Where it's not hot in August. Beach holiday in August. Heading towards the shores of Turkey and Egypt

August is traditionally considered the most delicious month for a vacation: even on the Russian coast the heat reigns, leading to the velvet season in September. Late summer is the culmination of the tourist season in most accessible regions, including Egypt and Turkey. In this material, we offer several ideas for inexpensive holidays abroad in regions that are relevant for August.

Warm countries where in August you can inexpensively relax on the beach with children or alone

The list includes the most budget-friendly and closest countries: on the distant equatorial shores it is especially hot at this time. However, you can look at our lists of places, or - destinations such as the Seychelles, the Maldives or the Dominican Republic have been included there more than once. In the meantime, let's focus on five that are affordable and not so hot.

Hospitable Greece

August is the peak season in Greece, so the tourism industry at this time is busier than ever. At the end of summer, it is unlikely that you will be able to find a corner of solitude here, so an August holiday in Greece is suitable for those who are looking for excursions, new acquaintances and the hot sea. As in the continental resorts of Greece, so on the islands (Crete, Rhodes, Paphos, etc.), it is better to swim and sunbathe at this time in the morning and evening, when the sun is not at its zenith.

Fans of the cultural program should pay attention to the Festival of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, which is celebrated on August 15. This day is a holiday in Greece, so many institutions may be closed.

Cool and inexpensive in Bulgaria

Bulgaria is almost the same Black Sea coast of Russia, only more civilized and cheaper. As in most countries of this latitude, in August there is a special influx of tourists. But the beaches of Golden Sands, Varna, Burgas (we also have), Albena are enough for everyone. Unlike other destinations, in August there is no sweltering heat here: the air temperature reaches 25-26 degrees Celsius, the water temperature is three to four degrees lower.

Prices here are low, almost everywhere there are markets where they sell fresh fruit - peaches, grapes. But the main thing, of course, is the sea. It is clean here, just like the fine sand on the beaches. Perhaps Bulgaria is one of the most convenient countries for a seaside holiday with children.

Catalonia and islands in Spain

If you are looking for where to fly in August and your budget is not burdened with children, pay attention to Spain. Together with a rich cultural heritage and a developed entertainment sector, its Catalan and island coasts offer comfortable sea and gentle sunshine. From which, however, you will have to escape after noon and before sunset.

The Canary Islands of Eternal Spring are usually cooler than Barcelona or Mallorca. For those who want to combine a beach holiday with nightlife, it is better to choose the Balearic Islands. The Catalan coast combines sea swimming, entertainment and a cultural program. Lovers of quality clothing will be interested.

Popular and inexpensive Türkiye

Almost everyone has heard about holidays in Turkey, and many have been here more than once. It’s cheap and simple here: pay 400-500 dollars per person and spend a week in a comfortable hotel on the seashore with an all-inclusive system. In August, in Bodrum, Alanya, Antalya, Marmaris and other resorts in Turkey, the weather is suitable for sunbathing and swimming in the warm sea.

But it is better to do this in the morning and at sunset: in the afternoon, thirty-degree heat reigns in Turkey, so it is most convenient at this time to refrain from going on excursions, choose a hotel on the first coastline and escape from the midday heat in air-conditioned bars. However, many find this weather ideal for themselves, and Muscovites are not at all used to it.

Egypt with water parks

Together with Turkey, Egypt is usually considered as the most optimal holiday destination. Alexandria, Sharm El-Sheikh, and Hurghada in August, although marked by daytime heat, remain a popular holiday destination for tourists with children. There is all the infrastructure for family entertainment - water parks, diving, jet skiing.

In August it is also hot here, but the heat is felt less than in Turkey due to the drier air. In general, few vacationers in Egypt in August complained about the weather. Usually the forty-degree heat goes unnoticed under air conditioning, during water treatments and during quiet evening gatherings. Egypt is included in the list of places.

Have you noticed that the same air ticket can cost differently on different websites? For this case, we have come up with a system for comparing prices of more than 700 airlines and booking systems. Try it!

Hello, friends! August continues to delight us with new opportunities and a large selection of tourist destinations, however, we are not at all pleased with the high prices at the end of the summer season and the crowds on the beaches and resorts.

So where to go with children in August? You can, of course, go on educational tours, but still, in this last summer month, you want to stock up on the energy of the sun and water for the upcoming winter cold. Therefore, let's talk mainly about beach holidays.

As always, we will be helped to make a choice by analysts from travel websites, experts from the travel industry and data from services on the number of tours, air tickets and hotels booked for this summer by families with children.

Thus, according to Oktogo.ru and the children's search engine Quintura, the most popular destinations this summer for seaside holidays with children are Spanish, Greek and Bulgarian resorts.

Spain on summer holidays - beyond competition

Beautiful, attractive, welcoming, with beautiful beaches, Spain is still among the leaders and has been taking first place in the ranking for assessing the quality of beaches for several years now. This year, 571 beaches in Spain received the Blue Flag. Second place went to 408 Greek beaches and third place to (387 beaches and marinas).

There is another tempting advantage of holidaying in this country: although Spain is a member of the Schengen Agreement, it is very easy to obtain a visa to this hospitable country. The only thing you need to remember is that August is the peak time of the summer tourist season and you need to take care of your visa in advance.

With the same visa you can visit neighboring countries: Portugal, France and Andorra.

Barcelona

The city of Barcelona remains one of the favorite European cities among Russians. And it’s not at all accidental. It is difficult to find a similar place where there would be as many interesting entertainments for both the little ones and the growing children population.

In Barcelona you can visit interesting museums, for example, the Chocolate Museum or CosmoCaixa (a scientific and educational museum about space and nature), admire the singing fountains and architectural creations of Gaudí, take the funicular to the top of Mount Tibidabo and find yourself in a magnificent amusement park for children .

This amusement park added a new Ferris wheel this summer. From its height (500 meters) a panoramic view of the entire city opens.

Those who dream of getting to know the sights of Spain should definitely be pleased with the news that this summer it will be possible to get from Barcelona to Montserrat by tourist train in an hour and a half for 53.5 € and get acquainted with the sights of the monastery.

In addition, some Balearic and Canary Islands are included in this list, following the popular Catalan resorts.

For children, the best thing in Mallorca is the calm resort of Palma Nova with comfortable sandy beaches and the small town of Illetas, where families with children love to relax due to the lack of noise and large number of people. .

The main concept of this resort is “all the best for children,” which is confirmed by numerous children's attractions and entertainment. Just look at the famous Palma Aquarium - the largest in Europe.

August marks the peak of the tourist season, as all European resorts experience ideal holiday weather. It’s quite difficult to make a mistake with the weather, but you can overpay for a vacation quite significantly. Often tourists go to countries where it is very hot and too crowded, instead of choosing options that are more optimal in terms of price/quality ratio.

We conducted a small study, during which we identified the countries where Russian tourists plan to fly on vacation in 2019. Then we superimposed them on our own rating, which is based on an assessment of comfort, as well as weather and financial conditions. Here's what we got:

Here's where it would be worth going, according to our estimates:

Based on this data, we can identify countries where you should not fly:

  • Tunisia
  • Vietnam
  • Maldives

And, conversely, destinations that are undeservedly forgotten by tourists in August:

  • Croatia
  • Italy
  • Bulgaria

Beach holiday

Türkiye

Hot and clear weather is the perfect time for a beach holiday. Here you will find a huge selection of hotels for any budget, a fairly high level of service (if we are talking about 4-5* hotels) and good . The only things I can complain about are the too high daytime temperatures (up to +36), the gas chamber on excursions and the Turkish flavor.

Bulgaria

Bulgaria is attractive due to the low price tag for tours and the excellent price/quality ratio. Sandy beaches, warm sea, quality hotels, sunny weather and reasonable prices are what tourists need for families with children. In terms of weather conditions, everything is very similar to Sochi and Crimea, but Bulgarian resorts, unlike domestic ones, offer high-quality 4-5* hotels, where there will definitely be high-quality service, children's animation, a special menu and all-inclusive.

The only serious drawback is the weak excursion program, which is aimed at inexperienced tourists and children.

Crimea

Crimea continues to be imposed on television, but this does not make it any better or better. There really is everything for a good holiday: a therapeutic climate, sunny weather, warm sea, sights and excursions. But the mentality and financial crisis do not allow us to improve the service if the client goes and pays decent money. Therefore, when going to Crimea, we advise you to forget about claims about the service and enjoy the fact that you have the opportunity to go back 8-10 years in a time machine. But in August, the weather here is truly gorgeous, which will not ruin your vacation!

Greece

Greece seduces all tourists with its natural beauty, cuisine and beautiful excursions. The excursion program, however, is not always interesting and rich, but there is always the opportunity to choose the right direction. Those who want to travel a lot and actively should go to Crete, and those who love solitude should choose smaller islands (Kos, Corfu). The mild climate and short flight are popular with family travelers.

Cyprus

If you are only interested in a quality hotel, warm sea and sandy beach, the resorts of Cyprus are waiting for you with open arms. the island is quite sparse, but if you like to independently explore all sorts of antiquities, you will find something to do. Ancient temples, monasteries, Nicosia divided into two parts, Northern Cyprus (territory of Turkey) - all this can fill your leisure time. Hotel service is tailored for Germans and Englishmen, so the level of service is consistently high, as are hotel prices. The main disadvantage is the hot weather conditions. In August, the thermometer can approach the 40-degree mark.

Italy

In August, the beach resorts of Italy reach the peak of their attractiveness. Sandy beaches, water parks, amusement parks, pizzerias - everything you need for a carefree beach vacation. If you have extra free days, you can visit Venice, Rome or Florence.

Spain (Costa Brava, Costa Dorada)

The mild Mediterranean climate, European level of service, the richest excursion program in Europe, reasonable prices at resorts are the main reasons why Spanish resorts are in demand. In August, the water in the Balearic Sea reaches its highest temperature, so it is very difficult to find disadvantages in the Spanish direction. Perhaps the only reason holding back Russian tourists is the cost of package tours.

Tenerife

In August, Tenerife has comfortable, clear weather, and the water in the ocean warms up to almost maximum values. The island offers tourists ideal conditions for a beach holiday and the opportunity to independently organize their leisure time. Here you will find stunningly beautiful and diverse nature and a large number of attractions. The opportunity to see the killer whale show alone is worth visiting this island.

We recommend families with children aged 6 years and older to relax here, since at this age they already show interest in excursions, and there are a lot of them here and each one is more interesting than the other. The cost of package tours is off the charts due to the high cost of direct flights, but if you organize the trip yourself, you can find much cheaper options.

Exotic countries

If you like more exotic destinations, then you will have to be a little disappointed. Since August is not the best time to visit the Asian and Caribbean region.

The Asian region at the end of summer is very susceptible to monsoons and rains, so in most expensive resorts the weather is not stable. Relatively good weather in August can be found on and.

The countries of the Caribbean (Mexico, Dominican Republic, Cuba) are reminiscent of summer Turkey in climate, only there it is more humid and there is a high probability of typhoons and showers almost every day, which are replaced by very hot sun.

Everyone wants to have a good time on vacation at least once a year, it could be a beach resort or just a romantic trip to beautiful countries around the world. But it’s not all that simple, because a lot depends on where you’re going and when. It is better to go to some countries in June, and somewhere in the middle or at the end of summer. We'll see about it in August.

Beach, romance and green tourism

Of course, most people are going to go to the sea, and this is not surprising. After all, what could be better than basking on the warm sand under a light sea breeze. For many, this is the best vacation. As for August, this month you can travel to many countries, for example, Tunisia or Egypt, Turkey or Greece, as well as Bulgaria. The choice is very large. If you love so-called green tourism and everything connected with it, you can visit the eastern and western shores of Crimea. Here you can find not only a lot of lush greenery, but also a lot of interesting activities, such as diving or windsurfing. Active holidays can be alternated with romantic ones. At any resort there are cozy places where you can spend time with your loved one. In Crimea these are quiet shallow bays, and in Greece there are sandy beaches with emerald clear water, in which you can see a wide variety of exotic animals. Of course, you already know that August is considered the most favorable. This is due to the fact that it is no longer so hot, and the water is warm enough to relax with children.

Where is the best place to relax in August, or TOP places

Many tourists would like to see a visual list to guide them when choosing a resort. Let's try to put it together. If you are an amateur, we strongly recommend visiting Greece in August. Montenegro will also please you at this time. As for Turkey, you will not see any difference between August and July; it will be equally hot here. In fourth place is rightfully Tunisia, which has become very popular in recent years. August is the “golden season” and there are a lot of vacationers. But you should pay attention to the fact that prices this month are very, very high. This is the so-called tourist peak. If you go to the same place, but in September, you can save up to 20% of money, although your vacation will no longer be so bright.

If you are a lover of various excursions and festivals, then you can travel around Europe endlessly. These can be a wide variety of countries, for example, Portugal or Italy, Greece or Spain. There really is something to see in these places. For example, you can visit various museums or get acquainted with the historical sights of cities. As for romance or holidays with children, Paris, Montenegro and the Scandinavian countries are considered ideal places. Of course, this is not a complete list, but you already know what to follow.

Holidays in Tunisia in August: advantages and disadvantages

This month the sea is incredibly warm. The temperature does not drop much at night, which makes it possible to swim in the sea around the clock. August is the imperial month for holidays in Tunisia. This month the nights are very long, so you can fully enjoy all the variety of entertainment. Here you will find not only a sandy beach with azure waters, but also festivals that are held throughout the holiday season. You can enjoy open-air performances by jazz artists, and classical music is also very much appreciated. Therefore, if you are not only a fan of basking on the beach, but also respect classical music, then be sure to come to this paradise.

During the daytime the temperature does not drop below 35 degrees Celsius, be prepared for this. You will definitely get a beautiful tan, but if you stay in the shade from 11 to 3 o’clock in the afternoon, you will be able to avoid sunstroke. Of course, holidays in Tunisia in August are famous for their nightlife. Restaurants, bars, strip shows and much more await you in this unforgettable place. Be sure to visit at least one sushi restaurant on the waterfront, where you will not only find a wide variety of dishes, but also very tasty food. As you can see, you won’t be bored in Tunisia, so pay attention to this destination.

Seaside vacation, or How to get everything from your vacation

There's nothing worse than a wasted vacation. That is why it is better to fly to the south, where you can always relax thoroughly. However, here you will definitely encounter a problem, which will be the complexity of choice. You can go to Bulgaria, Montenegro, Egypt or Turkey, because all these places guarantee you a good holiday. Be guided by your budget. If money is limited and you are looking for a budget trip, then go to Bulgaria without hesitation. It should be noted that seaside holidays in August are the most expensive, so be prepared for the fact that housing and food will be expensive. At this time, almost all popular resorts raise prices by an average of 15% -20%, as an influx of tourists is expected. Turkey will cost the most this month, while Greece, Montenegro and Egypt are slightly cheaper. Although a lot also depends on how and how much you are used to resting. As for Crimea, a seaside holiday here in August will be delightful, but again the price is steep. For the same money you can fly to Greece for a week and at the same time stay in a 3* hotel.

Let's go on holiday to Greece

In recent years, this direction has become extremely popular. This was influenced by several factors. Firstly, the prices here are reasonable. As noted above, they are almost similar to the Crimean ones, only the difference in the quality of recreation is big. In Greece, the service is at a higher level, and the beaches are much better looked after, even if they are free and do not belong to any of the hotels. It's worth coming here for the wonderful sea, which is crystal clear and incredibly warm at the end of summer. During the day it will be hot here, so at lunchtime it is better to stay in a hotel or somewhere in the shade.

The most popular islands are Rhodes, Corfu, etc. Lovers of beautiful nature will love Corfu, as this island simply surprises with its landscape and is one of the most beautiful places on the Ionian Sea. If you still don’t know where to go on vacation in August, then pay attention to the Filaraki resort - this is a paradise with lively beaches, the prices here are exactly the same as in Rhodes. You will be pleasantly surprised not only by the sea, but also by the many entertainment programs and sea activities that Greece offers you. You already know where to relax in August in this beautiful country, so let's move on.

Heading towards the shores of Turkey and Egypt

Let's start with Turkey. A lot has been said about this resort, both good and not so good. We will look at both the advantages and disadvantages of summer holidays in this country. I would like to say right away that in August you cannot count on any discounts. At this time there are a lot of tourists here, so prices for everything are extremely high. It is very hot here all the time; it is recommended not to swim at lunchtime, since even in the water you can easily burn. Remember to use sunscreen and try to stay out of the open sun as little as possible. In principle, here you can have a good rest in August. In Turkey you can also meet popular stars from the CIS countries.

As for Egypt, you can have a great time here too. In this country, in terms of service and entertainment, you will find almost the same as in Turkey, only the prices are 10% lower. There are a huge number of bars and restaurants along the coast, where tourists mostly hide in hot weather. The sea is very warm. At night the temperature does not drop below 25 degrees Celsius, so the water does not have time to cool down. Of course, it is quite possible to relax in Egypt in August and have an unforgettable time.

Budget holidays at the most popular resorts

What to do if you really want to go to the sea, but money is tight? In this case, you need clear cost control and savings. You already know where it is better to relax in August, but all these places are not the cheapest. However, with the right approach, you can spend very little and still have a great time. Bulgaria offers a relatively inexpensive holiday in August. The fact is that the resorts of this country are not yet fully developed, although over the past few years the situation has changed a lot. Since prices here are low, more and more tourists come every year. For about the same price, you can have a good time on the beaches of Croatia, although already in September it will be cool there, so this time is not suitable for swimming for children. Montenegro will cost tourists a little less. The climate in this country is mild and pleasant, there are a lot of tourists from Russia, and the people are hospitable. In principle, you can have an inexpensive holiday in Crimea in August. The average price for a room this month is about 600 rubles, a day renting an apartment will cost you about 1000 rubles, and a week spent in an average hotel room will cost you 7000-8000 rubles. Although it’s difficult to say something definitely here, since prices, for example, in Yalta and Feodosia are very different.

You don't have to spend your entire vacation on the beach. There are many more interesting places that you should definitely visit. Just look at the Scandinavian countries. The climate in this region at the end of summer is the most favorable for travel. You should definitely go to Germany and drink real beer there, and when you visit France, you can take a photo with the Eiffel Tower in the background. Of course, there are those who like to visit the most unusual tours. Such people should go to Chile, Cuba or Peru. The beaches of Rio de Janeiro are simply magnificent, so lovers of sea holidays should definitely come here. It is unlikely that you will find coral reefs anywhere that are as captivating as in Peru. As for beach holidays in countries such as Spain and Italy, it is better to go here in August, as this is the most favorable time for sand, mud and sunbathing. There is no need to exclude the exotic, since at the end of summer there are very attractive offers for trips to Iceland, Norway, etc. Here you can enjoy natural wonders such as waterfalls, volcanoes, glaciers and fjords. It is also recommended to visit Argentina, Venezuela, Ecuador and Chile. These countries actively conduct excursions to the cities of ancient civilizations, for example, the Mayans or the Incas. Now you see that it is impossible to say unequivocally where it is better to relax in August. Much depends on what you like best: the sea, exotic, history and architecture, educational excursions or extreme sports. In many cases, you can combine several types of holidays.

How to organize a family trip

Deciding where it’s best to vacation in August with your family is quite difficult. The fact is that there are many nuances here. If you are going on vacation at the sea with children, then it is advisable that the shore be shallow, with well-warmed water and clean sand. This will not only give the child a lot of emotions, but will also protect him from abrasions, bumps and dangerous swimming. Of course, we must not forget that the attention of parents is the most important point. If you are looking for a good beach resort for your child, then Sandy or Spain are recommended. Here you can not only enjoy the crystal clear sea waters, but also find a lot of entertainment and attractions that are located on the coastline.

For travelers, a tour of the Loire castles, which are located in France, is suitable. At the same time, you will be able to see other sights of this country. There is also something to see in the fears of Scandinavia, in particular in the northern part. There are entertainment programs and many educational and simply interesting excursions. If parents cannot go with their children, then the only right decision is to send their son or daughter to the camp. The choice of countries is quite large: Austria, Germany, Bulgaria, Malta or Great Britain. It is quite possible that the child himself will want to choose the place where to go.

Conclusion

As you can see, spending time with family is not a problem at all. You can relax in Greece in August or visit Egypt. By the way, the Egyptians themselves usually do not vacation in their country at the end of summer. This is due to the fact that it is very hot here. For example, in Hurghada the temperature stays at 36 degrees, at the same time the water is heated to 28 degrees Celsius. Despite the fact that there is no rain at this time and the air is very dry and hot, the heat is relatively easy to bear, but you should not abuse the sun, as it is very easy to get sunstroke or get very burnt. You can also go on vacation to Cuba. At the end of summer there are quite a lot of tourists here, and there are also a lot of locals on the beach. Even though it rains here quite often in August, about 2 times a week, this does not spoil this resort at all.

Even if it’s already the end of August, you can find where to go on vacation without any problems. If you wish, take advantage of the offers of tour operators. Although now “savage” travel is becoming more and more popular. Here you get to the desired country yourself, live in tents, explore the surrounding area and just have a good time with your loved ones.

Volga region

A very economical and cool option for relaxation. The Volga expanses occupy a huge territory, comparable to the size of some states.

Wherever you go - up the Volga or down - you will in any case come across an interesting city with some wonder. Nizhny Novgorod with its unique topography, Kazan with its amazing combination of two cultures, Samara with its charming embankment, Volgograd with its memorial and museum complex. You can also visit Ulyanovsk, the homeland of Lenin’s grandfather, or Astrakhan, the homeland of those very watermelons that fill the shelves of all domestic markets and supermarkets.

In August, comfortable weather sets in on the banks of the Volga. And if it’s a little hotter near the Caspian Sea, then in other regions it’s almost like paradise: summer is already leaving, but, like a polite person, it wants to leave a good memory of itself - and gives fine, but not hot days. You can relax on the beaches, go hunting and fishing, walk along the cozy streets of Volga region cities and get acquainted with their history. Many local places are associated with the activities of great writers, artists and statesmen, so in the Volga region everything is in order not only with a beach holiday, but also with a cultural one.

Where to stay:

Krasnodar region

No matter how strong our desire to create an original list, the brand “Resorts of the Krasnodar Territory” is so oppressive with its authority that we are simply forced to yield to its pressure. And you can go to the Black Sea all summer, not only in August. The average daily air temperature here in the last summer month is +27 °C, and the water warms up to +25 °C. It is better to sunbathe in the morning, because by noon the air smells of fried heat. And we're not just talking about delicious treats in the cafe - it's just getting a little hot.

If you are going on vacation to the Black Sea with children, we recommend choosing not large resorts, but the villages surrounding them. There are a little fewer tourists there, but overall it’s quieter and calmer. Moreover, in such places, housing is rented mainly in the private sector - you can find a peaceful place.

Since the heat on the Black Sea in August has not yet subsided, holidays here are mainly of a beach nature. Going on excursions in such weather is not very comfortable, but if you catch a cool day, it’s still worth going to explore the local beauties. Climb into a cave, walk through a botanical garden, or go to local winemakers to taste their products.

Where to relax:

Abkhazia

This region miraculously intertwines clear seas, bright sunshine, natural beauty and historical attractions. Added to all this is the local flavor, which is created, among other things, by the owners of Abkhaz guest houses and other accommodation on the coast. They will do everything for you: they will provide you with accommodation, tell you where to go, and introduce you to the local cuisine. And the treats here are special, you won’t find them in other parts of the world: excellent wine, cheeses, meat dishes, a whole scattering of fruits, tea from local plantations and much more.

As for the beaches and the sea, here they are almost everywhere clean, no matter which Abkhaz resort you go to - Gagra, Pitsunda or Sukhum. The beaches are pebbly and sandy, for the most part well equipped, but there are also wild inclusions. All this is combined with ancient monuments created during antiquity and the Middle Ages. For example, the Kelasur wall, stretching for more than 150 kilometers, or the ruins of the fortress on Mount Satanjo, or ancient fortifications on the Aysra ridge. You can often find religious buildings, among which we note the Patriarchal Cathedral in Pitsunda.

Crimea

Crimea is good because you can rent housing here almost along the entire coast, within walking distance from the sea. And this applies to almost every resort. You have a choice of comfortable mini-hotels, comfortable guest houses and other options in the private sector. It makes sense to stay in small villages, where, compared to large and well-known resorts, a holiday in August will be cheaper.

On the eastern coast of Crimea, Sudak and Feodosia stand out. The beaches here are sand and pebbles, and the mountains gradually become steppe. If you want to windsurf, you can go to Cape Kazantip. And if you are attracted by ancient buildings, it is worth checking out the Genoese fortress in Sudak.

The southern coast of Crimea is the most famous and, one might say, promoted. However, not in vain. Alushta, Gaspra and Gurzuf have good infrastructure, tailored specifically for tourists. In the western part of the peninsula, Evpatoria stands apart, which is well suited for families with children. In general, the west coast is cheaper than others; you can always find a good price here, including in August.

To relax on Lake Baikal, tourists mainly choose the settlements of Slyudyanka, Listvyanka, Chivyrkuisky Bay and Olkhon Island. Another option is to stay in Irkutsk (from which you need to get to the lake) or in Baikalsk, located directly on the shore.

You can swim in the lake until the end of summer, but in many places the water is cold, so we recommend bays and bays (Chivirkuysky, Mukhor, Barguzinsky), where the water temperature reaches +20 °C. However, even if the conditions for swimming are not very good, the surrounding beauty will still not go away. On all sides, Baikal is surrounded by mountain ranges and forests, which will provide you with a lot of impressions and an excellent set of memorable photographs.
