Aeroflot internal rules for carrying hand luggage. Rules for carrying hand luggage on Aeroflot flights. Free transportation of cargo and luggage at Aeroflot: principles and standards

For many years, the aviation company Aeroflot has occupied one of the leading positions among aviation companies in the Russian Federation, noticeably winning in a number of indicators. Every day, the services of this airline are used by hundreds of passengers who, in addition to luggage, take luggage with them. Therefore, it is useful to understand which ones are approved restrictions and baggage allowances for Aeroflot.

Baggage rules

To understand what the requirements of the passenger baggage control system are, it is necessary to understand the important principles and standards of transportation. Travelers' belongings are divided by weight into hand luggage and luggage. Check-in items are items that are transported to a specially designated section of the aircraft. Before handing over the cargo, it must be registered, after which a special mark is placed on it. The passenger has the right to take only important things with him into the cabin, for example a woman’s handbag. To ensure reliable security, all passengers, without exception, are required to undergo inspection of personal and checked-in items.

All clients are provided with the service of transporting personal belongings and checked-in cargo free of charge.

For any existing Aeroflot flights, depending on the selected category of air ticket and the fare for a particular flight, baggage calculations are performed based on the number of seats.

Free transportation of cargo and luggage at Aeroflot: principles and standards

When transporting weight, the following rules for the carriage of baggage by Aeroflot apply:

  • its width, length and height are measured, which in total should be less than 158 cm;
  • people who have purchased an economy category air ticket on an Aeroflot plane are provided with a single unpaid seat weighing no more than 23 kg;
  • Aeroflot tourists who purchased the Comfort and Economy categories at a premium rate are entitled to two such seats no heavier than 23 kg each;
  • For passengers flying business class, there are also baggage restrictions. One such ticket is valid for two pieces of checked-in items weighing no more than 32 kg per piece;
  • In addition, you are allowed to take carry-on luggage of certain sizes on board Aeroflot: 55 cm wide, 40 cm high and 20 cm thick.

Depending on the ticket class, the maximum weight of baggage that can be carried free of charge varies:

  • for economy and comfort class - 10 kg;
  • The norm for business class is 15 kg.

There are cases when Aeroflot operates code-share flights - that is, combined with other aviation companies, often with such as Rossiya and Aurora. On such flights, the companion company's rules for carrying free baggage apply.

When carrying cargo on an Aeroflot aircraft, each Aeroflot ticket bears the inscription 1рс. Very often, passengers do not know what this means - this indicates the amount of luggage that the client can transport for free.

Overweight baggage fee

When does the need for additional payment arise? For cargo that weighs more than permissible, takes up more space, that is, oversized, you have to pay extra.

Aeroflot surcharge for an extra seat:

  • if things take up more than one allowed place, then for the second place you will have to pay an additional 2,500 rubles;
  • if more than two places are required, the additional payment is 7,500 rubles;
  • in the case where a person is given two places for bags free of charge, but he needs more, then he will need to pay 7,500 rubles. for extra space in the luggage compartment.
  • when the weight of paid or unpaid baggage exceeds the established standards, but does not weigh more than 32 kg, the client pays 2,500 rubles for the excess.
  • in cases where the weight of bags and suitcases is from 32 to 50 kg, the additional payment is 5,000 rubles.

You can deposit money for excess relative norms of kg or excess baggage dimensions on the plane at a special window at the airport, which is located next to the customer check-in counters. You can also always turn to the working staff: they will tell the tourist everything that is not clear.

Starting last year, when traveling on company planes, in addition to weight restrictions, baggage and baggage size restrictions began to apply:

  • in cases where the total amount of cargo measurements does not exceed 203 cm, you need to pay an additional 5,000 rubles;
  • for luggage whose length on three sides exceeds 203 cm in total, the additional payment is 7,500 rubles per piece.

It is worth noting that you need to pay extra for both free and paid places.

Let’s summarize Aeroflot’s baggage standards and carry-on baggage allowances:

  • air passengers who have purchased economy class tickets have the right to transport 23 kg (but not more) of baggage and 10 kg of baggage limit free of charge;
  • clients of the “comfort” and “economy” classes at the premium fare are provided with 2 x 23 kg spaces for things in a special section and are allowed to take hand luggage no more than 10 kg;
  • For business class clients, there are 2 rented places for items weighing no more than 32 kg per place. Additionally, you can take a bag of up to 15 kg with the necessary things into the aircraft cabin.

If you are interested in any questions regarding the transportation of baggage on Aeroflot aircraft, you can ask them on the official website of the company aeroflot.ru. Customer support specialists are always happy to help and answer any questions about baggage standards.

Since November of this year, new baggage rules on Aeroflot aircraft have come into effect. Interestingly, the set of amended standards is now general and applies to all airlines without exception. To avoid problems along the way, it is recommended to take time to study new provisions, which will undoubtedly avoid problems and difficult situations on the road.

General rules of transportation

In order to more fully see the picture of baggage transportation on airplanes, it is necessary to outline the basic standards for baggage transportation and analyze the concepts used.

All things necessary for the airline client and collected for the trip are divided into the following types:

  • hand luggage - items that, according to the rules, are allowed to be carried into the aircraft cabin at the rate of 1 bag - 1 piece;
  • luggage – large-sized property, for example, suitcases, bags, which are checked and marked before the flight, and then placed in a separate aircraft compartment.

As for the general rules of transportation, the following main points can be highlighted:

  • the passenger has the right to bring personal items into the cabin that are not on the list of prohibited items;
  • all baggage must undergo a pre-flight inspection procedure for the safety of the latter;
  • Check-in of suitcases is calculated based on the number of seats on all Aeroflot routes and depends on the class of ticket and the fare at which it was purchased.

Since November 5 of this year, the regulations on the carriage of hand luggage and baggage on airplanes have undergone some changes. These did not affect tickets sold under standard offers, while for non-refundable and cheaper fares the rules have changed somewhat.

Transporting hand luggage

Previously, the weight and other parameters of hand luggage were subject to the rules established by the airlines themselves, so the standards had significant differences. Now the characteristics of things allowed to be placed in the aircraft cabin and not requiring payment must meet the same requirements for all carriers.

The list of conditions includes:

  1. The total weight of luggage should not exceed 5 kg. At the same time, airlines can increase the norm at will, for example, up to 7 or even 10 kg. You should focus on the indicated value of 5 kg.
  2. The size of a bag taken on a plane should be no more than 115 cm. To calculate, you will need to add up the parameters of the bag or other item. Average figures are 55×40×

These rules apply to tickets purchased at a non-refundable rate. For other proposals, the norms have not changed. For example, in business class you can still take things and objects weighing up to 15 kg, but the total size of these should also not be more than 115 cm.

In addition, if previously laptops, phones, cameras, folders with documents, books and umbrellas were not included in the list of hand luggage, now their weight is also taken into account when calculating the total amount of such.

Before the flight, all hand luggage must be weighed. If the total value exceeds the acceptable limit, the list of items will need to be revised. Otherwise, airport staff have the right to not allow the passenger to board.

What can not be checked in as hand luggage?

A list of items allowed for transportation in the aircraft cabin has been introduced. However, they are not taken into account when calculating the total weight of hand luggage.

The list of things includes the following items:

  • women's bag, backpack;
  • food for children;
  • outerwear;
  • cane, crutches;
  • a stroller, a cradle, a walker that can fit under the chair in front if folded;
  • bouquet of flowers;
  • medical chair;
  • musical instruments, and if their size is more than 158 cm and their weight is up to 80 kg, then a separate permit for their transportation will be required.

Medicines and duty-free goods in a sealed bag are also allowed on the plane, but are not hand luggage.

Prohibited items

The list of items whose transportation in the aircraft cabin is strictly prohibited includes:

  • piercing, cutting objects;
  • weapons, ammunition and items imitating them, including toys;
  • hazardous chemical compounds, for example, toxic, explosive substances;
  • devices or other items containing magnets and magnetized elements.

Liquids are allowed to be carried in containers of no more than 100 ml. In this case, the total amount should be no more than 1 liter. Containers with liquids must be placed in a transparent bag.

Oversized luggage

Transportation items exceeding the established size of hand luggage are classified as oversized baggage.

They are transported in a separate compartment of the aircraft. The rule applies: 1 place - 1 bag.

The parameters of baggage allowed for free transportation, as well as the number of seats provided for transportation, depend on the selected fare. In this case, the maximum weight limit cannot exceed 30 kg.

  1. The baggage parameters are:
  2. Economy class. 1 free suitcase space is provided here. The weight in this case should not exceed the limit of 23 kg. If a ticket is purchased at the Premium fare, the passenger is provided with 2 free pieces of baggage transportation.
  3. Comfort class. Here, 2 free seats are provided free of charge, but the weight limit is also 23 kg.

Business Class. Allowed to use 2 free places. The maximum weight is 30 kg.

As for the dimensions of luggage, it cannot exceed 158 cm, obtained by adding the length, width and height of the item.

The general weight limit for free baggage is 10 kg. The airline does not have the right to set a lower weight limit for large luggage.

Before the flight, all luggage must be weighed. If the permissible limits are exceeded, the passenger will be required to pay additional payment.

Video about luggage

The rules for transporting baggage on Aeroflot aircraft have changed slightly compared to the previous year. The maximum weight limits for hand luggage and large items have been tightened. Moreover, the values largely depend on the tariff at which the ticket was purchased. Before planning a trip, it is recommended to carefully study the new norms and choose the option that is most suitable for your particular case.

On February 15, 2018, Aeroflot began strictly checking the size, quantity and weight of hand luggage. The hand luggage of all passengers is now not only counted and weighed, but also placed in a calibrator - a measuring frame.

Depending on the airport, they may be checked several times: at check-in, before passport control and at the boarding gate.

Latest changes to Aeroflot's hand luggage rules in 2018

  • checking the weight, dimensions and amount of hand luggage for all passengers;
  • the dimensions of hand luggage were increased by 5 cm - up to 55x40x25 cm;
  • in hand luggage you can carry musical instruments up to 135 cm in total dimensions and a guitar of any size;
  • a camera, laptop, book and umbrella are now included in the main (and not additional, as was previously the case) hand luggage and are also subject to weighing.

In addition to the main piece of hand luggage weighing 10-15 kg and dimensions 55x40x25 cm, you can carry on board free of charge:

  • a backpack weighing 5 kg and measuring no more than 80 cm in the sum of three dimensions, or a handbag, or a briefcase;
  • one sealed duty free bag measuring no more than 115 cm in the sum of three dimensions;
  • bouquet of flowers;
  • outerwear;
  • baby food for the duration of the flight;
  • suit in a suitcase;
  • a cradle or restraint device for children under 2 years of age or a folding stroller weighing no more than 7 kg and dimensions no more than 42x50x20 cm;
  • medications required during the flight;
  • crutches, canes, walkers, rollators, wheelchairs.

A laptop, camera, book and folding umbrella now need to be packed inside the main piece of hand luggage. You can put your phone in your pocket. The umbrella cane must be checked in as luggage.

You can put things in the frame on either side, but if the wheels or handle are sticking out, you will have to check them in as luggage (if you exceed the limit, you will have to pay extra). They can check at check-in, before passport control and before the boarding gate.

You can take free of charge in your hand luggage on board Aeroflot:
  • one piece measuring 55x40x25 cm and weighing 10 kg in Economy and Comfort classes and 15 kg in Business class;
  • a backpack of 5 kg and 80 cm in the sum of three dimensions or a handbag or briefcase;
  • a duty-free package, outerwear, a suit in a briefcase, a folding baby stroller, a bouquet of flowers, medicines, a folding wheelchair for people with disabilities.

You cannot pay and carry more items in your hand luggage than you are allowed.

How to carry duty-free goods in hand luggage

You can take into the salon one sealed branded duty free bag measuring no more than 115 cm in the sum of three dimensions. There are no restrictions on the volume of liquids for duty-free purchases: feel free to buy alcohol and perfume in bottles larger than 100 ml, just do not open the package before leaving the city at the arrival airport.

What cannot be carried in Aeroflot hand luggage:

  • sharp objects with a blade longer than 60 mm: knives, scissors, corkscrews, needles, knitting needles. If the blade is shorter, it may still be prohibited by airport security, so it's safer to check it in your luggage;
  • liquids, gels and aerosols in containers larger than 100 ml: cream, honey and jam will not be allowed through. An exception is baby food and a special diet (a doctor’s certificate is required);
  • flammable and explosive substances, pyrotechnics: gas cylinder for a tourist burner, firecrackers, sparklers. But you can use one regular gas lighter;
  • alcohol, except for those purchased in duty-free;
  • weapons and ammunition;
  • weapon simulators (including toy ones);
  • lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of more than 160 Wh. From 100 to 160 Wh - airline permission required. Up to 100 Wh (phones, laptops) - can be inside the equipment, pack spare batteries so that there is no short circuit;
  • Segways, hoverboards, hoverboards, electric scooters, and unicycles powered by lithium batteries must be checked in as baggage by removing the battery, which is only allowed in hand luggage.

How many things can you check in for free at Aeroflot?

Aeroflot has a piece luggage system. 1PC or 2PC on a ticket means how many pieces of baggage of a certain weight you can check in. In business class you have two seats - 32 kg each, in Comfort and Economy Premium - two seats of 23 kg, in other Economy fares - one seat 23 kg.

The maximum dimensions for free baggage are 158 cm in the sum of length, width and height. Anything that does not fit in is checked in at excess baggage rates.

Is it possible to add up the weight and size of luggage?

If you are flying with your family, friend or colleague on the same ticket, you can combine the allowed weight of free baggage. That is, a husband and wife have the right to check in suitcases weighing 20 and 26 kilograms instead of two weighing 23 kilograms without additional payment, or distribute the weight in another way. But there is a limitation: each suitcase must be within 32 kg.

For two people, 158 + 158 = 316 cm is the sum of length, width and height. This means that you can check in one bag measuring 203 cm and a second bag measuring 113 cm free of charge in the luggage compartment. A bag larger than 203 cm cannot be shared.

How much does it cost to pay extra for overweight and oversized luggage at the airport?

Baggage that exceeds the free allowance in terms of the number of pieces, weight and dimensions is rented for an additional fee. On flights within Russia you will have to pay from 2,500 to 7,500 rubles, depending on what and how much is exceeded. For example, you will pay 2,500 rubles if you keep within 32 kg. Surcharge on international flights - from 50 to 200 euros. Baggage from 32 to 50 kg and more than 203 cm in the sum of three dimensions can only be transported by agreement with the airline.

What cannot be carried in Aeroflot checked baggage

  • alcohol stronger than 70 degrees;
  • more than 5 liters of alcohol from 24 to 70 degrees;
  • explosives and flammable substances, compressed and liquefied gases: paints, solvents, butane, propane, including in cylinders for burners, liquid and gas for refilling lighters, gasoline and diesel, ethyl alcohol, acetone;
  • gas and gasoline lighters;
  • magnetized substances;
  • toxic, caustic and corrosive substances: hydrochloric acid, bleach;
  • weapons and ammunition are allowed to be transported on an airplane, but separately from luggage and must be specially registered;
  • e-Sigs;
  • lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of more than 160 Wh, from 100 to 160 Wh - with the permission of the airline, inside the equipment. Small lithium-ion batteries up to 100 Wh for phones and laptops can be carried in luggage only inside equipment; take spare batteries in hand luggage.

As a rule, when preparing for a trip (on vacation, on a business trip or just on business), we understand that we need to pack our things for the trip, so we begin to find out what size and weight of luggage is allowed from the air carrier whose ticket we purchased. At the same time, there are things that can be taken into the airplane cabin (), and there are things that can be checked in as checked luggage (which is considered checked), and some things are generally prohibited for air transportation. I have already described the carry-on luggage of major Russian air carriers: , . And now it’s time to talk about the things checked into the luggage compartment of these same companies. So, what can and cannot be taken with you in a suitcase on board a plane ( updated to reflect new baggage rules for fall 2017).

We will deal with luggage using the example of the largest Russian company Aeroflot; the baggage rules of other air carriers are not very different, so let’s get started. It’s always annoying to see various nuances that come up when it’s too late: they don’t let you board the plane with your huge bag, which turns out to contain the head of an animal prohibited for export, for example. Therefore, it is better to find out all the features in advance by reading about it than to be upset about wasted time, or even money (forewarned is forearmed).

Aeroflot calls baggage that you check into the cargo compartment and do not have access to during the flight as checked baggage, because... you hand it over under their responsibility. And look for yourself. However, do not forget that compensation for lost luggage may be too insignificant, this is one of the reasons why we always buy travel insurance before the flight. Tourist insurance, as a rule, covers such important risks as:

  • Damage and loss of luggage or its contents
  • Ban on flights, including denial of a visa to another country (it was for fear of not getting a visa that we bought our first insurance).
  • medical risks

Since January 1, 2017, the Internet has been filled with information about the ban on the import of imported alcoholic beverages into Russia. I want to dispel your doubts about whether or not to bring alcohol to Russia in 2017, according to the latest data, it was found out directly from Domodedovo customs (floridly, indicating articles and not particularly directly), that, You can carry 3 liters of alcohol with your loved ones, as before in checked baggage

Due to changes (new baggage rules) that occurred in the fall of 2017 Aeroflot I have not yet changed the conditions for the carriage of free hand luggage and baggage, so the information below is relevant and valid until the end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018.

Baggage size and weight

Based on the sum of 3 dimensions, the size of checked baggage at Aeroflot should not exceed 158 cm, and the weight of the baggage depends on the class of ticket taken :

  • Business class - 2 seats no more than 32 kg each
  • Comfort class - 2 seats no more than 23 kg each
  • Economy class (Premium group) - 2 seats no more than 23 kg each
  • Economy class - 1 seat no more than 23 kg

If the total weight of luggage (including hand luggage) does not exceed 10 kg, then Aeroflot does not limit the number of pieces of luggage.

There are exceptions on the site, where even more free baggage pieces are given than expected, for example, in such directions as: between Los Angeles and points in the Middle East/Africa/Asia; to/from points in India, etc. see the airline's website.

What can you put in luggage that is checked into the cargo hold of an Aeroflot aircraft?

In addition to your belongings and items that you may need on your trip, Aeroflot allows you to carry the following:

  • crossbows, spearguns, checkers, sabers, cutlasses, scimitars, broadswords, swords, swords, bayonets, daggers, knives: hunting knives, knives with ejectable blades, with locking locks, simulators of any type of weapon;
  • household knives (scissors) with a blade length over 60 mm; alcoholic drinks containing more than 24%, but not more than 70% alcohol by volume in containers with a capacity of no more than 5 liters, in containers intended for retail trade - no more than 5 liters per passenger;
  • liquids and alcoholic drinks with an alcohol content by volume of no more than 24%;
  • aerosols intended for use for sports or household purposes, the release valves of the cans are protected by caps from spontaneous release of contents in containers with a capacity of no more than 0.5 kg or 500 ml - no more than 2 kg or 2 liters per passenger

Carriage as checked baggage at Aeroflot is prohibited:

Aeroflot excess baggage

Excess baggage rules apply when carried on Aeroflot flights, except for joint flights with other airlines, where there are rules for another carrier (Aeroflot calls them codeshare flights). The exceptions are airlines such as Aurora and Rossiya.

Aeroflot's excess baggage is divided into categories:

Tariffs in rubles are charged for transportation within Russia, and tariffs in USD (for transportation from points in the USA, Canada, Middle East, Africa, Ukraine, Asia, except points of the Russian Federation in Asia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan) and EUR (other transportation ).

  1. Excess of free baggage allowance may be based on the number of pieces:
  • 2nd place (no more than two in total) - transportation within Russia 2500 rubles, as well as tariffs in USD and EUR - 50 conventional units.
  • 3rd and subsequent pieces (or in excess of two pieces of free baggage, or in excess of one free and additional baggage) - transportation within Russia 7,500 rubles, as well as fares in USD and EUR - 150 conventional units.

2. Excess of free baggage allowance may be by weight:

  • Over 23 kg, but not more than 32 kg - transportation within Russia is 2500 rubles, as well as tariffs in USD and EUR - 100 conventional units.
  • Over 32 kg, but not more than 50 kg - transportation within Russia is 5,000 rubles, as well as tariffs in USD and EUR - 150 conventional units.

3. Excess of free baggage allowance can be the sum of three dimensions:

  • Over 158 cm, but not more than 203 cm - transportation within Russia is 5,000 rubles, as well as tariffs in USD and EUR - 100 conventional units.
  • Over 203 cm - transportation within Russia is 7,500 rubles, as well as tariffs in USD and EUR - 150 conventional units.

In Russia, Aeroflot accepts foreign currency in rubles at the “systemic” rate, which is calculated based on the rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, and rates are updated at Aeroflot on Wednesdays. Those. Exchange rates are calculated based on the previous Wednesday of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

The largest and oversized luggage (this is 32 kg, but not more than 50 kg and exceeding 203 cm in the sum of 3 dimensions) must be agreed upon with the carrier.

Non-standard luggage in the luggage compartment of an Aeroflot aircraft

Aeroflot asks that all non-standard baggage be approved when purchasing an air ticket: skiing, sports equipment; bicycles; golf equipment; fishing equipment; other equipment; weapons and ammunition; musical instruments; the animal must be included in your luggage no later than 36 hours before the flight departure time indicated in the schedule.

Sports equipment and supplies

The following equipment is considered as 1 piece and is included in the free baggage allowance:

  • Ski equipment - case with 1 pair of skis and 1 pair of poles + 1 piece of luggage with 1 pair of boots or 1 case with 1 pair of water skis
  • Snowboard equipment - 1 case with 1 snowboard + 1 piece of luggage with 1 pair of boots
  • Hockey equipment case with equipment + case with 2 sticks
  • Bicycle – prepared for transportation
  • Golf equipment - the equipment you need, packed in one case
  • Fishing equipment (packed in 1 container or case) - 2 fishing rods and 1 set of tackle
  • Aeroflot can also regard other sports equipment as free baggage if it does not exceed the allowed number of places in the ticket for free baggage allowance.

But at the same time you will have to pay for excess excess in excess of the established free baggage allowance if the quantity, weight or number of free baggage pieces is exceeded.

Weapons and ammunition

The first thing a person transporting a weapon must have with them is permission to store and carry this weapon. Secondly, when booking and checking in for a flight, you need to inform that you are carrying weapons. Weapons and ammunition permitted for carriage in baggage may consist of one piece of baggage with one weapon (or one container specially designed for the carriage of weapons with several weapons belonging to one passenger) and one piece of baggage with ammunition. Such weapons and ammunition are not regarded as a separate place, they go together with your belongings, the main thing is that they do not generally exceed the established free norm (specified above in the article). If it exceeds, you will have to pay for excess baggage. Weapons and ammunition are prohibited from being transported in the same baggage (container). And the gross weight of ammunition cannot exceed 5 kg.

Musical instruments

Aeroflot allows the transportation of musical instruments both in checked luggage and hand luggage. When transported in a passenger seat, the weight of the tool should not exceed 80 kg, dimensions should not exceed 135x50x30 cm. When transported in the luggage compartment, the weight of the tool should not exceed 50 kg. Prior approval with the airline is required no later than 36 hours before the scheduled flight departure time.

Baby stroller, wheelchair

Aeroflot writes that if these items are used and necessary, then this baggage will be considered free. A large wheelchair, powered by batteries and weighing over 32 kg, is transported by agreement with the airline no later than 36 hours before the scheduled departure time of the flight. In addition to a wheelchair, a special-purpose wheelchair is transported free of charge.

Animal in luggage

Aeroflot does not allow pets to be transported for free (the only exception is for a guide dog for a visually impaired person and a dog from the canine service of federal executive authorities; these dogs are allowed in the aircraft cabin). You will have to pay for the rest of the animals. Payment for an animal is charged as for a second piece of luggage; now Aeroflot charges 2,500 rubles if you are flying within Russia or 50 conventional units (euros or dollars), depending on where you are flying abroad. If the animal and its cage exceed the permissible size (weight and size no more than 50 kg), you will need to pay extra as for excess baggage. I repeat, when purchasing a ticket, agree with the carrier that you want to take an animal. Transportation of an animal or bird is possible only by an adult passenger. You must have with you all the necessary documents for the transported animal.

The website says who cannot be carried as baggage:

  1. rodents (guinea pigs, rats, chinchillas, chipmunks, squirrels, gerbils, dormice, marmots, gophers, jerboas, etc.);
  2. reptiles (turtles, iguanas, geckos, chameleons, snakes, lizards, frogs, etc.);
  3. arthropods;
  4. animals and birds that are not domesticated;
  5. sick and experimental animals.

Indoor domesticated animals such as cats, dogs, and birds are accepted for transportation. Other animals, such as ferrets, ferrets, meerkats, fennec foxes, lorises, hedgehogs, mini-rabbits, marmosets and others, are accepted for transportation if they are domesticated pets.

Caution for carrying Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones on board

Back on September 15, 2016, Aeroflot airline announced the news that owners of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones should carry them only in hand luggage, and under no circumstances in luggage. Several incidents of fire and explosion of this smartphone occurred around the world, and Samsung in October of the same year recalled all phones and offered to replace them with another model. In this regard, large Russian airlines, including Aeroflot, expressed their warnings regarding the transportation of this model:

  • Turn off your phone on board an airplane
  • Do not charge it during the entire flight

Some foreign countries have banned the carriage of this smartphone on board; read about them in the article -. This airline has clearly outlined the list of countries that prohibit the transportation of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphone.

    Good evening, I am flying from Dusseldorf to Irkutsk, with a transfer in Moscow. Can I carry small Kaffemaschinu and hard coffee capsules in their original packaging in my hand luggage? Thank you in advance!

        1. It all depends on the flight. If you don’t leave the safe zone and if you don’t open the package from duty free on the plane, then there definitely won’t be a problem. However, I remember that they didn’t bother me with the open bottle. But it depends on your luck

      1. Hello, I’m completely confused, we’re flying to Vladivostok from Altai, we want to take 4 liters of Gorno-Altai non-alcoholic balms and honey as a gift, the balms come in factory packaging of 250 ml. We’re bringing 15 pieces, packed them in our luggage. Could there be problems?

    1. Good afternoon. The import of alcoholic beverages into Russia is regulated by customs rules. Usually this is three liters of strong alcohol per person. Alcohol can only be transported in checked baggage, that is, in the baggage that you check in. Please also note that the airline may impose a rule that alcohol must be in its original packaging, although they often turn a blind eye to this

  1. I'm flying from Berlin to St. Petersburg with Aeroflot. I want to take meat products and cheese in my luggage, but this is the quantity in kg. can I carry it? Free luggage one piece up to 23kg. or is it still 20 kg?

  2. Good evening. Please tell me about the liquid. I understand that the container should not exceed 100 ml and the total weight should not exceed 1000 ml.
    Hence the question... if I have a lot of bottles and testers of 5 by 10 by 15 ml, the total weight does not exceed the norm of 1 liter. Will they let me through))?
    Thank you

  3. Good afternoon I’m returning from Yerevan to Moscow, I want to bring home the local fish Ishkhan, already cooked on coals, to treat my friends, and raw khinkali. Everything is from the store, they are also prepared in the store, I can save the labels. Will they let me through with this food, or might they take something away? Thanks in advance for your answer!

    1. Good afternoon. You can carry food in your luggage, there will be no complaints. There may be questions from customs, but this is also unlikely, since customs turns a blind eye to small human joys (an extra bottle of alcohol or delicious food)

    1. Good afternoon. Jam is a liquid, so the rules for transporting liquids apply to it:
      - no more than a liter in 100 ml containers in hand luggage
      — any volumes in checked baggage within the tariff (permissible weight and volume)
