Mozhaisk reservoir rest with a tent. Holidays in the Mozhaisk district of the Moscow region: how to get there? Paid fishing in the Moscow region

One of the most popular among tourists and local residents places for fishing is the Mozhaisk Reservoir. It got its name from the area where it is located. This artificial reservoir is considered the largest in the region - its area is 30.7 square meters. km, so the reservoir is also often called the Mozhaisk Sea. His average depth reaches 10 m, and the maximum is 30 m.

History and features of the reservoir

The reservoir was created within the Moscow River in 60-62 years of the last century after a hydroelectric complex was built in this area. There is a hydroelectric power station on it. The length of the dam that blocks the river is 900 m. It serves as a road crossing, but you can drive across it only with a pass.

The Mozhaisk Sea has an elongated shape. In its waters there is Gorokhovsky Island, which is located opposite the village of Staroye Selo. The left bank of the reservoir is almost completely flat, so access to it is not difficult. The right coast has a high altitude and uneven terrain, with frequent cliffs.

The bottom of the reservoir is mostly flat, but there are numerous snags on it. The reservoir has the greatest depth in the flooded channel and in places not far from it. At the end of November, the reservoir is covered with solid ice. The period of clear water in it begins in the last weeks of April.

Previously, the Mozhaisk Sea was used for shipping. Now the reservoir is used for water supply to Moscow and serves to regulate the drainage in the river on which it was created. The reservoir is a recreation area, so recreation centers and cottage communities operate around it.

Fishing

The Mozhaisk Reservoir is home to about 30 species of fish. Among them there are both indigenous inhabitants of the reservoir and artificially bred ones. The most common fish are:

Less common are burbot, bream, eels, ruffs, tench carp and crucian carp. Among fishermen, the reservoir is famous for its large asps, whose weight reaches 5−6 kg.

Fishing permit

To start fishing on Mozhaika, you need to have a special permit with you. You can purchase it either in Mozhaisk fishing stores located on central square, or at recreation centers for fishermen.

The voucher gives you the opportunity to fish both from a boat and from the coast at any time of the day. Swimming is also allowed in the Mozhaisk Sea.

It is not recommended to go fishing in a reservoir without a permit, since Fishnadzor employees carry out regular checks and the lack of permission will result in a large fine.

Biting places

To fish using float gear, you should find a place with a flat bottom. In such areas the bream bites well. No less effective there will be fishing in deep-sea holes and in the riverbed - in these places there is a confident bite, but more powerful gear will be required. If you fish at great depths, you can catch bream, but the bite is quite unstable, so you need to periodically change the bait.

Places in the vicinity of the villages of Bestuzhevo, Krasnovidovo and Glazovo, where there are bays, are considered popular among fishermen. Good choice There will also be a flooded lake not far from the village of Myshkino - in this area you can fish for pike and perch.

Not far from the village of Trinity Roach and rudd bite well. In the shallow waters in this area you can catch tench and crucian carp.

Tackle and bait

The reservoir contains a large number of bloodworms, so the fish in it are well-fed and rather capricious. To make fishing on the Mozhaisk Reservoir as productive as possible, you should give preference to the following gear:

When fishing for roach, bleak or crucian carp, it is recommended to choose a worm, dough, steamed wheat or caddis as bait. The roach will bite well if you feed it with burdock moths, mixing moths with larvae. Pieces of lard or maggots are also suitable for gluing.

To catch bream, you need to feed it well using bloodworms. A worm, maggot or dough is suitable as bait.

Fishing for pike perch will be effective if you use live bait, lures or foam fish as bait. You can also catch chub and pike using a spinner or a rotating wobbler, and it is better to choose a larger bait for catching the latter. In the morning, pike can also be caught using small crucian carp, installed on the donk. The same tackle is used to catch eel in a pond, only a worm should be used as bait.

Large perch in the reservoir can be caught with fry if you fish at depth. He also bites on a rotating spoon, only the bait should have a white petal.

To relax with your family (and not only) and have a lot of fun, you don’t have to travel far. You just need to take a closer look at the local natural attractions. For example, in the Moscow region there is such a wonderful corner where camping is just a fairy tale.

Practical information

Address: Moscow region, Mozhaisk district. GPS coordinates: 55.6014233, 35.6614418.

For a whole month I dreamed of getting out into nature with a tent, but either the weather did not allow it, or work did not allow it, and then the stars aligned, I carefully chose a place, it was the Mozhaisk Reservoir, which is the largest in the region.

The reservoir is so large that there are plenty of places for recreation, but the problem is you need to know how to get to them, since the reservoir is surrounded on all sides by residential settlements and summer cottages and you simply won’t be able to get to it without additional knowledge. The simplest and therefore most popular place is Blaznovo. That’s where we decided to go, we simply entered this locality into the Yandex navigator. P.S. Don’t expect to ask the locals for directions to the water, we interviewed two people, both pretended that they had no idea what kind of reservoir we were talking about, and they didn’t know the road. Looking ahead, I can say that what we were looking for turned out to be 500 meters from the houses of the respondents.

So the exact route is: you enter Blaznovo (there will be a sign for the roads), immediately on the right there will be a yellow sign “through passage is closed”, and under it there is a mountain of garbage, turn right and focus on a high telephone tower (it’s hard not to notice, it’s the highest), then the road forks and we turn left in front of the tower, driving through the field. I’ll say right away that if it’s raining, there’s almost no chance of driving a car, and there’s NOTHING to do with a low car, unless of course you don’t mind the car. Looking ahead, I will say that we tore off the radiator mounts on the Volkwagen polo. We are driving through a field, the road forks again, we turn right towards the forest, we drive further, a large brick house appears on the left hand, turning into a fence with a large through arch, we go straight and run into coniferous forest and you are on the coast.

The road along the Mozhaisk highway with all the traffic jams on Saturday took us 2.5 hours, we arrived at the long-awaited place, saw a coniferous forest and a beautiful surface of water, and at the same time dozens of tents every meter, we decided to turn right and drive along the coast through the forest . The tents never stopped, the places were too beautiful, after about a kilometer of a very slow journey by car, since the road was all potholes, we saw a similar Volkwagen polo, stuck up to its ears in the mud, the guys said that further the road would only get worse, We took their word for it, pulled the poor fellows out on a rope, turned around and decided that there was nothing for us to do here, we left the village on the highway along the same road, turned right and moved to the village of Kriushino to go around the reservoir on the other side and try our luck on the opposite bank . As soon as we left Blaznovo, after about 500 meters the reservoir is closest to the highway; it is difficult to miss this place, since hundreds of cars are parked along the road, and people walk along the self-paved path all the way to the water.

This kind of vacation did not suit us, so we moved as planned to Kriushino.

Upon arrival in this village, we quickly found an entrance to the shore, we need to go straight down, the road is asphalted. There were few people, since there was no forest here at all and people pitched tents right under the scorching sun, then our hope for at least some place collapsed, but suddenly on the right hand on our bank we saw a forest plantation, several tents and good coast, but the trouble was that there was no way to get to the desired place along the shore, since the reservoir makes a bend and the Kriusha River flows into it. Our place was located just between the village of Kriushino and the village of Gidrouzel. We again had to go onto the highway, turn left, first see how to go around the bay, having driven along the highway for about 1-2 km, we turned into a field near a large stone with the inscription “Big Nature Reserve BORODINO 1812.” (yes, yes, that same Borodino), (if you stand facing the stone, you turn right).

Then the road lies again in a field, the road was paved independently by cars, we didn’t have any reception from the navigator, so you just need to move towards the forest and imagine where the water is. After driving another 20 minutes through the field, we entered a forest plantation, another 5 minutes and you are at the long-awaited water!

The place here is beautiful, there were almost no tents compared to Blaznovo, coniferous forest, the shore is not very good at first, but then there is sand, no cliffs, not deep (little children swim). The third attempt was finally successful, we pitched a tent and finally settled here.

On low cars, I don’t recommend looking for a place over bumps; we tore off the fastenings from the radiator.

There are a lot of beautiful picturesque places in Moscow and the Moscow region, the most popular ones are easy to get to, there are a lot of posts on the Internet, but accordingly there will be tons of people (unless of course you relax on Mondays), so to find your secluded place, you will have to work hard.

We have already carried out our reconnaissance, I hope our experience will be useful to someone

I wish everyone a pleasant holiday!

Holidays in the Mozhaisk district of the Moscow region: how to get there?

In order to get to the Mozhaisk Sea, you need to decide from which settlement you are going to start the journey and what place you will choose to rest.

If you live somewhere near the reservoir, then choosing a route should not be difficult. Let's consider the option that involves the most powerful flow of tourists. Of course, this is the capital itself and its surrounding surrounding areas.

From Moscow you can reach your desired coordinates by car, bus or train.

· By car, people arrive either with the help of personal transport and a map (navigator), or by finding fellow travelers heading along the Mozhaisk (or first along the Minsk, and then along the main A100) highway. Moreover, from the city of Mozhaisk to the beginning of the reservoir it is only 10 minutes by car, although the entire road from the center of Moscow will be about 120 km.

· On railway transport(by train) from the Belorussky railway station in Moscow to the Mozhaisk railway station can be reached within two hours. Next you should move to the village (recreation center) as public transport in the form of minibuses and local buses, or in a more comfortable way by calling a taxi.

· By regular bus from Moscow to Mozhaisk from the Tushinskaya or Victory Park metro station you will get there in no more than an hour and a half. Then proceed in the same way as from the city’s railway station.

· Tourist transport. This is a simpler travel option, but not always budget-friendly. From agencies providing comprehensive holiday services, you can book a whole tour, which will include the trip itself and transfer, or simply join a tourist bus.

Winter and summer holidays on the Mozhaisk reservoir

If you enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing, then the Mozhaisk Sea may attract attention with its diversity of river fish, of which there are at least 30 different species.

The composition of the inhabitants of the reservoir is represented by pike perch, pike (which is specially bred in the village of Glazovo), perch, ruff, bream, roach, and eel. And less popular representatives, for example, tench, bream, bleak, burbot, dace or silver bream. Sometimes you can catch other families of freshwater from other places that accidentally swam from the Moscow River, thereby ending up in a habitat that is not entirely familiar to them. Such guests include carp and peled.

Often you can get a particularly large specimen on the hook, such as an asp. It can reach as much as six kg, although the average weight of this fish in the Mozhaisk Reservoir is approximately 2-3 kg. Pike perch is also often found large, reaching 10 kg; during normal fishing, count on an individual within 5 kg. You can also find bream fed on bloodworms, although due to its satiety it is not very susceptible to bait.

The abundance of ichthyofauna allowed the Mozhaisk Sea to strengthen its reputation as a good fishing place. Many settlements have special sports facilities for connoisseurs of sport and regular fishing. There you can rent and buy related equipment: fishing rods, nets, fish food, uniforms, even a boat (the use of officially registered small rowing and motor vessels is allowed).

The Mozhaisk reservoir is very long and has a large number of differences with hills (right coast) and depressions (left coast), the average depth is 10-12 meters. Picturesque fishing spots are represented by bays, small islands, rivers and flooded lakes. On the right side of the reservoir there is a steep edge with inherent dense vegetation, on the left side there is a more flat and open space. The bottom is mostly without sudden changes in relief, but there are snags that can get caught on an inflatable boat in shallow water.

Where is the best place to relax on the Mozhaisk Reservoir?

The Mozhaisk Reservoir is truly one of the most beautiful and popular vacation spots within reach for a city or metropolitan resident. Moreover, the tourism season in these parts does not stop all year round.

In the summer, tourists swim in warm fresh water, walk through the forest, picking mushrooms and berries, rollerblade, bicycle and scooter around the grounds, sail on boats, admiring the surrounding landscapes. In winter, winter fishing and hunting are open, and sports lovers go skiing and skating. The water freezes from about the end of November, turning into ice, reaching a thickness of a full meter.

You can go to the reservoir with your whole family or alone, renting a room in villages near the water, or stay on the very edge of the coast, enjoying nature and fresh air. The picturesque surroundings are represented by mixed coniferous-deciduous forests and ecologically clean water expanses of a vast territory.

There are recreation centers on the coast that offer tourism for every taste. Active guests visit the gyms and swimming pools, play football and volleyball, tennis and billiards both outdoors and indoors. Entertainment activities include nightclubs and karaoke. You can eat in cafes and restaurants where evenings are held entertainment programs. Baths and saunas are available for rent on the premises so you can relax on your holiday as you wish.

For lovers of excursions, there will also be exciting activities. Near it, the water remains shallow, so it warms up very well: up to a temperature of 30 ºС. In August, moderate climate changes begin, characterized by the opening of the velvet season.

Discover centuries-old historical monuments. Go to the Smolensk Church (Church of the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God), which is made in the amazing Baroque architectural style of late Spain. Create a tour to the Goretovo and Krasnovidovo estates. On the territory of the first there is a church and an ancient outbuilding with a colonnade. The second is famous in the past tense by Marshal G.K., who lives there. Zhukov, who led the staff of the Western Front at the beginning of the Second World War.
