Farewell Moscow and hello... Abu Dhabi!!! Yes, yes, Abu Dhabi was our first stop. Flight on Etihad Airways with a connection in Abu Dhabi. And believe me, there is something to do at Abu Dhabi Airport: a large airport with a sufficient number of Duty Free shops, restaurants, cafes, recreation areas, smoking rooms, etc.
Night flight, and early in the morning we are in the Maldives!!! Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy and the islands didn’t look so colorful from the porthole, but it’s still breathtaking when you see something like this - a country consisting of small islands...
We are greeted by the TEZ TOUR MALDIVES office with traditional decorations and coconut milk - WELCOME TO YOUR ARRIVAL!!!
We cross the small arrivals area, where hotel counters and lounges are located, and board our first transfer - a comfortable boat of the VELASSARU MALDIVES 5 * hotel
25 minutes drive and welcome to the VELASSARU MALDIVES 5 * hotel. Great hotel with a cozy and friendly atmosphere! Stylish modern detached villas and bungalows, a home coral reef, delicious food and a warm welcome (although I must admit that we were warmly welcomed in all hotels, but this was our first experience) left extremely pleasant memories of this hotel in our hearts. The hotel is suitable for a romantic getaway for couples, newlyweds and for those who want to receive high service and take a break from the bustle of the big city.
In the evening there was a cocktail party with the hotel management.
And after that we went on a cruise on a local Dhoni boat to see off the sunset. But unfortunately, we didn’t see the sunset due to cloudy weather...
And the next day, not only a new hotel awaited us, but also a new type of transfer - a seaplane.
Ooooh, it was an unforgettable experience! How great it is to fly over the Maldives and look at the beauty of the ocean and islands from an almost bird's eye view.

The main feature of the hotel is the Haali sunset bar in the form of a hut, located next to the sand spit.
Imagine the picture - you are in the Maldives, at the Dhigali hotel, evening... you have a glass of cocktail in your hand, you are sitting on a swing at the Haali bar and watching the sunset... What's not cool? But we weren’t able to spend the sunset again - the clouds covered the entire sky. Moreover, we experienced a real flood that evening! It was raining like buckets, the water was knee-deep, but still everyone was happy and happy, because we are in the Maldives!
Yes, perhaps the hotel has every chance of becoming popular - new, stylish, excellent food, a large selection of drinks, an interestingly stylized bar, a beautiful lagoon...

Finally some sunshine! And everything immediately began to sparkle with bright colors.

A beautiful green island with its own highlights - the largest swimming pool in the Maldives (750 m2); a unique Thai SPA center “treetop” - treatment and massage rooms are located on a hill among the branches of trees and palm trees; a battler assigned to each number; a unique Thai restaurant, the products of which, down to the smallest detail, are supplied from Thailand; and a pleasant addition in the form of bicycles assigned to each room.

The very first hotel in the Maldives, located just 10 minutes from Male Airport. The island is crossed by asphalt paths, which is rare for the Maldives, so girls can take stilettos here).
A distinctive feature that other hotels do not have is a Russian language teacher. Yes, yes, exactly the Russian language teacher! Our compatriot (somewhat similar to V.V. Putin - look at the photo for yourself) teaches the hotel staff Russian! And this means that there are a lot of Russian tourists in this hotel!
Standard 5*, an established reputation, a wide selection of restaurants, many regular guests - all this allows the hotel to remain one of the most popular hotels in the Maldives from year to year.
AH, yes... and again the sunset. And our next attempt to carry it out...
That's the SUN! And an almost cloudless sky! AND SUNSET!!! And live music on the shore - saxophone and hang are playing... Bliss...
BUT! At the last moment, CLOUDS again covered the sky, and again we were unable to see the sun below the horizon.

Opposite the hotel there are 2 small islands: one for picnics, the other with a hut for newlyweds.

In addition, the hotel has a surf point (on one side of the island there are waves for surfers, on the other there is a good lagoon). The hotel hosts parties, discos, karaoke, etc.
And again, check-in for a domestic flight, 20 minutes of flight, 5 minutes on the boat and we are at the HOLIDAY ISLAND 4 * hotel
A wide lagoon, which has not been seen anywhere else, white sand, a long island. A hotel for a budget, relaxing holiday - there is nothing on the island except rooms, a restaurant and two bars. BUT! Hotel guests can, for an additional fee, use all the services of one of the most popular resort islands in the Maldives - Sun Island Resort&Spa. Every day (from 09:30 to 00:15) a free boat runs between the hotels, the sailing time is about 5 minutes.
The neighboring hotel SUN ISLAND RESORT & SPA 5 *I don’t think needs any special introduction. It’s very famous and popular on the Russian market! However, a few words should still be said about him. The hotel is located on a large island with paved paths, a large selection of sports activities and entertainment in the evenings (discos, live music, crab racing, feeding stingrays and sharks, etc.). By the way, we saw the feeding of stingrays and sharks for the first time at the SUN ISLAND RESORT & SPA 5 * hotel
The standard and superior rooms are very simple. An affordable hotel for active recreation.
In the morning the weather deteriorated again. The rain poured down in buckets, the ocean was rough, but we bravely went to the next hotel. Oh, what a ride! We have never experienced such extreme sports during our infotour! Even the boat captain and his crew put on life jackets. We jumped on the waves like on a ball. The rain poured into the cracks (luckily it was warm). Everyone held on tightly to whatever they could. And so we swam for an hour... How I already wanted to go ashore! And finally HE is the LILY BEACH RESORT & SPA 5 * hotel with its famous Platinum Plan meals. We dried off a little, warmed up and went to lunch. And there’s just so much there - sushi, rolls, various meats, salads, tom yum soup!!! And all this on a buffet! Yes... it’s not for nothing that the hotel is famous for its cuisine. And what a program of events they gave us! But everything is in order!
First, cheese and wine tasting. Chef Monsieur Lionel himself met us and was our guide in the world of cheeses and wine. All cheese is supplied to the hotel directly from France, which makes Monsieur Lionel very proud.

And after all this cheese and wine disgrace, we went on an evening fishing trip. Of course, they didn’t catch the blue marlin, but they didn’t return empty-handed either.

And that is not all! We quickly changed clothes and went to dinner. And there…. The chef and the entire culinary team “killed” us on the spot! Judge for yourself - shrimp, langoustines, crabs, lobsters, oysters... and for dessert - a handmade dessert.
Well, and also - feeding sharks and a bodu-beru show...
Despite the fact that it rained heavily in the evening again, nothing could spoil our mood after such a day!
Yessss, LILY BEACH RESORT&SPA 5 *put not a period, but an EXCLAMATION MARK at the end of our information tour. True, we didn’t know about this yet. After all, the next day, before flying home, we had one more hotel left - ADAARAN CLUB RANNALHI 4 *.
And the day started out in the best possible way - the sun was shining in the morning. Those who got up early managed to swim and sunbathe, but by 10 o’clock in the morning the weather was already like this:
And a few minutes later it began to rain again and the wind rose.
Fortunately, the seaplanes did not cancel their flights, and after kissing the management of the LILY BEACH RESORT&SPA 5 * hotel,
we went to Male.
Having arrived in Male, it became clear that we would not be able to visit the ADAARAN CLUB RANNALHI 4 * - rain, wind and waves interfered. And we still had 3.5 hours before check-in for our flight began. The TEZ TOUR MALDIVES office suggested a walk around the capital - Male, which we gladly agreed with, because Male is one of the smallest capitals in the world! We went on a local boat, Dhoni, to Male. We landed and found ourselves in a real anthill! No joke - the population is about 100,000 people on an area of 5.8 km 2! Believe it or not, despite the fact that Male is about 2 km long and about 1 km wide, local residents move around the island on bikes and cars!!! We saw the Great Mosque,
presidential palace, ministry of internal affairs, central square,
visited the fruit and fish markets,
and also in souvenir shops!
3.5 hours flew by! And now it's time to return to the airport...
How sad it is to leave! Time flew by! We don’t want to say goodbye, because we want to return to the Maldives again and again!
