When is the best time to go to Dubai? When is the best time to vacation in the UAE? The best month to vacation in the emirates

For those who are equally ignorant or forgetful (like the author): when is the season for a holiday in the UAE? And is it worth going in the off-season?

We arrived in the Emirates in February. What I was very surprised by was the urge to change my T-shirt to a sweatshirt; it became cool in the evening. In theory, the UAE = heat (desert, proximity to Africa), but in practice it turned out that you can freeze there too. There is a small excuse for bewilderment: Dubai was the point of a 16-hour layover, and we were concerned about the weather forecast of another country.

However, unanswered questions constantly swirl in my head. Therefore, today we decided to figure out when is the best time to go on vacation to the UAE?

The full swimming season in the UAE begins in mid-autumn and lasts until winter. In the following months, “fully” is replaced by “partially”, but reappears in April and lasts until the summer.

Our mini-table will help you navigate and visually evaluate the season in the UAE by month:

January February March April May June July August September October november December
UAE

✓ It is clear that for most of the year you can safely go to the Emirates on vacation, but in the summer it’s better not to.

✓ Four months of the year are borderline: May and September - because they are on the border of the seasons, and January and February are the coldest months; not everyone is comfortable swimming at this time.

Services for finding cheap tours

The Emirates is a package country (as long as you do not fly somewhere on your own on Emirates or FlyDubai, with a transfer). And therefore the price of vouchers can be good - from 38,000 rubles for a week for two in the low season and from 55 thousand in the high season.

They monitor tours from all leading tour operators and conveniently display options in order from affordable to expensive. Find out what promotional codes apply.

Since writing this article, we have already visited the UAE 4 times: 1 time on our own and 3 times on a tour package. All three tours were purchased on aggregators. We know that the prices there are directly from the tour operator, and when you see a tour to a good hotel for 40-60 thousand for two from the region, you should take it immediately! :)

Still haven’t decided when is the best time to go to the Emirates? Then let's look at it in more detail.

Weather in the UAE (Dubai) by month

In the photo on the left is the famous Parus Hotel - we didn’t like the beach itself,
It's worth coming for the photo

Why is Dubai in the headline? Because it is the most popular of all the resorts in the UAE. Each of the emirates, of course, is unique in its own way, but the climate in them is similar. So we will study the local weather by month, taking the season in Dubai as an example.

UAE in December, January and February

December The weather indulges in temperatures of +27°C during the day. Northern winds begin to blow, but the water still warms up to +24°C, and the swimming season continues. December is the best time to visit the UAE with children in winter. The cost of a vacation is reasonable, from 35,000 rubles per week for two, only if you are not planning a vacation during the holidays. There are a lot of people wishing to celebrate the New Year in the UAE, which explains the “wild” prices.

We oh-so-want Dubai in December. Both in 2018 and 2019 we spent a week here before the New Year. The weather is wonderful - you can sunbathe without sunscreen, you can also swim, but at the beginning it’s cool. The city is decorated for the holidays, there are even Christmas markets. But the main thing is this: from mid-December until ≈ the 25th is a “dead” period for tour operators (all potential vacationers are busy preparing for the New Year). That’s why they are drastically reducing prices for travel packages, and it’s more than possible to fly for 20 thousand rubles per person!
At the end of the text we have inserted our video from our last trip, you can clearly see the weather in December :)

In January beach holidays fade into the background. This month is a good time for excursions and shopping. About the first thing: the air temperature does not rise above +23°C. At night it becomes noticeably chilly, only +18°C. Sea water is for the hardened (Russians, that is), +21°C. About the second: Dubai Shopping Festival lasts all January, and the discounts are real. For example, Zara Home in Dubai is cheaper on sale than in Russia. It would seem that tours should cost even less, but this is not so: the minimum amount is from 40,000 rubles for the same week. And then after the 10th, at the end of the holidays.

In February The weather is very similar to January; by March it gets warmer. The sea warms up to +23°C, and the first brave swimmers splash in the water. We went to Ras al-Khaimah in February, it was normal, we sunbathed and swam. By the way, the Persian Gulf, on the shore of which Dubai is located, is warming up more slowly. Reviews from tourists recommend resorts in the Gulf of Oman, for example, Fujairah, in February.

UAE in March, April and May

Al Mamzar Beach (Dubai) and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

In March real warmth is coming. The air temperature rises to +27°С, water – to +24°С. If you are deciding when to fly to the UAE with small children, we recommend March. Prices are slightly higher than in January-February, from 55,000 rubles for 7 days.

Those who find March not a hot enough month should arrange a trip in April . The average daytime temperature in spring is already +32°C and at night does not drop below +25°C. Water temperature – +26°С. Until the 10th, prices are at the March level, and after that they rise to 60,000 rubles.

UAE in June, July, August

In June The thermometer can reach as high as +40°C. The water is heated to +32°C and does not bring any pleasure. Only the most heat-resistant tourists continue the beach season. Sandstorms are common in the country; sand gets clogged up everywhere. I don’t want to talk about prices for tours, it’s obviously not worth it (but if you really need it, then from 60,000 rubles for two).

In July Even locals are trying to leave the country. During the day it’s +42°C, you can only exist where there is air conditioning. In August the heat continues - +43°С during the day, +33°С at night. Water temperature +34°C! Added to all this beauty is increased humidity.

UAE in September, October and November

La Mer Beach in Dubai - in our opinion, the best free beach

In September It’s still hot, the daytime air temperature reaches +38°C, and the night temperature +32°C. The water in the sea is heated to +32°C. Prices for tours this month are quite comparable to summer ones. A seven-day vacation for two will cost from 50,000 rubles.

In October the air becomes cooler by a few more degrees: during the day +33°C, at night +29°C. You can not only sit in the water all the time, but also go for walks. The tourist season is coming. Regarding “all inclusive”: for October 2020 you can find tours from 125,000 rubles for two for 7 days.

If you are going on a family vacation in the fall, but are still wondering which month is better to go on vacation, my advice to you is to choose October, and the first half of it. The mild climate is suitable for children, and the prices are not the highest for parents.

When is the best time to vacation in the UAE? Our experience

View from the observation deck from Burj Khalifa, it is better to buy tickets in advance
(details below) and Bin Rashid Boulevard (main pedestrian street)

Naturally, when it’s not too hot and not too expensive! This definition best suits us December(we explained why in the text above). October when the season just begins, and April when the season ends - also good, provided that you need a warm sea. They will share our “best month in the UAE” nomination.

What to see in the UAE?

Must visit the very, very best of all Arabian wonders:

  • Burj Khalifa in Dubai is the tallest skyscraper in the world with an observation deck (follow the link - our text about where it is more profitable to buy tickets)
  • Palm Jumeirah is a large artificial island built off the coast of Dubai (the walk is free)
  • Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi is recognized as the most beautiful mosque on our planet!
  • Ancient forts of Ras al-Khaimah
  • King Faisal Mosque in Sharjah

In the mosques on this list, as well as in the Jumeirah Mosque in Dubai, people of other faiths are admitted freely and free of charge (on Fridays - an exception, they are closed to tourists).

We can say that Dubai in the UAE is the only city that is good in any season. Even in summer temperatures of +40°C, there is a place to hide from the heat, and there is something to do at the same time (of course, if you are ready to spend your entire vacation miles away in air-conditioned shopping centers).

Our reviews

In addition to visiting the Sheikh Zayed Mosque
The jeep safari is definitely worth trying!

We never tire of repeating that the key to a good vacation is a thorough study of reviews. And for those who are too lazy to read a multi-book, I have combined all the important points into one small list:

  • They write on the Internet that the UAE is a Muslim country, and therefore one should adhere to certain rules in clothing, especially for women: for example, do not appear outside the hotel with an open neckline and exposed knees. All this is outdated information, in Dubai, girls-girls-women calmly walk around in leggings and tops, short shorts and dresses.
P.S. but here the choice is yours - whether to respect local traditions or prefer your own comfort.
  • The country has a dry law and alcohol is prohibited here. But an exception has been made for foreigners - you can drink in bars or restaurants (Sharjah is the strictest with this). In Dubai, alcohol is not sold in stores.
  • You should not go to the Emirates during the holy month of Ramadan - there are many restrictions. But after Ramadan, you can and even need to go, especially for shopping lovers: all large stores are organizing sales. In 2020, Ramadan falls on April 23-May 23.
  • The beach season in the UAE is year-round. But the sun in these latitudes is so active and strong that Europeans burn even in cloudy weather. Take more sunscreen!

Why do we like the UAE? Think for yourself:

– no visa required - no additional hassles or money!

– the tourist season in the UAE begins when something slushy sets in in our latitudes, which means you want to bask in the sun even more

– how long it takes to fly to Dubai will depend on which flight you choose. A direct flight from Moscow will take 5 hours - in principle, not long

By the way, you can see exactly what the end of December looks like in the Emirates in our video:

When is it cheaper to vacation in the UAE?

For those who want to save money and travel to the Emirates outside the holiday season, the best month may be December or the end of May.

It is also worth paying attention to where to choose a tour. As mentioned above, the coast of the Gulf of Oman has a milder climate than the resorts of the Persian Gulf (Dubai, Sharjah, Ras al-Khaimah or Abu Dhabi). And Sharjah and Ras al-Khaimah will cost less than futuristic Dubai or the capital Abu Dhabi.

We are looking for a discounted tour.

This year? Let's figure it out. Over the past decades, the Emirates (there are seven in total) have become very popular among Russian tourists due to the high level of service, clean sandy beaches and multi-story shopping malls. Significant oil reserves have made this country one of the richest in the world.

UAE in winter

In the winter months, a comfortable temperature is set: +24-26 oC. The water for swimming is cool: +18-20 oC. Sometimes there are strong winds and sandstorms. The annual maximum precipitation falls in February. Fujairah, located in the eastern part of the country, has a milder climate and a little more rain here

Can be called average: the trip will cost more than to Egypt or Tunisia, but at the same time cheaper than to the Dominican Republic or Thailand. Tours for St. Valentine's Day It is better to purchase Valentine's in advance due to high demand.

Surprisingly, fans of alpine skiing and snowboarding will also find entertainment in the hot Emirates. In the Ski Dubai ski resort with 5 slopes, all the necessary equipment and even live spruce trees, you can ski all year round. According to reviews from travelers, winter is a good time for excursion programs, walks along Dubai Creek and trips to the desert.

It deserves special attention. Here you will find the tallest skyscraper Burj Khalifa, a free show of singing fountains and winter sales in shopping malls. The diversity of the flight program to the United Arab Emirates and the not very long flight (about 5 hours) make weekend tours popular, so those who wish can safely go here to celebrate February 23rd.

In December and January, there are huge sales with discounts of up to 80% and lotteries where you can win a sports car.

UAE in spring

March and early April are the right time for the beach season in the Emirates: the average temperature is +30 oC, but there is no heat yet. On March 8 and May holidays, demand for the Emirates is traditionally increased. It is better to take excursion tours in March, as the sweltering heat sets in closer to May, especially for desert safaris. The advantage is that the water warms up to +28 oC, and swimming is very comfortable.

UAE in summer

If you decide to go to the Emirates in 2020, you should postpone your trip until the fall, especially if you are traveling with children, since from June to September it is very stuffy on the coast. And even taking into account the dry climate, the time for excursions and swimming is not entirely suitable.

Also, the holiday seasons in the UAE and climate characteristics should be taken into account by older people who do not tolerate stuffiness well. Thermometers sometimes rise to a record 50 degrees in summer. And even the waters of the Persian Gulf do not save you from the heat.

If you find yourself in the Emirates in the summer, you can go to the Dreamland or Wild Wadi water parks, Wonderland amusement park or Lost Chambers aquarium.

UAE in autumn

The period from October to the end of November is the best time to travel to the UAE in 2020. You will escape the chilly autumn rains and have a great time, especially during the November holidays. This is also a good time for scuba diving, especially in the eastern part. In autumn, the air temperature reaches +30-33 oC, and the water temperature - +25 oC.

Many families with small children choose to: there are fine sandy beaches with gentle slopes, crystal clear water, and prices are significantly lower than in Dubai or. At the end of November the water becomes cool, but many hotels have heated pools.

The United Arab Emirates has gained high demand among tourists, despite covering most of its territory with desert. The best beaches, entertainment and shopping centers, many interesting attractions are created here, and the hotels have one of the most developed infrastructures. You can combine your vacation with purchasing useful goods, as well as getting to know the local culture and customs. Many tourists are interested in the question of when is the season in the United Arab Emirates. You can visit the country at any time, but there are periods when the air temperature approaches +500C, which causes some discomfort.

The winter months are more suitable for exploring local attractions. The air warms up to +250C, but sometimes it reaches +170C, so swimming in the sea is a little cool. Holidays at this time are more suitable for excursions and shopping. Shopping festivals are held here, where you can buy a lot of things at a good price. Tourists are offered recreation in local water parks, dolphinariums and other entertainment centers.

February is considered the rainiest month, when the number of clear days is minimal. December and January are more comfortable months for relaxation - you can spend several days on the beach under the warm sun. Tourists are offered swimming pools on site with slides and other entertainment.

In December, the streets of the country are filled with beautifully decorated houses, like in a fairy tale. Stores hold sales, which especially attracts tourists. Shopping centers offer a wide variety of entertainment events with fairs. There are a huge number of recreational activities available for tourists.

Holidays in the spring months

This period is one of the most comfortable for visiting the UAE. The air temperature during the day stays at +250C - +300C, and the water in the sea is heated to +230C. you can swim in the sea and spend time on the beach under the sun, getting a gorgeous tan.

This time is especially suitable for families with children - it is not hot here, the water is warm, there is enough entertainment and excursions. The restaurants offer exquisite cuisine and excellent conditions for a pleasant pastime. Children will find plenty of entertainment in dolphinariums, water parks and entertainment centers.

Especially spring is ideal for divers - the water is clean and warm. The underwater world reveals itself in the best colors, which will make the activity full of wonderful impressions.

Possibility of summer holidays

This is the hottest time in the Emirates, so before your trip you should decide on entertainment. The air warms up to +500C - +600C, and in the sea - up to +380C. visiting excursions during this period is difficult to endure - there is intense heat and little rainfall, which makes the air dry and difficult to walk along the streets. Swimming in the hot sea also does not bring the desired coolness, and sunbathing on the beach can become a rather dangerous activity.

Local residents spend all their free time under the roofs of shopping centers and other entertainment complexes. In June, the holy month of Ramadan is celebrated, which requires appropriate behavior from tourists - revealing clothing is prohibited and restraint in behavior and expression of emotions is recommended.

This is the so-called low tourist season - there is a significant reduction in prices for travel packages, which attracts some vacationers. Tourists spend daytime on the hotel premises or visit a water park, dolphinarium or ski resort. In the evening the air temperature drops slightly, so you can walk along the city streets or along the beach.

A trip to the Emirates in autumn

The first month of autumn still maintains high air temperatures, but closer to October, more comfortable weather sets in. Vacationers can spend time on the beach, sunbathing and swimming in the sea. During the day, you can take a walk around the city to get to know the culture and traditions of the country better. It is worth walking through the bazaar and trying ripe fruits and other ready-made dishes. Excursions take place in more comfortable conditions.

Sandstorms often occur here in October, making it difficult to visit the beach. There are no storms in the Fujairah resort, which allows you to have a wonderful vacation. In November, the holiday is spoiled by rain, but the flow of tourists gradually increases. Closer to the beginning of the high season, hotels are completely full.

High season in the UAE

Most often, tourists go to Dubai - it offers a large amount of entertainment, many beaches, the tallest skyscrapers and the Sheikh's Palace. The country welcomes holidaymakers throughout the year, but there are periods when the number of tourists increases sharply.

The high season begins in October and lasts until April. The most comfortable months for a beach holiday are October and November and March and April. In winter, swimming in the sea is cool, but you can devote your vacation to visiting interesting sights and excursions. This is also an ideal time to visit shopping centers where sales are held for the Christmas holidays. You can buy many things at good discounts.

During the high season, there is a huge amount of entertainment for children - a dolphinarium, a water park, a ski complex, and entertainment centers in malls. Various exhibitions are held where you can get acquainted with the masterpieces of world culture. For adults there is also a lot of entertainment that will not let you get bored. The Emirates are actively developing in the tourism sector, attracting a large number of tourists every year.

Low season offers

The low season begins in June and ends in August. This period is characterized by the highest air temperatures – up to +500C. the sand warms up to +700C, which makes walking on the beach impossible. And the sea is heated to +380C, so you won’t be able to get blissful coolness from the water.

At this time, you can save a lot on your vacation - prices for tourist packages are significantly reduced. Tourists are offered a number of entertainment activities in shopping and entertainment centers, a dolphinarium, a water park and the Ski Dubai ski resort, and it is also worth visiting the aquariums, where there is a huge number of marine species that amaze with their beauty and unusual colors.

The holy holiday of Ramadan, which takes place in June, can slightly overshadow your holiday. Tourists are required to follow certain rules - modesty in clothing, violent expression of emotions and impressions, as well as more restrained behavior are prohibited. Many entertainment venues and restaurants are closed until sunset. To have lunch, you will have to look for an establishment that offers the opportunity to dine behind a special screen.

Should you plan a trip to the UAE in May and September?

May and September occupy a borderline position between two tourist seasons - high and low. At this time it is not very hot yet, which makes your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Daytime temperatures remain at +380C - +400C, sea water is heated to +300C. In the evening it gets a little cooler, so it's worth taking some warm clothes with you. Humidity rises to 90-95% and the winds are quite strong, but for people who can easily tolerate the heat, you can have a great time on the beach.

Shopping and entertainment centers are not crowded, so shopping takes place in pleasant conditions - there are no queues, discounts are offered and you can safely try on clothes, without a long wait for a fitting room. The dolphinarium and aquariums are free, which allows you to explore the aquatic world freely during the day, without being distracted by other visitors.

For young couples, this is the ideal time for romantic walks around the city and dinner in the best restaurants in the country. Excursions are conducted as usual, so there is an opportunity to see unique places that preserve ancient culture.

Best time for a beach holiday

The ideal time for swimming in the sea and sunbathing on the shore is considered to be autumn and spring. The warm sea and hot sun make it possible to get a gorgeous tan in a short period of time. The best months for people who cannot tolerate heat are November and March, so it is worth taking trips for these months. In November you can save a lot - the cost of tours is significantly reduced.

For those who prefer hotter weather, it's worth taking a closer look at October and the summer months. It is quite hot during the day, but in the morning and evening before sunset you can have a great time on the beach, swimming in the warm waters of the sea. The buses are equipped with air conditioning, so you can move around the city with maximum comfort. Shopping and entertainment centers have a pleasant atmosphere - tourists are offered a lot of entertainment, the opportunity to buy souvenirs and other useful things. It is especially easy to visit local attractions in winter - the weather is pleasant, not exceeding +300C.

Many tourists walk to the market and the Old Town, and also visit open-air museums. You must visit mosques in appropriate clothing - tops and open sundresses are prohibited. If you want to visit a mosque, you need to immediately think about your dress code.

In Dubai, group excursions are often organized with special air-conditioned buses, and in the evening they take walks to interesting places. Near the Burj Khalifa there are dancing fountains, where spectacular shows are staged every evening after 19:00. Here you can have a wonderful evening admiring the extraordinary spectacle. In Dubai Creek, excursion walks are periodically held in the evening - this is a great opportunity to see the city at night, decorated with electric lighting. The walk will give you unforgettable sensations and emotions.

A trip to the Emirates for profitable shopping

The country is open for shopping all year round. Shops offer tourists a variety of goods - from souvenirs to a variety of clothes, gold, etc. Sellers hold sales throughout the year. The most pleasant seasons with decent discounts are:

    from mid-December and almost all of January, many stores have Christmas sales;

    from the end of May to June the holy holiday of Ramadan is celebrated, when prices for goods also decrease;

    From January to February, numerous shopping festivals are held - they organize raffles, sales and lotteries;

In the summer, the famous Dubai Summer Surprises holiday is held (a new date is set every year) - there are massive discounts in stores.

The most significant discounts are observed on expensive categories of goods - gold, branded clothing, fur products, etc. Sales do not significantly affect things in the low price category.

Prices for tickets per person departing from Berlin are shown.

Currency in the UAE

The currency in the UAE is the dirham. There are 100 fils in one dirham. For one dollar you can get about 4 dirhams.

Sights of the UAE

The Emirates cannot boast many historical attractions like cities in Europe or Asia. The country's rapid development began only half a century ago. However, the lack of ancient ruins and ancient houses of the UAE city is more than compensated by ultra-modern skyscrapers, luxurious amusement parks, beautiful embankments and, of course, oriental bazaars in air-conditioned shopping centers.

The best in the Emirates

If you definitely want to touch history and culture, then you should pay attention to the beautiful mosques - for example, the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in - or the Bastakiya area, where clay houses, a fort building and the atmosphere of an Arab village have been preserved.

Picturesque oases are scattered throughout the emirates, and there are healing mineral springs in the emirates. For wildlife lovers, we recommend visiting the unique mangrove reserve, zoo and Sheikh's Palace in Al Ain in Abu Dhabi.

On an excursion to the UAE, you can go into the desert on jeeps and ATVs, travel around all the emirates and even visit the neighboring Sultanate of Oman, sail on a yacht on man-made islands or simply in the Persian Gulf, even fly in a helicopter near the Burj Khalifa skyscraper or in a hot air balloon over surroundings.

Shopping

People come to the UAE for quality shopping - there are many multi-storey shopping centers and markets. The most famous of them are The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Souk Madinat Jumeirah next to Palm Jumeirah, Gold Souk in Dubai's Deira district, Abu Dhabi Mall.

Souvenirs

The most popular souvenirs that tourists bring from the UAE are chocolate and candies based on camel milk, amazing dates with and without filling, soft toys, seven sands - a bottle of multi-colored sand from different emirates, small carpets, hookahs, jewelry and jewelry.

Transport

Compared to Russia, public transport in the UAE is very poorly developed. This is explained by the fact that almost every resident has his own car. Buses and metro are mainly used by migrant workers and tourists. Regular city bus service is only available in and Abu Dhabi. A bus ticket is inexpensive - about 1.5 dirhams.

Most often, tourists travel by taxi. Each machine is equipped with a meter. If you are traveling from one emirate to another, be prepared for the fact that a certain amount will be added for crossing the “border” (each emirate has its own, but no more than 5 dollars). You will also have to pay extra for travel on toll roads.

The metro is popular with both locals and tourists. It is fully automatic, there are no drivers. The Dubai Metro has 2 lines in total; they are connected to each other and to the tram line. There are 3 categories of tickets for payment - “golden” (with a panoramic view and a guarantee of a seat in the head/tail car, they cost 2 times more than regular ones), women’s and children’s tickets (tickets to a certain section of the car) and regular ones. Ticket prices range from 1.8 to 11 dirhams.

There is a tram line in the Dubai Marina area, and on the Palm Jumeirah there is a monorail, which tourists love to ride on. One trip on the monorail costs 15 dirhams.

To rent a car in the UAE, you will need an international driver's license and a credit card. All personalized cards issued in the Russian Federation are considered credit cards. In some cases, you can rent a car using a Russian ID and without presenting a credit card. However, if you are stopped by the police, you will have to pay a huge fine. When renting, the amount on the bank card is “frozen” (750-2000 dirhams), it is important that it is available.

Alcohol

The UAE is a Muslim country where there is a ban on alcohol consumption. Each emirate sets its own law on alcohol - for example, it doesn’t even smell like it: you can’t not only drink it, but even transport it and store it. Surrounded by , there are a couple of liquor stores. You can find alcoholic cocktails on the menu, but be prepared that they will be expensive. Alcohol can be brought into your hotel room in some emirates. You can buy wine, beer and other drinks in duty-free shops upon arrival, but only a little. The quantity is monitored - lovers of strong drinks can easily be deprived of their favorite drink.

Customs and traditions

Religion in the UAE is Islam. Believers perform namaz 5 times a day. The call to prayer is heard through mosque loudspeakers, as well as on radio and television.

Holy month Ramadan- a special period for Muslims, a time of fasting, humility and prayer. Its beginning is determined by the lunar calendar, each year a new date. In 2018, Ramadan lasts from May 15 to June 14, in 2019 - from May 5 to June 3.

During Ramadan, Muslims are prohibited from eating and drinking before sunset, so many cafes and restaurants are closed during the day. Tourists are not recommended to eat or drink on the street, and when going on excursions, they should take food rations with them. Many hotels are being renovated just in time for Ramadan. However, there are also advantages from visiting the UAE at this time, and considerable ones - there are almost no traffic jams in cities and on highways, there are no queues to attractions (many increase opening hours until late at night), there are fewer crowds in shops, and in hotels and on the beaches there are much more calmer and more spacious.

Women are strictly prohibited from appearing on the street in open or translucent clothing. Firstly, it is indecent, and secondly, the locals will immediately call the police and the “half-naked” tourist, according to the Arabs, will be fined a hefty sum (the morality police are especially fierce).
