In most metropolitan areas, minibuses may again appear legally on a number of city streets early next year. This was one of the results of the conclusion of the Agreement on Transport Services between the Governments of Moscow and the Moscow Region. Thanks to him, the transport departments of both regions approved new “adjacent interregional” suburban routes operating at unregulated tariffs.

Long live minibuses?

This means that transportation tariffs and benefits will be set by the carriers themselves. For routes in the Moscow region, in this case, the Strelka card works only as an electronic wallet, from which an amount of money is debited during the trip in the amount invented by the carrier. But Troika cards and social cards have never worked on such routes before.

In addition to cash payment to the driver, most approved routes will be associated with “minibuses” among passengers also due to the dimensions of the rolling stock. More than 90% of them will be represented by small-class buses (minibuses). Formally, these routes can stop only at certain stops from the approved list. But in the absence of proper control, the “route” method of boarding and disembarking passengers can be widely used in any area not prohibited by the Rules. traffic place. After all, the financial interests of carriers, in contrast to work under government contracts within the framework, depend primarily on the number of passengers transported. And not from rewards for compliance with the conditions set by state customers of transportation.

The newly agreed routes were divided into two groups - “routes starting from the territory of Moscow” and “routes starting from the territory of the Moscow region.” The corresponding regional authorized body will organize transportation for each of the lists.

The Moscow Region Ministry of Transport has already begun holding competitions for the right to service newly approved routes. The results will be summed up at the end of December, and carriers will be able to start operating routes in January-February. A little later, the capital’s Department of Transport will begin selecting carriers.

"Old Friends"

The routes of many of the approved (“established”) routes are already familiar to passengers in the Moscow region. It so happened that several dozen routes had the approval of only one side - either Moscow or the regional one, although they operated in both constituent entities of the Russian Federation. After adoption, a new mechanism for settling relations between neighbors appeared. An Interdepartmental Coordination Council has been created, and the lists of public transport routes are partially kept the same, but otherwise they are written “from scratch.”

Routes from the “regional” part of the register acquired the letter “k” behind the number - this is how buses operating at unregulated tariffs are now distinguished. Moscow, on the contrary, only this year practically finished getting rid of routes with the letter “m” at the end, which represented the so-called “minibuses” over the past decade.

It is curious that some of the “new” routes have almost complete analogues among previously existing ones. In this case, the “old” ones will work alongside the “new” ones and will be serviced by the same carrier, since both routes from such pairs are included in the same lot. Some routes were already given different numbers by the capital’s Department of Transport, but had not previously found support from their regional colleagues. “Resetting” the history of the relationship between the two transport departments, in which in recent years even mutual multimillion-dollar fines of the main state carriers (SUE Mosgortrans and SUE MO Mostransavto) have occurred, also reset the numbering of many routes. After holding competitions and concluding new contracts, the routes of some existing suburban and intercity routes will be shortened.

Yes, routes No. 310k from Taldom and No. 415k from Dubna they will change the terminus at the Savelovsky station to the Altufyevo metro station. Route No. 457k from Mozhaisk will be shortened to the Slavyansky Boulevard metro station instead of Victory Park.

And the routes No. 483k from Protvin and № 490 from Aprelevka, the first of the regional routes will have final stops at the Salaryevo metro station, instead of the previous ones at Yugo-Zapadnaya.

Other routes are more “tailored” for Muscovites who use shopping centers outside the Moscow Ring Road in regional territories.

But among the newly established routes there are also routes whose path cannot but cause surprise.

First of all, the route № 1187 . Leninsky Prospekt, cleared of minibuses along almost the entire length from Garden Ring, risks having minibuses on its roadway again in the near future. The capital register of adjacent interregional routes has approved the route of this route along Leninsky Prospect, 26 Baku Commissars, Pokryshkina, Nikulinskaya, Michurinsky Prospekt, Ozernaya Street, MKAD streets, with most intermediate stops. “Novodel” is longer than its predecessors – minibuses No. 553m And 62m, reaching from “Oktyabrskaya” at best only to “Yugo-Zapadnaya”. But the route № 1187 will rush towards the border of the Moscow region. 20 of the 21 kilometers of this route pass through the territory of Moscow, while the Oktyabrskaya metro station is located 12 kilometers further into the city from the “intercepting” metro station Yugo-Zapadnaya.
