs 30 baht ($0.9).

To hike up the mountain you will need comfortable shoes, water, sunscreen and a hat, which, however, is important for any movement around Thailand. Nightlife on the Don is very lively. There are nightclubs and beach parties here.

Interesting to visit. Phi Phi Ley (land area - 6.6 sq. km). There are beautiful bays and coves here: Ao Pi Lei, Ao Maya, Ao Lo Sa Ma. In the northeast of the island, excursions are attracted by the large cave of swallow nests Tham Viking.

Other islands in the archipelago are famous for their beaches and underwater landscapes available for diving.

How to get to Phi Phi on your own from Phuket, Krabi, Samui, Phangan, Bangkok, Pattaya? How to get to Phi Phi from Russia and Ukraine? Where are the Phi Phi Islands, Phi Phi Islands on the map and about Phi Phi ferries I will tell you in this article.

On the way from Phuket to Phi Phi Island
We sail to Phi Phi Island
We go to Ton Sai Bay on Phi Phi

Where are the Phi Phi Islands

The Phi Phi Islands are located in Thailand in the Andaman Sea between the mainland. The Phi Phi Islands are part of the Krabi province and consist of 6 islands. They include the island of Phi Phi Le (this is where the famous film “The Beach” was filmed) and Phi Phi Don - the island where all the main tourist infrastructure is concentrated: hotels, restaurants, cafes, shops, tour offices, etc. and so on. Another four Phi Phi islands are very small and can be visited on a tour or by hiring a private boat. Speaking about how to get to Phi Phi we will keep in mind one of the islands, namely Phi Phi Don island🙂 Phi Phi Islands on the map

Phi Phi Ferries

Phi Phi Island is connected to the mainland and neighboring islands by ferry:

  • Ferry Phuket Phi Phi- departure from Rassada Pier in Phuket in Phuket Town, arrival at Tonsai port in Phi Phi
  • Ferry Phuket Phi Phi- departure from Rassada Pier in Phukta, arrival at Laem Tong port in Phi Phi. Runs only during high season!
  • Krabi Phi Phi Ferry- departure from Klong Jilard Pier near Krabi Town
  • Ao Nang Phi Phi ferry with a call at Railay - departure from the Nopparat Thara pier, which is located at the end of the beach of the same name near Ao Nang
  • Ferry Koh Lanta Phi Phi(from Saladan Pier)
  • Speedboat Koh Lipe – Phuket (via Phi Phi) runs only in high season (from mid-October to mid-April).

When talking about Phi Phi ferries, it is worth keeping in mind that they are different from the ferry we used to get to the island or to. Although they are called ferries, they are actually huge boats with cars and bikes in them. they don't carry it. Those. You cannot get to the island with a bike or car.

This is what Phi Phi ferries look like. We sailed on this ferry from Phuket
And on such a ferry (boat) we got from Phi Phi to Krabi

Boats (ferries) Phi Phi are large and comfortable. Several huge air-conditioned rooms with comfortable armchairs and TVs, several open decks where young people begin to sunbathe immediately upon arriving on the ship 🙂 There is a bar with drinks (cola, water, beer) and a minimal snack. Several toilets, washbasins. When entering the ferry, luggage is all unloaded right next to the entrance in a closed room (and not taken with you, as on), when leaving, it is not easy to find your backpack among a huge mountain of things :) If you entered the ferry at the very beginning and unloaded your luggage into a pile, then , most likely, you will be the last to leave the ferry :) The ferry staff does not help unload luggage ashore, as, for example, on the Lompraya boats.

Phuket Phi Phi how to get there

If you are already vacationing in Phuket, then you can visit the Phi Phi Islands either with a tour (there are one, two and three day excursions from Phuket to Phi Phi) or on your own. I recommend going to Phi Phi on your own and definitely not for one day, but for at least two, and preferably 3-4 days.

Phuket Phi Phi how to get there on your own? Getting to Phi Phi on your own from Phuket is easy by ferry or speedboat.

The Phuket Phi Phi ferry departs from Rassada Pier, which is located in Phuket town, not far from the bus station (we took a tuk-tuk from the bus station in 10 minutes and 80 baht for two).

  • Ferry departure times from Phuket (to Tonsai Pier): 8:30, 11:00, 13:30 and 15:30.
  • Phi Phi Phuket ferry departure times: 9:00, 11:00, 14:00, 14:30, 15:30.

Departure times for ferries between the islands may vary slightly; departures are often delayed by 20-30 minutes. Travel time is about 2 hours.

Speaking about the Phuket – Phi Phi – Phuket ferries, it is worth noting that The cost of travel on the route Phuket - Phi Phi is higher than the cost of travel in the opposite direction!

The cost of tickets for the Phuket - Phi Phi ferry: from 350 to 600 baht, and in the opposite direction (Phi Phi - Phuket) - 250 - 300 baht!

Another strange nuance: ferry tickets to Phi Phi directly at Rassada Pier in Phuket are more expensive than in travel agencies.

If you are already vacationing in Phuket, then I advise you to buy ferry tickets at the hotel or the nearest agency, then Phuket Phi Phi tickets (most likely with the transfer included) will cost you 300-400 baht, and directly at the Rassada pier - 600 baht per person !

Pattaya Phi Phi

As in the case of Bangkok, you need to get from Phi Phi in two stages: Pattaya - Phuket or Pattaya - Krabi by bus or plane, and then by ferry to Phi Phi from one of the piers.

A direct flight from Pattaya to Phuket is currently only offered by Bangkok Airways and it will cost a lot – from $75. Find flights from Pattaya to Phuket. It will be cheaper to get to Bangkok and fly out of it with low-cost airlines (read how to get from Pattaya to Bangkok

Or use the map of low ticket prices (convenient if you are not tied to vacation dates).

If you are flying to Bangkok, then from Suvarnabhumi Airport you need to move to Don Muang Airport, from where you can fly to Phuket or Krabi on one of the low-cost airlines, and then use the tips on how to get to Phi Phi from Phuket or Krabi, which are described above.

And if you are lucky enough to find good options for tickets from your city to Phuket (sometimes there are good special offers to Phuket from Moscow and Novosibirsk), then all you have to do is just get to the Rassada pier and take the ferry to Phi Phi.

On the way to Phi Phi Islands

That's all I wanted to tell you about how to get to Phi Phi on your own. If you forgot something, please add it or ask in the comments to the article.

The island of Phuket is actually separated from the mainland by a narrow canal across which there is a small bridge. Although most tourists arrive in Phuket by plane or car, ferries operate regularly to and from the island. Ferries, for example, connect Phuket and the islands.

An alternative to the ferry is high-speed boats - speed boats or private boats. During the high speed season, speed boats are often crowded. Fortunately, now all boats are quite comfortable, you can just sit on the deck and sunbathe. There are often warnings about the dangers of traveling on crowded boats, but fortunately accidents are quite rare. It is possible to rent a private boat, but the price will be much higher than by ferry or speed boat.

Below I will give the ferry schedule from Phuket, but do not forget that departure times may sometimes change due to weather conditions. But, in general, the ferry schedule will always be approximately the same.

You can check the ferry schedule and find out the cost of tickets using the search form below or the link -.

If you buy a ferry ticket at a travel agency, they will most likely offer you not only a ferry ticket, but also a transfer service to the pier. This is a very convenient service, you should not refuse it. You don't have to calculate travel time yourself and you can avoid confusion between ferries from different companies.

How to get to Rassada Pier, Rassada Pier on the map

In addition to ferries, many places are accessible by land transport, for example, you can get to Krabi by or. A more expensive option, but at the same time more comfortable, is a taxi.

I’ve been wanting to go to Thailand for a very long time, and it’s finally happened. On a chilly November morning, I surfed the Internet and came across the Phuket – Phi Phi – Krabi program. Here! Exactly what I wanted!!! Having estimated the dates, prices and hotels, having decided to book early enough, we bought this tour and began to wait for our vacation.

Travel program.
Travel dates: from February 19 to March 6, 2010. Two adults and a child almost 6 years old. Direct flight Moscow-Phuket-Moscow, Transaero, premium economy class. 7 nights in Phuket, Katathani Phuket Beach Resort, then 3 nights in Phi Phi at Phi Phi Island Village, and finally 4 nights in Krabi, Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi. The review is very long, so I deliberately divided it into three parts, and I will sequentially describe each hotel and the trip itself.

Air travel.
Let me start with the fact that Transaero currently flies 2 direct flights to Phuket UN 547/548 and UN 527/528 (departing an hour apart). Initially, on flight UN 547/548 they put a double-decker Boeing 747-300 without premium economy, and UN 527/528 with a Boeing 777-200 with premium economy, for which we actually had tickets booked. When flying to Phuket, the Boeing 777-200 was replaced by a Boeing 747-400, in which the premium class is located in two places - on the 2nd floor and on the 1st floor immediately after business. We already knew a day before what type of plane would fly, and using online registration on the Transaero website (exactly 12 hours before departure), we chose, as it seemed to us, very good seats on the plane. Just in case, we called the online reservation department back and asked if everything was ok? They answered us - everything is fine, you are on the list. On the day of departure it was snowing heavily, it was Friday evening, Moscow was standing still... After work, we quickly stopped home to pick up the child and luggage and went to Paveletsky Station - it was not possible to take a taxi, so we took the Aeroexpress. The express train was crowded with people, many were standing... At the airport, at flight check-in, we noticed that they looked at us strangely at check-in, or rather at our printouts of online check-in. And sure enough, they are moving from the 12th row with a drop-dead 2-3-2 seating arrangement, to the next cabin with the classic 3-4-3 Boeing 747 seating arrangement on the 19th row, fortunately there are three seats by the window... Having quarreled and having achieved nothing, they agreed to 19 there are a number of options, there are no options, the plane is already almost completely full... Here's online booking... A 2-hour wait on the plane due to weather conditions and anti-freeze treatment, and then we finally took off. The flight lasts 8 hours 20 minutes.
I’ll tell you right away about the return flight Phuket-Moscow. A Boeing 777-200 was already flying here, and we, having got to check-in 4 hours before (due to the nature of the transfer), received the declared premium economy and exactly the seats we wanted to sit in - 2 seats by the window and another one next to it in the central block . For those who don’t know, the seating arrangement on the Boeing 777-200 is 2-5-2 (heh... 5 seats in the center in one block - tough!), 4 cabins - first imperial, then business, then a bunch of rows of premium economy and at the end The regular economy class cabin is not very large. On this plane, premium economy is still a little different from regular economy, especially in those places that have 2 seats by the window - the seats themselves are wider and there is a little more distance between them, in the center, where the central block of 5 seats is, the seats are narrower 8 centimeters and it may be a bit cramped. By the way, the seats in the Boeing 777-200 are very comfortable, definitely better than in the 747. The flight to Moscow lasts about 9 hours 30 minutes. Another important point is that it is very strict to return with too much luggage. So keep in mind that 32 kg is the maximum weight for one suitcase, and that 20 kg per person + 5 kg hand luggage is allowed. We carried a bag with winter jackets in our hand luggage - it weighed almost 10 kg, and during check-in the employees did not want to let it into our hand luggage. I had to show them that there were jackets there and explain that it is very cold in Moscow :) Well, very cold :)))

Here is Phuket. After quickly passing through passport control, we go to the hotel. The transfer is normal, a minibus for three families, everyone is taken to almost one place - the end of Kata and to Kata-noy. The only pity is that there are no normal highways and there are a lot of traffic lights where you stand for one and a half minutes - it was very annoying, the path that could realistically be covered in 30-40 minutes lasted almost 1 hour and 20 minutes. Well, okay, here's the hotel.

Katathani Phuket Beach Resort Hotel.
I noticed this little hotel a long time ago, so I initially focused on it in Phuket. The hotel consists of two parts - on the first line of the Thani Wing building - Junior Suites and Grand Suites, all with a view (or partial view) of the sea, the Buri building is located a little further to the side from the main building and a little deeper, behind a small road, Superior rooms and Deluxe. I will mainly write about the Thani Wing building, since that is where we lived.

Territory.
The Thani Wing building is located along almost the entire Kata Noi Bay. Beaches in Thailand are public, so the hotel does not have a private part of the beach; the hotel starts from the lawn in front of the buildings. In this part of the hotel there are two swimming pools with sea water, of varying depths - from 1 meter 60 cm to 1 meter 10 centimeters (very convenient for children!!!), plus paddling pools 60 cm deep, plus very good Jacuzzis (really high-quality hydromassage) and bubble baths (in English this is called bubbling water spring, well, it’s like a pool, 20-30 centimeters deep, in which you can lie, and at the bottom there are hundreds of nozzles from which bubbling air comes out, very cool!). The area is very green, palm trees grow everywhere, there is a lot of shade. The hotel itself has grocery stores (one in each building). On the street next to the hotel there is also a small shop, 2 restaurants, an optician and several studio shops.

Number.
Our room was a Junior Suite on the 3rd floor, with a wonderful view of the sea and the pool, although at the beginning the room was given on the first floor right next to the reception and the passage - in terms of the view from the room, it was not very good, so they changed the room without any problems. The room itself is 50 meters in Thai style, a lot of wood, with a visual division into a bedroom and living room area with a children's daybed, with a balcony, a large window into the bathroom :)) (closable if desired). The bathroom has a bathtub, a separate shower behind glass, all the necessary cosmetics, bathrobes, and a hairdryer. Minibar without drinks. The air conditioning works well, it is individual, but a little noisy. There is a safe. A set of wine and cocktail glasses was found in a drawer next to the minibar. As a compliment from the hotel, they bring one bottle of water per person per day. On the bedside table there is a nice questionnaire about the pillows in the room: “Do you need a thicker/thinner pillow, harder/softer, etc.”

Service.
There are practically no complaints about the service. At the reception they resolve any issues and change rooms without any problems (although we must take into account that the hotel is completely full during the season, so they may not change immediately, but the next day). Room cleaning is good. Beach towels are brought to your room in the evening.

Nutrition.
Breakfast at the hotel is up to standard. The assortment practically does not change, but is always quite wide - which, however, is typical for all the hotels we visited during this trip. They prepare omelettes with fillings and scrambled eggs, fried bacon of 2 degrees of frying, potatoes, an assortment of chopped vegetables, several types of cheese, ham, sometimes some other smoked meat, beans in tomato, 2 types of sausages, several hot dishes in the Thai style with meat, fish or chicken, 4 types of juice (not fresh juice, but quite tasty), several times there were rolls with salmon or vegetables. Fruits – papaya, watermelon, dragonfruit, bananas, pomelo, pineapples. Waffles, pancakes, lots of baked goods. Disgusting coffee and tea.

I’ll write a little about the hotel’s restaurants and bars.
I’ll write right away that all taxes and fees in all bars and restaurants of the hotel are already included in the final price!!! To make Thai prices easier to understand, I will say that the average rate for 1 dollar was 32.5-32.8 baht, i.e. 1 baht is 8-10 percent less than a ruble.
During the day you can have a snack from a small menu at the pool bars - a standard set of salads, pasta, pizza, burgers. At the beach club (which is located between the Buri building and the sea, you can have lunch in a cafe for a fixed amount of 199 baht - a buffet, quite decent). For dinner there are several a la carte restaurants, and the main restaurant (Chom Talay) offers some kind of themed dinner every day - Italian (very authentic), Thai, fish or barbecue for a fixed amount of 850 baht, child (up to 6 years old) exactly) free. At the same time, some group or jazz band performs. Moreover, upon arrival you receive several coupons with a discount of 250 baht per person, which can be used for these dinners. I definitely recommend visiting the fish dinner - buffet in the main restaurant on Thursdays, where for 600 baht (including the coupon discount) you will get an excellent and varied dinner in all meanings - oysters (yes! oysters), mussels, shrimp on ice, fried tiger shrimps, crabs, small lobsters (they are called rock lobster), sea bass and red snapper fillets - this is the minimum that needs to be mastered :). There are also all sorts of special offers for dinners at a fish restaurant (Fisherman Wharf`s), where, by the way, you can dine on the regular menu. A few words about the wine list of the hotel restaurants. There is a wine list on special offer - 10 red and 10 white wines from France, Italy, Spain, Chile and South Africa are presented for a fixed amount of 990 baht - here I will definitely highlight the wine from South Africa The Post Stones, both red shiraz and white chardonnay . There is also good Australian sparkling wine from Hardy's for 1300 baht per bottle (or 260 per glass). The main wine list features wines from good producers from all major regions of the world at outrageous prices (from 1,800 baht per bottle).
All hotel bars have special offers on drinks, valid almost all day - water, carbonated drinks (such as cola) for 50 baht, Chang beer (0.33) for 60 baht, Singha (0.33) for 70 baht, Heineken (0 ,33) for 80 baht. All other prices are more or less standard for a 5 star hotel. They make excellent cocktails (on average 180-260 baht), I especially liked the Mojito, and my wife liked the tropical cocktails served in coconuts. There is a 50% discount on the entire range of drinks (except wine) in all bars during happy hour from 17-30 to 18-30 - at this time the bars are crowded with people and live music is playing.

Eating outside the hotel.
Well, firstly, there are two restaurants next to the hotel - Jaojong Seafood and Orchid (I liked this one better). You can have lunch and dinner there, the prices are higher than in inexpensive restaurants in Kata, but I will not particularly recommend these restaurants - the food did not impress me. We went to Kathu (taxi 150 baht) to the Mai Thai restaurant on the recommendation of our parents - we liked it, everything was delicious, large portions, inexpensive beer. The prices are different, not very high - you can eat for 400 baht for two, or for 2000 baht per person - it all depends on what you will eat. For example, once I couldn’t finish a portion of duck for 200 baht. Seafood costs, as everywhere else on Kata, almost the same - giant shrimp and small lobsters for 1200 baht per kilo (on average, one giant shrimp costs 500 baht), large lobsters for 1800 baht per kilo (on average, one lobster costs 1100- 1200 baht). No body kits were noticed. Here we also tried the wonderful Australian wine Cookoothama Darlington Point Chardonnay 2008 from Nugan Estate (not cheap - 1450 baht per bottle) - I have not tried the best white wine during the entire trip. Bright, rich, impressive wine. The bouquet contains tones of ripe peaches, pineapple and melon. The structure is balanced and has excellent saturation. In the taste of the wine you can feel the taste of peach, exotic fruits, vanilla, and light citrus notes appear in the finale. Definitely recommend!
When we got tired of Thai food, we went to the Two Chefs restaurant in South Kata (http://www.twochefs-phuket.com/en/restaurants.aspx), but here they mainly serve European cuisine with an emphasis on sophistication, a pleasant interior with stone masonry, excellent steaks, lobsters cooked in different sauces. Everything is very tasty. Not very cheap, but quite acceptable... I really liked the "2 in 1" Surf&Turf dish (grilled Australian beef tenderloin and lobster baked in Parmesan cheese, seasoned with mushroom sauce and potato pie with sun-dried tomatoes - 795 baht, and my wife – lobster baked with cheese in a sauce with spices and asparagus and potatoes with basil for 695 baht. I also liked the restaurant located at the first intersection leading from South Kata, next to the Kata Beach Hotel (if you stand with your back to the hotel, then on the right hand. from it, next to a large bag and shoe store) - fresh seafood, good cocktails and reasonable prices for wine.

Sea beach.
The sea is wonderful - what more can be said. Kata Noi Beach is one of the best beaches on the island, quite uncrowded, sun loungers cost 200 baht. The water is clean, there are practically no waves at this time of year. On the right on the beach near the rocks you can see small colored fish. Guests of Catatani, as a rule, do not rent sunbeds on the beach, but lie on free sunbeds on the hotel grounds - so all the good places are occupied in the morning, around 7 o’clock. You often read: “Well, all the places are occupied by “Russian cattle”, who take up seats at 6 am and only come up for lunch” (this applies to many hotels in many countries, I’ll give an example - Ayodya Resort in Bali - you often hear such polemics there) - This is very unpleasant to hear, because I think that the problem with sunbeds is a problem of the hotel management or the real limited space, for example, by the pool. In Catatani, in the morning, European pensioners quickly take the best places (these are places by the pools with umbrellas), arriving much later, so I recommend hurrying up - as you can see, this is not a “national problem”, but a feature of individual hotels and unequal places, convenient or inconvenient to accommodate. In any case, free sun loungers can be found on the lawns under the trees, but there will no longer be umbrellas there, and you will have to walk a short distance to the pool. At the exit from the hotel to the beach there are cafes that do not belong to the hotel, where you can buy drinks, fruits, coconuts (40-50 baht), and have a snack.

Beach Club.
Recently, a new Beach Club was built at the hotel - it is located away from the Thani Wing buildings, between the beach and the Buri building. There is a nice swimming pool of 340 sq.m. m. with a small children's slide, a jacuzzi, a bubble bath, two arches with a cascading shower and a children's splash pool. There is a cafe where you can have lunch (buffet for 199 baht) and a beach bar. A lounge area has been built where you can hide from the sun, sit on comfortable sofas and read (there is a small library, by the way, I found one book in Russian :).

Entertainment on site.
For adults, all the main entertainment is going to restaurants with live music, visiting bars during “happy hours” - in general, this is how the main, “foreign-retired” part of the hotel guests relax. You can play boccia or billiards.

Children.
There is a mini-club for foreign children and a playroom in the Buri building, which we never got to – what to do there? After all, this is not Turkey, so all the entertainment for children lies with the parents - but this is not bad at all :) Excellent sea, good beach, comfortable swimming pools for children with sea water near the Thani Wing buildings, no problems with food - I definitely recommend the hotel for families with children from 0 to 12 years old.

Spa and massages on site.
The spa center is not bad, of course, with high prices. The massage that masseuses do on sun loungers for 300 baht on the hotel premises is a complete profanation; it only makes sense to get a pedicure. On the beach, next to the exit from the Beach Club, massages are done much better, but it depends how it turns out - after all, the main thing is to find “your master.” I like it. Prices from 300 to 500 baht.

Excursions.
Due to the fact that we were with a child, and also due to the further continuation of the trip to Phi Phi and Krabi, we did not take sea excursions. We only took the Fantasea show and an individual overview of the island (observation platforms, Wat Chalong Temple, Big Buddha, rubber plantation) from the Ilves Tour company (our tour operator no longer had free guides) - I really liked everything, so I can also recommend Ilves Tour , as well as the host of Exotic Voyage.

More about the hotel.
The main contingent of Thani Wing corps are foreign pensioners and families with children from Europe and Australia; there are practically no Russians. There are no noisy companies either. The Buri hull is more democratic, there are more Russians here, we saw a lot of noisy Italians, but it is also cheaper than the Thani Wing hull. During the season, almost the entire hotel is 100% full, so you can hardly get here on a last-minute special offer at this time - everything will be booked. The hotel is in demand due to its location - so it makes sense to book it in advance. In the off-season (end of April - October) a flexible pricing policy is implemented, room prices drop by 40-45 percent, and I think the occupancy rate is not so high (although I’m not sure). I liked the pricing policy inside the hotel - restaurants and drinks are quite affordable, all taxes are included in the final price. I liked the very atmosphere of the hotel, a certain distance from civilization, which is easy to overcome if desired.

Well what else can I say...
There was a feeling that, for example, everything in Bali is cheaper than in Phukta, this applies to restaurants (especially prices for fresh seafood), and souvenirs, especially prices for taxis and excursion services. In Phukta, you are unlikely to rent a taxi with a driver for 35-40 bucks for the whole day, and you will not be able to eat fresh seafood inexpensively. Of course, now the Indonesian rupiah has strengthened against the dollar by 20 percent compared to last year, and all the apparent cheapness may have already disappeared. But still....
The week in Phuket flew by very quickly, I was even a little sad to leave - we still hadn’t seen much, and I really liked the place itself. But the island of Phi Phi and Krabi were still waiting for us, and besides, we decided for ourselves that we would definitely return to Phuket!
