Prices for tours to Phu Quoc island in 2019

The cost of tours to Phu Quoc in high season is from 100 thousand rubles for two (10 nights, departure from Moscow). Compared to other super popular resorts in Vietnam - Nha Trang and Mui Ne - the price is only 20-30 thousand rubles higher. Sometimes you can buy an inexpensive one. In the low season (summer), the cost of tours is slightly lower.

Ticket prices

There are no direct flights yet - with the exception of charter flights. All with one or two transfers: in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and other cities. Tickets from Moscow cost from 20 thousand rubles roundtrip - this is the most low price. On average, air tickets cost 30-40 thousand rubles.

Our experience. We flew to Phu Quoc not from Russia, but from Thailand after a vacation. First, we flew to Ho Chi Minh City, and from there we flew to Phu Quoc using the low-cost airline VietJet. We recommend getting to the island from Saigon only by air! The journey by land and water will take almost a day and will be very tiring, and the difference in price is not very large. Our airfare was $37 per person plus $7 for luggage.

Hotel prices in Fukuoka in 2019

Long Beach in Fukuoka has the most developed infrastructure. All life and most of hotels are concentrated in the north near the city of Duong Dong and in the center of the beach. There are also hotels in the south of the beach, but mostly these are expensive resorts, the surrounding area is deserted and there is major construction going on. There you feel like you are in a post-apocalyptic film: huge spaces, empty unfinished hotels and not a single person.

If it is important for you to have a choice, settle in the north and in the center: there are many restaurants and cafes, there is a night market and shops, in general - life.

We stayed in Fukuoka in 5 different hotels and resorts. Of these, we especially liked The Hill Resort - we recommend it!

Food prices in Fukuoka - 2019

They are higher than on the mainland: ordinary Vietnamese dishes (rice or noodles with meat) in a cafe cost from 60,000 VND, dishes with seafood - from 80,000 VND. When we left Fukuoka, everything seemed unusually cheap. It's hard not to order seafood rice when it costs VND30,000!

The cheapest place to eat in the tourist area is in cafes for locals and in Duong Dong. Fruits are inexpensive and sold everywhere. After sunset there is a night market.

How to get around in Fukuoka?

There are buses, but they run rarely. We, like all tourists, rented a bike and used a taxi - this is the most convenient.

You can find a bike on the street along Long Beach for VND 150,000. Almost every hotel offers to rent an iron horse.

Transport to the airport. We recommend taking a taxi - 13,000 VND per km. From airport to tourist area according to the meter approximately 120-150,000 VND, to Duong Dong - from 150,000 VND. Take a metered taxi - it's cheaper. Some hotels offer free shuttle service.

They write on the Internet about a mythical shuttle bus from JetStar for VND 50,000, but we never found it at the airport. But in the city they were seen standing alone in a vacant lot.

Shopping

Shopping on Phu Quoc Island is so-so. What can you buy here? Pearls, souvenirs, some clothes.

Pearls are available both at the night market and in specialized stores (including pearl farms). Pearl prices in Fukuoka: on the market, a string costs 250-600,000 VND, pendants - 150-200,000 VND, bracelets - 50-200,000 VND. Tourists are advised to buy in branded stores.

Souvenirs are standard: plates, lacquer boxes, fans, figurines, masks, hats, scarves. Prices were not specified.

There is clothing on the market, but not much: T-shirts, blouses, shoes, shorts. In stores in Duong Dong, men's denim shorts can be purchased for VND 200,000, women's from VND 250,000.

Our expenses

We vacationed in Fukuoka for three weeks in the winter and met on the island. Lived in different places: in a cheap guesthouse in Duong Dong for $9 per night, in a hotel for $25 and three resorts for $25-40 per night on Long Beach. We ate both in establishments for locals and in tourist cafes. We bought fruit every day. We rented a bike for three days and drove around all the beaches and attractions of the island on our own; we didn’t buy any excursions.
