Types of tourism

Beach holiday

25 kilometers from the capital there is a wonderful place called Keelung, which attracts a huge number of tourists with its wonderful beaches. Taipei residents also often come here. The most pleasant beach with developed infrastructure is Chinashan, although you can easily swim and get a bronze tan in Kaohsiung, Hualien and Kenting.

Ecotourism

It just so happened from ancient times that the small island is divided into two climatic zones, which became the reason for such a wide variety of flora and fauna. At the moment, almost a fifth of Taiwan is allocated by the government to protected areas: national parks, nature reserves and wildlife sanctuaries. Today, the largest natural museums are six national parks: Yushan, Yangmingshan, Taroko, Sheiba, Kenting and Kinmen. Scientists, with the support of the government, conduct numerous studies here and create recreational areas. Each national park has its own center, which reports directly to the Department, so entry of tourists is possible only after presenting permission from the local police.
The most interesting protected area is Yushan Park, which includes mountain ranges reaching a height of three kilometers. The peak is the mountain of the same name. By the way, the highest point in all of Taiwan. The slopes of the mountain ranges are covered with untouched coniferous and broad-leaved forests, and the rocks themselves are made of schists and quartzites. Yushan Peak has the same pointed shape as the mountains in the Alps.
At the moment, the territory of the national park is 105 thousand hectares, where numerous mammals have found refuge, in particular the Formosan muntjac, black bear and serow. The second largest national park is Yangmingshan, which is located near the capital. Its territory includes the western part of the Datun volcanic ridge. These scenic spots were originally called the Green Mountains, but were later renamed by Chiang Kai-shek as part of his favorite 15th-century Chinese poet. Many citizens come here every weekend to take a break from the bustle of the capital. Particularly popular are the Matsao springs, located at an altitude of six hundred meters. It always feels cool here, even on the hottest days.
Yangmingshan has become a place of sorts of pilgrimage for flower lovers - numerous gardens bloom in all colors already in February; Azaleas and cherry trees have been delighting residents and visitors of Taiwan for almost two months.

Tourists should definitely visit Taroko, a canyon carved into the rocks by the waters of the stormy Liu. The entrance to the gorge, which is almost 20 kilometers long, is designed in the form of a traditional Chinese gate. In general, the gorge is dotted with several dozen tunnels, which can be entered just a kilometer from the village. The canyon ends with an amazing man-made waterfall, created here in memory of the 450 dead builders of the Taroko Highway. Here you can climb the nearby mountains, the height of which often reaches several kilometers.
Sheiba National Park is the largest area that has not experienced the nuisance of human intervention. The central part of the reserve is occupied by two mountain ranges - Seshan and Tabajian - the slopes of which are covered with virgin coniferous and deciduous forests. Here, as in Taroko and Yushan, many large mammals found shelter.
Located in the south, Kenting is for the most part not a nature reserve, but a resort village that became famous in tourist circles after 1982, when the only tropical reserve on the island was founded on these lands. At the moment, from a territorial point of view, the reserve consists of two almost equal parts: the Kenting recreational closed area and Sheding Park. The reserve is also distinguished by the fact that it borders on land only from the north. The water environment consists of the Pacific Ocean, western Taiwan and southern Bashi Strait. Kenting occupies almost 18 thousand hectares of the island and 15 thousand hectares of water area. The national park is, in fact, the most attractive, unique and magical place in all of Taiwan. It seems that the Seer himself created this place of worship for millions of locals and tourists. The first tropical reserve, the only one that captures the sea.
Kinmen has the function of protecting cultural heritage. For quite a long time, these lands remained in the possession of China, so the buildings and structures remained for the most part in their original form. Even the natural landscape remains the same as it was several centuries ago. Currently, Kinmen National Park includes 163 villages built in classical Chinese style: houses, temples and other architectural delights of the Fujian province. Also located here is Lake Zu, located in the park part of Kuningtou. A large number of migratory birds stop here every year.

Tracking

For trekkers, the greatest interest in the central part of Taiwan is Lake Taichung, the picturesque surroundings of which annually receive a large number of tourists from different parts of the world. There are many routes here, one of which leads to Mount Maolan. The road starts directly opposite the bus station and is divided into two parts. The first ends at a station for researching the properties and varieties of tea. During the climb of just 90 meters, one passes by the tea plantations where the famous Assam is grown. The second section is much steeper - another 150 meters up - but has a shorter length, ending at a meteorological station. In total, the route lasts 4.6 kilometers.

For lovers of historical places, the 1.5-kilometer route starting near the Handi Palace is better suited. The organizers envisioned a pier as the final point. Along Chiang Kai-shek's favorite road, you will pass the shoreline of the lake, which offers picturesque views of the clear water surface and ancient forests.
The shortest route (Solonopun) takes only six hundred meters. Previously, this was the shortest road to Puli, but now here everyone can endlessly enjoy insects, plants and small animals. At the end of the journey, a fishing farm awaits everyone.
Tourists can also visit the Dachuhu site, where black-necked and little egrets nest, Tzuen Pagoda and the classical Shao settlement of Totinai.

Diving

At first glance, Taiwan is not one of the countries that comes to mind when you think of scuba diving. At the same time, the island water area attracts many with its clear waters, where visibility is up to 20 meters. In practice, Taiwan turns out to be the most attractive destination for divers in Southeast Asia. The island invites all divers to the developed sites near the Green Islands, the coral reefs of Chungliao and eastern Taiwan and the southern tip of the state, which is part of the Kenting National Park. It is also worth paying attention to the islands of Penghu and Lanyu, which are 80 kilometers from Taiwan. Please note that you can only get to the green islands by plane or ferry, so diving here cannot be called cheap.

Surfing

When it comes to surfing, Taiwan is even less associated with diving. However, the island offers everything you need to practice this exciting sport. Most of the surfing areas are located on the eastern tip, although there is a rocky coastline. The sports season here lasts almost all year round, except during typhoons. Most often, athletes come to Wu-shi Harbor and the beaches of BashienDong, Cheng-Gong, Chunan, Dashi, Dock Bay, Donghe Rivermouth, Fongbin, Fulong, Gongs, Houbihu, Jia le Shui, Jici, Jin San, Longman Penghu, Nan Wan, Queens Head, Shoaow, Sun Yat Sen

Volcanoes

The island is a place of seismic and volcanic activity, although most of the volcanoes are considered extinct. The vents are concentrated in northern Taiwan in the Tatung mountain range. Two dozen volcanoes belong to Yangmingshan National Park. Most of the craters are filled with water. Some lakes are adjacent to waterfalls, others were formed as a result of a lava dam that blocked river flows. The largest lake of this type is located between the Chisin and Tatun mountains, although there is no water there anymore. As a result of many years of erosion, the southern edge collapsed and the water flowed away. Today, the bottom of the ancient lake is used for agricultural purposes.

Even in our time, you can observe echoes of Earthly life: hot springs and fumaroles - in total, there are a damn dozen such areas in the reserve. There are also gushing springs in Taroko National Park.
33 kilometers from the main island there is a small above-water area of volcanic origin with an area of only 16 square kilometers. Its coastline is extremely rocky, where each peak has its own name, such as Sleeping Beauty.
Southern Taiwan has excellent fishing spots and private fish farms. In addition, there are several golf clubs in the vicinity of the capital.

  • Almost no one knows English
  • Some food is very exotic and even unpleasant for Europeans
  • A little boring for some, not enough night entertainment
  • It’s hard to breathe in big cities, the air is polluted

Climate

The climate in the country is subtropical in the north and tropical in the south. Winters are mild, short, without snow. Summers are very hot and humid, with very heavy rainfall in May and June. In mountainous areas, the most precipitation falls in winter.

Taipei

Taipei is the capital of Taiwan, a very popular tourist destination, a densely populated and extremely interesting city.

Attractions

The main advantage of the capital is its numerous attractions. Little evidence of the Qing Dynasty has survived, only the northern city gates, and in general the city is not ancient, but modern and dynamically developing.

Mostly tourists come to see the Taipei 101 skyscraper - it has exactly one hundred and one floors, and together with the spire, the height of the building is almost half a kilometer. The elevators travel in the building at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour. There is an observation deck on the 89th floor, which offers excellent views of the city.

Another important attraction is the memorial to Chiang Kai-shek, the former president, built in the shape of a pagoda. Another memorial, Sun Yat-sen, is also popular with tourists.

You should definitely visit the Imperial Palace Museum, or the Gugong Museum (not the one in Beijing). It houses artifacts reflecting Chinese history from ancient times to the present day. You will be able to see works of art, clothing, ancient books, etc. Another remarkable museum is an artistic one, beautiful both outside and inside.

You can enjoy the atmosphere of the capital in the Ximending area - this is the most youthful and fashionable place, as well as the center of Japanese culture.

But much more interesting are the city temples, for example, the 18th-century Longshan Temple or the 19th-century Baosan Temple.

If you are looking for where to relax in Taiwan with children, then be sure to visit the Taipei Zoo - its official territory is 90 hectares, but in fact it is larger and is divided into several zones with rare animals.

Shopping

The main shopping is concentrated in the night markets. The largest of them is the Shilin Market, where they sell clothes and food. The Xinyi shopping area is also popular with tourists. The Snake Alley night market sells unusual goods, such as folk cosmetics and snake blood. Tonghua sells very beautiful souvenirs and clothes. But it’s best to buy small change as a souvenir at the Ningkhia night market - prices here are slightly lower, and the atmosphere is especially cozy.

Kaohsiung

A city in the southwest of the island, a major seaport popular with tourists, with beaches, modern attractions and shopping opportunities.

Beaches

Kaohsiung offers tourists several swimming spots. Qijin Beach with black sand is interesting, as well as the coast in Xizu Bay near Longevity Mountain. The beaches are equipped with sun loungers, but they can be very crowded, especially on weekends.

Attractions

There are not many ancient monuments left here, but the architecture of the city still attracts attention. The Temple of Three Phoenixes is very beautiful with gilded cones (Buddha Mountain) and images of Buddhas in a lotus flower. Tourists also like to visit the Kaohsiung Temple, dedicated to the god of war Guan Gong, Confucius and the Jade Emperor. The temple has very beautiful ceiling paintings. In the center of the city stands the Temple of the Kings of the Three Mountains, with statues of the brother kings.

Among the fairly ancient monuments, one can note Fengshan - the city wall, which began to be built in 1772.

The classic British style British Consulate building has been preserved since the colonial era and is open to visitors.

The natural attractions are also very beautiful, both in Kaohsiung itself and in its surroundings. You can stroll through the large Central Park with areas of forest, children's playrooms, a swimming pool, a library and an environmental exhibition. The River of Love, Ai-he, flows through the entire city, along which excursion ships sail.

One of the most remarkable places is Longevity Mountain, from which you can see Taiwan Bay and the entire city. The slopes of the mountain are built up with temples and terraces, and Taiwanese macaques, who are not at all afraid of people, live on them.

A little north of the city is Lotus Lake - a very beautiful place, in the vicinity of which there are pavilions and magnificent temples and pagodas.

The city also offers active entertainment, such as the Caribbean-style Blue Lagoon water park. With children, you can go to the zoo on Mount Shoushan or another, on Mount Foguangshan, where animals calmly roam around the territory (except for bears and tigers, of course). Locals and tourists also love to relax in the park on Lake Chengqing, where you can go fishing, boating or play golf.

Shopping

Shopping is mainly concentrated at the Liu Ho night market, where they sell mainly drinks and snacks, although you can also buy interesting souvenirs. If you want a more classic shopping experience, you can go to Chang Gu World Trade Center, a high-rise building with numerous shops. Also classic shopping centers include Dream Mall, Taroko Park and others - they sell everything from food and household appliances to clothing from world brands.

Tainan

Where to relax in Taiwan to see the most beautiful and ancient sights? Of course in Tainan, one of the most ancient cities.

Attractions

The main pride of the city is its numerous temples of almost all religions of the world. Of course, most of them are Buddhist, but you can also find religious institutions of other faiths. The Temple of Confucius, built in 1665, with a school, parks and gardens, deserves special attention.

The Heavenly Altar, Tien Tan Temple, in honor of the Jade Emperor, is very popular. Here in the sanctuary they predict the future and help people attract good luck. The 1718 Mito Temple, built in classical Chinese style in honor of the goddess Guanyin, is also worth a visit. The temple complex is very beautiful and colorful, with intricate designs and a golden statue in the center. Locals are very fond of the Temple of the Great Heavenly Queen from 1684, in honor of the Goddess of the Sea, Mazu.

The largest temple complex in the city is the Chaskha Temple, with a monastery, pagodas, parks and rivers. It is made in a traditional oriental style, with bright ornaments. And if you are attracted to the paranormal, then visit the Eastern Mountain Temple - where spirits predict the future for guests. And the building is decorated in a very unusual way.

You can see more than just churches in the city. An interesting architectural structure is the crescent-shaped Great Gate, which houses a huge collection of clay tablets - a real “library”. You can also visit the Chikan Tower, built by the Dutch to control the city.

For cultural recreation, the city has museums, of which the most notable is the Museum of the Hero of Taiwan Zheng Chenggong.

Shopping

The city has many shopping opportunities, mainly in markets, although there are also many large shopping centers, for example, Hayashi Department Store, Shinkong Mitsukoshi Mall, T.S.Dream Mall and others.

If you are attracted to Asian shopping, then be sure to visit the night markets: Garden Night Market, Wusheng Night Market and others, where they sell food, souvenirs and other interesting, including very unusual, goods.

Fulong

Beaches

Fulong is one big beach with golden sand and calm sea. A train runs to the beach every day, so you can get there without spending much money. The place is well suited for a family holiday - the sea is shallow, the entrance to the water is gentle. The infrastructure on the beach is very developed, there are sun loungers and umbrellas, there are supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and clubs around. For lovers of activity, there are opportunities for sailing, windsurfing and other water activities. There are also water attractions for children and adults.

Attractions

There are not many attractions here, but you can see the ancient seaside town of Dunshuey, the 17th-century Spanish fort of San Domingo and a 19th-century hospital.

Henchung

Where to holiday in Taiwan if you like wildlife and tropical beaches? The ideal place for this would be Henchung - a resort near Kenting National Park with luxury hotels and white sand beaches.

Beaches

The resort has many “wild” beaches without infrastructure. But tourists like the amazing corals, visible even from the shore, much more. This opens up great diving opportunities.

Attractions

The attractions at the resort are mainly natural. The main place is Kenting National Park - an amazing tropical forest with rare animals and plants. It is better to walk through it with a guide, as it is very easy to get lost in the park. The park also hosts entertainment and music festivals at any time of the year.

Another eco-attraction is the "vacation farm" where tourists can experience farming.

Henchun has several interesting architectural structures - the city walls and the Temple of the Queen of Heaven from the 19th century.

We talked about the most popular resorts briefly. Andrei Pankratov highlights some interesting moments from visiting Taiwan in his program “Man of the World” - we invite you to watch his report about this amazing country:

Souvenirs

You can bring quite interesting souvenirs from Taiwan:

Green tea

The best option would be green tea - many note that it is almost the most delicious in the world. This is a convenient souvenir that is easy to take with you

Alcohol

You can bring unusual alcohol - liqueurs or an unusual snake tincture with a real snake in a bottle

Ceramic dishes and figurines

In Yingge and Taipei you can buy beautiful ceramic dishes and figurines

Wooden figurines and icons

In the markets they sell souvenirs made of expensive wood - figurines, icons, etc.

Silk products

The culture in Taiwan is Chinese, so traditional Chinese souvenirs such as clothes and silk products are also sold.

Decorations

A real treasure of the island, jewelry made from pink aragonite coral or cat's eye stone

Traditional souvenirs

There are also more traditional souvenirs - masks, fans, tea sets and dolls in traditional clothes.

Cosmetics

You can bring traditional medicine or cosmetics, but it is better to buy them in official stores, with all certificates

Visa and customs

To holiday in Taiwan you will need an entry visa, but obtaining one is quite simple. This is usually a visitor visa for one, two or three months.

Customs rules are quite standard - foreign currency can be imported and exported without restrictions, national currency can be imported and exported up to 40 thousand Taiwan dollars. You can import and export a limited amount of alcohol, cigarettes and perfume.

Transport

Taiwan has airports in 15 cities, and people fly by plane as often as they travel by train. The flights are very popular, so it's worth booking tickets in advance. The railways are also at a very high level - there are four classes of train, the first three are expensive, and the fourth is cheaper than buses, but very slow. There are also buses between cities, both private and public, usually inexpensive, flights operate both day and night.

In cities, too, mostly buses travel - in Taipei they run between certain zones, and you have to pay extra for each zone. There is also a metro in the capital, also zonal, with above-ground and underground lines. There are taxis almost everywhere, but often taxi drivers do not speak English, and it is better to ask the hotel to write the name of the desired place in Chinese.

In Taiwan, unlike China, they rent cars - all you need to do is have an international driving license and leave a deposit. Expressways are toll roads.

Money

The main currency is the New Taiwan dollar, which is divided into one hundred cents. Banknotes up to a thousand dollars are in circulation. You can only pay for purchases in local currency; euros and dollars are not used. Traveler's checks, preferably in dollars, and bank cards are popular - they are accepted in shops, restaurants and hotels.

Cuisine and restaurants

Taiwanese cuisine is an example of authentic traditional Chinese cuisine. Rice, vegetables and soy are often used, and rice porridge is eaten instead of bread. Tofu is popular, including an unusual fermented (fermented) version with a very pungent odor. They eat a lot of noodles and baked goods. Vegetables are pickled, dried and fermented, and served with various dishes.

Meat is also popular, people mostly eat pork and poultry, the rest is not cheap. Tourists like Taiwanese steak with noodles, Peking duck, sweet and sour pork and Ji Si Tang Miyan - chicken noodle soup. Sometimes the bird is replaced with frogs or insects - unusual, but very tasty.

Fish and seafood still play an important role - the Taiwanese love oysters and make fish soups. A very tasty and unusual dish is Xian Yu - small fish fried in peanut sauce. Elements of Japanese cuisine are gradually penetrating into Taiwan - sushi, sashimi and other fish dishes are sold almost everywhere.

There are a lot of exotic things here - they prepare dishes from the meat of snakes and dogs, insects, and algae. All of them are safe, but may be unusual due to the spices and strange taste.

They drink, as everywhere else in China, mostly green tea, without sugar. Herbal and flower teas are very popular, as well as local “pearl” tea with milk, sugar and cassava.

Alcohol drinks include vodka liqueurs, rice wine and imported drinks.

There are a lot of cafes and restaurants, and the expensive ones are not always good - many tourists like the famous Din Tai Fung dumpling shop, and some note that the food is very tasty and inexpensive in Taichung, in an ordinary noodle shop. So there is no point in visiting pretentious establishments.

Taiwan is officially a province of China, but the island republic is stubbornly pursuing independence.

Most of the financial support comes from income from the tourism business, and many plan their vacation on this Asian island. Why not - the trip will be cheap, but very exciting.

Best season to travel to Taiwan

Depending on the purpose of the trip to the island, you need to determine the season of visiting it:

  • if you are planning a beach holiday, then it’s hard to think of a better time than October and November - the air temperature fluctuates between 24 - 28 degrees above zero, the sea is warm, the humidity is low;
  • visiting sights and hiking in the mountains will bring joy and pleasure in October - this is the driest and sunniest month of the year in Taiwan;
  • Favorable months for relaxation will be December - February, when it is warm during the day, it is comfortable to swim in the sea, and it rains mainly at night and reduces the air temperature.

You should not go to the island in April and May - this is the season of active rains, which will not even allow you to go outside. And one more period when you definitely don’t need to come to Taiwan is the Chinese New Year holiday. Almost all restaurants, cafes and restaurants are closed, hotels are fully loaded with tourists, and the cost of all goods and services increases significantly.

The cheapest hotels on the island

Taiwan is a small country that can be explored within a month. There are 11 large cities on the island, and each of them offers tourists more than 600 accommodation options for their holidays. The island has recently become a popular tourist destination, so it is advisable to make your room reservation in advance. Things to consider:

  • the most convenient cities for tourists are Hualien, Taipei and Taichung - it is in them that you should choose a hotel and from there go to the beaches and sightseeing;
  • the cost of the cheapest room is 2,700 rubles per day, it will be double, with amenities and air conditioning;
  • maximum price for a double room – 12,300 rubles;
  • if you rent a double room with a sea view and meals, the lowest price will be 4050 rubles;
  • In each hotel, at the reception desk there are offers from excursion organizers - you can order any tour upon arrival.

Since Taiwan is a young republic, every vacationer will receive maximum attention and amenities. All hotel employees speak fluent English, the rooms are cleaned daily, and the service is indecently polite and “inconspicuous.”

You can get around the island of Taiwan using public transport or a rented car. But in the latter option, one nuance must be taken into account - the roads in large cities are so narrow that traffic jams, congestion and lack of parking are considered natural. Experienced travelers believe that tourists should rent a car only to move from city to city.

There are more than enough attractions on the island, but 7 main ones are highlighted in a separate list and are included in organized excursions. You can explore them on your own, but it is much more interesting to be in these places with an experienced guide who will tell the history of the attraction and the legends associated with it.

Watch the video about traveling to Taiwan:

Its height is more than 500 meters, construction was completed in 6 years, the result was the recognition of the skyscraper as an example of unique engineering. It has 101 floors and, being in an earthquake zone (Taiwan is completely included in it), is considered completely safe.

Engineers on the 92nd floor of the skyscraper installed a huge metal ball weighing 800 tons, which, when swinging, can dampen the inertia of the building. Thanks to this, even during a strong earthquake, the structure remains completely motionless.

Entrance to the skyscraper is free, but to take the high-speed elevator to the 89th floor you need to pay about 950 rubles - that’s how much a ticket costs. For this amount you can not only ride up/down, but also visit observation platforms, which offer stunning views of the surrounding area.

To the east of Taipei there is a small settlement called Wanli, where the Ye-Liu Geopark is located. Over hundreds of years, nature has created an open-air “museum” on the rocks - the sculptures “honeycombs”, “mushrooms”, “candles”, “queen’s head” amaze everyone’s imagination. There is also an observation deck in the park, which offers views of the East China Sea.

You can walk around the geopark on your own, but you must follow safety rules. The cape protrudes too far into the sea (almost 2 km) and in case of wind or storm there is a high risk of people being carried away into the abyss.

For tourists, there are fences in the form of a red line and ropes - crossing it is very dangerous: there are cases when guests disappeared in the waves even with a relatively weak storm warning.

It is located in Taipei, famous for its collection of ancient exhibits - there are more than 720 thousand of them! Paintings, porcelain sets, household items, weapons - they “tell” the history of the province of China and the life of the ruling dynasties. There are parks and squares around the museum; here you can take a great break from the city noise and explore the beautiful statues.

Before visiting the National Palace Museum, it is worth familiarizing yourself with the exhibits on display - this can be done on the official website. The fact is that in the museum some exhibition items are signed only in the local language and it is impossible to immediately understand whether they are worth examining.

Located 20 km from the capital of Taiwan, it covers an area of 11 hectares. Everything has been done here to attract tourists - hot springs with baths, a small hotel for a break from walking, cafes and restaurants serving national cuisine. A very interesting “attraction” - everyone is given rubber boots in which he can walk through the “water meadow” and collect a bouquet of calla lilies - they will immediately pack it and allow you to take it with you.

The highest point of the park is at 1120 m above sea level; it is impossible to walk along absolutely all the paths even in a whole day - the area is too large. Therefore, it is worth choosing one direction and moving clearly in that direction. In any case, there is a place for lunch and relaxation.

The name translates as “crystal clear,” but the Taiwanese call the lake the valley of lotuses—hundreds of these large flowers bloom on the surface. There is a large park around the lake, in which several temples are located. One of them was built more than a century ago and is dedicated to the god of medicine, Pasheng Tati. The park is spread over several small islands, which are connected by interesting zigzag bridges.

In Chengqing you can not only admire the beauty of nature, but also play golf, go fishing, and go horseback riding. There are also boat rentals - every tourist can make a mini-trip, and the rental cost does not depend on the hours of use of the “equipment.”

At one time, it was built in honor of the god of war Guan Gong and the thinker Confucius - this is such a strange combination of personalities that the locals worship. On the ground floor of the complex, the halls are dedicated to the god of war - here you can see not only exhibits, but also unique carvings on the walls.

The second floor is entirely dedicated to the philosopher Confucius, but there is nothing particularly interesting for tourists here. But the third floor of the complex is especially popular - it is a copy of the chambers of the Jade Emperor. There are frescoes on the walls, original ceiling paintings, images of dragons and a separate memorial. Everything is decorated with precious stones.

The most frequently visited attraction, which is a monumental structure guarded at the entrance by stone lions. Inside there is a Buddha hall, where images of all three Phoenixes are shown in different poses - sitting on huge lotuses, elephants, lions.

Entrance to the temple is free, but it is important to remember that in such establishments in Taiwan it is prohibited to take photographs, talk loudly and make noise.

In addition, in Taiwan there are memorial halls, temples, and zoos. You can go to the waterfalls - they can hardly be called attractions, but enjoying the beauty of nature and having a photo shoot will also be interesting.

Where is the cheapest beach holiday?

Beach holidays in Taiwan can be organized in two main resort areas - Hengchun and Fulong. There are clean sandy beaches, not far from which there are coral colonies. This combination of natural beauty and an almost year-round beach season attract divers from all over the world. There are schools for beginners on the coast - you can rent equipment and try yourself in this exotic entertainment.

You can also enjoy the sea and white sandy beaches on the Pescadores Islands, which are located between the island and the Chinese mainland. There are hotels and restaurants, various entertainment options, but the cost of a vacation will be slightly higher than in the two above-mentioned resort areas.

By the way, tourists can stay in city hotels and go to the beaches for a temporary holiday. And it’s very convenient and comfortable - you can visit the sights, do shopping in large cities, and have plenty of shopping even in the middle of the calendar winter.

Taiwan is a very interesting holiday destination. Here you can successfully combine swimming in the sea, visiting historical attractions, visiting entertainment centers, and shopping. The cost of the trip, coupled with expenses on the spot, is quite acceptable, but the impressions will be only positive. Moreover, from everything - from service in hotels and restaurants to natural beauty.

Historical mysteries, real treasures, to get inside all this splendor, you need to visit the country. Taiwan's tourism is pure luxury, echoing the divine splendor of deserted beaches and the diversity of big cities. The perfect combination of colors and the silence of the sea makes your vacation unforgettable.
