Big Strange Journey. Mount Hyjal. WOW - How to get to Hyjal Where is Hyjal in WWII

Mount Hyjal was considered one of the most popular locations in the World of Warcraft game. When passing to this location, the player encountered many interesting moments, both in-game and not related to the game. In particular, cases of collisions in this location with logos of the official game developer were mentioned. In a word, getting to Mount Hyjal was always difficult, and soon it completely turned into a closed location, for penetration into which accounts on the official server were blocked. Thus, getting to Mount Hyjal became possible only in special additions to the game, as well as in unlicensed versions.

Although it is believed that all closed locations in the game, including Hyjal, were never specifically closed, but were left inaccessible during the development process. That is why there were no legal ways to get to Hyjal until its official discovery in additions to the game, which were released in accordance with the development of the storyline. IN latest versions of the game, any user can act as a defender of Hyjal.

How to get to Hyjal?

The general order of getting to the specified location is as follows:

  1. You must have a character of levels 78 - 82 and be prepared for the fact that in order to get to the location you will need to complete several tasks.
  2. You can also get to Hyjal through Moonglade. In a place called historical, you will have to perform many feats with famous heroes.
  3. In early versions of the game, you could get to Hyjal by going from Stormguide to Winterspring, and then through the snowy deserts to the Valley of Dark Whispers. The valley is full of demons and other creatures that create barriers to the player's further progress. However, it is precisely this that is the border between Hyjal and other territories, and, therefore, to get to Hyjal you can pass through it.

In an add-on to the game called World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, the Hyjal location became open.

In the world World of Warcraft There are quite a few closed locations, for entering which the blizzards block accounts on official servers. For example Old Ironforge (better known as Old Ironforge) , Gnomish airfield, Hyjal, GM island etc.

It was possible to get to all these territories without much effort: Gnomish airfield- can be reached on foot, and from there is an open entrance to old Ironforge. On GM Island- know where to fall under the textures on Teldrasil and run along a straight texture path, with the sea all around. Hyjal was also easily accessible to those who knew how to jump there over the mountains.

But all this was before patch 2.0.0. With the release of BC, the textures were changed to aerodrome you won’t make it, and even if you get caught at the entrance old Stalgon you will run in one place. Trying to jump in Hyjal You'll hang in the air and won't be able to move...

Let's talk about Hyjale! Even if it remains inaccessible to us, on the contrary, it has become even more interesting for us. We can mount a griffin or a wyvern and fly to Tanaris desert, then saddle your trusty steed and go to Caverns of Time, and remember how it was.

But we’ll most likely remember how it was while playing Warcraft 3.

So, recalling the history of the famous strategy, Hyjalu The entire campaign of the night elves was dedicated. It was there that the whole denouement of the story was.

And I, Izotepkin(Alexander Lashchevsky, to be precise), I will give you a tour especially for you Hyjalu. Let's begin!

[memorable photo] I left from Stormwind (Stormwind) to distant Winter Springs (Winterspring) , having passed through the harsh snowy deserts, I came to a rather devilish place! Dark Whisper Gorge consists of a series of ravines and canyons near a mountain range, which is considered the border between Hijal and valley Winter Springs. The gorge is filled with Burning Legion daemons, including pit lords, defilers, doomguards, and infernals. Thousands of dirty creatures live here, and who controls them is unknown. Here you can see cracks and caves leading deep underground, and not all of them look natural - perhaps demons are digging a tunnel under the top, right to Well of Eternity(more on him later).

And here I am, I entered Hyjal.

[memorable photo] Interesting place...Very interesting. The first thing I saw was some kind of stone, similar to the stone of meetings, but it was written on it " entrance to Hyjal". I walked slowly along a green clearing along the road, I met friendly fireflies. After walking about 2 miles, I met Trees of War- magical trees that can move and even fight. Trees of War- the best defenders of their lands and warriors.

[memorable photo] People, elves And orcs were forced to join forces to win whip, but nothing remains of their union; now they are fighting each other in all corners of the world. And here I came across an amazing picture: orcs And People stand, preparing to meet their opponent and not let him leave Hyjal, even after the loss of the main troops. Just like I said prophet (Medivh) in the third part of the trilogy, that they should unite, most likely because of this whip for many years does not leave the cursed lands.

[memorable photo] Looking ahead more carefully, fear enveloped me: I saw whip! Banshee- the souls of dead people who do not know good. Bone Dragons who are most eager to kill. I had a desire to return, but still I decided to continue the research:
climbed the mountains and passed this terrible place, after which there was a green lawn again. Unfortunately, this entire lawn was saturated with death, and there was a ravine next to the road. Looking at the very bottom of the ravine, I saw a cave in the mountain! What kind of cave is this? Maybe this is a prison Illidan, but, unfortunately, I can’t give you anything other than memorable photographs.

[memorable photo] Disappointed that I didn't remember the story about this cave, I moved on. There was a flag on the path Alliance, which means that the city in which she commanded must be not far away Jaina Proudmoore- great magician (she now lives in Theramore). However, my hopes are that warriors will meet me Alliance, were destroyed. Destroyed just like this city. Only those who know history and historical maps well can know that there was a city here. Hyjala, since there is a crater with a bunch of skeletons. I think these skeletons were once people who tried to protect Proudmoore, but instead lost their lives. It's still a miracle that the sorceress was able to leave Hyjal and regain strength Alliance (and yours) in other territories. There's nothing to see here.

[memorable photo] Traveling further along the road, I encountered spiders 3-4 times larger than me, and I was forced to hide from them behind the trees... They probably hadn’t eaten living flesh for a long time. Only spiders began to be seen less often along the road, and again there was a crater. There are already some stone creatures there (elementals) who are ready to fall with all their weight and kill. Fortunately, they didn't notice me.

[memorable photo] There was something high ahead, I couldn’t make out what: a mountain or a tree. It barely looks like a mountain, and the trees are not that tall. SAME NORDRASIL(so called World Tree) ! It looks very strange: its roots seem to have crawled out of the ground about 20 meters, and underneath them is a lake, or rather the Well of Eternity. This tree slowly heals its wounds, and the night elves dream that when the tree fully restores its strength, they will regain immortality. The bones of Archimonde, the great demon lord who led the invasion of Azeroth in the Third War, still hang from the mighty branches of the colossal tree. The well under it - big pond with water overflowing with mana in its primal form, the most powerful source of mystical magic in the world.

Walking along the path next to the tree, I stumble upon the most amazing thing in Hyjal: " Blizzard Constraction Co."

I saw a lot of strange things in Hyjale, from dragons to tablets Blizzard"ov. This mysterious place, and it is not known why Blizzard it was drawn (but we know that it will be opened in Cataclysm) . After all, it's part of the story Warcraft, on these grounds I can answer the question " why was it put on the map, leaving it inaccessible".

Interesting Facts:

  • On one of the mountains, it is one of the highest in Hyjale and the only one with a snowy top is a crashed gnomish plane: it seems that I am not the first who decided to find out about this place in detail, but most likely the one who wanted to do it before me did not succeed.
  • There is a cave there, but the entrance to it is again closed (I talked about it, and yet, I’ll repeat it).
  • Some structures that still remain resemble the architecture of Ancient Greece.

If you're interested, so be it, I'll give you a couple of cheeky tips on how to get there:

  • Download WoW to version 2.0.0 and jump on rocks.
  • I WILL KILL FOR THIS METHOD!!! Download WoW Emu Hacker and don't bother with the first method.
ATTENTION!!! You can only meet mobs on servers with a patch higher than 3.0!

Mount Hyjal

Mount Hyjal is one of the most famous places in the Warcraft universe, famous for the fact that at its top there is the World Tree of Nordrassil, under the roots of which is hidden the Second Well of Eternity - a large pond of water overflowing with mana in its original form. Hyjal was first shown in the last mission of "Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos", where all races united against the Demons who wanted to destroy the World Tree and take control of the Well of Eternity.

A little history:

Where did this Hyjal with the World Tree come from? Before the Great Rift (well, when it boomed and the world scattered into continents), Illidan Stormrage took several vials of water from the first Well of Eternity. He went to the lake at the top of Mount Hyjal. Illidan poured water into the lake, and at that moment another Well of Eternity appeared on the new continent of Kalimdor. Soon the new well was discovered by Malfurion Stormrage. He did not want the Well to bring the Legion into this world again, and he did not want to destroy the Well, lest it cause an even greater catastrophe, and then he called on the dragons to help.

The queen of the red dragons, Alexstrasza, planted an acorn at the Well, from which grew a powerful tree that hid and protected the Well. The World Tree was named Nordrassil, which means “Crown of Heaven.” Other dragons supported Alexstrasza and filled the tree with amazing powers: the bronze dragon Nozdormu gave the night elves immortality while Nordrassil stood; the green dragon Ysera connected the tree to her ethereal dimension, allowing the druids to use the tree as a gateway to the Emerald Dream; and Alexstrasza gave the night elves immunity to diseases (Sounds almost like a buff in CLK).

The boring story is over

With the release of World of Warcraft, many players were interested in this location and it seemed to be on the map, and it seemed possible to go there...

However, there we meet a pack of elite demons and an incomprehensible, I would even say stupid, dead end.

Everything seemed to indicate that Hyjal would appear in the near future and the guys from the League of Explorers seemed to get there and post screenshots and videos...

However, Blizzard showed a big fig and Hyjal was never opened, however, with the release of the 1st addon The Burning Crusade, Bliz announced that the raid “Battle for Mount Hyjal” will be released, which is actually a remix of the last mission “Warcraft3: Reign of Chaos” which I mentioned earlier wrote. However, with the release of the add-on, it turned out that not everything was so simple, or rather, you had to wait a couple of patches and here you have Hyjal. The inst turned out to be very interesting, while going through it I constantly remember the last Mission of Warcraft3, even The names of the bosses in WoW and the names of the enemy heroes in Warcraft3 are the same, the only difference is that Archimonde (the main villain) managed to jump over the mountains and he is already standing by the tree and what- it does something bad to him)

Here is a detailed and epic video about this raid.

But still this is not enough, raid is raid, but where is the lock itself? what's wrong with her now? what about the tree? These questions disappeared into oblivion for several years, because WOTLK came out with Northrend. We need to pack our bags and go kill Kel "Thuzad and Arthas) in general, Hyjal is definitely not yet 2 years away...

BUT! At the close of 2009, Blizzard announced that the 3rd add-on to WoW - Cataclysm - was coming out and everyone’s favorite Hyjal would be there! Hurray! And so, what will happen in Hyjal with the release of the cataclysm, here is my video that I made to briefly show what will happen there:

The plot of the mess is as follows (You could have read all this earlier, so I’m writing to jog your memory):

Apparently, we will have to act as its defender (yes, we can mess around with this piece of wood for as long as we can). In this battle you will be helped by such persons as Malfurion, Ysera, Stormrage and Hamuul Runetotem. The battle should be interesting, because you will have to destroy the twilight dragons near the Gorge of Sinister Whispers, repel the army of the Lord of Fire, and, of course, return Ragnaros to the Elemental Realm. The new location "Mount Hyjal" will be available for heroes from level 78, and it is best to level up there until level 82. As in many locations, you will also be given many tasks in this zone; phasing technology will be used for the first time in this zone, which will allow raids to move into the fiery expanses (a new raid dungeon).

World Tree.
Players will be able to get to Mount Hyjal through Moonglade and Winterspring. IN historical place for Azeroth, you will have to perform several feats together with the venerable warriors of Azeroth. As you watch centuries-old rivals battle for treason in the night elf camp, which could easily undermine the company against Stormwing, you quickly realize that protecting Nordrassil is a much more difficult task than you might think. To win, you will have to gather the mighty support of the extremely powerful allied forces of the Ancients.

Ancient.
In order to recapture Nordrassil and repair all the damage caused to Hyjal during the battles of the fire elementals, you will first have to recapture the sanctuary of the wolf god Goldenmane. The ogres who have settled near this temple will not allow you to pass without a fight, but by capturing the temple you will get a chance to get into the Firelands and destroy the Twilight Portal, interrupting the opportunity to slow down the Twilight's Hammer invasion of Mount Hyjal.

By destroying 1 portal, you will help the Spirit wildlife Essine to heal and revive the nearby forest, thereby returning the land to its former power, strength and beauty. This small victory will not be enough to prevent the invasion of the Twilight's Hammer, which intends to burn the forest by any means. Not only do you need to hold off these enemies, but you also need to help the Guardians of Hyjal (a new faction in wow cataclysm).

It is said that Malorne was seen in Mount Hyjal, but these are only rumors. Further investigations are planned.

In this terrible house, the Crow Druids will also ask you for help to resurrect the goddess of winged creatures. In the first missions you will need to kill a squad of black dragons and destroy the 2nd portal to the Firelands from the inside. When the situation heats up, you will have to go through the city of the Night Elves engulfed in flames, because you will have to destroy the last 3 portal! The turtle god Tortullus will help you in this task.

Gorge of Sinister Whispers.
After completing all the missions on Mount Hyjal, you will have to appear before the council of the Ancients, who have begun a campaign to recreate this world and summon the strongest demigod who will become a powerful ally in battle. But before that, you have to get into the Tesina of Sinister Whispers, dressed as a follower of the Twilight's Hammer cult. You will have to make quick decisions to develop hostility among the cultists and disarm them before the upcoming battle. Only time can show how effective the Ancients' plan was. But since there is a plan to save Mount Hyjal, then you must fulfill your share of the plan =).

The number of dungeons and instances in WoW has grown steadily from expansion to expansion. The most interesting of them appear in The Burning Crusade. And in Cataclysm, the number of interesting raid dungeons is off the charts. The only exception is Warlords of Draenor. Although a considerable number of instances have been added there, the gameplay has been killed. But that is not all.

World of Warcraft has great amount inst. They are all similar, but some stand out in particular. The more interesting it will be to disassemble them. For example, in this article we will try to analyze why the Battle of Mount Hyjal is so attractive. The insta mechanics are very different from regular dungeons. Now a little more detail.

Insta characteristics

The Battle of Mount Hyjal first appeared in The Burning Crusade expansion. Inst is designed for level 70 players in the amount of 25 people. To successfully complete this raid, you need not only to mindlessly kill monsters, but also to actively contact various characters. Because without this it will be impossible to receive the task. Upon completing the insta, the player receives the “Hand of A’Dal” achievement. To do this you need to kill the boss named Archimonde. When passing this instance, the player's reputation will increase. But not in Stormwind or Ogrimar. Here your Sandscale comrades will treat you better. What kind of faction this is can be found out in more detail in the Azeroth Encyclopedia. Of course, Sand Scales are of little use. But for the collection, let it be.

Stages

To start the passage you will need to talk to Lady Jaina Proudmoore. After this, the first wave of mobs will begin. At the end of each one, a boss appears. There are eight waves in total. In order to wait for a new one, you need to talk to the NPC again. This is the mechanics of this insta. "The Battle of Mount Hyjal" can give good things and a considerable amount of reputation. Each wave of mobs contains 10-15 creatures. They differ in complexity. Naturally, the eighth (based on the Horde) will be the toughest. But if the raid participants are dressed normally and have straight arms, then there is nothing to worry about. If there are “noobs” and “crayfish” in your raid, then I sincerely feel sorry for you. More or less experienced players are needed here.

Entrance

In early versions of WoW (The Burning Crusade), the Battle for Mount Hyjal raid could only be entered by completing the Vessels of Eternity quest. However, in the WOTLK and Cataclysm versions, everything changed. Perhaps this is for the best. Because many players were not happy with such blatant discrimination. Everyone wanted to complete the epic Battle of Mount Hyjal raid. The entrance to the inst is now located in Tanaris, in the Caverns of Time. And any group that has reached the required level can enter there.

This change was unanimously accepted by all players. Naturally, those who reached the required level rushed to conquer this institution. However, many suffered a crushing defeat. Because for the best result, it’s worth completing the quest “Vessels of Eternity.” It gives some idea of what you will encounter in the raid.

Bosses

There are a certain number of bosses in this insta. And something “tasty” falls out of each one. The first boss appears after the starting wave of mobs. His name is Fierce Cold. After him, Anetheron, Kaz'Rogal, Azlagor and Archimonde appear. It is the last of these that is the most important stage. Without it, it is impossible to complete the “Battle for Mount Hyjal” inst and get the achievement.

In principle, bosses in this instance can be killed quite easily. This is not Deathwing. The only exception is Archimonde. You'll have to tinker with him, because this comrade likes to use all sorts of effects of stunning, slowing down, etc. But everything comes to an end. And Archimonde too.

Conclusion

Inst is good because it is different from other raids. Sometimes it's nice to break out of the monotony of the WoW gaming world. Although there is little of it there. Proof of this is the Battle of Mount Hyjal. World of Warcraft Warlords of Draenor, for example, no longer has such variety. Everything there is boringly simple. The only remaining expansion that maintains the tradition of classic WoW is Cataclysm. This is what you need to play.

The rest at the Forest Song shelter was short-lived. Morning breaks through the foliage and it’s time to hit the road again, but where? In the east lie the Steppes, where the Horde rules, in the south are the mountains, behind which are the Wastelands, lands no less dangerous, where a lonely traveler can not only get lost, but also be captured by semi-wild centaurs, and ancient evil lurks in the depths of Maradona and not everyone will find the way back from this stone labyrinth. In the north is the Fel Forest, and although the elves are strong there, these places are still inhospitable. But... what is that visible there behind the high hills? The night elves smile mysteriously and you won’t get a straight answer from them. However, if you were engaged not only in battles and crafts, but also studied old legends, then you can easily remember what is there.

Sacred Mount Hyjal, the site where the final battle of the Third War took place and where Archimonde, one of the leaders of the Burning Legion, fell. It was a battle in which the Alliance and Horde put aside their differences and fought back against the demons of Sargeras. Yes, the price of victory was high. Archimonde was close to destroying the Tree, but Malfurion was able to stop him and defeat the demon...

“...For many years, Mount Hyjal and the wounded World Tree, Nordrassil, remained cut off from Azeroth. Malfurion Stormrage covered Nordrassil with an impenetrable protective dome of foliage, under which the Tree slowly returned to life, healing the wounds inflicted on it during the Third War. In those distant days, Malfurion called upon the powers of the Tree to destroy the demon Archimonde and repel the forces of the Scourge and the Burning Legion. Now, when a cataclysm is inevitable, the World Tree is again under threat. From the Firelands in the Elemental Plane, Ragnaros and his minions prepare to invade Hyjal to burn Nordrassil. And this fire will endanger all life in Azeroth..."

I think that the beginning of this preview on Mount Hyjal, a location that will finally become available in Cataclysm, has already been read by many. Hyjal will be open to characters of levels 78-82 and there we will be able to take part in events and meet many significant characters from the Warcraft universe, among which, of course, Malfurion stands out. The lore associated with this zone promises to be rich also because there will be an entrance to the Elemental Plane, where we will meet Ragnaros. But that will come later, but for now...

It is no secret that Mount Hyjal is a “hidden location.” That is, it is present in the game, but you cannot get into it. Let's just say where, having gone back in time, you can take part in that very epic battle with Archimonde. True, for this you will need a company of 15-20 people, since this raid and TBC content is designed for 25 people.

You cannot legally enter the version that borders Felwood and Acheval. The neighbors even put a fence in the way of the adventurers, who did find the path, but when you try to get there, you are immediately ported to a place quite far from this barrier. However, there are still ways, if not to run around the area, then at least to see what it looks like. But it’s worth getting there, the area is very picturesque, not to mention the fact that Archimonde’s skull on the World Tree looks epic. And the location itself will have to change significantly. Now it’s quiet there, no mobs, except for birds flying here and there

The screenshots you will see below are not copy-paste from the Internet. I made them myself, but I won’t say how yet. True, I think that hunters and shamans will figure out how this is done.
