Rest in Dombay. For those who are planning a vacation in Dombai in the summer, Teberdinsky Nature Reserve

We talk about our vacation in Dombay and how much the trip costs: prices for hotels, food and ski lifts in 2019, as well as for excursions and travel to the resort.

The oldest ski resort in our country is worth visiting at least once. And although the infrastructure leaves much to be desired, the nature in the vicinity of the resort is beyond praise.

How to get to Dombay

Dombay is located on the Russian border with Abkhazia. The road there is a dead end, further only the Main Caucasus Range. So, how can you get to Dombay?

Airplane + bus or taxi

The nearest airport is in Min. Waters (Stavropol is also suitable). The cost of tickets from Moscow to Min. Water low - from 3500 rubles in both directions in winter and from 6000 rubles in summer. Find tickets on Skyscanner.

So, you have arrived, and then difficulties arise - there are no regular buses to Dombay, only with transfers (via Cherkessk, Teberda). Check the information on the website of the Gulliver carrier; direct flights are still organized in winter. For those who value convenience and do not want to waste time, we advise you to order a transfer from the service - it is more reliable than contacting local bombers.

From the bus station Min. You can get there by bus to Teberda (from 470 rubles one way), and from there by taxi or bus to Dombay.

The fogs in Dombay are very beautiful.

Train/bus + bus or taxi

Buses from Stavropol, Rostov, Pyatigorsk, Nevinnomyssk, Krasnodar

Automobile

A trip to Dombay by car is one of the most convenient ways to get to the resort, and we chose it. The road is good, except for the section from Kislovodsk to Karachaevsk. There are sections being repaired between Cherkessk and Karachaevsk. There is no gas station in Dombay, refuel in Teberda.

Personal experience. We vacationed in Dombay twice in the off-season (October 2016 and 2018). For the first time we lived in a beautiful place for 1600 rubles per day. The hotel was carefully chosen based on reviews. The price-quality ratio is ideal, it’s quiet, the owners are sincere, the food is very tasty. There was always hot water and independent heating, and this was our main criterion when choosing a hotel in the cool season.

It's nice to ride on the old Soviet ski lifts in Dombay, especially with warm tea.

How to choose a hotel for a holiday in Dombay:

  • If you find a hotel at a discount on the website, it is better to book, since without a reservation the price for a room will be 300-500 rubles higher.
  • Carefully read the reviews of other tourists: there is useful information about the Internet, heating and hot water - there are problems with this in Dombay.
  • In the off-season, choose a hotel with independent heating.
  • Vacationers from the Stavropol and Krasnodar Territories come for the weekend. They make it noisy, there are no parking spaces, and the hotels are overcrowded.
  • If you are driving, check about parking.

We treat waterfalls without unnecessary trepidation, but we love Chuchkhur waterfalls. They are especially beautiful when framed in gold. The streams fall down in cascades from about 250 meters in height. You can feel the power of mountain rivers here!

Prices for tours to Dombay in 2019

The cost of tours is indicated for two people with departure from Moscow and may vary.

If you do not want to organize your holiday in Dombay yourself, then you can buy a tour. Vouchers in 2019 cost from 17 thousand rubles for 7 nights in a three-star hotel without meals, but on average - 30 thousand for two.

Prices increase closer to the New Year: on holiday dates, tours already cost from 45 thousand rubles for 5 nights (with breakfast) and from 40 thousand for 3 nights. In winter 2019, tours to Dombay for 3-5 nights cost from 25 thousand rubles, for 7 nights - from 35 thousand. There are very few offers, so hurry to book.

Prices for a ski pass in Dombay in 2019 for a new ski lift (RUB):

Screenshot from the site dombaj.ru.

We chose the old one Soviet the lift because of its obvious advantages: excellent visibility and a dose of extreme sports (the chairs breathe badly, they creak, there is not always protection). Price - 250 rubles per person for one turn (round trip), that is, 1000 rubles for all ascents and descents. We were a little unlucky, and on that day there was a planned power outage in the village, so all the cable cars were running on generators, and during the ascent on the first stage we were completely stuck halfway. The rise is up to 3002 meters, further to the top you can easily climb on foot.

Is there some more "Yugoslavka"- a double chairlift, which duplicates the fifth stage of the Soviet ski lift, but the final station is slightly lower than the 5th. Price - 100 rubles for an adult, 150 for a child under 13 years old, ticket for 1 day - 500 rubles.

On the pendulum cable car there are 2 red carriages, which can accommodate up to 35 people each. They go to the slope of Mussa-Achitara. The cost for tourists is 300 rubles, for skiers - 200, for children under 10 years old - 150, and for children under 5 years old - free.

Hiking to the top of Mussa-Achitara - the elevation gain will be approximately 100 meters. You can get up in 15-20 minutes.

Prices for equipment rental in Dombay

We saw a lot of signs advertising equipment rentals both in the village itself and at the cable car stations, so you don’t have to worry about it. It also doesn’t cost anything to rent equipment at a hotel - almost every hotel does this kind of business.

Thus, you can go on vacation to Dombay lightly. Prices for equipment rental in 2019 are as follows: a standard set (sticks, boots, skis or snowboard) costs from 500 rubles per day, goggles - from 200 rubles, gloves - from 150, overalls - from 250 rubles. Deposit - passport or money.

Instructor services usually cost from 1,500 rubles per hour.

Prices for food in Dombay in cafes and shops

Prices for food in Dombay in summer and winter are almost the same and depend on the level of the establishment. You can save a little on your trip to Dombay by choosing a hotel with breakfast included, which is what we did - we highly recommend the hotel. We lived there for 5 days. Breakfasts are served very hearty, varied, there is always a main dish (for example, we had porridge, khychin, buckwheat with sausage, dumplings, omelet), tea and pastries.

Prices in cafes and restaurants Dombaya in 2019:

  • River and lake trout - from 250 rubles per serving (usually one large fish).
  • Khychins - from 130-200 per piece. You can’t guess with them: they are small with meager filling, and sometimes they are so big that even two people can’t handle them at a time.
  • Mountain-style meat and Karachay-style meat - from 250 rubles.
  • A kettle of mountain tea with honey or jam - from 150 rubles per 0.5 liter.
  • Lagman and shurpa - 150-250 rubles per serving (lagman can be quite spicy).

You can eat in a cafe for 500-1000 rubles for two. The Metelitsa cafe on the main street offers business lunches for 300-350 rubles. There are also many cafes and restaurants at the cable car stations; the cost of food there is higher.

Our hike to the Alibek glacier. Take a thermos with hot tea and some snacks on every trip.

Prices for products in stores Dombaya is like in small provincial shops. The cost of some products, mainly fruits, is overestimated by about 20%:

  • Tangerines (kg) - from 130 rubles.
  • Kefir and milk (1 l) - from 70 rubles.
  • Lavash - from 20 rubles.
  • Khychiny (pieces) - from 100 rubles.
  • Baklava (kg) - 350 rubles.

Excursions, entertainment, routes

There is no shortage of excursions and entertainment - holidays in Dombay are very diverse. Prices in 2019:

  • ATV rental - about 2000 rubles;
  • guide services - from 1000 rubles per group;
  • fishing - from 500 rubles per person;
  • horse riding tours - from 1000 rubles per person per day of riding.

There is one caveat: if you are going to explore the surrounding area, you will have to apply for a pass to the border zone - the village is surrounded by the Teberdinsky Biosphere Reserve, in addition, the border with Abkhazia passes nearby. Previously, it had to be done in advance (2-3 days in advance) in Cherkessk, but now you can get it directly from the forester on the route for free. We got it done in just 5 minutes; you need to have your passport with you and fill out a form.

Fields of fireweed on the road to the Chuchkhur glacier.

All routes in the reserve are paid. Here are the cost of admission to the most popular attractions:

  • Chuchkhur waterfalls - 150 rubles per person;
  • Amanauz gorge, to the Devil's Mill and Sofrudzhinsky waterfall - 100 rubles;
  • Gonachkhir gorge - 150 rubles per person;
  • Alibek glacier and waterfall - 100 rubles per person.

The Chuchkhur glacier is located a few kilometers from the waterfalls.
There are many bears in the vicinity of Dombay, but, according to locals, they are not aggressive or dangerous. We found this bear track on Mount Toguzkelbashi.

Skiing has been uninteresting since the end of April. At the very top of Mussa-Achitara there is snow right up to the end of June, but this is “summer” snow - wet, sticky. As for tourism, you can go well already in May. You just need to take into account that there is still a lot of snow in May-June (it lies in shady corners and where higher on the slopes, below and in the sun everything is clean, greenery blooms). The summer holiday season ends around October. September is very good - the best summer month in Dombay. October is already much colder, but it is a paradise for photographers and lovers of visual beauty. Golden autumn, crimson maples and yellow birches, blue skies and bright, clean first snow on the peaks - this is October in Dombay.

In summer, Dombay is no less interesting than during the skiing season. A large number of excursion routes around the territory diverge from the clearing Teberda Nature Reserve to majestic natural monuments included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Hiking and Nordic walking are popular in Dombay; you can also rent a mountain bike, rent an all-terrain vehicle with a driver, or go on horseback along the route. There is also a deltadrome here.

Beach lovers will also find something for themselves. Crystal clear melt water in some of the mountain lakes warms up to temperatures of more than 20 degrees. Due to its structure and saturation with phytoncides, it has high healing and rejuvenating properties. Beaches and places for recreation are equipped near such reservoirs.

To see all the beauty of the surroundings of Dombay, it is advisable to come here for a few days, in the warm season, preferably with the whole family. Even five-year-old children tirelessly walk long routes to the glaciers and then do not want to leave these amazing, majestic and clean places.

In summer, from Dombayskaya meadow you can go to Chukhchursky waterfall(Small waterfall), rustling near the entrance to the gorge of the Ptysh River. The Chukhchur stream, breaking through a deep channel, roars down in powerful cascades from ledge to ledge and, having reached the valley, rushes madly towards the nearby Ptysh. Having merged, Chukhchur (Chuchkhur) and Ptysh form the Dombay-Ulgen River. The waterfall offers a wonderful view of the peaks and glaciers of the Main Range, which are not visible from the Dombai Valley. Most accessible for inspection Alibek glacier, whose area is 9.75 m² (and the most powerful glacier in Dombay is the Northern Ptysh). At the beginning of the ascent along the moraine you can see Alibek waterfall. At the junction of two moraines of the Alibek and Bilingual glaciers there is a small, exceptionally clean Turje Lake.

In the depths of the harsh gorge of a stormy river Amanauz, from a glacial grotto, which you will not see even in a science-fiction film, falls from a height of several tens of meters Sofrudzhuk waterfall(Sofrudzhinsky). It scatters diamond splashes around and rushes like a curtain of water, creating a unique spectacle.

On the northern slopes of the Mussa-Achitara ridge, in the basins there are picturesque lakes with surprisingly clear water. In these places, the comparison “lakes are the eyes of the Earth” involuntarily comes to mind. This is how they are - clean, transparent, reflecting the blue skies - the eyes of our mother earth.

To the north, behind the neighboring Gonachkhirsky ridge in the Ullu-Murudzhu river gorge (in the upper reaches) - Murudzhinsky lakes, in the Gonachkhirsky valley and upstream in the Klukhori gorge (old Military-Sukhumi road) at an altitude of 1850 m - Lake Tumanly-Gel(Trout). We rise from the Northern Shelter to Lake Klukhor. The trail offers a panoramic view of the Main Caucasus Range. The stream flowing out of the lake forms the Upper Klukhor waterfall, the height of its fall is 35-40 m. The lake itself lies in a deep rock recess at an altitude of 2700 m. Its length is 500 m, width 400 m, depth - up to 35 m. The lake is free of ice by mid-summer. Along the lake there is a rather steep road leading to the Klukhor Pass, from here on a clear morning you can see the Black Sea; here the descent to the Southern Shelter and the sea begins.

Summer is a great time to travel. A backpack for the shoulders and for the mountains. Where? For example, in Dombay. Many people know this village in Karachay-Cherkessia as a popular ski resort, but this is only one side of Dombay! The village is located on the border Teberda State Natural Biosphere Reserve, along which there are many routes to unique natural sites.

Do you want to know about the most beautiful and amazing places? Especially for you - a review of the best places in the vicinity of the village of Dombay from the ProstoR team.

The most famous and beloved by travelers Dombay gorge is called Alibek. For many decades, climbers have begun their ascents to the legendary peaks of Dombay from the Alibek gorge. The path passes through the gorge to the Alibek waterfall, where a powerful ice stream falls from a height of 25 m.

Tip: In order not to tire yourself with a long walk and see as much as possible on the spot, you can order a transfer to the gorge itself. UAZ cars stand right in front of the savings bank building in the village of Dombay.

Dombay-Ulgen Gorge- got its name from the highest mountain in the Western Caucasus - Dombay-Ulgen (4046m). The path to it lies through Russian glade. The route through the gorge is not difficult and does not require special physical training. Local residents say that the sun always lives here. In spring and summer you will see alpine meadows with fragrant herbs. While walking through the gorge, stunning views of the snow-capped peaks open up Musa-Achitary, Main Caucasian Ridge and Dombay-Ulgen. After passing through the gorge you come to a cascade of waterfalls called Chuchhursky. If you go from the waterfalls to the right, you will pass to the Ptyshsky gorge. Previously, you could get through it to Abkhazia, but now this passage is closed, since the border post is not working.

Tip: Russkaya Polyana is a great place to stop. Here you can relax, admire the views and even sunbathe. In the middle of the clearing you can see a strangely shaped stone; some see the silhouette of a bison in it; according to legend, if you make a wish near this stone, it will definitely come true. Chuchkhur waterfalls are a beautiful cascade of three streams. From the top there is a stunning view of the surrounding area.

The perfect opposite of bright, sunny Dombay-Ulgen - Amanauz gorge. Amanauz means evil mouth in Karachay, and for good reason. This is the narrowest gorge in Dombay. Severe and unapproachable. The path first goes through a tall fir forest. Then, it winds between the stones and leads to the Devil's Mill canyon. Here the Amanauz River overflows its banks and falls down in a noisy stream. This walk offers more and more stunning views of the snow-capped, glacier-covered peaks of Dombay. Many small waterfalls run down the rocky slopes. The main one is Sufrudzhinky. A stream of water bursts out from a glacial grotto.

Tip: Keep a close eye on the weather in Dombay before heading into this gorge. The route is not difficult, but there are sections that are especially dangerous in bad weather.

According to many travelers, the most beautiful route in the vicinity of Dombay is Baduk Lakes. The path to them goes through a shady coniferous forest. Having overcome this section, you will find yourself at the confluence of the mountain rivers Baduk and Khadzhibey. Then, a variety of deciduous trees appear. And then you will meet three lakes of incredible beauty. Black, green and turquoise. They reveal themselves to the traveler one after another, striking with their grandeur and amazing, incomparable beauty.

Advice: to fully enjoy the beauty of the lakes, the best time to visit them is summer, then the lakes can become much smaller due to low rainfall; the third lake practically dries up in late autumn.

Another stunning route leads to the highlands Murudzhinsky lakes. It is possible to walk the route only a few months a year. It does not require special mountaineering training, but it is difficult to call it simple due to the high altitude gain. Be prepared to meet truly wild nature! In a few days you will pass through shady coniferous and deciduous forests, climb to subalpine meadows, and continue your way higher into the mountains, where there is very little vegetation, but incredible views and stunning starry... By the way, you will definitely see it on this hike - at least one overnight stay in tents awaits you.

The lakes themselves are located at an altitude of 3000 m. Blue and black, separated by a mountain bridge, they look like the magical multi-colored eyes of a dragon.

Advice: The route to the lakes is closed, since the lakes are located in the quiet territory of the Teberdinsky Nature Reserve and if you go to them on your own, you can be forcibly removed from the route by the reserve’s employees and brought to administrative responsibility.

Between Dombay and Teberda there is an ancient Senite Temple. It has stood proudly and majestically in these parts since the 10th century. This is one of the ancient temples in Russia. Byzantine architects worked on it. From the outside, the building fascinates with its simple harmonious lines. Inside you will be surprised by the skillful colored frescoes. In this place you can feel a special atmosphere, the spirit of the times.

From the hill there is a magical view of the Teberda River. Lake Kara-Kel is located nearby. It is known for the warmest water temperatures and the rich dark color of the water.

The beautiful Shumka waterfall is also located in these parts. A walk to it gives the most pleasant emotions - here you can enjoy the smell of pine needles, the sound of a mountain river and swimming in the invigorating streams of a waterfall.

Advice: visiting these places will not take very much time and does not require special physical preparation, but will definitely bring a lot of pleasure and vivid emotions.

You can see this and much more on your trip to Dombay.

If you want your vacation to be as comfortable and eventful as possible - choose your trip, book your seats and go!

Holidays in Dombay 2019

Dombay is the very charm of Russian nature! The external appearance and internal content of the village personifies all the delights of a holiday in the mountains. Dombay is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Russia. The village is better known as a ski resort, but people relax there all year round. The annual number of guests spending their holidays in Dombay exceeds 300 thousand. In winter, the throughput of the village is impressive, and in summer, the tranquility conquers.

Dombay is located in a mountain pit formed by the slopes of the Main Caucasus Range. The village is located on the territory of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic. The second name of Dombay sounds like Dombay Glade. Indeed, the village looks like a cozy clearing among the tall mountains. Dombay lies in the basin of the Teberda River, which along the path of its flow forms charming and mysterious beauties. Near the village there are many beautiful places - gorges, waterfalls, lakes. In spring, the river fills as a result of melting snow and overflows rapidly. The mountains surrounding Dombay have different heights. The highest point near the village is Mount Dombay-Yolgen. Dombay itself is located at an altitude of approximately 1600 meters above sea level, located between three gorges at the confluence of three rivers - Alibek, Dombay-Ulgen and Amanauz.

Holidays in Dombay are very popular among tourists. They travel to the village mainly by car, since this is the most convenient way to get to the resort. Dombay is located in a river and mountain valley at a decent altitude, so it goes without saying that the village has neither a railway station nor an airport. But there is a good bus station that receives and sends regular buses from all cities of Russia. Going on vacation to Dombay by bus is a good option to get to the resort without transfers.

By car you can get to Dombay along well-known highways and civilized highways. And even between Teberda and the final destination a decent road has already been built. Those traveling from distant regions of Russia need to take the M-4 Don highway to Rostov-on-Don, and after that choose one of two directions. You can drive to Dombay through Stavropol or turn to Tikhoretsk. Then the road is intuitive, there are signs everywhere. The movement of cars heading to Dombay is carried out through Nevinnomyssk, Cherkessk and Teberda. For Teberda, you must pay a state fee for crossing the territory of the reserve.

Another question is how to get to Dombay by train. There are several large railway stations in the area around the village. They are located in Nevinnomyssk, Cherkessk, Mineralnye Vody, and also in the city of Nalchik. From any of the above cities it is easy to get to Dombay. However, there are not direct bus services from everywhere to the village. Sometimes it is necessary to change trains in Teberda. You can also take a taxi or order a transfer from the hotel.

You can get to Dombay by plane through the Mineralnye Vody airport. This is the nearest airport, located just 200 kilometers from the village. The advantage of traveling to Dombay by plane is speed. The downside is the need for a transplant. From Mineralnye Vody you can get to Dombay by taxi, bus or via an ordered transfer. Even if a transfer is not provided at your future place of residence, a taxi can be ordered in advance by contacting the appropriate company by phone or online. This method of ordering a car will be the most reliable and profitable.

Upon arrival in Dombay, the question inevitably arises: where to stay for the duration of your vacation. Today there are absolutely no problems with this in the village. True, it is better to book accommodation for the winter period in advance, since upon arrival only those places that other vacationers have refused may be free. The reasons for refusal can be different and quite significant, such as an unreasonably high price or uncomfortable living conditions. Naturally, all people have different criteria for comfort. However, the best places to stay in Dombay during the height of the winter season are definitely busy. In summer, housing in the village is much easier. You can come to Dombay and rent a quality room at an affordable price without much difficulty.

Prices for holidays in Dombay vary and depend on the time of year. In winter, it is most expensive to vacation in the village, since it is with this time of year that vacations in Dombay are mainly associated. The difference with summer prices is quite significant. A hotel room in summer costs 1.5-2 times cheaper than in winter. At the same time, the demand for housing in winter increases several times. It is recommended to book rooms and cottages in advance in mid-autumn. A particularly large influx of tourists is typical during the New Year holidays. Most people want to celebrate the New Year's fairy tale in such picturesque places as Dombay. Vacations during the holidays are the most expensive.

It is comfortable to relax in Dombay at any time of the year. In winter, masses of tourists are busy with active recreation. The summer season is a great time for walking in the mountains and visiting various attractions. A favorable climate contributes to a good holiday in Dombay. The air in these places has healing powers. People suffering from diseases of the cardiovascular, nervous, respiratory systems, as well as skin diseases often come to the village. In the valley of the Teberda River there grows a relict forest of the Tertiary period with rare species of pine trees.

The climate of Dombay is temperate continental, typical of the mountains of the North Caucasus. Winter is characterized by abundant snow cover. Winter holidays can continue in Dombay until May, but this is only for those who like to conquer snow-capped mountain peaks. Snow cover in the mountains lasts for a very long time, and at an altitude of 4000 meters, on the top of Mount Dombay-Yolgen, the snow does not melt even in the summer months. In the lowlands, stable snow cover remains until March-April.

The summer season does not last so long, lasting from June to September. The air temperature in the mountains rarely rises above +24+25 degrees. Therefore, summer holidays in Dombay are often chosen by those who do not like the heat and the beach, but gravitate towards excursion pastime with health benefits in conditions of moderate heat.

For winter recreation in Dombay there are ski slopes, the height of which varies between 1600-3200 meters above sea level. The ski resort is well equipped for winter sports. It’s no wonder that the village hosts slalom and snowboard competitions. In Dombay there is a complex of cable cars, rope tows, a gondola and a pendulum road. For the convenience of vacationers traveling to the resort for skiing and other activities, winter equipment rentals are available. You don't have to worry about something being forgotten or lost. Rentals will make up for any loss.

Extreme sports competitions are an annual event in Dombay. Every year the village hosts an international festival of Russian snowboarding, as well as a snowboard camp. The resort is often visited by fans of freestyle skiing.

In summer, extreme recreation is represented by paragliding and hang gliding. Equestrian sport is no less exciting. In the mountainous surroundings of Dombay, horseback riding training is much more effective than on flat terrain. Therefore, many not only learn to ride, but also go on a horseback riding tour to the sights under the supervision of a guide, guide and instructor. Rock climbing, mountaineering and hiking also flourish in Dombay. This is where they learn to conquer mountains. To conquer the peaks, you can rent a mountain bike or an all-terrain vehicle with a driver in addition. For those who are not physically prepared, there is a cable car, and more than one. You can ride a cable car with carriages or a double chairlift. It’s who likes what more!

Dombay is located on the territory of the Teberda Nature Reserve. Therefore, all traveler roads lead there. In the vicinity of Dombay there are many picturesque attractions that are associated with the pristine nature of these places. First, you should visit the panoramic places of the village and outline a plan for an excursion vacation. Dombay is surrounded on all sides by fir and pine forests, mountains, gorges, waterfalls and rivers, grottoes and caves. There is plenty of food for thought on where to go at the resort!

We recommend visiting the Dzhuguturluchat glacier, which does not melt in winter or summer. You can see it from the observation deck called Mussa-Achi-Tara. Also in the vicinity of Dombay there is a glacial grotto, a high seething-boiling Alibek waterfall, and the Alibek glacier, accessible on foot. The flows of mountain rivers are beautiful, which are also worth admiring, especially in the summer.

Holidays in Dombay mean contemplation of beauty combined with sports. Lack of skills is not at all a reason to deny yourself a visit to this beautiful, proud village, because in addition to active activities, there is a lot of interesting things to do in Dombay!

Many tourists staying at mini hotels in Dombay note the well-developed resort infrastructure here. Perhaps that is why holidays in Dombay are one of the most popular in Russia today. Free ride and heli-skiing are at your service, which involve descents from the slopes of Mount Semenov-Bashi and from the high Alibek glacier (to climb it, you need to cover a long path on foot or fly there by helicopter). Many vacationers doubt whether to go on vacation in Dombay or choose the Elbrus region. Note that, unlike its Kabardino-Balkarian “colleague,” the Dombay resort is replete with all kinds of so-called off-piste entertainment. And in the evenings, tourists who have rented holiday accommodation in Dombay can go to a restaurant or have some good fun at a disco or nightclub. For those “who like it hot,” there is a wonderful Russian bathhouse, after which you can enjoy a dip in the indoor pool. Having had a great rest overnight, you can attend interesting excursions to the sights of Dombay. A special holiday in this resort corner is the New Year. And the entertainment, of course, is the most special on this night. Almost every entertainment establishment in the valley will offer its guests an original version of this winter holiday. By the way, some of the vacationers prefer to meet him on the street, in a noisy group.

Extreme in Dombay

If you have already found accommodation for your holiday in Dombay, you can try extreme sports. Paragliding flights are organized here especially for lovers of this type of recreation. Tourists who decide to take a bird's eye view of the snowy peaks of the Caucasus will be accompanied by an experienced instructor. By the way, here you can also take a training course in independent flights, consisting of a theoretical ground part and the dizzying paragliding flights themselves. Another type of extreme winter recreation is speed riding. This new sport, which arose at the intersection of alpine skiing and paragliding, is another attraction of Dombay. The combination of flight and ski turns gives vacationers a good dose of adrenaline. However, speedriding is a rather dangerous sport that is only available to professionals and experienced skiers. And for those who want to learn virtuoso skating at 2019 prices, there are speedriding schools in Dombay. Zorbing has recently become popular in Dombay. This is another extreme attraction, which involves a person in a zorb (a round transparent ball) descending from a mountain. Zorb is a polyvinyl chloride ball consisting of 2 spheres. Inside it there is a cavity where the “zorbonaut” is located, and, in some cases, mounts intended for it. However, many tourists prefer simple, but no less exciting snowmobiling to extreme sports. This is facilitated by a large amount of snow, as well as wonderful weather at the resort. And one of the most popular recreational places for children and adults is the ice skating rink, which is located near the cafe “U Zuli”.
