Is it worth going to Saki? Saki - how far is the walk to the sea, and also about the resort park, salt lake and mineral spring. Beach of the recreation center "Priboy" in Saki

Saki, a small town on the western coast of Crimea, is best known for its mud, sanatoriums, large water park and entertainment complex on the seashore. This place, however, also attracts those who love quiet, wild beaches.

1. Dirt

Saki is primarily known for its mud. The bottom of the Saki salt lake is covered with a thick layer of healing mineral mud.

The mud and brine (salt-saturated water) of this lake help with atritis, arthrosis and other joint diseases, vascular diseases, some gynecological and neurological diseases, genitourinary diseases, and sexual disorders in men.

There are 15 sanatoriums and boarding houses in Saki that offer mud therapy, including the Poltava-Crimea clinical sanatorium (open all year round). To improve your health, it is better to go for at least 2-4 weeks.

However, mud therapy is a very serious method; it is contraindicated in case of bronchial asthma, diabetes, cancer, renal forms of hypertension, etc. Consultation with your doctor before the trip is required.

There are also mineral water springs in Saki. Here they produce slightly alkaline water “Crimean” (used for diseases of the digestive system and metabolic disorders).

2. Beaches

Although there is no sea beach in Saki (the city is 4 km from the sea), it is easy to get to the sea coast by bus or minibus.

You can sunbathe on equipped beaches in Novofedorovka or on the Saki bay-bar (the isthmus that connects Saki and Yevpatoria), where there are sun loungers and umbrellas, cafes, restaurants, toilets and entertainment for children, or you can drive further away and relax on wild beaches where there are few vacationers (mostly auto tourists) and there are no annoying sellers of corn and ice cream.

Two hours away by car is the Tarkhankut Peninsula (Olenevka village), one of the most beautiful places in Crimea. There are picturesque rocks and grottoes here, including the famous 100-meter grotto on Cape Bolshoy Atlesh.

3. Entertainment

On the highway not far from Saki there is the Banana Republic water park (8 pools and 25 attractions). A ticket for adults costs from 650 to 950 rubles depending on the time of visit, for children up to 130 cm tall - 650 rubles, for children up to 90 cm tall - free. Luggage storage - 100 rub.

Between Saki and Yevpatoriya there is also a large entertainment complex "Solnyshko" (4.5 hectares) - there is a beach equipped with sun loungers and showers, rental points for water and sports equipment, water attractions, a diving center, sports grounds for playing volleyball, aquaball , football, streetball, etc.

4. Excursions

You can take many interesting excursions from Sak. Not far from the center there is the Museum of Antiquities of North-Western Crimea. Here you can see the archaeological excavations of the ancient fortress of Evpatorion (2nd century BC), the reconstruction of a Scythian dwelling and a museum where coins, ceramics, household items, finds from the necropolis and weapons are exhibited - a total of 240 exhibits.

In 20 minutes you can drive to Evpatoria. Among its attractions are the Khan-Jami Mosque, Tekie Dervishes (the only Muslim monastery in Crimea of the 15th-16th centuries), kariz (an ancient water supply system built in the 15th-14th centuries), etc.

In 1.5 hours you can get from Sak to Bakhchisarai and see the medieval fortress city of Chufut Kale, the Assumption Monastery, the Khan's Palace, etc.

5. Transport

It’s easy to get to Saki if you fly to Crimea by plane. Simferopol Airport is located 40 km from the city. A taxi from the airport to Sak will cost about 900 rubles, some hotels offer transfers.

You can also get there from the airport by minibus. Another option is to take a bus or trolleybus to the railway station, and from there take a regular bus or minibus to Sak. The journey will take 1.5-2 hours. There are also trains from Simferopol to Saki, but they are slow and stuffy.

For a long time I wanted to look into Saki and find out whether it is possible to organize a “wild” vacation in this Crimean resort town so that you can swim in the healing salty water of Lake Saki, and go to the sea every day, without being baked in the sun all day long (here I put hopes for the Resort Park), and also get a bonus - to improve the gastrointestinal tract with a local mineral spring. Last year such an opportunity presented itself. True, I spent only half a day in this wonderful town, all running and running, but I got the impression that a vacation in Saki would be calm, quiet, measured and beneficial in terms of health improvement.

This is the route I got: railway station - bus station, market, city center - Kurortnaya Street, local history museum - Resort Park - Salt Lake (with a search for a short road to the sea) - mineral spring... And back along the shortest route to the railway station. Everything in Saki is located compactly and within walking distance:

The station in Saki is small - like in Bakhchisarai. From the narrow platform I walked through the station lobby, found myself on a tiny station square and immediately dived into a short shady alley, which somehow quickly ended - I only had time to turn around to take a photo of the station building and walk along it a little:

Further across was Vokzalnaya Street (the trade in melons from cars confirmed that the station market was correctly indicated on the map on the left), I crossed it and along Prokhorova Street along the five-story “Khrushchev” buildings, after 300 km I reached the Evpatoria Highway:

Beyond the highway I had to cross a vacant lot along a concrete footpath, and after that I found myself in the private sector. The nearest street in the direction I need is Fontanniy Lane. At the very first gate there is a sign “for rent...” - the entire private sector is aimed at vacationers; you can find housing in Saki to suit every taste:

Fountain Lane led me to the bus station. Five minutes away is the beautiful St. Elias Church, which is worth looking at from all angles. There is also a central market and the central city square (Revolution Square) nearby - this is noticeable by the animation of people:

A pedestrian street leads from the square towards the Resort Park. Revolutions: many souvenir shops, a gazebo “Saki - a resort town” for those who want to take a photo as a souvenir (there is a large stone with a palm print in the center - you can put your hand and make a wish). On the left side of the street there is a park named after A.S. Pushkin, in which a monument to the poet is erected:

St. Revolution leads to the street. Resort, stretching along the entire Resort Park. Opposite is the entrance to the park, but it’s worth walking a little to the left to see a chic two-story mansion - the local history museum of the city of Saki, where you can get acquainted with the history of local mud therapy (at the entrance to the museum there is an ancient bathtub, carved from a solid mass of sandstone with an iron hoop in a circle, such there were baths in the Saki mud baths until 1880):

The resort park made a double impression - for the most part it is overgrown, neglected, abandoned, with dried up fountains, but the main thing is that it exists - a green oasis in the middle of the arid steppe lands. Monuments to L. Ukrainka and N. Gogol, who were once treated here, were discovered in the park. The territory of the park is divided between sanatoriums, access is free almost everywhere:

Lake Saki itself, famous for its unique mud and brine, stretches for five kilometers; I was able to see a small part of it in the area of the mud baths. Behind the mud baths, a road was discovered towards the sea through salty estuaries. I asked the locals if it was possible to walk to the sea - they said that it would be no more than an hour’s walk (3-4 km). I just think that it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to hide from the sun... As an option, walk in one direction: early in the morning there (back by bus) or in the afternoon there by bus (walk back in the evening).

Mud bath:

Next to the mud bath there is a hydrogeological regime-operational station (GGRES), created to control the lake back in 1926, behind it is a “farm” for extracting mud and delivering it to the mud bath. And there is that very road to the sea, which I already mentioned above:

“The city that gives hope and salvation” is the name of the resort, which has been truly restoring health to sick people for more than 100 years. Crimea, Saki - vacation is inexpensive, but how much pleasure and benefit it will bring you!

The small resort town of Saki is located 45 km from Simferopol and 25 km from Evpatoria. To get to the resort, you must first get to. And you can do this by plane, train or bus.

The flight to Simferopol airport from Moscow will take 2.5 hours and will cost from 6,500 rubles. per person. from other major cities:

The train option takes more time and effort too. You will have to go from Moscow to the Kerch crossing area, then take a ferry and only after that you will get to Simferopol. How to get to Saki from here? A railway and a highway pass through this city, so we choose a commuter train or bus. We are looking for the Simferopol bus station, which is called “Central”, or the bus station “Kurortnaya”; the railway station is located next to it. From here you can easily get to Saki, both by train “Simferopol-Evpatoria” (journey time 1 hour 30 minutes) and by bus of the same route (1 hour journey, ticket price ~70 rubles plus for luggage ~10 rubles .).

You can also take an economy taxi, such a pleasure will cost 800 rubles, if you go from the airport, 900 rubles. from the railway station and 1000 rub. from the bus station.

Holidays in Saki: hotels, sanatoriums, recreation centers and other options

The basis of the infrastructure is hospitals, because Saki is considered the best mud resort in Crimea. The mud of Lake Saki, which people call nothing more than “a gift from the Gods,” contains many useful substances, minerals, and is actively used in health procedures. All sanatoriums and boarding houses are equipped with modern equipment and have their own mud and hydrotherapy clinics. The main specialization of health resorts:

  • gynecology,
  • urology,
  • dermatology,
  • treatment of the respiratory and nervous system,
  • treatment of gastrointestinal diseases,
  • elimination of problems of the musculoskeletal system.

It is very convenient that the local hospitals operate year-round, that is, at any time of the year you can relax on the seashore, and very inexpensively, prices:

  • in sanatoriums - from 300 rub. per day per person (without treatment),
  • in hotels - from 500 rub. per day per room,
  • private sector - from 600 rub. per day.

SK "Saki" is extremely popular among tourists - from 2500 rubles. per person with treatment and three meals a day:

The Poltava-Crimea sanatorium operates under the same all-inclusive system. Accommodation with treatment and meals 3 times a day costs from 2600 rubles. per person. Among other health resorts, tourists note good reviews (minimum prices with treatment are indicated):

  • “Sakropol” - 2600 rub.,
  • “Northern Lights” - 2000 rub.,
  • “Yurmino” - 2550 rub.,
  • “Tangier” - 1000 rub.

There are plenty of other accommodation options in the city with prices starting from 800 rubles. for two. If you want to admire the sea directly from the window of your room, choose hotels, guest houses and recreation centers on the first coastline:

  • “Goldfish” - 70 m from the sea,
  • “Seagull” - 50 m,
  • "Breeze" - 50 m,
  • “Comfort” - 100 m,
  • "Valeo" - 150 m,
  • “Le-Di” - 300 m.

Separately, I would like to mention the recreation center “Priboy” (Morskaya St., 4). Located 100 m from the sea and 10 km from Evpatoria. There is a cozy, homely atmosphere here, which is especially popular with families planning a vacation with children. The infrastructure is thought out inside and out: many cafes and restaurants, attractions, children's playgrounds, a large arsenal of entertainment, a sandy beach, a shallow sea with a flat bottom; if desired, you can undergo sanatorium-resort treatment at Priboi. You can stay in a double room at an attractive price - from 900 rubles. On the territory of the base there is a hotel complex "Malibu" - an excellent place for a romantic vacation away from noise, nightclubs and restaurants. The second hotel, or rather a mini-hotel, operating on the territory of the Priboy base is called Alexandria. Accommodation there will cost from 800 rubles. for two.

By the way, if you like mini-hotels, choose Sheikh, you won’t regret it. It is located in the village of Novofedorovka, 250 m from the sandy beach, and is a modern three-story cottage.

Well, don’t forget about the attractive opportunity to inexpensively rent an apartment or house in the private sector. Accommodation prices are 2 times lower compared to and. If you need an inexpensive holiday in Crimea on the Saki coast, pay attention to the resort village of Pribrezhnoye. Families with children, youth groups and sailing enthusiasts come here - there is entertainment for everyone.

Are there sandy beaches in Saki? Certainly!

The resort is small, so there are few beach areas here. Most beaches are sandy, with occasional sand mixed with pebbles. All are perfectly landscaped, the entrance to the sea is gentle, the water warms up earlier than on the South Coast. For these reasons, there are always a lot of parents with children in Saki. Almost all the beaches of the resort belong to sanatoriums and boarding houses. They are the cleanest and well equipped, but you can only get there with health resort passes.

The city's Central Beach is a favorite among tourists. It is large, well-groomed, sandy, and, most importantly, free. You can relax pleasantly under the shade of reed umbrellas or show off your volleyball skills. Or you can rent a quad bike and ride the waves to your heart’s content, naturally, under the supervision of lifeguards.

Golden sand, clear sea, a moderate number of people who like to “roast” in the sun - this is what Central Beach looks like

The beach entertainment complex “Solnyshko” is a must-visit place. The 450 m long sand and pebble beach is constantly in full swing with life: festivals and discos are held. But this is mainly in the evening, and during the day people swim together and bask in the rays of the Saki sun. True, there is an entrance fee here.

Next door to “Solnyshko” is the New Beach. It is sandy, but the coastal area is strewn with pebbles. Divided into free and paid areas, all well maintained, with modern infrastructure.

“Priboy” is a free beach, located near the recreation center of the same name. Here tourists have the opportunity to actively spend their leisure time.

From the sand and pebble beach "Golden Fish" it is only 9 km. It is clean and well-groomed, but not crowded due to some distance from Saki, so you can take note. Another place where there are not many people is a pebble beach in the village of Novofedorovka with a minimal set of infrastructure elements. Spacious, smoothly transitions into a wild coastal area, where lovers of silence like to relax. Well, if you want to join the local nudists, then you need to move to the area between the Novofedorovka pier and the Yurmino sanatorium.

Detailed map of the resort with streets, sanatoriums, beaches, attractions:

Where to eat deliciously and inexpensively? Resort cafes and restaurants

There will definitely be no problems with food in the city; there are many cafes, bars, restaurants and pizzerias. Most of them are located in the park area and in front of it.

Based on the reviews of tourists, you get the following rating of cafes and restaurants in Saki:

  • "Magic Blizzard"
  • "Cheburechnaya No. 1"
  • "Raisin",
  • "Niagara"
  • "Ellas"
  • "Elite"
  • "Entrecote",
  • "Livadia"
  • "Meeting",
  • "Caravan Saray".

To determine food costs, let’s take prices in Yalta as a basis: the average bill in a cafe is 700-1000 rubles, in a restaurant 1500 rubles. In Saki they will be several times lower, that is, 350-500 rubles. and 750 rub. respectively.

What to do and what to see? Saki attractions and entertainment

"Banana republic". This is a huge water park with a full range of entertainment, which is located 8 km from the city on the seashore. There are 8 swimming pools, 25 water attractions, cocktail bars, a tennis court... In general, go, it will be fun. Entrance for adults from 1400 rubles, for children from 1000 rubles.

Resort park. In the middle of the steppe terrain, this park is a luxurious green oasis. An unprecedented amount of vegetation, including exotic ones, “lives” on an area of 50 hectares. On the territory of the park there is a local history museum, a pump room with mineral water, and gazebos for relaxation. Children will certainly enjoy the complex of dinosaur sculptures.

Saki Lake. It is in it that the very healing mud is found, which is produced in a “natural laboratory” in a natural way. Tourists and locals alike tend to come here. Many people smear themselves with mud from head to toe, but in truth, it is better to do this under the supervision of doctors. After all, treatment with Saki mud is not recommended for everyone; there is a high probability of harming yourself. But a walk along the lake and through its shallow waters will only be beneficial.

Kora-Tobe. An ancient Greco-Scythian fortress, built in the 4th century. BC. In Kora-Tobe today there is a museum of antiquity of the North-Western Crimea. And from the walls of the fortress a panorama of the Kalamitsky Bay and surrounding areas opens.

"Sergiev Posad". A cultural and ethnographic complex located near the city. Birds and animals live here: ostriches, deer, rare species of birds. An excursion to an ostrich farm will give you a lot of unforgettable emotions and joy. Cockfights, feeding ostriches, horse riding, fishing, archery, souvenirs made from bird eggs and feathers, and a picnic in nature await you.

Watch a video about vacationing at the Priboi base and you will definitely want to visit here:

Of course, the variety of entertainment is small, but there is enough to have a great vacation in any company. And don’t forget that next door is Evpatoria, where you can go for a day for new impressions.

The Internet is full of reviews about Saki. But all of them are either stupid or about effective treatment offered by the local sanatoriums and boarding houses. Even though we lived in the Sunny Beach boarding house, I won’t write about it. I'll just say that we liked it. I will devote most of the review to the leisure time that we spent in our free time from various procedures. I will also omit the story about swimming in the famous lake Sasyka with healing mud. Since we were just going on vacation, and not for treatment, we didn’t feel much of an effect. Although we swam a couple of times, not without it. The sea was of particular interest to us. I agree with many that in this regard, Saki was chosen a little incorrectly and not for the intended purpose. If you settle at least on Zavodskaya or Rabochy Lane, the sea will be about 3-4 kilometers away. We were lucky to live right on Morskaya, which not every tourist can afford. Firstly, because places on Morskaya are limited. Secondly, because living there costs more than on other streets. Although, if you compare the first line of Evpatoria and Saki, Saki is much cheaper. And the beaches, by the way, are much better, freer, and there is a choice - pebbles and sand. Many locals complained about the seashore being overrun by tourists. But they have nothing to complain about. In the summer, even in July, Saki is much freer than, again, in Yevpatoria. So, our leisure time, despite the scarcity of entertainment, was far from meager. Almost every day we walked along the dam from the sea towards Kurortnaya in Saki. This is an exciting journey that I do not recommend for people with poor physical fitness. We went in the evening, and in the morning we relaxed exclusively at the sea. In the afternoon, not far from our boarding house, we took a minibus and went to the large water park Banana Republic. A very cool place that I advise you to visit not only for the sake of your children, but also for your loved ones. There are such slides that any Crimean water park would be envious. There are a lot of people, so it’s better to go in the morning. In Saki we visited a lot of different cafes, but I can’t mention a single one. And I’d like to mention the cool baked goods store Leader, located near Pushkinsky Square. By the way, few people mention Pushkinsky Square in reviews of Sak’s attractions. Although this is a very beautiful walking place. A popular place in Saki is not only Lake Saki, but also Kara-Tobe. There we also climbed everything up and down. In general, Kara-Tobe is an observation booth, some kind of naval facility. Located on the mountain. But they say that this is an ancient Greco-Scythian fortress that historians have been looking for for many years. There are many attractions in Saki, but all of them are not particularly famous. Worth a look though. Especially at the St. Elias Church. In general, we often went to the Novofedorovskoye village. It’s very cool there, if only because there’s a lot of entertainment and rentals on the beach. Although I wouldn’t live in the village itself. We spent such a simple holiday in Saki. Not to say that there was something grandiose, but the main thing is the sea, the sun and a good atmosphere, and it’s there!

Comments on the review:

Oh, we also vacationed in the Sunny Beach boarding house! We lived in the standard room in July from the 3rd to the 17th of this year. Maybe we've met? So, how do you like the boarding house? It seems to me that it is more for families with children. When we were resting, this was exactly the impression we got. Entertainment is exclusively for children, food is also designed for children. Do I think we should have gone for something more youthful? What do you think, Danil? In any case, I would recommend this boarding house to those of my friends who are going to Saki on a family vacation with children.

What a small world) We were also there in July. Most likely, we have definitely met. Yes, there are a lot of children's facilities in Sunny Beach. But somehow we didn’t bother about this. In the end, our goal was to find a comfortable place to stay near the sea. The Sunny Beach boarding house met our needs. The rest didn't really interest us. Although the court there and the volleyball court are just super, with excellent coverage! And the food is quite acceptable. Some of it tasted like homemade food. We rested in a 2-story log house, not in a room. Perhaps that's why we don't know each other. I was with company.

Ah, well then everything is clear) In any case, I’m happy that I spent my holiday in Saki. And it’s on Morskaya, because relaxing in the city itself is just hell. Walking to the sea for 2 hours a day there, and 2 hours a day back is simply an incredibly boring and tedious task. I can’t imagine how older people rent in the private sector in the center of Saki. What do they expect, what comfort?

Polina, as you like. For example, we lived wonderfully on Zavodskaya. And the walk to the sea was not at all difficult for us. Essentially it's the same as walking around a big city. There is only beautiful nature around, a fragrant aroma, clean iodized air, and an atmosphere free of pollution from cars. And it’s not at all 2 hours to the sea, but only 30-40 minutes, if at a fast, even pace. But much cheaper than Morskaya. Large families like ours, alas, do not have this luxury even in Saki - living by the sea. But we had at our disposal not a cramped room, but a whole turnkey house.

I agree about the price of a vacation. But our rooms were spacious. Yes, we had another drawback - the need to walk or drive 6 kilometers to the center of Saki. Because it wasn’t every day that we sat on the seashore. That's the only thing. But I would never go to Saki, because I don’t find anything interesting in this city. The beaches there are wonderful!

Saki is not a resort, but a real salvation for people with musculoskeletal disorders! 2 years ago my son, an athlete, was struck by an illness. The disease is not fatal, but it does affect the quality of life. The reason is constant pain, sometimes sharp, sometimes muffled. It is possible to live with such a disease, but for young people it is a punishment. My son was only 21 years old at the time. Naturally, as a mother, I was worried. Although he courageously denied that something was hurting him. But sometimes I would look at him, and he would sit and wince. The joints in my legs hurt terribly. We settled in the private sector on Starikov and every single day we went to Lake Saki for procedures. My son immediately felt a sense of pain relief. We took the mud home and continued applying it for a while, until it was finished. At the moment there is no pain at all, only externally the sore reminds me a little of itself. We will go every year, and nothing will happen at all!

Did you consult with doctors before going? Because not everyone can swim and smear themselves with mud in this lake! Without medical advice, it was possible to harm the boy. Thankfully everything turned out this way.

Of course, we consulted a doctor. More precisely, he advised us to Saki. We surfed the Internet, read reviews, and became familiar with the contraindications. That is, everything is as it should be. I would never go like that. And the owners of the private sector were so kind-hearted that we became friends with them forever. Very compassionate people, especially Galina Ivanovna, felt sorry for my son. They constantly fed him fruit and sweets. In general, our private sector turned out to be the most wonderful. Many people in Saki complained about inadequate conditions among private owners.

Yes, that’s exactly how it was with us. We went on holiday to Saki by car in June last summer. As far as I understand, my husband won’t take me there anymore. Although I would like to go on the dirt one more time or two. Accommodation in the guest house was booked in advance on the Internet. The photos on the website were simply wonderful. When we arrived, we were disappointed to discover that our room did not have half the comfort that we had seen. The photographs were processed beyond recognition, and people were deceived. Fortunately, we had a car and could go to another place without dragging suitcases along with us. We went to another guest house on Mendeleev Street. They couldn’t stay there either, because the owners turned out to be worse than ever. As a result, they found housing in Saki only on the third attempt.

No, not on that. Although they are all the same to me, to be honest. But definitely not on this. I wish I could write reviews and comments here!

We absolutely didn’t like it in Saki! Nonsense, not rest. We arrived and for 2 weeks all we knew was that we couldn’t find a place for ourselves. We visited all the local so-called attractions - St. Elias Cathedral, the Resort Park with an old abandoned mud bath, and even visited the local history museum for the sake of education, although we generally don’t like such places. There's nothing else to do there. Boring, and that's all. Prices are high, especially for medicines. The sea is far away. In general, it was just a disappointment, not a vacation. I was glad to be home.

Wow, so many comments, I haven't been here for a long time! Irina, that’s why my company and I chose to rent a bungalow on the territory of the Sunny Beach boarding house. Because there is more interesting there than in Saki itself. I don't mean attractions. In general: location by the sea, tennis court, beach volleyball, many vacationers in a good mood, discos, animation for children and adults. Plus excursions were organized. To any attraction of Sak and Crimea by direct bus, as they say, without leaving the ticket office.
