The hot season lasts from June to September. During this period, the air temperature is +33-37°C during the day and +25-30°C at night. Thanks to the low humidity, the heat doesn't seem sweltering, but you still shouldn't plan a vacation to Makadi Bay for the summer.
The heat subsides only with the arrival of October. The air temperature drops to +30°C during the day and +24°C at night. This is a wonderful time to relax with a child, since the heat no longer bothers you, and the sea remains warm like summer.
In November, the temperature does not so much drop as it ceases to be stable. Day to day and year to year are not alike: sometimes at the end of autumn the heat is +30°C, sometimes it gets cold to +20°C. If you are going to Makadi Bay with a baby, prefer to travel at the beginning of the month.
In December-February, the daytime temperature stays at +20-22°C, and with sunset it drops to +13-15°C. It’s not very comfortable on the beaches at this time, but you won’t find better weather for excursion trips.
Warming to +25°C occurs in March, and in April the air warms up to +27-29°C. The only thing that prevents us from calling spring the time for the best holiday in Makadi Bay with children is the khamsin blowing from the desert, a dry, hot wind with sand and dust.
To avoid this phenomenon, it is advisable to postpone your trip until May. By May the heat increases to +32°C, but in the dry climate of Makadi Bay this is an acceptable temperature.
Note that strong winds blow in Makadi Bay only in the spring, unlike neighboring Hurghada. However, many hotels still install windbreaks on the beaches.
Sea water temperature

From July to October, the water temperature in Makadi Bay does not drop below +27°C - those who vacation at the resort in the fall are ready to splash in the sea for hours. By the end of November the sea cools down to +25°C.
Nutrition
The most common food system in Makadi Bay is all-inclusive. This makes it easy to choose suitable dishes for a child eating from an adult table.
Hotels often offer a children's menu, which is quite decent and varied. At the same time, when going on vacation with your baby, stock up on suitable baby food or be prepared to shop in Hurghada.
Eating out at the resort is not very popular, so there are relatively few restaurants here. If you are going to cook yourself, you will need to go to one of the supermarkets located away from the resort area for groceries.
Transport
There is no public transport in Makadi Bay: the resort seems to be specially separated from noisy Hurghada, so that connoisseurs of secluded relaxation choose it. However, this resort area is just developing, and over time buses from neighboring cities and towns will come here.
In the meantime, taxis are the main mode of transport in Makadi Bay. They are needed not so much for moving around the city as for traveling to Hurghada.

We vacationed in Makadi in November 2016 with friends. I would like to note that the hotel area is large, clean and contains a lot of greenery. Part of the hotel was under reconstruction, but this did not affect the quality of the stay.
The beach is gorgeous, especially for those vacationing with children. Sun beds are freely available.
The rooms we got were not bad, but the furniture would have been nicer. They cleaned it every day, but unfortunately not very well.
The food, both in the main restaurant and in the a la carte restaurants, is varied. I would like to see more fruits, especially in their whole form.
Entertainment programs and animation are of a very good level, for which special thanks.
The water park on site is very large, clean, with interesting animal figures.
The hotel staff is polite. Despite the shortcomings that I described, we enjoyed our stay at Tia Heights! And in November, relaxing at sea is a real pleasure.

My husband and I rested here from November 7 to November 14, 2016. For a very long time I chose a hotel with a good entrance to the sea, first line and not far from the airport. I’ll say right away that I liked everything, starting with the work of TezTour. Everything is organized, they welcome you everywhere, they will tell you everything for newcomers. We arrived at the hotel around 13:30. We were immediately sent to lunch. And then they gave me the key.
We checked into the Aqua room. The room, of course, is not worthy of 5 stars. The furniture is a little worn and so are the walls. But for me this is not paramount. There were 2 beds, although my husband and I were there. Well, nothing - they moved it)). When we checked in, newlyweds came up and asked to change their room, since they were on their honeymoon, but they were moved into a room with two beds.
The food was varied, there was enough of everything: fish, beef, chicken, crabs, liver. There were soups and porridge for children, there were separate tables for them, and for the little ones there were high chairs on wheels.
Now about the sea. The beach is clean, the sea is gorgeous, shallow for a very long time, a little further there are reefs and incredibly beautiful fish, which we looked at through a mask (bought in the hotel store). The entrance to the sea is ideal for children.
Animation at the highest level. There is entertainment all day long: aerobics, water aerobics, morning warm-up, volleyball, mini golf, belly dancing, the evening program is different every day, a mini disco for children, a disco for adults. Cheetos and Jamaica, girls from animation, you are WELL DONE!
There is a large water park on site for adults and children! Overall, the holiday experience was wonderful. Next time we will fly with children!

Let me start with the fact that we were very meticulous in choosing a hotel, since we were flying with a 3-year-old child. We were guided by recent reviews and were not disappointed. In my opinion, this is an ideal option for a simple family vacation.
Check-in went quite quickly. We arrived after five in the evening and the hotel at the time of our arrival was 30 percent full. It was necessary to change the room, and not because it was bad or something was broken, but because it was not possible to go to the 4th floor without an elevator with a small child. you run up. Our room was changed the next day without any problems or extra charges - thanks to the hotel staff, they were prompt and calm!
Room in the Dune building on the first floor. If you want pathos and golden toilets, this is definitely not the place for you. Everything is very simple, some of the furniture clearly requires replacement. At the same time, the refrigerator, TV, safe, hairdryer, air conditioning and all plumbing worked properly. By the way, 1 Ukrainian channel was also working (a small thing, but nice). Bottled water was provided every day (free of charge), one bottle per person. Cleaned every day. The beds were changed a couple of times during our 10 days stay.
Food - the hotel has 2 a la carte restaurants (fish and Italian), if you come for 7 days you can visit each one once for free. If for more days, then 2 free visits. The general restaurant where the main breakfast, lunch and dinner takes place is clean, there is plenty of space, there are no queues.
The food is very tasty, there is a large selection, there is always fish, meat and poultry, several types of soups for lunch and dinner, milk porridge for breakfast and yoghurts. There is a children's menu (for children there are separate children's tables with small chairs). There is not a lot of fruit at all, which is disappointing. Well, as always, desserts are beyond praise and there is always a large selection.
The territory is large, well-groomed, clean. But dear hotel administration, do something about flies and mosquitoes! This is not my first time in Egypt, and the hotel workers have always treated bushes and trees with special products to prevent this scourge.
The beach is gorgeous, very large, with sun loungers and mattresses. There were no questions about them during the entire period of rest. There is an excellent team of animators on the beach (I saw aqua aerobics in the sea for the first time - it made me happy). Sandy entrance, no corals, a child ran along the beach without slippers and swam in the sea without slippers, it’s wonderful! But there is a reef about 500 meters from the shore. We did not feel the ebb and flow of the tides as such.
The water park is large, there are slides for adults and children. Heated children's pool.
The staff is friendly, responsive, all our requests were fulfilled without problems or swearing.
For children there is a mini-club, good animators, they show a cartoon every evening, and after it a children's disco begins.
There is almost no entertainment for adults as such; this hotel in Makadi Bay is clearly aimed at family vacations.

It was our first time in Egypt. The Tia Heights Hotel, in my opinion, does not qualify for 5*.
The territory is, of course, large. There are many buildings and small villas. The water park is very decent. The services provided at the hotel are quite decent, although for an additional fee: golf, billiards, tennis.
The animation was interesting: volleyball, yoga, aqua aerobics, karaoke, dancing. But the morning “entertainment” began at 10:30, and active water procedures at 11:30, just at the moment when the hot sun was burning to its fullest. The timing was not very good.
Returning to the hotel description. Upon arrival, around 11, we had to wait only an hour for check-in. During this time, we examined the territory and found the main building, as the bus brought us to the second reception. Entering the room, we were taken aback: the paint near the door was peeling, the chair was shabby, the chest of drawers had crooked drawers and no handle. Everything was dusty (especially the chairs and table on the balcony), although we waited precisely because our room was supposedly being cleaned. For some reason there was always a leak from the bathroom; there were no necessary accessories - a freshener and a brush. In general, they cleaned our place and changed our towels every day. So, after the first shock, we pulled ourselves together and started cleaning up =)). After all, as I write in every review, we didn’t come to sit in the room!
The food is even more monotonous than I have seen in Turkish troikas. The meat is a bit tough, there are few vegetables, even less fruit, and the desserts are very ordinary. Being not picky, we found what to eat. Separately, dishes for children were presented. I don’t know what was there, but people were collecting something for the children.
We didn't swim in the pools because they were cold. And why? The sea is simply amazing! The beach is good: there are many sunbeds, clean towels are provided, showers and toilets are nearby. The entrance to the sea is perfect for children and clumsy swimmers. The water itself was clean and warm.
We went to the water park several times. Everyone can choose slides for themselves: extreme and simple. You just have to compete for a rug or an inflatable ring with the Arab children who are brought there on weekends. There, however, as in any other water park, you need to be careful - it’s slippery.
The service, the attitude of the staff, the location of the hotel are excellent. But in order to reach the top five, you still have to work and work! Maybe I would return to this hotel if there were no other options or for very little money.
