Bulgarian resorts for families with children. Bulgaria with and without children: where is better? Review of Bulgarian resorts. Resorts for young people

Holidays with children are especially popular among tourists in Bulgaria. The country's resorts have created the necessary infrastructure and conditions for a comfortable stay with small children.

The mild climate, sandy beaches, fresh air and excellent service, all this attracts tourists to the country. One of the advantages is the gentle slope to the sea, which is great for families with children. In addition, on the territory of Bulgaria there is a fairly large number of children’s camps, which provide comfortable conditions, a high level of education and service.

Many hotels provide animator and babysitting services for small children. There are also various attractions, playgrounds and swimming pools for the little ones. In addition, fresh air has a beneficial effect on children's health.

Sozopol

The ancient town of Sozopol is an attractive destination for those who love a varied holiday. Here, throughout almost the entire city, you can get complete wellness and a variety of spa treatments. The resort is a center of mixed tourism, as here you can relax and at the same time get acquainted with various historical events and architectural monuments. The place is an excellent resort area for tourists of any category. The advantage is the opportunity to get both a budget holiday and stay in a good hotel. Among the attractions, the archaeological museum stands out, which will introduce children to the ancient culture of the Black Sea.

Kranevo

Kranevo is a coastal village, which is considered one of the best resorts for families with children on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. This place is aimed at a family-type summer vacation. Kranevo can also provide all conditions for water sports. The resort can provide not only a beach or family vacation, but also an entertainment one. A separate type of services provided is the possibility of treatment. The infrastructure here is very developed, so you can get a good rest. A beach holiday can be suitable even for families with small children, since the beach areas are equipped with a full-fledged entertainment and children's infrastructure.

Sunny Beach

Sunny Beach is located not far from Burgas. This place is one of the most famous resorts in Bulgaria on the Black Sea. Among the advantages of the resort area is a large number of water attractions and children's infrastructure. At the same time, there are all the necessary tourist attractions for the city to be a developed tourist area. All conditions for a complete family holiday are created here. There are all possibilities for any type of holiday, including various spa treatments. This resort is very popular among lovers of entertainment tourism, which is combined with a beach holiday.

Albena

Albena is a coastal resort village located north of Varna. The area surrounding the resort has a lot of historical architectural monuments. It is possible to have a very relaxing holiday here, so there are even simple vacationers here who relax on the numerous beaches of the resort area. There is also the opportunity to spend a family holiday on the territory of large hotel complexes. The city has a very large number of health centers, which allows you to enjoy your health along with your vacation. The village itself has conditions for children of any age to spend time.

Golden Sands

Golden Sands is one of the most popular resorts on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria. This resort has many historical attractions, including religious ones. If necessary, it is possible to get any kind of rest, since the city is very developed. In recent years, such a direction of tourism as family vacations has begun to develop, so many couples with children vacation here. There are a lot of comfortable hotel complexes, as well as various entertainment establishments located here. The city is a small and calm resort that will introduce you to the history of the region and allow you to relax in a comfortable environment.

Pomorie

Pomorie is one of the most developed and largest resorts on the Black Sea on the Bulgarian coast. The family tourism services sector is very developed here. Now the resort is a calm tourist area, which is not only environmentally friendly, but can also provide an opportunity to relax in a quiet environment. Most tourists come here precisely to spend most of their time in silence after relaxing in the surrounding area. This place is perfect for couples with small children. The advantage of the resort is the large bay, which is fenced off by a spit. This allows you to avoid big waves, which attracts tourists with children here. Balchik

Balchik is a Black Sea resort, which is located fifty kilometers from Varna. Near the city there are several sanatorium-resort areas that provide vacationers with spa treatments of various types. Balchik is one of the largest tourist centers for family holidays on the Black Sea. This coastal village is one of the most popular destinations for beach holidays and family fun. There is quite a lot of entertainment infrastructure here. The coast near the city is famous for its children's entertainment centers.

Bulgaria is one of the most popular countries among family tourists. Unlike the Russian Black Sea coast, almost all resorts here have wide sandy beaches and a gentle entrance to the sea, and the hotel infrastructure is close to European standards. At the same time, there is always the opportunity, the old-fashioned way, to rent an apartment in the private sector for a month and relax quite inexpensively.

As elsewhere, there are certain disadvantages and they are connected primarily with the fact that you need to be very meticulous in choosing a resort and hotel, since the price still does not always keep up with the quality. In Bulgaria, you can still get stuck in a less than desirable area and fall back 20 years from civilization.

Conventionally, the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria is divided into northern and southern parts. You will not notice a significant difference, but there is a slight difference in the temperature of the sea water and in the duration of the swimming season. In the southern part of the country, September is considered a holiday month, while in the northern part at this time it is often cloudy and cool.

We don’t want to impose our opinion, but we’ll try :) The younger the child, the less he needs noise, commotion and entertainment on the city streets. There is no point in overpaying for the popularity of the resorts and the proximity of the hotel to the city center. Of course, this is relevant if you yourself do not plan to actively have fun while your grandmother, who is on vacation, puts the child to bed. Therefore, for holidays with children we recommend:.

  1. Albena
  2. Review
  3. Saint Constantine and Helen
  4. Sunny Beach
  5. Golden Sands

Albena

Albena is the only tourist region where there is no private sector. This resort was specially built for the needs of family tourists. The children's infrastructure here is very developed, parents will definitely like it:

  • wide coastline with sandy beaches
  • gentle entrance to the water
  • free sun loungers by the sea (from almost all hotels)
  • many children's climbing frames along the beach line.

The town is designed for a comfortable stay with children under 7 years old. Along the coast there are numerous cafes and restaurants where you can have an inexpensive lunch with the whole family. Here, the hotels do not provide special animation for children, as is customary in Turkey and Egypt, but you can relax with the whole family in a city where all the streets are filled with children's attractions and play complexes.

Pay attention to the topography of the resort! The upper part of Albena is located on a mountain, so the descent and ascent to the sea is by steep steps or by train (for a fee, but can be included in the price of your stay).

Review

A typical representative for a relaxing holiday is a small town. A beautiful place with an amazing combination of forest and sea. If you stay in a 4-star hotel, you can count on the animators to make your vacation more energetic and fun, but otherwise, peace and quiet awaits you here. It is recommended to come here to relax from the bustle of the city with a baby who needs parents, the sea and nothing more. Slightly older kids may find it a little boring here, because there is not much to do.

Saint Constantine and Helen

Sunny Beach is located in the central zone of the Black Sea coast. It is known all over the world, as it is annually awarded the Blue Flag for the cleanest, most well-groomed and comfortable beaches. The city is suitable for both family and active youth recreation. Family tourists are recommended to stay in complexes away from the noisy center.

The resort is quite extensive, so finding a secluded and quiet place is quite possible. The entrance to the sea is gentle, the terrain of the resort is flat. There is somewhere to go for a walk with a stroller or in the evening with the whole family.

Golden Sands

Golden Sands is also located in the northern part of the country's national park. It is considered the largest on the northern coast. It is famous for its developed infrastructure, a large number of medical and sports centers, as well as places for entertainment.

With children, it is better to check into hotels remote from the center so as not to listen to the noise and songs of young people returning from night discos.

In Golden Sands there is the most beautiful water park in Eastern Europe - "".

The embankment here is full of entertainment for kids: trampolines, electric cars and trains, attractions and much more, including an outdoor swimming pool with a variety of water activities.

Dunes

Due to the all-inclusive system, which is in every hotel here, the cost of tours to Dune hotels is quite high, so this resort is considered an elite one. There is not much entertainment in the city itself, but there is enough entertainment on the hotel grounds for children.

For older children there is a water park where you can spend one day of your vacation in an interesting way.

Children's excursions

Varna is worth visiting separately, as the beach area is not suitable for relaxation due to concrete platforms instead of beaches, but there is something to see in the city:

  • playground
  • planetarium
  • aquarium
  • dolphinarium
  • zoo

If children belong to the older and middle age groups, be sure to visit the excursion "". On a real yacht, a child will be able to take part in a sea battle, look for pirate treasures and go on a short trip along the coast. Of course, the presence of parents during such a vacation is mandatory, but they won’t be bored here either, since beer is included in the price of the excursion, and who would leave their child in a real battle with pirate parents on the other side? 🙂

It would be interesting for adults to visit here, but girls should enjoy such a walk, and boys will have somewhere to climb and run, since the garden area is multi-level.

Back in Soviet times, family vacations in Bulgaria were extremely popular, and purchasing a trip to this country was considered a great success. Much water has passed under the bridge since then, but Bulgarian resorts have remained just as wonderful and still attract thousands of tourists every year.

Today we have more options for beach holidays in many parts of the world, but when it comes to kids, Bulgaria is definitely on the list of options. What is the secret of success?

To put it briefly, holidays with children in Bulgaria are comfortable, carefree and inexpensive. You will learn from our article how to use all the tourism opportunities of this country and which resort to choose for a holiday with a child.

Where is Bulgaria

The Republic of Bulgaria is located in the southeastern part of Europe, on the Balkan Peninsula. It borders on Turkey and Greece in the south, Romania in the north, and Serbia and Macedonia in the west. From the east, the country's territory is washed by the waters of the Black Sea. Area - 111 thousand square meters. km, population - about 8 million people. The capital of the republic is Sofia. In 2007, Bulgaria joined the European Union.

To enter Bulgaria, citizens of Russia, Ukraine, and CIS countries need a national visa, a multiple-entry Schengen visa or a national visa of Cyprus, Romania and Croatia. Citizens of the EU and a number of other countries enjoy visa-free entry.

Vacation with children

People have been coming to Bulgaria with children for several decades, rightly considering the seaside resorts of this country to be a real children's health resort. The mild climate, favorable for the child’s body, is suitable for relaxing with the child and improving his health, and also eliminates the difficult period of acclimatization, which can so often be encountered in exotic countries.

A short flight and comfortable transfer to resorts guarantee a pleasant start to your vacation, especially if you are planning a trip with kids.

Any Bulgarian resort will offer a lot of accommodation options, ranging from modern hotels of various categories to apartments convenient for a holiday with an infant, or homely mini-hotels equipped with everything necessary for a carefree holiday.

And, of course, a holiday in Bulgaria means getting to know the national cuisine. Shopska salad from fresh vegetables, cold tarator soup, stuffed peppers, cabbage rolls made from grape leaves, healthy and thirst-quenching fermented milk drink ayran - all this can be safely included in the children's menu.

At the same time, many hotels use the all-inclusive system, relieving vacationers of the worry of organizing proper meals.

Low prices for food and accommodation compared to other countries are another good reason for many families who are counting on a budget but high-quality vacation.

And also Bulgaria for children - these are health camps on the seashore. If your student is ready for an independent holiday, he will be glad to have the opportunity to spend the summer with new friends.

When is the best time to go?

The most common purpose of a trip to Bulgaria is a beach holiday. And here, unlike traveling to hot countries, there is no need to rush. The beach season in the southern part of the Black Sea coast starts only at the end of May, in the northern part - a little later,

You will have to wait even longer for the start of the swimming season in Bulgaria: sea water warms up to a pleasant temperature only by the end of June.

The most favorable period for a holiday with a child at sea is the end of June, the first half of July and the beginning of September (although it does not change from year to year, and at the beginning of September it may already be cool). You can come to Bulgaria with a baby in May, before the summer heat begins.

July and August are the peak of the high season in Bulgaria, when the number of holidaymakers reaches its maximum. In September, the beaches slowly become empty, although if you are lucky with the weather, you will be able to bask in the mild sun and swim in the sea for another two or three weeks. Warm and dry autumn is also good for excursions. At this time you can visit Sofia or Plovdiv.

Well, winter is the time for skiing. Winter resorts welcome guests from mid-December to mid-April. It is better to come with a child from mid-January to the end of February, when the resorts are slightly less busy and the weather conditions are favorable for skiing.

Don't forget about the numerous festivals that take place in Bulgaria almost all year round. It is especially interesting to visit children’s creative festivals with a child: “Stars of Albena”, “Sun, Joy, Beauty”, “Sea Shell” and others. All of them take place in the summer at the most popular resorts.

It is advisable to think about the best time to go to Bulgaria at least six months before the trip. Accommodation at popular resorts is booked in advance, and in the run-up to the season, only the least comfortable rooms or apartments may remain available.

Weather and climate

It is impossible to generalize the weather of different Bulgarian resorts, and there is no need: for those who dream of the sea, information about the climate of seaside resorts will be useful. For those who are planning to devote their holidays in Bulgaria to skiing, information about winter weather conditions in Bansko or Borovets is more important.

In general, the climate of Bulgaria is characterized as temperate continental, but on the southern coast it has Mediterranean features. The season opens at the end of May - beginning of June when the air temperature rises to +21-25°C. During this period it sometimes rains, although the weather remains mostly clear.

The end of June and the beginning of July is the time for the best holiday in Bulgaria with children. It’s not too hot yet, the water in the sea has warmed up enough, and the number of tourists is still moderate.

In July-August the air warms up to +27-28°C, and sometimes up to +30°C. Despite the generous sun, even in the hottest months the stuffiness is not felt thanks to the light breeze from the sea. It is important to take into account that with the onset of evening it gets noticeably colder on the seashore. On summer nights the air temperature drops to +16-18°C.

September weather at the resorts of the northern part of the coast is unpredictable, although often the beginning of autumn is still quite suitable for a beach holiday. But in the southern resorts, where the temperature stays at +25°C, you can sunbathe and swim for another month.

At the end of September, the holiday season in Bulgaria comes to an end, but warm and dry October is a good time for excursions. When the thermometer is +19°C and the sun is shining in the sky, it is very pleasant to wander the streets of old cities or go for a walk in the mountains.

From November to March there is a lull in Bulgaria - but not at the ski resorts. In December, temperatures drop below zero and snowfalls begin in the mountains.

By the middle of the month, the first ski lovers are already hitting the slopes. The average temperature in the winter months is -5°C, and there are almost no severe frosts. Until the end of March, excellent skiing conditions remain on the mountain slopes.

April in Bulgaria is already a truly spring month, with changeable weather and the first warmth. By the beginning of May, the temperature in seaside resorts reaches +20°C: a new tourist season is approaching.

Sea water temperature

A wide strip of sand, even rows of sun loungers, a clear sea and just a few swimmers taking a quick dip and hurrying to the shore - this is a typical landscape of Bulgarian beaches at the beginning of summer.

You can already sunbathe, but the sea temperature is not suitable for swimming: at +20°C, not everyone dares to enter the water.

But by the end of June the water temperature in Bulgaria rises to +23-24°C. Even kids can swim in such water, especially since near the shore, where the sea is shallow, the water warms up to +25-26°C.

Such comfortable conditions for swimming will remain until the very end of summer. And in September the sea will still be quite warm: the water temperature by the end of the month will not fall below +22°C.

The main difference between the coastal regions is the water temperature (within 2-3 degrees) due to the peculiarities of the currents and the presence of mountains in the northern part, and therefore the duration of the swimming season.

If you can still swim on the southern coast in September, then on the northern coast the water may already be cool at this time.

Nutrition

A characteristic feature of some resorts in Bulgaria is the widespread use of the all-inclusive system. This is very convenient if you are going to relax in isolated resort complexes, where there is a relatively small selection of shops and restaurants.

If you are wondering which resort in Bulgaria to choose so as not to worry about the nutrition of all family members, pay attention to Albena, Golden Sands, Elenite, Duni. Many hotels in these resorts offer all-inclusive meals, as well as special children's menus, including diet ones.

In resort towns (Nessebar, Sozopol), the all-inclusive system is practically not used. Hotels often offer breakfast, and you can have lunch and dinner in restaurants. Many Bulgarian dishes are suitable for baby food.

If you are planning an independent holiday in Bulgaria with children and are going to stay in an apartment in order to prepare the children’s usual food, inquire about the availability of good shops and markets at the resort.

You can easily buy the necessary products in Nessebar, Sunny Beach, Sozopol. From St. Constantine and Helena it is convenient to go shopping to Varna.

Children's camps

A good way to find out which resorts in Bulgaria are suitable for families with children is to find out if these resorts have summer camps for schoolchildren. There are no unexpected discoveries here: children's health camps operate in both the northern and southern parts of the Bulgarian coast.

Near Albena there is a large international camp "Brigantina", and not far from Sozopol there is an international children's center "Primorsko". Golden Sands and Sunny Beach can boast good conditions for independent recreation for children.

Treatment

While studying information about the resorts of the Bulgarian Black Sea region, you have probably come across references to balneotherapeutic centers. Indeed, in Bulgaria, sources of valuable mineral waters have been discovered, indicated in the treatment of various diseases.

You can improve your health at the medical center of Albena, Kranevo, St. Constantine and Helena, Pomorie. There is a children's playground between Varna and Burgas. Many balneotherapeutic centers are located in the western part of Bulgaria. The largest mineral resort is Velingrad.

Transport

The main type of public transport in Bulgaria used by tourists is buses. Most often, travelers travel by intercity buses, although some resorts can be reached by public transport: for example, from Varna to St. Constantine and Helena you can take a city bus.

Transport in Bulgaria follows a clear schedule, which can be found on the resorts' websites. On popular routes, buses run quite often, every 15-40 minutes. On less popular routes, buses run several times a day.

The cost of tickets depends on the distance of the trip and starts from 1 leva for travel on city buses. Children under 7 years of age enjoy free travel, but this requires a special transport card. Tickets are sold on buses, and conductors do not always require children to buy tickets.

Trains are also convenient for getting around Bulgaria, especially if you are planning a long trip - say, from Sofia to Burgas. Recently, the option to purchase electronic tickets has appeared on the Bulgarian Railways website.

Despite well-developed transport links, sometimes a taxi is the only way to get to your holiday destination. This applies mainly to isolated resorts, for example, Duni or Borovets.

Resort Rusalka- the northernmost resort in Bulgaria, located 80 km from Varna, 50 km from Albena and 15 km from Cape Kaliakra, and was built on the initiative of the French company Club Med. The mermaid is located in one of the most beautiful places - the Tauk Liman nature reserve (from the Turkish word “bird bay”), where many species of rare birds nest, and dolphins are often found on the coast.

Until recently, Rusalka was a prestigious closed club type resort, where you could stay in one of more than 600 small villas (which operate on an all inclusive system). A relaxing seaside holiday in villas was valued here. But there are difficulties with the infrastructure: it’s inconvenient to get there by public transport, there are no good shops and supermarkets, and prices in local restaurants are high. In recent years, children's camps have also been organized at the Rusalka resort, so this resort is no longer suitable for a quiet and relaxing holiday.

Rusalka is also rich in historical monuments - archaeological finds with a thousand-year history are stored here. The most famous attraction is the Yaylata complex (includes 40 caves). According to archaeologists, this is the site of ancient tribes.

The resort of Kavarna is a cozy port city, which is located on the Black Sea coast, 64 km from Varna. You can get to Kavarna from Varna, where many planes fly, both regular and charter. There is also a ferry from Odessa.

Resort Kavarna– these are beautiful sandy beaches and quiet bays with relatively few tourists. The city wonderfully combines the pastoral landscape of one- and two-story houses with beautiful courtyards and the style of new architecture, quiet narrow streets with wide boulevards, traces of the past with symbols of the modern world. The resort of Kavarna is one of the fastest growing seaside resorts in Bulgaria. In the last few years, the city has hosted many musical events, especially by famous Bulgarian and foreign rock musicians. Kavarna is one of the favorite summer holiday destinations for both Bulgarian and foreign tourists.

16 km northeast of Kavarna is the historical Cape Kaliakra.

Topola resort, Bulgaria

Topola is ideal for lovers of long walks in nature.

The village itself is quite small, but nearby is a large gated resort complex “Topola Skies” with comfortable apartments, restaurants, tennis courts, swimming pools and playgrounds. In addition, the Topola resort has long been considered one of the main Bulgarian centers for golf tourism, because in its vicinity there are three 18-hole golf courses equipped to international standards.

On the territory of the resort there is a medical center "Medica-Topola", which successfully uses hypothermal water, rich in sodium and magnesium ions, in the treatment of diseases of the respiratory system, skin, musculoskeletal system and nervous system. In addition to wellness treatments, the clinic provides services for relaxation and improvement of appearance: resort guests have at their disposal a modern beauty complex, a massage room, steam rooms, saunas and a fitness center.

When viewed from the sea, the city captivates with its whiteness and amphitheater structure. There are no crowds of tourists in Balchik; local residents live their quiet lives.

The amazing beauty of these places was appreciated by the Romanian Queen Maria. By her decree, her summer residence was built in Balchik in 1930. The miniature palace is located in a luxurious park leading down to the sea. Nowadays the park has been turned into a botanical garden (it contains more than 3,000 plant species), which displays the world's second largest collection of cacti. The park with the Botanical Garden is recognized as a national treasure of Bulgaria. The resort of Balchik was founded a long time ago - more than two and a half thousand years ago, but even today it attracts thousands of tourists from around the world. Balchik is widely known for its archaeological sites dating back to antiquity, as well as the highest quality of the local grape varieties grown there. Inexpensive prices for accommodation and food make this resort attractive for a budget holiday.

Albena resort, Bulgaria

The Albena resort is located in a picturesque bay of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, 36 km north of Varna and 15 km from Golden Sands. The Albena beach strip is 5 km long and 150 meters wide. The Albena resort was built exclusively for tourism purposes in 1969.

Albena- is considered the most children's resort and one of the most modern resorts on the Bulgarian coast. Sandy beaches, entertainment, and the healing microclimate of the nature reserve are perfect for families with children. You can relax comfortably on the wide beach even in high season.

The largest, modern balneological center in Bulgaria is located in Albena, in the Dobrudzha Hotel.

Resort Kranevo, Bulgaria

Resort Kranevo located on the northern coast of the Black Sea, in a picturesque location surrounded by green hills and forests, 25 km north of Varna, between Albena and Golden Sands.

The seabed is flat, without dangerous currents or depths, completely safe even for small children.

Resorts of Bulgaria: Golden Sands Resort

The Golden Sands resort complex was opened in 1943, but the main expansion took place in 1981 and is still being constantly updated. Golden Sands Resort located 18 km from the city of Varna, in the north it borders with the village of Kranevo, and in the south with the “Chaika” dacha area and goes into the resort of St. Constantine and Elena. This is one of the largest resort complexes on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, which got its name due to the beautiful strip of beach with fine golden sand, stretching for almost 4 km and 100 meters wide. The resort is located on the territory of the Golden Sands national park of the same name. The resort area is considered a protected area, as unique plant species grow here and many animals live. The resort was awarded the international Blue Flag award for the created environmental conditions on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.

The resort has a network of balneological hotels built on the basis of hot mineral sulfur water. One of the most famous balneological centers of Golden Sands is the Ambassador Hotel, open all year round, with an outdoor swimming pool and a huge number of medical services.

The Aquapolis water park was recently built - one of the most impressive parks of its kind in Eastern Europe. Built on an area of 40 thousand sq.m. in the northwestern part of the Zlatni Pyasytsi resort, in a Moorish-Mediterranean style, it faces the sea and the entire resort, and its capacity reaches 3,000 people. The opening hours of water facilities in May and September are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and in June, July and August from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Resorts in Bulgaria: Resort St. Constantine and Helena

Resort Saint Constantine and Helena- the oldest seaside resort in Bulgaria, located on the territory of a luxurious park just a few kilometers from Varna. The resort got its name thanks to the monastery of St. Constantine and Helena, which was located in ancient times on this territory, and in 1897 the Varna City Hall began construction here. The resort of St. Constantine and Helena is one of the very first in Bulgaria. Mostly rich townspeople of Varna vacationed here, who either had rooms at the monastery or dachas on the territory of the resort. In 1908, the first holiday home was built here, which was loved mainly by Czechs, Poles and Germans.

It is best suited for a calm, measured holiday. Here, 2-3* hotels prevail, built among a huge century-old park with rare trees and healing thermal mineral springs (water temperature +38..+46°C), creating a special microclimate and saturating the air with negative ions.

The resort has an extended beach strip with a pier, a disco, swimming pools with sea and mineral water and a water slide. Only at the resort of St. Constantine and Helena the sandy beaches are not the ordinary sand that we are accustomed to, but small pieces of crushed quartz, which, when illuminated by the sun, shines incredibly beautifully. However, quartz sand is not only of extraordinary beauty, but also of great health benefits. Perhaps this is why many people prefer to walk along the sea coast barefoot, and during the day not everyone uses a sun lounger, enjoying the warmth of quartz. A balneological treatment center operates on the basis of a local hydrogen sulfide spring.

The resort of St. Constantine and Helena is a natural park with cypress and fig trees in a wooded area, a relief seashore, small quiet bays, peace and tranquility, healing mineral springs, a magical combination of sea breeze at an altitude of 25 m above sea level with forest coolness and the aroma of centuries-old trees.

Resorts of Bulgaria: Sunny Day Resort

Resort Sunny Day is located just 10 km from Varna (16 km from the airport), adjacent to the resort of St. Constantine and Helena, 8 km to the Golden Sands resort with its clubs, discos, bars, restaurants and shops. This is a small oasis of relaxation, on the territory of which there are only 4 hotels: “Palace” 5*, “Marina” 4*, “Mirage” 4* and “Veronica” 3*. All hotels are located on the seashore, on line 1.

The Sunny Day resort is located among a beautiful natural park, in a quiet, secluded bay with crystal clear sea. The beach is 1 km long, 20 to 80 meters wide, covered with fine white quartz sand. The holiday season at the resort lasts from May to October. Summer air temperatures average 28-30 C, water +26-27 C. Sunny Day Beach has been awarded the Blue Flag for cleanliness and environmental friendliness.

The Marina and Palace hotels have 2 large balneological centers that offer more than 100 different medical services, as well as SPA and relaxation procedures.

Currently, Varna and its surroundings are considered a popular holiday destination, attracting tens of thousands of tourists from different parts of the world.

Many international programs are held in Varna: the international music festival “Varna Summer”, the film festival “Love is Madness”, the film festival “Golden Rose”, etc.

Varna is the pearl of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Covered in white soft sand and separated by a long Seaside Park, Varna's magnificent beaches stretch 8 kilometers east of the city. The coast of Varna is ideal for a safe holiday with children, since the sea here is surprisingly calm, without dangerous tides.

The Shkorpilovtsi resort is becoming increasingly popular. The village is named after the famous Black Sea explorers, the Czech Shkorpil brothers. This is a small village 40 km from Varna and 7 km from Obzor.

The beach in Shkorpilovtsi stretches along the Black Sea coast for 13 km, in some places its latitude reaches 100 m, these factors turn it into the longest and most spacious beach on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria. There are no big luxury hotels and establishments or noisy clubs here. Instead, tourists stay in small resort complexes or use the facilities of extensive campsites. The wide strip of sand is not completely covered with umbrellas. There is no resort bustle, no developed infrastructure, the beach is practically wild. A quiet place away from civilization and city noise.

Resort Byala, Bulgaria

Resort Byala– the small resort town of Byala is located on the border of Varna and Burgas regions, 60 km from Varna and 80 km north of Burgas. This is one of the most beautiful places on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. The area is known for its wide beaches with delicate golden sand, bordered by dense forests, clear sea water and clean air, as in this place the Stara Planina ridge descends to the sea.

The resort owes its name “Byala” to the white rocks that frame the city and represent a geological “exhibit” through which one can trace the periods of development of the earth’s crust over several thousand years.

The entry into the sea is quite flat, about 10 meters from the shore the depth does not reach more than 70 cm, and then gradually becomes deeper - up to 2-2.5 meters at a distance of 200 meters from the shore. There are rescue services on the beaches, and the cleanliness of the beach is monitored by the municipal service.

Obzor Resort, Bulgaria

Resort Obzor is a small resort village on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, located between the cities of Burgas and Varna on the shores of the picturesque Black Sea Bay. It is no coincidence that 2000 years ago the old Greeks called the village they founded here “Gemionolem” - i.e. Sunny city.

Along with Kranevo, this place is very suitable for an undemanding and, most importantly, inexpensive holiday. The unique natural and climatic conditions of the village guarantee you relaxation in an ecologically clean place on the border of mountains and sea, forest and azure waves. The Obzor resort is a great place for children and youth recreation, because it is no coincidence that there are so many children’s and youth camps here.

Obzor is popular among the Bulgarians themselves for its low prices and the opportunity to relax at sea - they can “hang out” at home.

August. Family with children

Bulgaria

We went to Bulgaria on vacation last summer with two school-age children. We were pleased with our vacation and did not regret choosing the Golden Sands resort. The resort itself is located in a mountainous area, there are a lot of coniferous and deciduous trees everywhere, a lot of shade, which is why the heat is tolerated very easily, and even in combination with the sea breeze, we did not feel any acclimatization at all. The beach itself is sandy, smooth, and has even been awarded the Blue Flag. The beach offered all kinds of water activities: bananas, parachute jumping, boat rides. I advise you to choose a hotel with children on the first or second beach line, since climbing the mountain is not an easy task for kids. We ate in the cafe; there are many different establishments here with very attractive prices and large portions. Many cafes have menus adapted to our stomachs: borscht, porridge and even dumplings. Ice cream, dairy products, sweets and juices were bought in stores.

August. Family with children

Bulgaria

I consider holidays in Bulgaria inexpensive and very suitable for families, especially with small children. We vacationed there at the end of August with our three-year-old daughter. Acclimatization was not noticeable for us at all, and during the day it was quite hot, and in the evenings sometimes we even wore sweaters.
Cocoa Beach is simply gorgeous: a wide strip of sand, convenient entrance to the sea. The sea is warm, clean, we have never seen any algae or jellyfish. Sometimes we laid out towels and sunbathed, a couple of times we rented sun loungers, and once we rented a tent.
There is more than enough entertainment on Sunny Beach: children's playgrounds, inflatable trampolines, there are two water parks. We visited Action Aquapark just super, you will have the opportunity, be sure to ride the slides, there are plenty for adults and children. We rode a tourist train around the resort, also on a horse-drawn carriage. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes everywhere, dishes for every taste, and the prices are not bad, in general I recommend it.

July. Family with children

Bulgaria

The whole family vacationed in Bulgaria in July: two adults and two children, three and eight years old. The main purpose of the holiday was to improve the health of the children, since they often get sick, so they chose the resort of Saints Constantine and Helena. The fact is that the resort itself is located in the middle of a huge, picturesque park, which creates a special microclimate. By the way, the resort has thermal mineral springs, one of which was located next to the beach, we swam in it every day, the children liked it. The beach, by the way, is excellent, wide and sandy. The sea is warm, and because of the shallow water it warms up in no time. Lifeguards are constantly on duty on the beach. There were inflatable trampolines, swings, and slides within a five-minute walk; it was impossible to get the children out of there. We went to see the monastery of Constantine and Helena. There is a bazaar in the center of the resort. The prices in cafes and restaurants are reasonable, the menu is varied, there are soups and cereals. The local cuisine is very tasty and filling, rich in vegetables and cheeses. We had a wonderful holiday.
