Megeve in France is a pretty Savoyard village with cobbled streets and cozy mansions. An important role in its formation was played by the architect Henri-Jacques Le Meme, the author of chalet-style houses. Trails, slopes, lifts
Megève, together with its neighboring resorts, form the Evasion Mont Blanc ski area with a total length of slopes of about 445 km. Most of them are accessible directly from the village.

They are not very long, but steep and lumpy: only real professionals can conquer them.
The ski areas are also suitable for snowboarders, but the most interesting in this regard are Mont Joux, Le Jaillet and Combloux, where there are snow parks, and Cote-2000, where there is a boarder cross track.
There are several prestigious ski schools in Megeve: Ecole du Ski Français, Ecole de Ski Internationale, Ecole de Freeride. They accept both adults and children from 4 years old for training.
Entertainment and active recreation
Megève has plenty of options for those who love an active pastime: cross-country ski trails starting right from the hotels, snowshoe trails, a sports palace with an indoor skating rink, swimming pool, climbing wall, ping pong and outdoor fitness center skating rink, horseback riding, hot air balloon rides, dog sledding, flying club and much more.

You can acquire your skiing level or raise it directly on the spot by completing training at one of the skiing or snowboarding schools, where you can also learn freeride. The duration of one lesson is either 2.5 hours or 4 hours (the cost of 6 lessons will cost 160 and 256 euros, respectively).
In addition, all the same types of services for adults are available for children aged 2 years and older, and the Meg’ Loisirs school generally enrolls children aged 1 year and older. Another school, located near the ski lift du Chamois, enrolls groups of children aged 3 to 5 years.
And the school near the La Princesse ski lift provides childcare services all day long; children will be fed during breaks between their group classes. One day of training at such a school will cost 54 euros.
Megève has a total of 135 trails with a total length of about 300 km and 80 lifts. According to official data, the resort has slopes of all categories: 54 red, 41 blue, 23 green and 17 black.
But experts and avid skiers are of the opinion that these estimates are overestimated, and the slopes are more suitable for beginner and intermediate levels.
