Boulevard of King Jaime I
King Jaime I Boulevard (Paseo Jaime I) is a wide pedestrian street considered one of the best places for walking in Salou.

Old lighthouse
Opened in April 1858, the old Cap Salou Lighthouse (Faro Cap Salou) has a red central tower that still illuminates the Bay of Sant Jordi on the Costa Dorada every day.
Originally, the lighthouse's lamps, fueled by olive oil, produced a white light visible 14 miles from shore, and two lookouts were responsible for its operation. Then, as the years passed, technology began to be used and the need for constant topping up of oil disappeared as such.

Catalan manor (Masia Catalana de Salou) is a complex of buildings created in 1974 and renovated in 2011, recreating the typical buildings of Catalan villages.
Currently, on the territory of the estate you can see a collection of agricultural implements typical of this area of Catalonia. You can also see domestic animals living in a makeshift barnyard.
Every year, on the eve of Christmas and New Year, traditional exhibitions are held on the estate - Belen, imitating the events of Christmas night.

The city park (Parc Municipal Salou) is located in the very center of Salou, near the Catalan estate and the eastern end of Levant beach.

The park was laid out on the territory of the former Camping Salou, and the author of the project was the architect Antoni Bonet Castellana. The area of the park is 15,750 sq.m.
Church of Santa Maria del Mar
The Church of Santa Maria del Mar (Parroquia de Santa Maria del Mar) is the main shrine of Salou, located in the very center of the tourist part of the city.
The church was built in 1766 by the sailors' guild, established in the first half of the century. Initially, it was a modest chapel with one nave and a belfry, which combined classicism and baroque, and was intended mainly for those people whose life was closely connected with the sea. From 1930-1950 the church underwent expansion. At this time, the side and transverse naves, as well as the dome, were erected. As a result of these changes, the church building acquired its modern appearance.

Esglesia de Sant Ramon / Parroquia de Sant Ramon Nonat is an externally modern small church located in the center of Salou.

old tower
The old defensive tower of Torre Vella de Salou was built in 1530 by order of the Archbishop of Tarragona Pere de Cardona to protect the city and its property from pirates who raided the port of Salou. Old narrow gauge railway station

The station opened on June 23, 1857, and reached its peak with the launch of a line connecting the two cities from 1887 to 1975. With the decline in trade activity in the port and the decline in trade turnover at the end of the 19th century, the road began to be used to transport holidaymakers to the beaches of Salou. An interesting architectural landmark of Salou is the Bonet House, which was built according to the design of the architect Sigranies i Graça, one of the followers of A. Gaudi. The house is a classic country villa in the Art Nouveau style, which were popular in Catalonia at the beginning of the last century. In 1911, a design for the mansion was created; construction was completed by 1919. The house was erected by order of a wealthy citizen Cyriac Bonet and became one of the first in this part of the coast.
The highlight of the building is given by a sundial made of ceramic tiles, which is decorated with the motto “Use time correctly, it flies by forever.”
The building stands in the middle of a green garden and impresses with its interesting design with a polygonal roof and an interesting composition of facades. It's worth admiring the beautiful wooden balcony doors, the intricately forged iron front door and the colorful mosaics. The inside of the building is decorated with images of Jaime I's royal campaign against Mallorca in 1229 and other historical events. Next to the mansion there is a chapel with a mosaic colorful dome and a swimming pool with a fountain.

Lovers of landscape photography should go to the most prominent cape in the sea, Cap Salou, La Punta del Cavall ("The Horse's Head"), which is a long narrow spit from where you can clearly see the entire coastline and seascapes around. The building of the old Carrilet railway station was built when the section of the Reus - Salou line was put into operation in 1857. Today, the old building has been restored and turned into a recreation area for children. The kids especially like the old steam locomotive, which is “perpetually laid up” here.
The Botanical Garden of Salou is, of course, not something stunning: it is very, very small. But the city authorities tried to design it in such a way as to create some kind of modern space, and not a traditional park. In a simple, massive building, preserved in its original form since the beginning of the 16th century, the center of modern culture is located. Since 1991, the Museum of Modern Enamel has been organized in the fortress. Camie de Ronda bypass
It became possible to discover the beauty of Salou along the Camí de Ronda bypass road. The road starts from the city center and stretches (2.4 km) along the beach from Pilons to Replanels. Along the entire length of the road you can admire the sea, small cozy bays, and the beautiful coastline. In some places the road rises to a height of up to 77 m above the sea. It's a little hard, but the pleasure of seeing the unforgettable surroundings of the east coast helps overcome fatigue. The road is equipped for hiking with small children. It has a beautiful wooden staircase and bridge.
Along the road you can go to Cavallas beach, Cap Salou lighthouse (about 5 km). Along the entire route, rocky areas give way to gentle paths. There are convenient descents to the bays.
