S. Yasinya (village Chernaya Tisa) - Kotel town - ridge. Svidovets - Blyznitsa - Rakhiv city. Part 1. Yasinya. September 22nd, 2010

Yasinya. Pleasant village for 9100 souls. It was founded five hundred years ago, during the times of the great geographical discoveries, Hutsuls from Yaremche and Kosovo, who, obeying the spirit of that time, went to explore new fertile lands. These brave but unfortunate children of the mountains collected their simple belongings, loaded them onto carts and moved south. IN warmer climes. We heroically overcame a pass 950 meters above sea level. We walked 30 - 60 kilometers from our home and realized: “Here he is!” In a picturesque valley surrounded by the most high peaks Carpathians, founded a settlement, which is now called Yasinya.
Residents of the village of Rakhov, which is 30 km south of Yasinya. They call this place “Tundra” because: “in Yasin only children will be born well!”

For four hundred years the settlers lived hard. The Hungarian feudal lords mercilessly oppressed the local population. The main industry was logging and sheep breeding. But clean air and water had a special effect on the organisms of the Hutsuls, forcing them to multiply intensively.
In 1896, a station and a railway were built in Yasinya, and a train was launched to the capital, to Budapest itself! And the tourists went to Yasinya. True, this did not last long. The war began, and in 1918 Yasinya became the capital of the Hutsul Republic for several months.

After the war, Austria-Hungary disappeared. On the territory of the modern Transcarpathian region of Ukraine, the state of Carpathian Rus was formed, but it could not exist independently. The question was: who should I join? To Hungary, Russian Empire or to Czechoslovakia? The President of Czechoslovakia sent his representatives to get acquainted with Carpathian Russia. The backwardness and poverty of this region impressed them, and Czechoslovakia decided to abandon such happiness. What was recently called Russia had no time for Carpathian Rus. Then the Entente countries forced Czechoslovakia to annex this new republic so that it would not fall to Hungary. Life began to get better. The Czechs, we must give them their due, began to develop the region: build schools, roads, etc. Yasinya became a border town. And then it flourished due to cross-border trade smuggling. They launched a train into the capital, into Prague itself! Czech tourists appreciated this region and are still coming here to this day.

In 1945, Soviet power came. The border has moved 50 km to the south. Basic income from trade dried up. Trains stopped running because... piece railway, for some reason they forgot to chop it off from the Romanians, as a winner, and now there is no railway. message from regional center, as well as Prague, Budapest and other civilizations. There is only a train to Lviv. Local residents are still worried about this. They say that the Soviet officer, when drawing the border on the map, was drunk (he was deliberately drunk by the Romanians), he did not notice the railway running along the left bank of the Tisza and gave it to Romania. This is bad.

How do they live now? local residents? Not very good. Just like five hundred years ago, the forest is being cut down. Sheep are practically not raised. They demand humanitarian aid from Europe because... Every year they suffer from floods because the forests have been barbarously cut down. Many go to work in Europe. And the places here are the most beautiful!

Yasinya– a small village in the Transcarpathian region, the starting point for many routes in the Carpathians. From here the road leads to the mountains Goverla, Petros and Bliznitsa.
Nature has awarded this region with special beauty. Beautiful landscapes, fresh air and a feeling of complete isolation from the outside world attract all those who are in love with the mountains to summer and winter holidays in Yassin. A holiday in Yasin will give you an unforgettable experience that will fill you with activity for many months.

Are there many lovers? skiers They know that the ski season here begins in October and often ends in early June. This is hard to believe, but it is a fact and it also needs to be seen. Where else can you ski and sunbathe at the same time? And the mountain tan goes on so smoothly and lasts a long time. And we need to talk about air separately. Breathe, don't inhale. After all, the nearest air pollutant is hundreds of kilometers away. Which one rich story this region. Does everyone know that on January 8, 1919, a Hutsul Republic with its center in the village of Yasinya.

Now the active revival of the region has begun. Local population began to be active in creating conditions for normal recreation for tourists. The development of “Green tourism” has taken a special movement. Now you can go on vacation not to a crowded sanatorium or tourist center, but to relax peacefully in the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of a private cottage. A warm and welcoming welcome awaits everyone who wishes to come on holiday to Yasinya. Here you can get acquainted with the history and traditions of the inhabitants of the Carpathians, learn those parts of history that many have never heard of. If you wish, you can go fishing, or you can organize a walking tour. From here it is a stone's throw to Yaremche, Vorokhta, Yablunytsky Pass, and to the geographical center of Europe. Nearby, in the village of Kvasy, there is the Gornaya Tisa sanatorium, with a spring mineral water, which has no analogues in the world. Within twenty days of drinking this water, a person’s blood morphological composition is completely renewed. And it’s okay that the sanatorium itself, due to lack of proper funding, suspended its activities. After a major overhaul, the medical building of the health resort is constantly working. Highly qualified specialists with rich, many years of experience in treating diseases of the musculoskeletal system, hyperfunction of the thyroid gland, diseases of the liver and bile ducts will help solve many of your problems. It’s not at all difficult to wake up in the morning, after breakfast, literally ten to fifteen minutes later and begin receiving procedures in the medical building of the Gornaya Tisa sanatorium. The owners of the complex you choose for your vacation will take care of delivery by vehicle to the sanatorium and back. It’s also not difficult to go to the Dragobrat tract, located in the mountains, 16 kilometers above the village. And here at your service is a whole network of ski lifts, both for “pros” and for beginners, with a length of up to 1300 meters and with all the necessary infrastructure.

Dragobrat- the highest ski resort in Ukraine, located in the Transcarpathian region at an altitude of 1300-1700 m above sea level. There are 2 mountain roads leading to Dragobrat (the length of one is 9 km, the other is 18 km), both are in poor condition. Due to the poor condition of the roads, SUVs are actively used.

As they say, there is no smell of snow anywhere yet, but on Dragobrat they have already opened ski season. This happens year after year, because the Dragobrat ski resort is not just the highest mountain resort in the Carpathians (located at an altitude of 1.4...1.7 km above sea level). Due to its location and landscape, the Dragobrat tract has a unique microclimate: the ski season here lasts longer than anywhere else in Ukraine. And just like skiing are becoming more widespread, the popularity of the Dragobrat resort is growing.

The slopes of the Dragobrat ski resort are quite varied, but extreme sports enthusiasts will get the greatest pleasure here. According to one of these connoisseurs, it’s a real thrill for him when the wet snow on the descent is caught in the frost, “and you’re practically racing on ice.” The area in the vicinity of the Dragobrat camp site generally attracts freeriders: there are rapid descents, and tracks through the forest and across virgin soil. At the same time, the trails are marked, the edge of the ridge is indicated, beyond which skiing is not recommended. The resort's trails are prepared with snow compaction equipment. Unlimited riding possibilities skiing and snowboarding on virgin snow.

Equipment rental on Dragobrat costs 70-90 hryvnia. There are four lifts, one of them is for children. Length of two main lifts tourist complex Dragobrat– 1000 and 1200 meters. Also, other lifts have now appeared, including two chairlifts, at competing tourist complexes located “in a cluster” in the Dragobrat tract.

On Dragobrat there is a disco, a video salon, billiards, a kebab shop, and many saunas. But this is not all, there is one more, purely aesthetic touch. The Dragobrat camp site is located in a very picturesque place. The Dragobrat tract is located in the horseshoe of the Svydovetsky ridge, which, according to some avid travelers, is the most beautiful in the Carpathians. Climbing Mount Stog, you can see the famous peaks of Petros and Hoverla. And in the north a fragment of the Eastern Gorgan and the Doboshanka, Sinyak and Khomyak mountains open up...

A beautiful place in the Carpathians is the village of Yasinya. With my interesting story, a monument to the Strukov Church, listed by UNESCO and, of course, mountain slopes. Previously, the Transcarpathian region was for us just a center of light industry, timber harvesting, and furniture manufacturing. We didn’t know this region much at all; we were fascinated by the Crimea and the summer sea holidays. But in last years, when Bukovel GC opened, and other resorts followed, like Dragobrat, Yasinya, Ivano-Frankivsk, the whole world learned about Ukrainian Carpathians. Our website has launched active work to promote the Transcarpathian region on the Internet. We help you learn about the sights of Western Ukraine, familiarize yourself with photographs, prices, reviews and navigate well in the sea of holiday offers. If we are talking about choosing accommodation to stay in Yassin during the high season, then evaluate your spending budget and try to plan your vacation from the first to the last last day. This is an urban-type settlement. When settling on its territory, you can always visit the peaks in Dragobrat for a change. There is a daily shuttle service. By the way, they will be higher than in Yassin. Here you will find everything you need for living and recreation. The only thing is that there are difficulties with pharmacies and first aid stations, so try to stock up on first aid and not get sick.

The Carpathians in the village of Yasinya are not only a unique region, but also a good winter resort. It is located at an altitude of 650 m above sea level. The snow remains here until the end of May and this good opportunity for skiers to practice their craft for half a year a year. I must say how beautiful these places, landscapes and cleanest air. Meadows, forests and mountains converge here. Such beauty is subject only to mother nature. The Carpathians in the village of Yasinya are represented by such unique folk crafts, slightly forgotten in our time, as wood carving, weaving, embroidery. They love it here national cuisine, folk songs and Hutsul dances. For many years, the amateur song and dance ensemble “Hutsulshchyna” was famous. He toured throughout the Union. Now the palm has been taken away by local ski resorts. Yasinya lies 25 km from. So, if you have chosen housing in the village, . This will be useful for general familiarization and new impressions.

You can talk for hours about the village of Yasinya, how euphonious its name sounds, tenderly and drawn-out. But, as people say, better times to see is to hear a hundred times. Take a train ticket or get into a car and go for new adventures and photos for your travel album.

Accommodation

40 km from the geographical center of Europe, where the most high mountains Ukraine - Hoverla, Petros and Bliznitsa, in the valley between the Svydovetsky and Chernogorsky ranges, where the mountain rivers Chernaya Tisa and Lazeshchina merge - the village of Yasinya is located.
Yasinya has a very convenient geographical location for tourists: the path to the most popular ski resorts in Ukraine - Bukovel and Dragobrat - passes through the village, and renting housing here can be much cheaper.
There are two trails with a slight elevation difference and rope tows in the village itself: on Mount Kostyrivka in the center of Yasin and in the Mlaki tract.

Story

Now just over 9,000 people live here, but the village has a glorious history. The first written mention of the village dates back to 1555. And it owes its name to the shepherd Struk, who grazed sheep here, but was unable to drive his flock home due to suddenly falling deep snow. Then the shepherd built a sheepfold for the sheep out of ash and left them to spend the winter. And when he returned, all the sheep were safe. As a token of gratitude to God, Struk built a small wooden church, which has since been called Strukovskaya. Since then, the symbol of the village has become clear. He gave the name to the village; he is depicted both on the ancient seal and on the modern coat of arms of Yasin. A wooden church Ascension of the Lord, or Strukovskaya (1824) is an architectural monument. This is one of the most famous wooden churches in Ukraine, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2013.
On November 8, 1918 (St. Dmitry's Day), a meeting of residents of Yasin and surrounding villages decided to join Ukraine and elected the Ukrainian People's Council. The Hungarian government sent a gendarme battalion, which established an occupation regime. At the beginning of January, the residents of Yasin raised an uprising, proclaimed the Hutsul Republic, recognized it as part of the Western Ukrainian People's Republic and, with parts of the UGA, organized a campaign against Sighet, during which they liberated the village of Kvasy, the city of Rakhiv, the village of Bolshoy Bychkov and the city of Sighet. In the battles for Sighet, the troops of the Hutsul Republican Army were defeated.
The Hutsul Republic existed until June 1919, when Romanian troops occupied Yasinya. Subsequently, by decision of the Saint-Germain Peace Conference, Yasinya, like all of Transcarpathia, was annexed to Czechoslovakia.
In 1938, the Yasin residents supported the proclaimed Carpathian Ukraine and took an active part in the war against Horthy Hungary, but in 1939, near Khust, the troops of the Carpathian Ukraine were defeated. During 1944-1953 many residents of the village joined the ranks of the UPA and led the liberation struggle for the independence of Ukraine.

Present tense

The basis of the village's economy is sheep breeding, cattle breeding, beekeeping, hunting, timber harvesting and wood processing, and folk crafts. Wood carving, leather and wool processing, original Hutsul weaving and embroidery are developed in Yasinya.

Yasinya - tourism center

Thanks to convenient geographical location The tourism and recreation industry is actively developing in Yasinya. You can relax here in any season. The largest influx of tourists is in winter, because the most famous ski resorts in Ukraine Dragobrat and Bukovel are located nearby, but the cost of renting housing there is much higher than in Yasinya. The town of Yaremche, the tourist Mecca of the Carpathians, is 50 km away. And in the village itself and its surroundings there is something to see. Walks in the mountains, traditional for the Carpathians, provide an opportunity to lose extra pounds acquired from sitting at the computer around the clock, breathe healing air, admire the unique mountain landscapes, and also pick mushrooms and berries.
In recent years, the highlight of Yasin has been bathing in the Hutsul vat.
