Which village to choose for a holiday in Crimea. Where can you relax in Crimea? What to do in Crimea? Detailed list of resorts with descriptions. What cities are worth seeing on the Western Bank of Crimea

Good afternoon, our dear travelers! Few people like to feel like they’re in a crowd of people when they come on vacation. But when coming to famous resorts, you need to be prepared for such a turn of events. If you like a more secluded holiday, then the little-known resorts of Crimea are suitable for you, which we will tell you about today.

As part of the article, we will describe 7 little-known resorts in Crimea. For the most part, these are small resort villages where the infrastructure is not so developed, but at the same time there is no strong crowd of people.

And, if you also want to see unusual and beautiful places in Crimea, we advise you to read this article to the end. We are sure you will not regret it.

Greetings

When choosing where to go, pay attention to this village with a friendly name. Privetnoye is a small village between Alushta and Sudak, this is where our grandchildren stayed when they went to Crimea.

The village lives by two main activities - grape growing and resort business.

Privetny also has its own attraction - the dilapidated ruins of the ancient fortress of Agira. So there is also something to see here.

The beaches in Privetnoye are mostly pebble, but with a smooth, gentle slope. The sea is clean and warm, warming up quickly due to the shallow depth off the coast. Some areas of the beach offer small water activities.

You can live here either in boarding houses or in the private sector. There are also several campsites where you can pitch your tent. Within the village there are several cafes, canteens and shops, and there is its own market.

Getting here is as convenient as from Simferopol, where you can fly direct from many Russian cities.

Kacha

When choosing places to relax, pay attention to this small village. The village of Kacha is located 23 km from Sevastopol and 25 km from Bakhchisarai.

It is more convenient to get here from Simferopol. Kacha is attractive for its natural landscapes - the village is surrounded on all sides by cliffs and has several secluded bays. These quiet places are perfect for a relaxing holiday.

The beaches here are sand and pebbles, the entrance to the sea is smooth. The beaches are mostly wild; there is practically no infrastructure on them. Accommodation is possible in guest houses, mini-hotels and the private sector.

You won't find large restaurants or cafes here. Only a few shops and very small eateries. There is also no entertainment provided here, but you can go to neighboring Sevastopol, from where you can book excursions.

To quickly book the excursions you want, you can use the excursion store

To do this, you just need to click on the “Select” button.

Shchelkino

Where can you relax if you are going to Crimea by car? For example, on the way to Shchelkino.

The village of Shchelkino is located on the Kerch Peninsula off the coast of the Azov Sea. It is more convenient to get here from Kerch. Since the Azov Sea is shallower than the Black Sea, it warms up noticeably faster. And the sandy beaches and smooth sunset are good for families with children.

The wind rose of the village favors lovers of windsurfing and kitesurfing. Recently, several recreation centers and private hotels have appeared here, the infrastructure is gradually gaining momentum, but still it is not as crowded as in the most popular resorts of Crimea.

Sandy

Which place to choose for a family vacation?

The village of Peschanoe is an excellent holiday destination for couples with children. Cozy sandy beaches, clear sea with a smooth sunset - everything little vacationers need.

The infrastructure of the village is gradually growing and improving. Accommodation in holiday homes, boarding houses and, of course, in the private sector is already available.

The resort has its own bus station, from which it is convenient to get to nearby cities: Simferopol, Bakhchisaray, Sevastopol and Evpatoria.

Resort

The resort is located between Sudak (27 km) and Koktebel (15 km). The infrastructure of the village is well developed. There is a market, several cafes and canteens, grocery stores and beach accessories stores, and there is entertainment for children and adults on the embankment.

The beaches here are mostly pebble. Accommodation is available mainly in mini-hotels or the private sector. Not far from Kurortny there is the famous Karadag Nature Reserve, where, in addition to a walk to an extinct volcano, you can take a trip to the local dolphinarium.

These places make great photos, because the views are mesmerizing.

Marine

Morskoe is located near the bays of the New World and attracts tourists mainly with its wide sand and pebble beaches. The beaches here are not equipped, which attracts many car travelers.

What stunning landscapes open up for photo sessions when you drive through these places by car.

Boarding houses, mini-hotels, the private sector and numerous campsites are available for accommodation. The village has several cafes, canteens, shops and markets with vegetables and fruits.

Walking or cycling excursions to nearby places often start from here: the New World, Cape Ai-Foka, Veselovskaya Bay.

Simeiz

Simeiz is considered the most popular resort village among all in Crimea. It is located near sunny Yalta. This proximity suggests a wide variety of excursions that can be purchased once you get to Yalta.

The most popular entertainment in Simeiz itself is considered to be visiting the Blue Bay water park and conquering the top of the Diva Rock, which rises on the main beach of the village.

If you need a place to propose marriage and don't want too many crowds, this is the place.

The beaches here are pebbly and rocky in some places. Accommodation is possible both in inexpensive boarding houses, sanatoriums, private hotels and the private sector, and in luxury villas that can be rented for the entire holiday period.

These places we have listed are good to stop for the entire vacation period or for part of it, and then move on. Avid travelers often do not like excessive crowds of people in their vacation spots.

They are attracted to secluded corners of our planet, quiet backwaters, places unknown to the general public.

But in addition to a secluded place of residence, I also want to see unusual and beautiful places in Crimea. Therefore, we decided to supplement our article with a selection of interesting places that you can look at.

Mountains and rocks

The most beautiful places in Crimea are not necessarily very popular and attract a lot of people.

For example, when mountains are mentioned, everyone immediately remembers Ai-Petri. But in Crimea there are also mountains that are not inferior in the beauty of their views to the most popular point of Crimea.

Fans of mountains and rocky terrain can go to Mount Ak-Kaya or White Rock, as it was nicknamed by locals and travelers. The mountain rises more than 100 meters above the local valley.

The shape of the rock itself is more reminiscent of part of a wide wall or a special ledge for rituals.

What is also noteworthy about this rock is that everywhere you can find evidence that once upon a time this area was part of the ocean floor - here and there you come across fragments with fossilized shells and mollusks.

The “Valley of Ghosts” on the Demerdzhi mountain range near Alushta is gradually gaining its popularity. The rocks and stone sculptures here resemble people, animals and various objects.

To explore the mountain ranges, you can go to Mount Echkidag, which is located not far from Koktebel. The incredible beauty of nature awaits you both on the way to the peaks and in the views from the peaks themselves.

In the mountains you can easily meet deer and roe deer freely walking along the slopes.

Lakes and waterfalls

Lovers of beautiful lakes should definitely go to the saltiest lake in Crimea - Koyashskoye. An incredible feature of this lake is its color.

During the summer months, it acquires a bright pink color thanks to specific algae growing in the lake. Among other things, the silty mud from the bottom of the lake has healing properties. What makes a holiday on the lake unique is that the waters of the lake are separated from the waters of the Black Sea by a small strip of beach.

Not far from Yalta there is a little-known waterfall with the beautiful name Diana's Font. It is better to visit it in the spring, when melting snow adds to its power.

For lovers of a minimum of civilized amenities, we can advise you to visit Lake Kastel, which was located near the village of Lazurnoe. Near the lake you can find equipped tables and benches for a picnic, and the views around are simply mesmerizing.

Trails and roads

Fans of hiking adventures should undoubtedly take a trip along the Taraktash trail, which runs along the southern slope of Mount Ai-Petri in the vicinity of Yalta.

Well, if you are not chasing places that are included in the top of the best places, then you may like the climbing trail to the 500-meter mountain Ai-Georgia, which is located near the city of Sudak.

From the top there is an excellent panorama of the city, and the path itself, passing through a pine forest and juniper thickets, will not leave you indifferent. The old road above the Uzundzha Canyon once led to a small village.

Now about 6 people live in this village, in fact there are only two houses, but the road has been perfectly preserved. You can walk along it or drive a car, the views are stunning, the places are wild and completely secluded.

Beaches and underwater objects

We have already written about the “General’s Beaches” and the beaches on capes Tarkhankut and Fiolent in our article with reviews of Crimea.

These beaches are not so popular among vacationers due to the fact that they are wild and do not contain any infrastructure. However, their beauty and unusualness are definitely worth a visit.
There are other interesting beaches you might want to see.

The Lost World beach can only be reached from the sea, swimming around the tip of Cape Aya.

The waters here have an unusual ultramarine color, and indescribable views open up at sunset. Not far from the village of Olenevka there is Karadzhinskaya Bay with a perfectly clear sea. This place is suitable for those who love to relax alone with nature.

And Chucha Bay can please diving enthusiasts with unusual entertainment in the form of the underwater museum “Alley of Leaders”. There are about 32 sculptures of political figures and artists installed at the depths of the sea.

All of them were covered with a layer of algae, corals and limestone formations. Another unusual underwater object is the lake at the foot of the village of Khoja Sala.

Under the water column of this lake are hidden the ruins of a medieval settlement and a Christian temple. At the end of summer, when the water level in the lake becomes significantly lower, the remains of the temple emerge from the water.

Cities and fortresses

For lovers of ancient architecture, we can recommend visiting the Genoese fortress, located in the city of Sudak. The buildings of the fortress are perfectly preserved and very picturesque.

The airy ancient city of Chufut-Kale will amaze you with its views, as it is located on the top of a steep cliff. Everything here is imbued with mysticism and incredible energy.

Not far from Bakhchisarai there is a medieval fortified city of Eski-Kermen.

This ancient city is famous for its cave temples and basilica ruins, well preserved to this day.

How to get there?

The easiest way to get to the peninsula is by plane.

For online booking of air and train tickets, as well as hotels and tours, you can use the website "Ozon.Travel".

Here you will receive information about payment for the order and delivery of tickets, tariffs, and availability.

Crimea is one of the best places to relax with children. Convenient transport links and the absence of bureaucratic barriers make family holidays on this peninsula accessible and enjoyable. The question of where is the best place to vacation in Crimea with children does not have a clear answer: some resorts boast spacious sandy beaches, others boast a wide variety of available entertainment.

The age of the child also plays an important role. For children under 5-6 years of age, the greatest interest is in carefree swimming on the seashore, riding the waves and building majestic structures made of sand and stone. Those who are older will appreciate visiting water parks, dolphinariums, aquariums and other attractions.

The choice of a specific vacation spot raises many questions for everyone who decides to visit Crimea with their family. Resort towns on the coast and numerous cozy villages stretching along the sea differ in both climate and available entertainment. To simplify the search process, we have compiled a detailed rating of Crimean resorts that are most suitable for a family holiday with a child.

Resorts of the Southern Coast of Crimea

The South Coast is the main calling card of the Crimean Peninsula. The most recognizable landscapes, clean mountain air, saturated with the aroma of juniper, majestic mountains - all these are signs of the Southern Coast, where the best resorts of Crimea are located, which have won great love from travelers.

Big Yalta

Yalta is by far the most famous Crimean resort. Combined with numerous cities and towns stretching from Foros in the west to the nature reserve in the east, it forms the so-called Greater Yalta.

Where to relax with children in Yalta?

It should immediately be noted that all the beaches in these places are pebbly or sand-pebble..

For a long time it was believed that Yalta is the best resort in Crimea. However, the city is not very suitable for families with children: there are no comfortable sandy beaches, the road to the coast usually takes a lot of time and effort, and the streets are noisy and crowded.

For this reason, it is better to spend a family vacation in Crimea not in Yalta, but in the surrounding villages.

Simeiz water park near Mount Koshka

One of the most attractive places for families with children is Gurzuf. This seaside town offers its guests clean mountain air, good beaches with small pebbles and a calm atmosphere. Resort villages such as Gaspra, Simeiz, Nikita and Koreiz deserve attention, however, good, spacious beaches in these places are a rarity. A similar situation developed in Alupka, Livadia and Foros.

By the way, you can read about the beaches of Simeiz

Pebble beach in Alupka

The most interesting entertainment for children is located in Yalta. First of all, it is better to visit the Skazka Zoo, which gives you the opportunity to get acquainted with dozens of animals from all over the world, as well as the crocodilarium, where you can not only look at the formidable inhabitants of reservoirs, but also take part in feeding them (of course, taking into account the necessary precautions ). Young children will appreciate the Little Farm zoo corner.

Big Alushta

The surrounding areas of Alushta, including the resort villages of Utes, Partenit and Malorechenskoye, are part of the Alushta City Council, for simplicity called Big Alushta. These places combine all the advantages of Greater Yalta and a more affordable cost of recreation.

Family resort city Alushta

Alushta is a resort city on the southern coast of Crimea. Its main advantage is the spacious city beach. Most of its area is occupied by sand, however, near the shore it is replaced by small pebbles. The rest of the city's beaches are pebbly and rather small in size.

Near Alushta, the resort village of Professor's Corner is comfortably located, where you can find several good sandy beaches belonging to the sanatoriums "Alushta", "Dnepr" and "Sea". Anyone can visit them absolutely free.

The Professor's Corner is distinguished by its location: remote from the noisy central streets of Alushta, it provides a calm and comfortable holiday in Crimea with children by the sea and convenient access to interesting entertainment. Exactly The Almond Grove water park is located in the Professor's Corner, offering guests 12 slides, several pools with simulated currents and sea waves, as well as a children's corner for the youngest visitors.

The small resort villages that are part of Big Alushta are very cozy and picturesque, but are absolutely devoid of sandy beaches and any entertainment.

The greatest comfort for living is Utes with its picturesque park and clear water along the entire coast. Partenit and Malorechenskoye usually offer inexpensive family holidays, however, the level of service in these places usually leaves much to be desired.

In addition to the already mentioned water park, Alushta offers a lot of entertainment for families. Dolphinariums “Nemo” and “Akvarel” offer rich show programs that children love so much, and for an additional fee you can even take part in swimming with dolphins. Visitors to the Alushta Aquarium will be able to meet the amazing inhabitants of the deep sea.

Western coast of Crimea

Perhaps the best places to relax in Crimea with children are located in the western part of the peninsula. A large number of sunny days, a variety of sandy and small-pebble beaches, a combination of sea and steppe climates make local resorts the most suitable candidates for family travel.

If you don’t know where is the best place to vacation in Crimea with children, choosing the West Bank will be an almost win-win option.

Evpatoria is the most famous Black Sea resort in Western Crimea. Spacious and free to visit sandy beaches are ideal for families with children. The climate of Evpatoria is well tolerated by the child’s body, so the acclimatization process usually goes smoothly, without any side effects.

It should be noted that, despite the large length and wide coastline, at the height of the tourist season, the beaches of Evpatoria do not always cope with the flow of vacationers. For this reason, it is worth taking a closer look at the lesser-known villages and resorts on the Western Coast of Crimea. The resorts of Saki and Chernomorskoye attract travelers not only with their beautiful beaches with golden sand, but also with affordable prices.

Another famous resort on the West Coast is Balaclava. The proximity to Sevastopol with its various historical attractions, a unique submarine base and good pebble beaches make this town an interesting choice for a holiday with school-age children.

In terms of entertainment, Evpatoria and its surroundings are in no way inferior to Alushta: there is a spacious water park, a dolphinarium and an aquarium. Thus, the West Coast offers a varied and very affordable family holiday.

Eastern coast of Crimea

The resorts of the eastern part of Crimea occupy an intermediate position between the South Coast and the West Coast, both in terms of their natural conditions and the cost of recreation. As a rule, the beaches in these places are sandy, which means they are perfect for a comfortable holiday with children.

Feodosia cannot boast of any particularly interesting entertainment for children, however, its eastern environs are actually occupied by one large sandy beach, located along the villages of Beregovoe and Primorsky, where even in the season you can easily find a free place.

It is worth noting that the water in these places is somewhat colder than in Sudak or the New World, so the period from late June to early September will be the most suitable for a beach holiday with a child.

East of Feodosia is Koktebel with its picturesque views of the Kara-Dag volcanic massif and clear sea water. All beaches in the village are pebbly. Among the entertainments in Koktebel, the water park is of greatest interest, however, its size is not as large as that of Sudak or Alushta.

Ordzhonikidze, a resort village with a comfortable sandy beach and a quiet, cozy atmosphere, has become increasingly popular in recent years.

Thus, the Eastern Coast of Crimea offers a variety of opportunities for family recreation.

Sudak is perfect for lovers of active recreation and entertainment, and for those who value a relaxing beach holiday, the coast in the vicinity of Feodosia is of greatest interest.

Sudak and surroundings

Sudak is the most popular resort on the East Coast, combining reasonable cost of living, clear sea and excellent climate. The wide coastline makes it easy to find a place on the beach even during peak season, and the tourist infrastructure is quite developed and offers a wide variety of accommodation and additional services.

Not far from Sudak is the village of Novy Svet - the pearl of Eastern Crimea. A picturesque bay with clear water and a beautiful sandy beach creates an incredibly cozy atmosphere. However, holidays in this area are quite expensive, and during the peak tourist season the beaches are crowded.

Sudak and Novy Svet offer a lot of entertainment for children and adults:

  • horseback riding, inflatable slides;
  • various attractions;
  • tennis court;
  • and other.

Sudak is famous for one of the best water parks in Crimea, offering a wide variety of slides and pools. Those who are older will be interested in various historical attractions, for example, the Genoese fortress.

Resort villages of Crimea with sandy beaches

A question that invariably arises when planning a vacation in Crimea with children: where to go for a clean sea, comfortable sandy beaches and inexpensive but high-quality service? We have compiled a list of inexpensive and comfortable resorts in Crimea with a sandy beach for families with children. For convenience, we will consider such places in order, from east to west.

Beach of the village Beregovoye

Not far from Feodosia are the villages of Primorsky and Beregovoe. The local beaches are very clean and spacious, equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, and housing prices are quite affordable.

There are practically no sandy beaches on the southern coast of Crimea. The only exceptions are a few sections of the coast that belong to the boarding houses and hotels of the already mentioned Professor’s Corner.

Quiet village of Shtormovoe

The most interesting opportunities for budget holidays with children are offered by the Eastern coast of Crimea. Storm is a young resort with beautiful sandy beaches and a good amusement park. Moving northwest, we will also find excellent places for swimming with children in Popovka, Mirny and Okunevka. Finally, the village of Olenevka boasts a beautiful equipped Miami beach with fine white sand and clear sea water.

If you are interested in an inexpensive holiday in Crimea, then you should take a closer look at the small seaside villages.

Nikolaevka is the closest resort to the capital of Crimea

The closest resort village to Simferopol is located 40 km from the airport, so it is very popular among vacationers. In Nikolaevka there is a huge number of guest houses with comfortable living conditions, as well as beautiful hotels, hotels and boarding houses. The cost of living in May-June will be approximately 500 rubles per day, at the height of the summer season - about 1200 rubles. In the center of the village there are many bars, cafes, restaurants and clubs, and there is also a magnificent embankment.

Pros: proximity to the capital of Crimea, compactness, inexpensive prices for housing and food.

Cons: narrow beach with quite a large number of vacationers (tourists and locals); in the afternoon there are often waves on the sea.

Chernomorskoye is the best place for diving

The resort village of Chernomorskoye is located in the northwestern part of the Crimean peninsula. You can get to it in two ways: from Simferopol - about 200 km (3 hours by bus) or from Dzhankoy - 160 km (2 hours by bus). Despite the remoteness of this area, everyone who has been here at least once dreams of returning here.

The sea in this place is shallow, clean and warm, so it is perfect for families with small children. In addition, the Black Sea region is one of the best places for diving in Crimea, as Cape Tarkhankut is located here, famous for its quiet sea bays, crystal clear water and incredible scenery.

Chernomorsk is a small cozy town, where the main life during the summer holidays takes place on the beach. The coastline here is wide with a large number of sports grounds and shopping tents. Along the beach there is a walking street with restaurants, cafes, all kinds of attractions and nightclubs. The cost of living in this area will be approximately 400-600 rubles for a double room.

Peschanoye is an ideal place for families with children

Peschanoye is a small resort village located 50 km from Simferopol. You can get to it by public transport - buses and minibuses leave here every 30 minutes in the summer season.

A distinctive feature of this resort is the shallow sea with a flour-soft bottom and a cozy sand and pebble beach. Due to its shallow depth, the water warms up very quickly, so it is always warm. All these conditions make Peschanoye an ideal place for families with small children.

Pros: good beach with a soft entrance to the sea, warm water, inexpensive housing.

Cons: no parks or large entertainment centers.

Maly Mayak is the most inexpensive place on the southern coast of Crimea

Maly Mayak is perhaps the most inexpensive place on the southern coast of Crimea. The resort village is located near Mount Kastel between Yalta and Alushta. In this place, tourists will find the same parks as in expensive neighboring resorts. On the slope of the mountains there is a recreation center with wooden hotel houses - beautiful and... The cost of housing will depend on the living conditions: 600 rubles for a 2-bed hotel house and about 3,000 rubles for a comfortable room with a pool in a boarding house.

Pros: calm environment, uncrowded embankment, beautiful mountain scenery, affordable prices.

Cons: problems with transport (you can only get to nearby large cities by taxi).

Rybachye is the best place for autotourists

Rybachye is located near Alushta - 28 km along the Alushta-Sudak highway. There is a wide pebble beach along the route, so you can stop your car here right by the sea and set up a tent camp.

Pros: inexpensive beach holiday, calm and cozy atmosphere.

Cons: difficult road, lack of developed tourist infrastructure.

How else to save money on vacation in Crimea

  1. It is more profitable to pay for lunch and dinner separately; accommodation and meals will cost more. The most economical option is to cook your own food.

  2. You should not book rooms in boarding houses and hotels in advance; it is cheaper to rent accommodation upon arrival in the private sector.

  3. Holidays at the height of the summer season (from mid-July to mid-August) will cost more.

  4. Excursion tours are not cheap, so it is better to think over your own route and get to the place of interest on your own.

  5. On excursions, it is better to take a taxi; you can also find a travel companion by sharing part of the fare with him.

  6. Order a taxi by phone; a ride in one caught on the street will cost almost twice as much.

  7. Local wine should not be bought in popular tourist places; it is better to ask the local population where they can buy cheaper wine for themselves.

  8. Don't make rash purchases. Tourists often buy a lot of useless trinkets and an incredible amount of souvenirs, which leads to high costs and does not allow for an inexpensive holiday in Crimea.

The Crimean Peninsula is a beautiful corner of nature, which today is a real resort pearl. Thanks to the subtropical climate relax in Crimea possible from May to October.

The first structures related to the resort infrastructure were built in Crimea back in the nineteenth century. Today there are boarding houses, sanatoriums, comfortable hotels, and comfortable cottage villages. It should be noted that relax in Crimea Anyone can do it - the climate here is moderate and mild, and the price range of housing offered for rent opens up wide opportunities for both VIP and economy class holidays.

1. It’s not for nothing that Crimea is considered an excellent health resort - it brings together a healing marine climate, salt caves, healing mud and fresh mountain air. The unique natural conditions of Crimea are ideal for the treatment of chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, cardiovascular system and respiratory system. In order to fully improve your health, you should go to the southern coast of Crimea - local sanatoriums and boarding houses are designed for both.

2. If you want to have an interesting and fun vacation with the whole family, you can go to Western Crimea (for example, to Chernomorskoye or Tarkhankut). Here you can have plenty of diving, sunbathe, go hiking or cycling with.

3. Lovers of noisy and fun prefer Yalta or Alushta. Here you can always rent accommodation from local residents or rent a room in one of the boarding houses. In the evening you can visit a lot of entertainment venues, and local restaurants will always offer you the most unusual and delicious dishes of Tatar cuisine.

4. The main wealth of Crimea is rightfully considered the beauty of the local nature. Only here you can see the proud mountain peaks combined with endless steppes and golden sandy beaches. Beautiful parks, landscaped embankments, and the gentle sea create the most favorable conditions for summer recreation.

5. The historical monuments of Crimea are known far beyond the borders of Ukraine. Therefore, while vacationing in Crimea, be sure to visit the ancient cities of Panticapaeum and Chersonesus, rock monasteries and temples built by the first Christians, the cave cities of Chufut-Kale, Mangup-Kale and Eski-Kermen. An evening walk along the streets of Yalta always produces an unforgettable impression - a huge number of ancient buildings have been preserved here, which even today preserve the memory of the events of bygone days.

They say about Crimea that this is one of the places on earth where a person should visit at least once in his life. This is said, of course, figuratively, but not without reason. The peninsula is literally replete with corners that promise an amazing holiday. Neither connoisseurs of silence and solitude, nor extreme sports enthusiasts, nor young people, nor children, nor older people will get bored here. However, when going on vacation, it’s a good idea to know where it’s best to stay in Crimea.

For lovers of expensive hotels and the highest service, hotels in the southern part of the peninsula are most suitable - Alupka, Foros, Yalta, Simeiz. True, the sea will not always please you here. Firstly, even at the height of summer, the water in it does not warm up enough. Secondly, there will be no comfortable conditions for relaxation there, because... the sea is very deep. But all this is compensated by magnificent views and wonderful nature.

For those who want to bask in the warm sea, bask in the sun and breathe dry air, it is recommended to go to the coast of the peninsula. In Evpatoria, Saki, Shtormovoye, Mezhvodny and Nikolaevka, inexpensive hotels await you, and. The sea is almost always warm, shallow off the coast, the beaches are very well equipped, and the slopes to the water are well equipped.

Fans of extreme conditions and active sports will get maximum pleasure while relaxing at Cape Tarkhankut. Every year there are more and more people who want to visit here, so you will have to try to find a free spot for your tent. Minor inconveniences are fully compensated by the deep and clear sea - a paradise for divers.

If you can’t stop at Tarkhankut, look for a place to stay in a tent in the New World, Gurzuf, Solnechnogorsk, Koktebel, Partenit. The conditions there are no worse, and there is less influx of camping enthusiasts (“savages”).

The most comfortable weather in Crimea lasts for about a month: from mid-June to mid-July. The sky will be clear, the sea will be clear, the temperature will be pleasant. At other times in Yalta, for example, it can be very hot and humid. In August, in Evpatoria and Feodosia, a dry, hot wind often blows from the steppes, and jellyfish appear in large numbers in the sea in the western part of the peninsula, poisoning the rest of swimmers.

If you want to go to Crimea for treatment, it is recommended to purchase a ticket at the end of winter - beginning of spring. It is useful for people with respiratory diseases to come to the peninsula in the spring. If you have problems with the cardiovascular system, it is considered optimal to vacation in Crimea either in mid-June or early autumn.

Even during the Soviet Union, the Crimean seaside was a favorite vacation spot for the country's residents. And today the beaches of the Crimean peninsula have not lost their attractiveness.

Instructions

It is best to travel to Crimea in the low season - the first two weeks of June and September. During this period, the beaches are not crowded, the sun does not burn everything around, the sea is warm enough, and prices are not too high. Of course, in some years June may be too cold and September may be too rainy, but usually the low season is good for a holiday.

Jasper Beach is one of the most beautiful places for a romantic getaway. It is located near Sevastopol. Grottoes, rocks and the sea bring a lot of joy to vacationers every year. From Cape Fiolent there is an excellent staircase of eight hundred steps, along which you can go down to Jasper Beach. If you don't want to go down (and then up) the long stairs, you can get to the beach using a boat that runs between Balaklava and Cape Fiolent.

Beach "Skovorodka" is located in Alupka. It is hidden in a small bay, surrounded on three sides by beautiful rocks, which perfectly reflect the sun's rays in the morning, creating a “double tan”. “Skovorodka” is a beautiful and not very crowded place; it is located on the way from the bus station to “Cape Verde”.

In Gurzuf there is a stunningly beautiful beach “Gurovskie Stones”. “Gurovskie Stones” are located between the “Lazurny” and “Kiparisny” children’s camps of Artek. You can get to Gurovskie Stones by car or even on foot. People come here for diving and snorkeling (snorkeling close to the surface), since the sea here is beautiful and densely populated with a variety of creatures. Not far from the Gurovsky Stones are the Chaliapin Rock, the Adalary twin rocks, and the Pushkin Grotto. This is a very beautiful and romantic place with excellent infrastructure.

If you're going on holiday, be sure to get to the incredible Golden Beach in Feodosia, one of the few sandy beaches on the Crimean Peninsula. The length of Golden Beach is more than fifteen kilometers, it is located between the village of Primorsky and Feodosia. The entrance to the sea here is gentle, the water warms up well, which allows even small children to splash in the water without endangering their health for longer than usual. There is a huge amount of entertainment and cafes here, so you won’t have to be sad.

The tourist season begins in Crimea from the first days of March and continues until late autumn. However, the summer months are considered the most visited. The reason lies not only in the opportunity to swim and sunbathe. Summer in Crimea is a period of a riot of natural colors. Blooming poppies and cornflowers and lilac lavender fields stand out against the green background. Travelers who love hiking in the highlands will discover the wondrous beauty of mountain vegetation and caves.

Crimea is a great place for fishing lovers. The geographical location and warm climate provide all the necessary conditions for year-round sea, freshwater and underwater fishing. Thanks to the picturesque landscapes and rich marine fauna, the Crimean peninsula has become a favorite place for both professional fishermen and ordinary amateurs.

Sea fishing in Crimea

The calling card of Crimea is, of course, sea fishing. Thanks to its favorable geographical location and mild climate, fishing can be done here all year round. However, for fishing to be successful, you need to know when, where and what kind of fish to catch.

For example, in the Black and Azov Seas, in addition to the rich local fauna, you can find “vagrant” guests who migrate to spawn during the changing seasons. Such transit inhabitants include the Black Sea herring, which is found off the coast of the Caucasus. She goes to spawn through the Kerch Strait into the Sea of Azov, and returns to the Black Sea for the winter. That is why the ideal time to catch Black Sea herring is in October. Sturgeon and tuna fish species, bonito and mackerel also enter the Crimean seas.

But, let’s say, horse mackerel is a permanent resident of the Black Sea and can be caught all year round. True, the fishing season is in spring and autumn, when the water is still warm - then the fish goes into the depths of the sea. Local inhabitants of the Black Sea waters also include sawfish, mullet, bluefish, sea bass, sea burbot, flounder and ruffe. You can catch them from late spring to mid-autumn.

Sea fishing on the Crimean peninsula can be divided into 3 main areas: the Black Sea, the Sea of Azov and Sivash. Each of these areas has its own fishing characteristics. Thus, on the Black Sea coast near the Kerch Peninsula, they mainly catch horse mackerel, pilengas, mullet and flounder. The southern coast of Crimea is popular among those who like to go fishing in the open sea. The Balaklava area is considered the most “fishy” place - sea bass, redfish, sea fox and horse mackerel are found here in abundance. From the shore you can catch greenfish, ruffe and other small fish.

On the western coast of Crimea, in the area of Cape Tarkhankut, fishermen will find a richer catch: horse mackerel, mullet, goby, kalkan, as well as crabs, mussels and rapana. In this area you can also hunt for Black Sea shark if you go by boat into open waters.

Fishermen go to Sivash mainly for gobies. Since it is found at great depths, it can only be caught from a boat. In addition to goby, in this area you can also catch glossy flounder, which is distinguished by delicious meat, shellfish and shrimp.

The Sea of Azov is of interest both for fishing from the shore and in the open sea. The main prey in these waters will be sprat, goby, flounder, sawfish, mullet and pike perch.

Freshwater fishing in Crimea

There are also many freshwater reservoirs in Crimea, which contain fish for every taste. Freshwater fishing can be divided into several zones: rivers, lakes, reservoirs and paid reservoirs. The main freshwater inhabitants of the Crimean peninsula are carp, carp, roach, bream, crucian carp, pike and pike perch.

For exciting lake fishing, tourists can go to the Baydar Valley, where they mainly catch perch and carp. For pike, it is best to go to the artificial lake located near Mount Gasfort. The area here is very beautiful, so in addition to good fishing, you can thoroughly enjoy the picturesque Crimean landscapes.

In addition, you can go fishing in a not entirely freshwater lake called Sasyk, which is located between Saki and Yevpatoria. This is a large salt lake, but in its desalinated northern part there is a lot of fish: carp, grass carp, crucian carp, mullet, perch.

Fishing in the mountain rivers of Crimea is not so easy, so mostly experienced fishermen go for river fishing. However, the effort expended pays off in spades - here you can catch delicious river trout. However, to catch it you must first obtain a special permit. The most successful places for river fishing include the banks of Belbek, Kachi and Chernaya.

Paid fishing is especially popular among visiting tourists. Firstly, there is always fish in paid reservoirs. Secondly, all the necessary fishing equipment can be rented. Thirdly, in such fishing villages comfortable conditions have been created not only for wonderful fishing, but also for relaxation in the lap of nature: the presence of a landscaped area with gazebos, bathhouses and barbecues. The most famous paid reservoirs on the territory of the Crimean peninsula are Lake Kyzyl-Yar and a reservoir in the village of Uvarovo. In these places, for relatively little money you can catch a lot of crucian carp, carp, perch, sawfish, pike perch, crucian carp, silver carp and grass carp.

Underwater fishing in Crimea

Underwater fishing in Crimea is very popular among both the local population and visiting tourists. The bays of Cape Tarkhankut are considered one of the best places for underwater fishing. A distinctive feature of this place is the cleanest transparent water (visibility up to 10 meters deep) and an abundance of reefs, which create ideal conditions for spearfishing. As for the fauna living here, the most common species are mullet, mullet and saran. Of no less interest to underwater fishing enthusiasts are the flounder and stingray that live in local waters.

Balaklava Bay is also suitable for exciting underwater hunting. Local fishermen nicknamed it the “fish bag”, as you can catch a lot of bluefish, horse mackerel, sea bass and mullet here.

Crimea was previously a popular holiday destination among Russians, but now, after the fall of the ruble, this peninsula has become not only a favorite, but also more accessible compared to exotic countries. Where to relax in Crimea so as not to be disappointed in domestic resorts?

The best season for a holiday in Crimea is from mid-July to mid-September. At this time the sea is warmest and the likelihood of prolonged rain is minimal. And hoteliers and private homeowners who rent out housing, of course, know about this. Prices for holidays in Crimea in July and August are very high. And if you consider that the service in ordinary 2-3 star hotels, not to mention private homeowners, still leaves much to be desired, it is easier and most often in Turkey. There, for the same money you can get room cleaning, an extensive buffet, and sun loungers on the beach.

However, not everything is so bad in Crimea. Over the past few years, private guest houses with several rooms have been opening. You can relax in Crimea in them. There are guest houses on the South Coast and near sandy beaches. These are cozy mini-hotels with a small restaurant, sometimes with a swimming pool, children's playground, and barbecue area. Guest houses in Crimea are owned by families or groups of friends who come together to provide decent service at low prices. Guest houses in Crimea can be found on the Internet. When searching, consider:

  • distance from the beach and shops;

  • availability of a swimming pool, cafe or restaurant, children's room, parking;

  • food (is it included in the price or not);

  • what major city is nearby and is there a transfer from the railway station or airport;

  • Is there an additional charge for any services (sauna, swimming pool, parking, laundry, linen change, etc.).

All this needs to be clarified in advance so that there are no unpleasant surprises during your vacation.

It’s up to you to choose where to relax in Crimea. If you want incredibly beautiful views and a clear sea, pay attention to the South Coast (the southern coast of Crimea). But keep in mind that there are pebble beaches and most often they are quite deep at the entrance to the sea. That is, it will not be very comfortable with small children. But on the sandy, gently sloping beaches of Sevastopol and neighboring cities, children feel comfortable. The sea there is very warm and shallow, there are bays where the depth is no higher than the knee. What you need for a holiday in Crimea with children from 0 to 5-6 years old.

brief information

The attractions of the peninsula are geographically dispersed. Their main part is located in the southern, southeastern and southwestern parts of Crimea (South Coast, South East Coast, South West Coast). Here are famous historical and architectural monuments, museums and parks, natural sites, places of entertainment and social and cultural recreation. The most exciting excursion routes run through cities such as Sevastopol, Yalta, Feodosia, Sudak, Evpatoria, Alupka, Kerch, Alushta, Bakhchisaray.

Historical and cultural sights

Particularly popular among guests of Crimea are ancient attractions, the history of which dates back several centuries - these are, in particular, such objects as:

· medieval fortress Aluston - Alushta, South Coast;

· remains of a Roman fortress of the 1st century (Roman camp Charax) – Partenit, South Coast;

· remains of the ancient city of Chersonesos - Sevastopol, South West Kazakhstan;

· ruins of fortresses of the XII-XV centuries. – near Bakhchisarai, Southwestern Kazakhstan;

Architectural monuments are a separate category of attractions on the peninsula. In addition to the legendary Swallow's Nest, located in the village of Gaspra (South Coast), you can admire the majestic buildings of various eras in almost any Crimean city or its environs. Many architectural objects are located in or near villages. The most famous urban settlements of the peninsula, on the territory of which there are unique architectural monuments - Gaspra, Livadia, Utes, Koreiz, Foros, Topolevka, Partenit.

Natural attractions

Tourists who prefer not only an active, but also an educational holiday, and who do not know where to go in their free time from the beach, should take the opportunity to carefully explore the surroundings of Crimea. Almost the entire territory of the peninsula is replete with natural monuments and attractions, which have no analogues anywhere in the world. These are such well-known and little-known objects as the “Valley of Ghosts” (Alushta), Mount Ai-Petri (South Coast), White Rock Ak-Kaya (valley of the Biyuk-Karasu River), Bear Mountain Ayu-Dag (South Coast), Mount Cat and Diva rock (Simeiz village).

In addition to the objects mentioned, the most interesting places in the Crimean peninsula and its environs are caves, ancient cave cities and fortresses. The history of the most ancient caves dates back to the period BC, and the age of some cave structures is over 1.5 thousand years. Of the 20 currently known cave fortresses in Crimea, only 8 have survived in relatively good condition - these are Mangup-Kale, Chufut-Kale, Tepe-Kermen, Eski-Kermen, Kachi-Kalyon, Bakla, Kalamita, and the Syuren fortress.

Family holiday

Family tourism in Crimea has been developed since the Soviet era - there are places to go with children and have a fun time. The most popular family holiday destinations:

· well-equipped water parks (Alushta, Sineuz, Sudak, Koktebel);

· dolphinariums (Partenit, Sevastopol, Koktebel);

If you plan your vacation in advance, you can have a very interesting and fun vacation on the Crimean Peninsula. Moreover, there is entertainment here for both children and adults. And numerous excursions will allow you not only to have fun, but also to learn a lot of new things.

More recently, Crimea became part of Russia. And naturally, most people who previously went on vacation to Krasnodar want to visit this wonderful city and appreciate it from “all sides.” However, due to the strong influx of tourists, prices for housing and various entertainment activities have increased significantly (by about 10% - 15%) and now a trip to the sea is very expensive. But not everything is so bad; a cheap holiday in Crimea is also possible. And believe me, cheap does not mean poor quality, the main thing is to know how to plan your vacation correctly.

The main rules for a cheap holiday in Crimea

So, you have decided to relax by the sea in the wonderful city of Crimea, but you don’t know how to do it so that your funds are enough not only to pay for housing, but also for entertainment? There are some rules that will help you make your vacation unforgettable.

Rule #1

Holidays in Crimea are cheap and cheerful only during periods of decline in the influx of tourists, the so-called low seasons. The first low season begins on January 15 and ends in mid-May. The second season begins around the first half of October and ends at the end of December. During these periods of time, you can have a great rest, since prices in Crimea for housing, food and attractions are almost 2-3 times lower than in the high season, which begins in June and ends in August.

You can have a cheap holiday in Crimea during the periods from May 15 to June 15 and from September 15 to October 15. During these periods, prices, of course, are not the same as in the low season, a little higher, but the weather is most favorable for relaxation - you have the opportunity to swim in the warm sea and sunbathe in the sun.

Rule #2

Choose the right resort. There are many villages in Crimea that are happy to host tourists. But some of them have a very developed infrastructure, and therefore prices for housing and recreation are high.

For example, on the South Coast, where the most popular resorts of this country are located (Yalta, Alupka and Alusht), a vacation costs several times more than in those resort areas located on the Western and Eastern coasts of Crimea. These are Black Sea, Mezhvodny, Beregovoy, etc.

Rule #3

Don't rush into choosing housing. Finding temporary housing in Crimea is very easy, but not all of them are budget options. You should not rent a room in the private sector, because here, apart from 4 walls, nothing else surrounds you.

But at the camp site there are the same conditions as in the private sector (toilet, shower, bed, etc.). But in addition to the fact that the cost of housing at the camp site is much lower, it also has its own parking lot where you can leave your car, as well as places for barbecuing and relaxing with children (various play areas).

Well, if you have absolutely no money for housing, then you can relax as savages. Of course, there are no conditions, but there is absolutely no need to pay for accommodation. In addition, many people choose this particular option, since it is the most extreme and gives more positive emotions.

Choosing a cheap resort in Crimea

There are many resorts in Crimea where you can relax and have fun, not only for adults, but also for children. And an example of this is the Rybachye resort, which is located 30 km from Alushta towards Sudak.

Rybachye

On the territory of this village there are many shops, cafes and bars, as well as entertainment centers where you can have fun with the whole family.

The beach is very large and strewn with small pebbles, which is very convenient compared to sand and large stones. On its territory there are various attractions, rentals of sunbeds and umbrellas, and the sale of cold drinks and ice cream.

Housing here is probably the cheapest. In the private sector, the approximate cost of a room per night is about 700 rubles. In this case, the number of people who will live in it is completely unimportant.

There are also mountains here that you can climb and see all the delights of this resort. In addition, Rybachye is connected to almost all parts of Crimea, and therefore, while relaxing in it, you can visit the night Yalta or the famous Feodosia at any time.

Marine

Cheap holidays in Crimea 2015 are also possible in the village of Morskoye, which is located 20 km from Sudak. This resort is a real hospital. This is where boarding houses of the Soviet period and comfortable health resorts are located.

The infrastructure in the village of Morskoye is developed; there are various shopping centers with free playgrounds for children, water parks, water and mountain excursions, and the opportunity to see other resort areas located in Crimea.

The advantage of the Morskoye village is that there is very cheap housing (from 400 rubles per room per night for private individuals) and there is a public beach that anyone can visit. But this beach is very narrow, so during the beach seasons, when many tourists come here, the holiday is a little tense - it is very difficult to find a free place.

Alupka

This resort is the most popular in Crimea, and therefore a holiday here cannot be called cheap. However, a trip to this village is worth spending a little more money than planned.

Mostly families come here on vacation, since Alupka has all the conditions for a vacation with children. There are children's sanatoriums and more than 13 health resorts. Therefore, if you want to relax with health benefits, then you need to go here.

In addition to hospitals, on the territory of Alupka there are many hotels and private sectors where you can easily rent housing. However, the cost here is much higher, starting from one thousand rubles per room per day.

From Alupka you can go to other parts of Crimea, as well as go on a sea voyage. There are simply countless cafes, restaurants, shopping and entertainment centers here. Moreover, they are very close to the sandy beach, which is 4.5 km long.

Alushta

Alushta is a large resort center, which in its scale and infrastructure is second only to Yalta. This village is located near mountain passes, and therefore the climate here is slightly different from other resort areas of Crimea.

However, this does not affect the attendance of this village at all. Every year a lot of tourists come here. Housing here is affordable (from 800 rubles per room per night), and food costs are almost the same as in other regions of Russia.

The beach in Alushta is very large and beautiful. There are private areas where only visitors to sanatoriums or hotels can relax, as well as public beaches. At each of them, tourists have the opportunity to rent sun loungers and umbrellas, and after visiting the sea, take a local shower, which is located directly on the beach.

If you come here with children, then you can visit the dendrozoo, where you have the opportunity to see various animals and exotic plants.

Malorechenskoye

The village of Malorechenskoye is located on the southern part of the Crimean peninsula, 20 km from Alushta. On its territory there are various sanatoriums, boarding houses and health resorts, and numerous entertainment and shopping centers are being built. In general, the infrastructure has only recently begun to develop.

But this also has its advantage, since a holiday here will really be cheap. Private sectors and hotels charge about 700 rubles per room, but they rent them very rarely, since mostly lovers of wild recreation come here.

Zander

This resort amazingly combines comfort, silence and vibrant resort life. At night, discos are often held here until the morning, so it is most suitable for young people and couples who do not have children.

Pike perch has a fairly small territory. You can completely walk around it all in 1 - 2 hours. And the only attraction of this resort area is the fortress mountain, which drops steeply into the sea.

Simeiz

Simeiz is probably the warmest resort area in Crimea. It is surrounded by mountains, so it has a special climate. Simeiz is located not far from Yalta.

The infrastructure here is very developed. Hotels, boarding houses, entertainment centers, attractions - all this is available on the territory of Simeiz. The main feature of this town is its landscape. Massive trees and various shrubs grow here, creating a wonderful view.

Evpatoria

This is a small resort town, where in summer the population increases sharply by 2-3 times. On the territory of Evpatoria there are more than 30 medical institutions, including boarding houses, which successfully treat various diseases, including the musculoskeletal system.

The peculiarity of this resort area is that there are no industrial enterprises on its territory, and therefore the air here is truly clean.

Miskhor

This resort town has become famous for its numerous parks that simply surround the Miskhor coast. And behind them are toasts, of which there are also a lot - more than 20.

And around Miskhor there is a pine forest, which not only creates picturesqueness, but also makes the air of this resort area special.

Parthenite

Holidays in Partenit are a pleasure. Here prices are not as high as in other resort areas of Crimea, and there are a lot of places to relax. During the day you can spend your time on the public beaches, where there are numerous water and land attractions, coffee and restaurants, and in the evening and at night a vibrant life awaits you here, as discos open and various competitions are held.

Gurzuf

Gurzuf - this city has real history. Every corner of it speaks of this. There are a lot of architectural buildings and monuments, as well as museums where things are stored that are more than 3-4 centuries old!

As for the holiday itself, all conditions have been created here to ensure that tourists feel comfortable. Hotels, various hospitals, cafes, restaurants - everything is like in an ordinary resort town.

Sevastopol

The most ancient city that has its own fascinating history. It is the largest sea trade and fishing port. There are a lot of attractions here. It’s simply impossible to count them all. Therefore, if you have the opportunity to visit this city, be sure to do so. Moreover, holidays here are not so expensive. The average cost of housing here is 800 rubles per room per night. There are a lot of entertainment centers and play areas where you can relax with your children for free.

Inexpensive family vacation in Crimea

Inexpensive family holidays in Crimea are also possible. Resort areas such as:

  • Sevastopol;
  • Parthenite;
  • Alupka;
  • Simeiz.

These resorts have various children's centers with free play areas. You can also afford a family vacation in Crimea with children inexpensively by renting a room in one of the hotels in the above-mentioned towns. After all, most often hotels have various swimming pools, attractions, etc., which only their visitors can use completely free of charge. And at the same time, there is absolutely no need to order a “Lux” room; if you have a modest budget, a room from the economy class group will do.

Another option is a family holiday in Crimea with children inexpensively with meals. In this city there are a huge number of different boarding houses and hotels that provide meals to their visitors. Naturally, you need to pay for it. But, as practice shows, this fee does not exceed the cost of purchasing products. And besides, you don’t need to waste time on cooking.

Inexpensive holiday in Crimea with meals

You can also find inexpensive holidays in Crimea with meals, but for this you will need to find suitable hotels and boarding houses, which also charge a small fee for their services.

For example, an inexpensive holiday in Crimea with meals can be arranged by renting a room in the Neva boarding house, which is located on the territory of the resort town of Alushta. Here, its visitors are provided with three meals a day, which includes first and second courses.

In addition, you can arrange an inexpensive holiday in Crimea with a child and meals in the following boarding houses and sanatoriums:

Only a few boarding houses and recreation centers provide inexpensive holidays with children in Crimea with meals, so before you check in somewhere, find out if they provide this service. Better yet, find out about this in advance.

Family holidays in Crimea with children, inexpensively and with meals, can also be provided by travel agencies that sell vouchers. By contacting them, you can easily choose a vacation for yourself that will include both food and accommodation.

Economy holiday in Crimea

You can arrange an economical holiday in Crimea by going to travel among the savages. Tent, sea, fresh air - what could be more beautiful? But not everyone can survive the evening invasions of mosquitoes and the lack of conditions (shower and toilet).

Therefore, many people want to know how to relax in Crimea in economy class? We present to you a list of cheap hotels where you can enjoy an economy class holiday in Crimea:

As you can see, an economy holiday in Crimea is possible. You just need to put a little effort into finding the right option for you!

The Kerch Peninsula is the best holiday destination in Crimea
for lovers of silence

Photo: crimeaplus.ru

Holidays on the Kerch Peninsula are preferred by those who are tired of city noise, the din of tourists, and night resort life. Kerch is a quiet “paradise” that has preserved pristine nature with its own unique flora and fauna. Along the coast of the Azov Sea lies the Karalar Landscape Park, unique in its kind. The coastline is indented by small cozy bays, called “General's Beaches”. In this secluded place, camping lovers have a unique opportunity to choose a bay to their liking and enjoy the sea, sun and silence. There are boarding houses and hotels on the peninsula, but housing in the private sector is in great demand, the prices for which are much lower than on the southern coast of Crimea.

Advantages:

  • A small number of tourists.
  • Acceptable prices.
  • Sandy beaches.
  • Unique nature.

Flaws: The shore is dangerous; there are often sharp stones.

From reviews of holidays on the Kerch Peninsula:

“Every year my friends and I get into our cars and go to Crimea. Our favorite place is the "Coast of 1000 Bays" or "General Beaches". When you arrive there, it seems that we are alone in this world... Or we are on a desert island. The abundance of insects and snakes is a little annoying, but we have never suffered from them.”

“The most beautiful place in Crimea is Kerch! Amazing nature! Amazing sea! Virgin beaches! There are places where there are no traces of the omnipresent man at all. It's like a fairytale! Or in a novel about Robinson Crusoe! The beauty, of course, is somewhat harsh - the steppe, the stones, but there is something enchanting and attractive in this corner of Crimea...”

New World - the most beautiful bays in Crimea

Photo: i.io.ua

In the south-east of Crimea, 6 km from the city of Sudak, among the picturesque juniper groves, hides a “paradise” - the village of Novy Svet. This place is famous for three beautiful bays: Green, Blue and Sinaya, named after the color of the water. The bays are connected by the Golitsyn trail, walking along which you can enjoy unique and breathtaking views. In the New World there are beaches for every taste - well-maintained in Green Bay, wild and hard-to-reach in Sinaya and Golubay. The water is warm, the beaches are sheltered from the wind. It is noteworthy that if there is a storm in one of the bays, then the others are calm, so vacationers have the opportunity to swim even in not very favorable weather. The seabed in the bays is very interesting for scuba divers - there are many underwater caves, several sunken ships, and a rich underwater world.

Advantages:

  • A favorable place for swimming in any weather.
  • Spectacular landscapes.
  • Healing air.
  • Not too many tourists, no city bustle.

Flaws: quite high prices.

From reviews of holidays in the village of New World:

“All my best photographs from Crimea were taken in the New World region - the views there are unique and of amazing beauty. Interesting landscapes, clear water, a riot of green colors. It’s like you’re in another world!”

“I advise all my friends to definitely see such a miracle of nature as the coast of the New World in Crimea! This is simply a must!!! You fall in love with this place once and for all, and the memories of it are vivid! I have never seen such beauty anywhere, even though I have traveled a lot.”

The hero city of Sevastopol is, first of all, an object of strategic importance, a port city, and also a legendary city. That is why Sevastopol is famous for its numerous and rich museums, the exhibitions of which are dedicated to the Second World War, the navy and the sea. For relaxation, you can go to Cape Fiolent, where, in addition to the most beautiful beaches, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the quaint rocks and the St. George Monastery, and also go scuba diving.

  • The beaches are far away.

From reviews about holidays in Sevastopol:

“As a former sailor, I can say that Sevastopol is a beautiful city! I saw a lot, but Sevastopol won my heart! You can walk endlessly along its green alleys, breathe the sea air, and relax in the shade of the trees. If you want to enjoy nature, there are many excursions in the suburbs for every taste: mountains and monasteries, even waterfalls!”

“Even as a child, my parents took me on vacation to Sevastopol, and since then this city has been the best, most beloved for me! I can walk around it for hours and discover something new and interesting - either a museum or a charming park. I like to swim and sunbathe on Jasper Beach, which is not far from the city - it’s gorgeous there and there’s no rush.”

Sudak - the sunniest resort in Crimea

Another well-known and beloved resort city on the southeastern coast of Crimea is Sudak. Surrounded by mountains, the city is famous for its mild climate, warm sea water and the largest number of sunny days per year in Crimea. People come to Sudak not only for relaxation, but also for treatment - the air saturated with iodine and ozone has a beneficial effect on the body as a whole, and treatment with mud, mineral and sea water is also widely known. The city has a developed infrastructure, a water park (one of the best in Crimea), a dolphinarium, and a beautiful embankment. Among the attractions one can highlight the ancient Genoese fortress, where knightly tournaments are held, and the champagne wine factory of Prince Golitsyn.

Advantages:

  • Favorable climate.
  • The resort is good for recovery.
  • Large selection of entertainment.
  • Acceptable prices.

Flaws: at the height of the season, the sea is dirty and the beaches are crowded.

From reviews of holidays in Sudak:

“We went to Sudak in September, and I remembered this vacation for the rest of my life! Quiet, calm, clear sea, ideal weather, half-empty beaches, fruits. We walked a lot, enjoyed nature, and saw local sights. We will definitely go there, but only out of season, they say there is literally a crush on the beach.”

“I’ve been going on vacation to Sudak for many years, I like this air. I charge myself with iodine and ultraviolet radiation for the whole year, and practically do not get sick. I also love mud treatments - after them the skin is like a baby’s, and swimming is good for muscles and bones.”

Yalta is the most fashionable resort in Crimea

Yalta is the most famous and, perhaps, the most luxurious resort city in Crimea. There are many luxury hotels here owned by famous personalities, luxury yachts can be seen on the pier, villas can be admired in the suburbs, and the best restaurants in Crimea await guests in the city center. Being an amazingly beautiful and picturesque place, Yalta is also an open-air museum. Guests of this city will enjoy the beauty of architectural monuments, ancient palaces and estates, numerous chapels and churches, rich parks and nature reserves. Boat trips, bus and walking excursions are organized from Yalta, and the city also has a zoo and a cable car.

Advantages:

  • Lots of attractions.
  • Developed infrastructure.
  • Luxurious mountain views.
  • It is convenient to get to any corner of Crimea.
  • There are interesting VIP beaches.

Flaws:

  • There are a lot of tourists and few free beaches.
  • High prices.

From reviews about holidays in Yalta:

“My family and I definitely vacation in Yalta every year! For me, this is the most beautiful town in Crimea (we toured the entire peninsula on excursions). I didn’t go into how much cheaper it is to live in villages, we just like to relax in comfort. After all, you can afford it once a year!”

“Almost every season we travel with friends in cars around Crimea. Who cares which is closer, in fact, but I love Yalta. I just like to walk along the long embankment, walk along the streets and admire the beautiful houses. And the botanical garden, and the cable car!.. In general, Yalta is a civilization, a well-groomed southern town, and most of Crimea is villages and nature. One bad thing is that it’s very expensive to stay there for a long time.”

What is the best resort in Crimea?

Surprisingly, there can be many opinions about the same place. This also applies to Crimea. Some people like the resort for its developed infrastructure and abundance of entertainment, others want privacy in the lap of nature. Thus, lovers of silence and empty beaches are better off choosing small villages for their holidays, boarding houses remote from the city, which are found almost everywhere. And holidays in large resort towns during the season “threaten” with crowds of tourists, not very clean beaches and high prices. But a mandatory program for everyone is excursions that will give a true idea of this wonderful place. In Crimea they are represented in incredible numbers, from every corner of the peninsula.
