History of the airline

CA airline was established in 1988, according to a government decision. Until this time, all passenger transportation in the country was carried out within the framework of the activities of the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Following the split, six separate airlines were formed, including Air China. The company received the status of the main international and transcontinental carrier. After the division of assets, all the ministry's existing long-haul aircraft were put into operation by Air China.

In 1994, the company abandoned government regulation and began autonomous operations. The prerequisites for this decision were successful cooperation with Lufthansa and an increase in equity capital through the establishment of an aircraft maintenance center - Ameco Beijing.

Since 2000, after merging with the national carrier China National Aviation, the company launched direct flights to London. In the period from 2001 to 2004, merger procedures were carried out with a number of leading companies in the country. This launched Air China into the international market.

Since 2010, a service for selling combined tickets was introduced. Passengers on domestic routes were given the opportunity to use ground transportation by bus as part of their air ticket. The company was the first in China to launch in-flight wireless Internet service in 2011.

Today the company provides a full service cycle:

  • air transportation of passengers and cargo;
  • aircraft maintenance, repair and modernization;
  • terminal service;
  • other services related to the organization of catering and the provision of in-flight services.

AIR CHINA ranks second among Chinese airlines and at the same time is the only one that is allowed to use the national flag as a symbol. In addition, it is this company that provides aviation services to the President of the People's Republic of China and government officials from both China and other countries arriving on business visits to China. This fact undoubtedly speaks to the special status of the airline as a state air carrier.

The AIR CHINA company dates back to 1988. It appeared as a result of the division of all civil aviation in the state into independent airlines. Already in the first year of operation, the company's profit exceeded $100 million. In 1994, the policy of abolishing state regulation made it possible to attract foreign investment in the development of the company, as a result of which the cash flow exceeded $1 billion.

Over the next years, the company absorbed several smaller airlines, thereby increasing its fleet and significantly expanding its flight geography.

In 2007, AIR CHINA became part of the largest airline alliance.

The main base of AIR CHINA in China is located in Beijing, and in Moscow this place is Sheremetyevo Airport.

The airline's fleet is quite diverse and consists of several aircraft models. These are Boeing 777, Boeing 747, Airbus A340, and many others. Each aircraft is equipped with a modern security system.

For many years now, China has been a favorite destination for tourists from all over the world. Cities such as Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai are among the most popular destinations. It is in these cities, as well as in the surrounding provinces, that tourists can enjoy the most beautiful places in the country and get acquainted with its attractions. AIR CHINA will provide everyone with this opportunity at affordable prices.

The high level of service on board the airline's aircraft will only enhance your vacation. On the company's official website you can take a virtual tour of the cabin of any aircraft and know in advance exactly what you are paying money for.

Like most other airlines, AIR CHINA invites its regular customers to take part in the Phoenix Miles loyalty program, where everyone can, having accumulated the appropriate number of bonuses, exchange them for a ticket or a favorite service.
