Who can use the free ticket?

If the baby has not reached the age of five, then according to Russian Railways rules, you don’t have to pay for it. Each adult is entitled to free transportation of one child. If a child is between five and ten years old, then the Russian Railways children's tariff applies to him. And for those over 10, you will have to buy an adult ticket. But from September 1 to May 31, children over 10 years old are offered a 50% seat discount for travel on non-branded reserved seat trains.

How much will a child's trip cost?

It must state that this child (full name) is actually studying in a certain class and school.

A discount ticket can only be purchased at the railway ticket office, since this service is not yet available via the Internet.
