Summer in Sheregesh what to do. Guide to Sheregesh. For those who are going skiing for the first time. Worship Cross on Mount Kurgan

As a rule, during the season people go to a ski resort to ski, otherwise what’s the point? But situations are different. Perhaps at some point you decided that alpine skiing and snowboarding are not for you. No problem! In Sheregesh you can find activities other than skiing on the mountain slopes.

Let’s be honest, we can’t say that the choice of entertainment is huge, but it’s very possible to spend three or four days here without skiing, and without getting bored.

So, what to do in Sheregesh if you are not a skier or snowboarder?

Try learning to ride

The most obvious option is to join the ranks of those who ride. The cost of renting a set of equipment is from 200 rubles per hour. There are dozens of rides on the mountain. Choose the most beautiful skis or snowboard and go to the track.

Just two pieces of advice: don’t immediately climb to the top of the mountain - you need to learn on the gentle slopes of the route, or. And the second piece of advice: spare no expense and hire an instructor, classes cost from 1000 rubles per hour. This is especially important if your level is zero or so.

If you can’t ride due to an injury (sadly, but this also happens), you can rent snowshoes from the same rentals and just walk around the surrounding taiga without the risk of falling into a two-meter snowdrift. The main thing is don't get lost!

Upside Down House

An interesting attraction that has been operating in Sheregesh for quite some time and is located not far from the Skyway.

Many have probably already encountered something similar here or at other resorts. An ordinary house, just built upside down, or what have you? Foundation?

Accordingly, all the interior items inside the house are also upside down, and you walk on the ceiling. Interesting sensations of complete disorientation in space, and the photographs from there turn out funny.

Indoor skating rink

The indoor skating rink in Sheregesh is located next to the hotel. The entrance fee is from 150 rubles per hour depending on the day of the week, plus skate rentals from 100 rubles per hour, you can also rent a hockey stick.

Snowmobile lanes

Snowmobiling in Sheregesh is, one might say, a separate and well-developed industry. The services of snowmobiles are used by both freeriders for getting to remote and untouched slopes, and ordinary vacationers for walks in the picturesque surroundings.

True, this pleasure is quite expensive. For example, a walk from the ramp in Sector A to the well-known Poklonny Cross on Mount Kurgan will cost 1,500 rubles. And if you go up Mount Zelenaya on a lift and go to the Cross from there, then 800 rubles.

Snowtubing

If riding on alpine skiing and is not attracted to ice skating in any way, then you can ride on inflatable cheesecakes, or as they are also called imported - snow tubes. For riding this analogue of a sled, there is a special separate track in Sector E. Another such track is available at the camp site - 11 km from Mount Zelenaya.

In general, Teddy Bear is quite interesting place. It has its own ski slope with a lift, a stable, a cross-country ski track, and a separate snowmobile route to Sector E.

Baths, saunas

Baths and saunas are as integral a part of a holiday in Sheregesh as snow and ski slopes. Every hotel has its own sauna, and there are also separate bath complexes.

Of particular note is the SPA complex of the Olga Hotel, which we have already mentioned in connection with the skating rink, there is a swimming pool, a Finnish sauna, and a hammam.

There are also excellent recreation areas, for example, in the hotel, or.

Cafes, night clubs

Stormy night life- this is not really about Sheregesh. After the ski lifts stop, which happens at 16:30-17:00, the ski resort becomes quiet. Of course, you can sit in a cafe or hotel restaurant, but you can’t count on some kind of unbridled fun.

There is only one nightclub under the mountain - Ays Bunker. It is almost always crowded and mostly young people have fun.

Of course, Sheregesh still has room to develop in terms of organizing leisure time for those who do not ski and snowboard. And if you plan to come here, say, for a week and do not intend to ride, then it is quite possible to get bored. Well, in three or four days, which is how long tourists spend their holidays here on average, Sheregesh definitely won’t have time to get bored.

Wellness, detox and all that

Mountain air has always been considered the most effective for healing and is suitable for everyone. Hey, we're not implying that it's time for anyone to think about themselves, sleep more, eat better and stop partying all night long 😉 The trick is that the effect of a vacation in the mountains will be an order of magnitude better for all systems of your body. Well, that is, you really will have a better rest.

If summer visits to Sheregesh somehow still set the mood for a positive mood, then autumn trips always take place against the backdrop of some kind of convulsive movement on the mountain and nearby - you can feel the approach of the season and the fact that (by tradition) no one is ready for it, but when You need to keep up with this, but it is clear that there is almost no hope of making it in time, so everyone is gloomy and not very happy with life. This visit is no exception. Moreover, now more than ever before, some kind of total dirt, swearing and unprofessionalism is emerging.

The plan was to drive from the village to the mountain, see what’s going on in the area of the ski lifts under construction, go up and look at the changes there. But “Freestyle,” who was always working, didn’t let me in, citing “repairs,” and “Shoriya,” who was working, represented by the gloomy guy from the boarding trailer, said “we’re not working” and went on to do important things. Well, ok, there is also something to see below.

So, from “Freestyle” I went towards the run-out of the central track, so that on the approach to it I could look at the lifts under construction.

The landing on the yoke of the Olga Hotel (which is already quite far from Olga) is now here - almost at the very traverse. Well, going from below (especially in the morning of a snowy day) will be quite tiring, and will make almost no sense, since there are literally 10 meters left to the traverse and it would be easier to make the last push to the “Freestyle”.

A little lower is the station of the new lift, which will replace the half-dead green chair. Which, by the way, is not carefully removed, otherwise you never know, the work may not be completed before winter. The station is also quite high - you can see the “penny” of the rollout below, and it’s a decent walk from it. The basic plan is this: to the right of this lift (if you look from where we are looking) there will be a large parking lot, where tourists will come so as not to have to go from the very bottom. Presumably, taxi drivers will bring you there. There are two points that immediately come to mind:

1. On the morning of the weekend, tourists will very quickly begin to arrive at the full parking lot. The road up and the entrance to the parking lot are quite narrow; it’s not entirely clear how the whole mass of cars will turn around and go back.
2. The road to the parking lot, which passes by the AYS hotel, is very difficult to climb on snowy days, and if you don’t get there early in the morning, at 9 there is already a stable traffic jam of those who cannot get up. If you send a large mass of cars there, it certainly won’t get better. They haven't made the road wider, and there's not much chance of that happening yet.

Roll out - dear mother. It feels like the bombs weren’t delivered to Syria—they were dropped here. It all seems more or less in the photo, in reality it’s just hopeless shit. Yes, they will make it smoother, of course, but nothing in common with what happened a year ago (and for which there were also questions).

Another look at the new lift. By the way, he himself is of course good - much better than his green brother. Apparently, it will be like “Breadbox”, which means it will stop quickly due to side winds, lol :)

There are almost no changes below. Except that the kebab booth “At Vitalik’s” has disappeared from “Grelka”.

Not far, by the way :) But, according to local rumors, she will not return back. The run-out is being cleared, and not only this building will disappear. The children's seat for beginners has been dismantled, and in its place an intermediate landing of a gondola lift is being built, which will duplicate it. The small but very cozy hotel “Sporthotel, Nizhny Domik” was sacrificed, as well as a couple of trailers (rental and instructor’s) - it seems they were dragged further and to the left, to the landing on the rope tow, which by some miracle was still preserved.

In addition to the planting, another building is being built, the purpose of which is not yet entirely clear. In fact, this lift will be longer, from here it will go down, past the Mustag Hotel and lead to a really healthy parking lot, which is located across the street from the Sky Way gondola lift. I arrived, parked the car, got on the lift and drove to the rollout. If you need rentals or a cafe, get off; if you don’t need them, you drive on until the end of the rollout.

From below, the dirt and construction are no longer visible, only the top of the mountain and the moving clouds are visible - snow is forecast for tomorrow.

In the photo everything looks less global, of course, but in real life the impressions are depressing. Just hopeless shit, dirt and construction debris absolutely everywhere. It is very striking that there is (and could not be, of course) any planning at all - you received land, immediately erected something on it, a few years later they squeezed it out, demolished it, and built something completely different. There is some kind of chaos and disorder everywhere. And even where the work is finished, no one is in a hurry to clean up anything after themselves - why, the famous Sheregesh snow will cover everything, but at the beginning of the season, be careful, guys. I think if we bring some manager here ski resort from Europe, he would not have been able to recover from what he saw.

Upstairs it’s about the same, only there everything has already fallen asleep a little and the picture has smoothed out a little. Some recent years, when almost no work was carried out, it became at least a little cleaner. Look, if you look towards the “Breadbox”, everything is somehow calmer there. Although this is from here, a new ski lift is also being built there, and it’s probably the same thing near it.

Not that this was somehow unexpected - this is still a Russian resort in all its manifestations. But it’s sad, in winter it will be different, more positive, but in the spring everything will return again, and it’s unlikely that anything will change. However, the season is coming soon, it’s time to start thinking about it, and about those lifts that will work. Because if they don’t work, all that will be left is a short right yoke and a green chair, and they definitely won’t be enough :) Wait for the next news and photos from Sheregesh. We will open the season before everyone else. Get Shred!
