I want to change the “picture”, but in Suzdal and Sergiev Posad you have already explored every lane? We have prepared for you a list of nine places in the vicinity of Moscow - you can easily go there in search of new experiences. And most importantly, one day will be enough for this.

"Ethnomir"

The cost of a ticket to the park on weekends is from 500 rubles.

The largest ethnographic museum in Russia, “Ethnomir,” is spread over an area of 140 hectares (it is 120 kilometers from Moscow). You can make a “round-the-world trip” in just one day, without even getting on a plane or train - “Ethnomir” presents the architecture, national cuisine, crafts and customs of almost all peoples of the world. See more than ten varieties of Russian samovars, try the Ebru technique of drawing on water, look at Chinese mosaics and Japanese bamboo panels, visit the national huts of Laos, Indonesia and the Philippines, walk around the Mayan pyramid, admire the work of Flemish artists - all this awaits you in numerous corners of the park. At the same time, “Ethnomir” is not just a museum of the culture of the peoples of the world, no, it is a real amusement park, where you should definitely go with your children. They will prepare real bread in the bakery workshop, exciting quests will take place in the Evolution Dinosaur Park, and straw, clay, rag, and wooden dolls will be examined in the museum of world dolls. Young animal lovers will be interested in visiting the petting zoo with tarantula spiders, visiting the bird house and the famous husky nursery.

V. D. Polenov Museum-Reserve

Ticket price is 250 rubles.

If you want to plunge into the traditions and comfort of a Russian estate, welcome to the memorial museum-reserve of the artist Vasily Polenov. Having settled on the banks of the Oka, Polenov built two schools in the surrounding villages (he devoted a lot of time to the problem of public education). In the 20s of the last century, he created a diorama - a musical trip around the world in pictures. This was his last major work - it consisted of 65 paintings telling about geography, history and ethics. In addition to viewing the diorama, today in his museum you can take part in various master classes for children - in pottery, appliqué and painting.

Wild Squirrels Park

Ticket price is 1,300 rubles.

In the Chekhov district of the Moscow region there is a children's educational agrotourism park “Wild Squirrels”. It includes two large amusement parks and a farm with Alpine goats (which, by the way, can be milked). The first park is two hectares of rope structures and inflatable attractions. There's also a bumper ball, an archery area, and a petting area where you can feed baby goats milk. The second park has all kinds of labyrinths, water attractions and all-season tubing slides. The peculiarity of the entertainment is that children can complete all the tasks on their own, and parents have a choice - to relax with a glass of freshly squeezed juice or to have fun too. The park area is truly huge, so come early in the morning to have time to try everything.

Tula

If you are already fresh and full of energy early on Saturday morning, go to Tula for the whole day (the journey one way will take about three to four hours). Only the lazy don’t know that Tula is a city of gunsmiths, as well as the capital of samovars and gingerbread, but that’s not all. It was in Tula that the first city power plant was built - it was put into operation in 1901, at the same time the first lines of street lighting with arc lamps were built and electricity was supplied to the houses of the richest residents of the city. If you walk around the territory of the Tula Kremlin, do not miss the power plant building. Well, of course, you also need to visit gingerbread and samovars - where else will you see a five-kilogram gingerbread that needs to be washed down from a tiny samovar? And in the weapons museum you can not only look at 14,000 different types of artillery, throwing, hunting and automatic weapons, but also shoot from them. You will relieve stress and win a teddy bear.

Ecofarm

If, after a hard week at the office, your soul craves reconnection with nature, it’s time to go to an eco-farm. This type of vacation is becoming more and more popular; in the vicinity of Moscow there are several farms at once - you can come there for the day, or if you want to stay overnight (there are options for every budget). Farms “Potapovo”, “Bogdarnya”, “Konovalovo”, “Vankovo”, farmstead “Lukino”, farm of Dmitry Klimov and Andrey Ovchinnikov - you just have to choose a direction and location that is convenient for you. All farms are essentially similar to each other - they are sure to feed you farm products, introduce you to local chickens, goats, piglets and calves, offer horseback riding or take part in the process of making cheese. Somewhere you can play horse polo and relax by the pool, in another place you will find a Russian sauna on wood and pies from the stove, in a third you will be taught how to milk cows or smoke guinea fowl, and after the master class they will even give you a couple to take home (guinea fowl, not cows). By the way, you can agree with some farms on regular delivery of farm products to your home.

Little Italy farm near Tver

Continuation of the farm theme, but with an Italian accent. Near Tver (200 kilometers from Moscow) is located the agricultural farm of Pietro Mazza, an Italian who created the most authentic Italian farm, La Fattoria Little Italy. Mazza is a hereditary cheese maker; he moved to Russia, as usual, out of great love and now shares this love and, at the same time, traditional Italian cheeses with the guests of the farm. Mozzarella, ricotta, burata, pecorino according to Calabrian recipes, as well as the most valuable cheese from the product line - grana mazza, which is prepared here according to an ancient recipe 450 years ago. You can try it, you can take it with you, and you can also learn how to cook cheese in a copper vat according to family Mazza recipes at the cheese festival. And of course, here you can meet all the “local residents” - purebred cows, sheep, goats, horses, quails and ostriches. The latter are not yet involved in the direct production of the farm, but who knows what will happen tomorrow.

Cosmonaut Training Center

The cost of the excursion is from 500 rubles.

You can get closer to your cherished childhood dream in “Star City”. In Soviet times, the town was classified, isolated from the outside world and was not even listed on the map, but today everything has changed - now it’s easy to come there on an excursion to the Cosmonaut Training Center. You will be able to meet real cosmonauts, learn about the selection process, try on the Falcon spacesuit (and of course, take a few photos for Instagram), taste space nutrition, climb into an 18-meter centrifuge that simulates overloads during flight, feel weightlessness in the hydro laboratory and examine models of real space rockets. In general, if you wanted to feel like a real astronaut, now you have such an opportunity.

How about a weekend abroad? We have compiled for you the TOP 10 countries to which you can go without first obtaining a visa.

The number of countries where you can travel without first obtaining a visa is slowly but surely increasing. Why not take one of them on an express tour this coming weekend? WomanJournal.ru has prepared the TOP 10 visa-free countries for Russia.

Visa-free country Montenegro

Entry into the territory of this country without a visa is possible only for tourism purposes and for a period of no more than 30 days. A tourist voucher is issued at the border. Travel time when departing from Moscow will be 2 hours 50 minutes.

This visa-free country is unique in its own way, as it provides the opportunity for a decent holiday for different categories of tourists. For lovers of extreme sports, there are many options for active leisure activities: rafting, diving, rock climbing, hiking. If you prefer passive relaxation on the shore, 73 kilometers of beaches are at your disposal.

You can also devote a weekend to studying the history of Montenegro. On the territory of this visa-free country, many ancient fortresses, monasteries and ancient cities have been preserved.

Many tourists fall in love with Montenegro after their first trip and devote a lot of free time to it. Moreover, there is something to see in such resort towns as Budva, Sveti Stefan, Petrovac, Becici, Rafailovici, Herceg Novi, Igalo, Milocer, Ulcinj, Kotor, Perast and Risan.

Visa-free country Serbia

Three hours of flight - and you are in Serbia. For Russians, entry into this country is visa-free for a period of 30 days.

Serbia is recommended for those who prefer an ecological holiday. Serbs are very proud of the nature of their country and preserve it in every possible way. There are more than 30 lakes, five nature reserves, and mud resorts.

Serbia is a country of ancient culture, medieval monasteries and castles. Here you can see the capital of the country Belgrade, visit the thermal resorts: Vrnjacka Banja, Banja Koviljaca, Zlatibor, Buyanovacka Banja, Soko Banja, Niska Banja, and go up to the ski resorts. If you visit the Jahorina ski resort, you will see the site of the 1984 Winter Olympics.

Visa-free country Croatia

To enter Croatia you will not need a visa if you do not plan to visit other countries during your stay in this country. In the period from May 1 to October 31, you can come on vacation even without a travel voucher or letter of guarantee.

For a beach lover, the best conditions are, of course, in the summer at a comfortable temperature of 25–29 degrees Celsius. Here you can relax on the sandy, pebble and stone beaches of the Adriatic coast. Yachting is well developed.

If the goal of an express tour is a walk in the mountains, then you will not be disappointed, as they are of stunning beauty in Croatia.

And you can splash around in the mud baths to your heart's content. Croatia is one of the popular balneological resorts.

This visa-free country has a very regular way of life. Croats are friendly but slow. This is probably the reason why you won’t find exclusively youth hotels here. Almost all of them are quiet and calm. If you are looking for a little peace and harmony with nature, a three-hour flight and you are already in Croatia.

Visa-free country Türkiye

A little more than two hours of flight when departing from Moscow - and you are in Turkey. You can enter this country without a visa; it is issued at any customs point. The validity of the foreign passport must be more than three months from the end of the trip.

If you are attracted by sea holidays, choose any of the four seas - Black, Aegean, Mediterranean or Marmara.

In Turkey it is worth visiting: Erciyes, where snow slopes operate from November to April, the capital of this visa-free country, Istanbul, the resort of Side, where you can not only relax on numerous beaches, but also see the relics of ancient history, Kemer with its beautiful landscapes, beaches and bays , the “capital” of tennis and golf Belek, Antalya is a tropical paradise with plantations of bananas, cotton and citrus fruits.

Visa-free country Russia (Sochi)

Of course, if we are talking about traveling without a visa, then the main visa-free country for us, of course, remains our home country - Russia. Holidays here can be found to suit every taste, in particular in the sensational Sochi.

The capital of the future Winter Olympics is a worthy place for a weekend getaway. During an express tour to Sochi, you can gain strength for the coming week, soak up the rays of the warm sun, which is always in abundance here, or simply take a walk between the palm trees.

If a quiet weekend is not your thing, go to Krasnaya Polyana. The ski season in Sochi begins in November and lasts until March. Thanks to the construction of Olympic facilities, modern ski lifts and well-prepared trails will be at your service.

Sochi is also famous for its winemaking. Even if you don’t know much about wines, you can taste some interesting samples. Don’t forget to take your favorite one home so that over a glass of wine you can remember how nice it was on the Black Sea coast.

The journey to Sochi by air will take you just over two hours, including departure from Moscow.

Visa-free country Ukraine (Yalta)

Why not go to the “heart” of Crimea - Yalta for the weekend?! In summer, this city bustles with the busiest tourist life. In winter he is calm and seems to fall asleep. But even in the off-season, Yalta is interesting, since this Ukrainian city is famous for its combination of architectural monuments inscribed in the mountainous terrain. There are many ancient buildings, museums, parks and squares.

A trip to Yalta is recommended not only for lovers of architecture, but also for everyone who misses the warm sun. This is especially true now. The sun shines there approximately 2,250 hours a year. This is the same as in the famous Nice, Cannes and San Remo.

Yalta is also famous for its winemaking. Crimean grape varieties are surprisingly fragrant due to the generous sun. Yalta residents are proud of their wines and recommend that city guests taste them.

The pride of the city is the embankment, which you should definitely take a stroll along.

If you go to Yalta now, you can still catch the almond blossoms. At this time, the air is filled with a tart aroma.

To visit Yalta, you need to fly to Simferopol, and from there travel by car to the visa-free country of Ukraine.

Visa-free country Sri Lanka

You can also see all the beauties of Sri Lanka without first obtaining a visa. If the duration of the tourist trip does not exceed 30 days, a visa is issued upon arrival. To obtain it, you must have a passport valid for at least three months from the end of the trip, a migration card filled out in English, confirmation of a hotel reservation, funds for the duration of your stay in Sri Lanka, as well as a return ticket with a fixed departure date .

Despite the fact that Sri Lanka is just a small island in the Indian Ocean, it offers tourists a lot of interesting things: stunning beaches, excellent conditions for diving and surfing, numerous cultural and historical monuments, ancient ruins.

This visa-free country is a shopaholic's paradise. Prices here are low and the range is wide. You cannot go back, for example, without precious stones. In Sri Lanka, sapphires, amethysts, garnets and moonstone are mined.

It is also worth paying attention to local textiles, which in Sri Lanka are of good quality and at the same time very cheap.

To feel the flavor of Sri Lanka and understand that you want to come back here again, you have to spend nine hours on the road.

Israel

Holidays in Israel are different from visiting other countries. Here tourists not only spend their free time interestingly, but also come into contact with Christian history.

Thanks to the hot climate, myriad attractions and unique geography: snow-capped mountains, forests, desert and sea, every guest of this visa-free country for Russia has “their own” Israel.

Let's explain the news: why do passengers buy seats on the plane?

August 20, 2019

I was carrying a coconut: what will the new rules for the import of food and flowers change?

Stop whining that winter is coming and you haven’t done anything interesting. Before it gets painfully cold, jump on the last train and go on a mini-trip. There is no need to take a vacation; a lot of money is also unlikely to be useful. But there will be at least a ghostly hope that the summer was not in vain.

Below are 5 ideas for weekend trips from Moscow. Buildings forgotten by restorers, unique nature and insanely strange museums are at your complete disposal.

Tula

Tula is actually a treasure. The Tula region is even better. Here you can eat, drink, and drink, and it’s all beautiful to photograph.

Things to do

Day 1

  • The Tula Kremlin - in addition to its historical value, it also has walking value.
  • Samovar Museum. It is very close, and after visiting your flat jokes about “going to Tula with your own samovar” will reach a new level.
  • Gingerbread Museum. A tiny house where you will get delicious food.
  • Museum "Yasnaya Polyana" - the estate of Leo Tolstoy. A top place that you can’t live without visiting in Tula (otherwise everyone will think that you only need to eat, there’s no culture in the person).
  • Bonus for fans of the writer: not far from Yasnaya Polyana there is an old railway station “Kozlova Zaseka”, from where Tolstoy set off on his last journey. Now there is a museum where they rent 19th century costumes for 100 rubles.

Day 2

  • Konduki, or Romantsevskie Mountains, is an abandoned quarry in the region and the most popular photo spot in the vicinity of Moscow. The easiest way to get there, of course, is by car, but if there is neither one nor fellow travelers, there are buses. True, with a transfer: from Tula to Bogoroditsk, and from there to Konduki. In principle, by the time you get there, and then groan from the beauty and look for the least crowded place for photos, the day will already have passed. And it's definitely worth it.
  • Desperate travelers who need to squeeze a week’s worth of impressions into two days can take a walk around Bogoroditsk itself in front of the Romantsevskie Mountains. There you need to look into the estate of Count Bobrinsky, in the best traditions, with interiors, very expensive furniture and all that.

Pereslavl-Zalessky

One of the few cities where it really makes sense to come for two days and not run away to any neighboring villages and environs. A terrible relaxation sets in near the water, and you can always turn somewhere and stumble upon beautiful window frames or a boat that looks a hundred times older than the local landmark - the boat of Peter I. And there is also extreme sports here.

Things to do

Day 1

  • A forced march along Lake Pleshcheevo - so gigantic that with enough imagination it will replace the sea for you if you didn’t get to it again this year.
  • Iron Museum. And give me at least one reason why not.
  • Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral of the 12th century.
  • Forty Saints Church.
  • Nikolsky Monastery.
  • Blue stone. On the shore of the lake lies a huge boulder, which, according to the information sign, was brought all the way from the Scandinavian mountains. He was worshiped in ancient times, and today the pilgrimage is also very popular.

Day 2

  • Steam Locomotive Museum. Located on the opposite side of the lake from the Blue Stone.
  • Boat of Peter I. A museum about the flotilla of the most fashionable of our kings. There is an entire estate, a ballroom, an art gallery and the status of the oldest provincial museum in the country (oh how).
  • Dormition Goritsky Monastery.
  • Berendey's house. Fairytale tower with excursion. Independent travelers are respected here, they promise to seat them not just somewhere, but on the royal throne. There is also a dress-up game for photos.
  • Dendrological garden. Of course, with the main garden plant of central Russia - the hut on chicken legs.
  • Extreme sports enthusiasts should definitely do something special here, for example, fly on a motorized paraglider. Or go kitesurfing. Lake Pleshcheyevo is a mecca for lovers of such things.

Uglich and Myshkin

Each of these cities is interesting in its own way, but it’s not worth trying to fit them into one day, or spending two tourist days in each of them. So geography itself suggested an ingenious weekend route.

Things to do

Day 1: Uglich

  • Chambers of the Uglich princes. Take photos and look at museum exhibits.
  • The Church of Tsarevich Dmitry on the Blood is the place where the son of Ivan the Terrible accidentally ran into a knife, after which the Time of Troubles began in the country.
  • Epiphany Cathedral.
  • Museum of Prison Art. The best location of all that we offer you here.
  • Uglich hydroelectric power station - for those in love with industrial wonders.
  • Fire Tower. Also a landmark.

Day 2: Myshkin

  • Museum of the Mouse - there you will find out whether mice really “creep”.
  • Palace of the Mouse.
  • Museum of Local Lore. There are many different exhibitions here, but, in my humble personal opinion, the most interesting is the one with church figures. It seems that they are Catholic, and there is clearly no place for them in a wooden hut somewhere in the Yaroslavl region.
  • Museum of old technology. Even two. The second is officially called the Club-Museum of Retro Equipment “Crew”.
  • Museum of Wooden Architecture. So big (for a tiny town) that you can look at the local houses almost endlessly.
  • Monument to Lenin on Uglichskaya Street. It would seem that there is no such good thing, but in Myshkin it’s a very good place - right opposite the temple.
  • Myshkin is wonderful for walking. If you want to look at some half-abandoned buildings, he has them. Perhaps this is one of the cutest small towns in Russia.

Sergiev Posad

Pilgrims come here from all over the world, and this is the only city in the Moscow region (and not in another region) that is included in the Golden Ring of Russia. In a small area there are many shrines, historical artifacts and somehow especially beautiful trees.

Things to do

Day 1

  • The Holy Trinity Lavra of Sergius is a must-see, regardless of your religion. Architecture is architecture everywhere, and here it will impress even the most callous person on the planet.
  • The Gethsemane Chernigov monastery is a more modest place, but also famous, you should go.
  • The Sergiev Posad Historical and Art Museum-Reserve is simply the Hermitage at minimum wage. There is almost everything here that is at least a little connected with history.
  • The Bells of Rus' Museum is tiny, but worthwhile in the context of domestic tourism. If only because the bells here will be completely different from those you thought about.

Day 2

  • Abramtsevo Estate - a full day activity. Many artists were inspired by the local views - Repin, Vasnetsov, Vrubel, Serov, Korovin. There are many houses, exhibition pavilions and other buildings on the territory of Abramtsevo. There are rumors that if you go around them all, the hidden talent of Instagram will be revealed.

Tver

In addition to a completely traditional range of provincial entertainment, there is a lot of useful street art here. This is explained by the convenient location between Moscow and St. Petersburg. You can go crazy over gastronomy - more precisely, over the local beer “Afanasy Nikitin”.

Things to do

Day 1

  • The Imperial Travel Palace is today an art gallery.
  • Walking around the city in search of the best graffiti.
  • River Station building.
  • The Zvezda Cinema is one of the strangest constructivist buildings in the city in the shape of binoculars. If you go to watch a movie, don’t be surprised: instead of boring halls No. 1 and No. 2, you will be enlightened in “Chaplin” or “Fellini”.
  • Stepan Razin embankment - for walks.
  • Experimentorium is for everyone who skipped chemistry at school, but regrets it a little. In addition to chemical shows, there are nitrogen shows, physics shows, Tesla shows, master classes on soap making and much more. Need to check the schedule website . Keep in mind that the museum is, in general, for children.
  • The Goat Museum is another museum you have to go to just because.

Day 2

  • If the weather permits, fly in a hot air balloon over the city! You need to book your flight in advance (at least a week in advance); they usually fly early in the morning or late in the evening. Be prepared that it won’t be cheap, but this is the main expense of the trip. The rest (truth) is a penny.
  • If you are unlucky or too poor, go learn the main Russian songs at the Mikhail Krug Museum. So that you won’t be ashamed to return to Moscow.

Bonus: A few more options for traveling for at least one day

  • “Vikhlyandiya”, aka Russian Disneyland in Kozelsk (Kaluga region).
  • Sumarokovskaya moose farm in the Kostroma region - here you can babysit real moose, and you won’t get anything for it.
  • Prioksko-Terrasny Nature Reserve with eco-trails and a bison nursery.
  • Yesenin's native village is Konstantinovo.
  • Nikola-Lenivets (if you are one of those who have not been there before).

A weekend trip is a short vacation that needs to be spent with maximum comfort. In this case, unnecessary movements will take away precious rest time. Residents of Moscow are lucky: the capital is connected by direct flights to almost anywhere in Russia and the world. Where can you fly from Moscow for a weekend so as not to get tired and get a dose of fresh impressions?

From Moscow to Russian regions

You can fly from Moscow for the weekend without having to collect documents to St. Petersburg. This is a classic destination with a short flight (a little over an hour), well known to almost all Muscovites. The city is connected to the capital by daily regular flights. Tickets are on sale from S7, Aeroflot, UTair, Nordwind.

Thanks to the abundance of attractions in St. Petersburg, you can create a route to cover the main historical and architectural monuments: Palace Square, Peter and Paul Fortress, the Savior on Spilled Blood, the Hermitage, St. Isaac's Cathedral. The second day you can visit a trip to the “Russian Versailles” - Peterhof, which is an important point of any tourist program.

Popular weekend destinations include Sochi, which has undergone a noticeable transformation since the Olympics. Now the Olympic Park has joined the list of its attractions. It is also worth visiting the famous Arboretum, Akhshtyrskaya Cave, and the Museum of History.

In summer, Sochi is traditionally chosen for affordable beach holidays, in winter - for the opportunity to ski on the modern slopes of Krasnaya Polyana. Getting to Sochi will not be difficult: the resort is connected to Moscow by flights of Red Wings, UTair, Vim Avia, Aeroflot and Pobeda. Travel time is only 2 hours.

Kaliningrad attracts Muscovites with its ancient majestic castles. You can fly to this city in about 2 hours. More than 10 flights a day from the capital are operated by UTair, S7, Ural Airlines, and Aeroflot. In addition to visiting ancient sights in Kaliningrad, it is worth visiting the shores of the Baltic Sea: Zelenogradsk, Svetlogorsk or the Curonian Spit.

From Moscow to other countries

There are many interesting mini-trip destinations in Europe. But many of them require transplants and additional costs. Residents of the capital often choose Prague - a convenient and accessible city for all categories of tourists. Sights in the Czech capital are at every turn. Most of it is concentrated in the Old Town, where the Charles Bridge, Old Town Square and Prague Castle are located.

Travel time to Prague is about 2.5 hours. Direct daily flights are offered by Czech Airlines and Aeroflot.

Autumn Prague.

Those who love a rich excursion program can go to ancient Dresden. This beautiful city, rich in historical attractions, offers luxurious palaces and castles (Zwinger, Moritzburg, Pillnitz), religious monuments (Cathedral, Frauenkirche) and beautiful natural places such as the Saxon Switzerland National Park. Travel time from Moscow to Dresden takes 2 hours (direct daily Aeroflot flights).

Athens, a city with a rich ancient heritage, cozy taverns and museums, guarantees warm weather all year round. A visit to the Parthenon, the Temple of Zeus, the Theater of Dionysus and picturesque Plaka can be combined with a vacation on the coast of nearby resorts. Travel time - 3.5 hours (daily flights of Aegean Airlines, S7, Ellinair, Aeroflot).

Aristocratic Vienna is a beautiful Austrian city, where, however, you will have to take more money for the weekend compared to Athens. Here you will find the exquisite Schönburn and Hofburg palaces, medieval castles, as well as inimitable Viennese cuisine and the famous Opera, which is impossible not to visit. The flight to Vienna with Aeroflot and Austrian Airlines will take 3 hours.

For flights from Moscow on weekends, it is worth taking advantage of special offers from airlines. When choosing a place for a two-day vacation, such offers can be an important factor - they are precisely aimed at such destinations.
