Boeing 737 window location nord wind. Northern Wind airline fleet - age, how to buy a ticket, photo. Single class model overview

Nordwind Airlines was founded in 2008. The owner is the tour operator Pegas Fly. Base location: Sheremetyevo Airport (Moscow). Operates both charter and regular flights throughout Russia and to other countries. In 2017, 3,548,210 passengers were transported - this is the ninth place in Russia. The increase compared to the previous year was 98.4%. The average age of the fleet is 9.5 years.

Not all seats on an aircraft are equally comfortable, and each passenger has his own preferences when choosing. Therefore, when getting ready to travel, it is important to find out in advance how the seats on Nord Wind Airlines aircraft are arranged, which ones will be more comfortable, and which ones should be avoided if possible.

Nord Wind Airlines has the right to supply a flight with a different model than previously announced. In this case, the numbering of seats also gets confused.

Models and number of Nordwind airlines aircraft

Nord Wind has a fleet of 21 aircraft. Another 8 have been ordered.* 4 aircraft are registered with Nordwind Airlines, however, they fly in the livery of the parent company Pegas Fly.

  • Airbus A321-200;
  • Airbus A330-200;
  • Boeing 737-800;
  • Boeing 737-900ER;
  • Boeing 767-300ER;
  • Boeing 777-200ER;
  • Boeing 777-300ER.

Airbus A321-200

The North Wind now has 8 of these. It has a layout for 220 economy class seats. Business and the first are absent. The stated legroom is 74 cm. Individual multimedia devices are not provided.

  • row 1. No one will be able to recline the seat back on the passenger sitting there - since there is simply no seat, a blank partition has been installed instead. Therefore, there is somewhere to put your knees, but you won’t be able to stretch your legs. It can be noisy due to the nearby galley and toilet. Smells and constant door slamming will not add comfort. But those are the ones. those flying in the first row receive food earlier than others - and, accordingly, have more choice (some food and drinks do not reach the tail of the plane, since they are loaded on board in limited quantities.
  • seats F in rows 9 and 23. The backs in them do not recline. This is due to the location of the partitions immediately behind them. It will be uncomfortable to sit in this position for the entire flight, so these seats have a relatively low level of comfort.
  • rows 10 and 24(fully). The backrests are also locked in one position due to the need to provide sufficient distance for emergency exits. A consolation for passengers in seats D and E may be that there are two seats instead of three. If two people are flying together, then this is very convenient - they cannot be disturbed by a third person sitting next to them.
  • rows 11 and 25 are the most convenient. There are emergency exits near them, and therefore there is much more space for legs than in other places. You can comfortably recline and take a position close to lying down, without disturbing anyone. The table is not located on the back of the chair in front, but pulls out from the armrest. But it also has its drawbacks. Firstly, hand luggage can only be placed on the overhead bin, and never on the floor, due to the need for quick evacuation in case of an emergency. In addition, elderly people, passengers with disabilities, mentally ill, very overweight, people in a state of intoxication, as well as pregnant women and those traveling with children cannot sit at emergency exits, as they may have to push the door out - and this item weighs 35 kg, and help others leave the salon.
  • row 36, seats C and D(near the aisles). This is the penultimate row, so queues for the toilet will inevitably accumulate here. People may accidentally hit or push those sitting next to them.
  • row 37. Last. There is a partition behind it, so the backrests do not recline. There is also a toilet nearby - smells and sounds can be felt throughout the flight. And constant movement is also guaranteed. Therefore, the seats in this row are the least comfortable and should be avoided at all costs.

Other chairs have approximately the same level of comfort, so you should be guided by personal preferences - for example, someone likes to look out the window, while another person needs the ability to quickly get up (for example, to the restroom) without disturbing others.

Airbus A330-200

At first, only one such aircraft received the north wind (in July 2017). A little more than a year later, a second similar plane was taken. Year of manufacture - 2011. There are 279 seats - 24 in business class and 255 in economy class. The kitchen is located at the end of the salon, near the toilet and other service areas.

Airbus a330-200 economy class

  • Business Class. The seats are installed according to the 2+2+2 scheme. In front of each is a display, the controls of which are located on a wide armrest (including a table hidden in it). There is a lot of legroom. In addition, there are ample possibilities for transformation - the seat can be folded almost horizontally.
  • Economy class. Armchairs from France. The upholstery is fabric. Arranged according to the 2+4+2 pattern. Each has a personal entertainment system with a small display and control buttons. There is a retractable footrest. The table can be reclined either just for drinks or completely.

Boeing 737-800

Nord Wind airline has seven Boeing 737 800 wings (the most modern at the moment). All of them had previously flown for other companies abroad. The average age is 7.1 years.* The Boeing 737 800 Wingle Nordwind aircraft has a single-class cabin layout, with 189 economy seats, the pitch between which is about 75 cm. Business class is not provided.

  • 1 row. The legs will rest against the partition, but there are no people sitting in front, so no one will be able to lean back on the passenger. On the other hand, not everyone likes to look at the wall during the flight. The tables are located in the armrests. Nearby there is a toilet and a kitchen.
  • 2nd row, seats D, E, F. There is a little more legroom there than in front;
  • 11th row, place A and 12th row. There are no portholes. For those who like to watch landscapes, these chairs are not suitable;
  • row 15. There are emergency exits here, so there is a lot of legroom. But hand luggage is prohibited from being placed on the floor (only on the shelf), tables are provided separately and, in addition, certain categories of passengers are prohibited from sitting there. The backrests do not recline - there is a second emergency exit at the rear;
  • row 16 similar, however, the backrest can be reclined;
  • row 32- the most undesirable for any passenger. The backrests in it are blocked due to the wall behind the back. There, in the tail, there are two toilets, so the sounds of slamming doors and the flush tank will interfere throughout the flight. A line of people wanting to visit the restroom inevitably forms in the aisle.

Boeing 767-300ER

Nordwind has 4 of these middle-aged aircraft (the average age is almost 20 years). The total capacity is 304 passengers.

767-300 economy class

  • rows 1 and 2- Business Class. Legroom 127 cm;
  • row 3 rests against the partition, but there is a little more space than for other economy passengers;
  • row 16. There are toilets nearby, but there are only 2 pairs of chairs;
  • row 17 there is no need to choose. The backs rest against the toilet, it is impossible to recline them. Smells and sounds from the restroom are not the best accompaniment to a flight;
  • row 18. There is an emergency exit at the front (plenty of legroom), but also toilets;
  • row 19 close in characteristics to 18th;
  • row 39 worst. There are toilets in the back.

Boeing 777-200ER

Nord Wind currently has five such aircraft. The average age is 15.2 years. The layout is two-class.

  • 1 row- business class (6 seats, 2 in a row);
  • Economy class built according to a 3-4-3 scheme, it’s cramped inside;
  • in places 21H and 21K Plenty of legroom but close to restrooms. The same applies to row 45;
  • rows 39, 57 and 58 the worst. The toilets are behind them;
  • V rows 54-56 the outermost places (A, C and K, H) are installed in two;

Boeing 777-300ER

North Wind Airlines has two such aircraft in its fleet, with an average age of 12.9 years. The layout is three-class - 9 rows of business class (1+2+1), 8 rows of comfort class (2+4+2) and 24 rows of economy class (3+3+3). Total - 312 places.

Boeing 777-300er economy class

In the comfort class, the best seats are row 20 - there is a little more legroom. in front of rows 46 and 50 in economy class there is an emergency exit, but also toilets. Rows 60, 70 and 71 are the least preferred (toilets, tail section), but the AC and KH seats are installed in twos, not three.

check-in

Unlike low-cost airlines, Nordwind Airlines does not force passengers to register on the website under the threat of huge fines. You can go through this procedure at the airport. Check-in begins at least 3 hours before and ends 40 minutes before scheduled departure.

Online registration

This opportunity was opened in October 2017. The conditions are as follows:

  • time before departure - maximum 24 hours, minimum 1 hour;
  • flights from the CIS, Russia, Antalya;
  • the passenger does not transport animals, weapons or cargo on the seat;
  • no additional services are required (accompanying a child who is flying without adults or a person with disabilities, etc.);
  • there are no prohibited items in your luggage or carry-on luggage.

For charter flights and “Promo” group fares (economy, business, comfort), you can check in online only at the same time as choosing a seat:

  1. Enter the passenger's last name, departure date, ticket number and flight number in the appropriate fields;
  2. Order additional services (if required);
  3. Receive your boarding pass electronically.

Only the paper version is suitable for planting. It is impossible to present it on the display of a mobile device. Therefore, you need to print the coupon in advance on any printer, or apply for this at the registration desk, where the required document will be issued free of charge.

Selecting a location

Since November 2017, on all Nordwind Airlines flights, you can choose which seat to travel on exclusively for a fee - and, regardless of how the passenger checks in - online or at the airport. The price depends on the class (economy or business), direction (domestic flight or international) and distance. You will have to pay a minimum of 300 rubles (economy class, a flight within the European or Asian part of Russia, a regular seat, that is, not the first row, not seats at the emergency exit and not 2-4 rows in economy) up to 120 US dollars or 75 euros (business -class, long-haul flight, premium seat).*

Even if a passenger has paid for a specific seat, the crew commander has the right to transfer him to any other due to safety requirements. In this case, the seat selection service is considered provided and no compensation is paid to the passenger.

Nordwind Airlines has modern and reliable aircraft. They were produced by Boeing and Airbus, recognized market leaders. All aircraft are well maintained and provide comfortable travel at high speed.

And although North Wind is not a low-cost airline, you will have to pay for the right to sit in a specific seat, as is customary with budget companies, even if the passenger has already shelled out tens of thousands of rubles for a business class flight.

*Information is current as of May 2018.

The Boeing 737-800 is a medium-haul passenger aircraft, one of the most popular American airliners in the fleets of Russian airlines. Produced by Boeing Corporation since the late 1990s.

Some characteristics (from the official Boeing website):

  • Length - 39.5 meters;
  • Wingspan - 35.8 meters;
  • Height - 12.55 meters;
  • Cabin width - 3.5 meters;
  • The maximum capacity of fuel tanks is 26035 liters;
  • Take-off weight limit - 79015 kg;
  • Flight range is up to 5449 km.

Boeing 737-800 aircraft with vertical wingtips (winglets) have the additional marking W.

In Russia and abroad, aircraft of this model fly on both domestic and international flights, often serving the most inexpensive destinations, and therefore the question of the best seats on a Boeing 737-800 is especially relevant: those who are about to fly for the first time are also looking for information.

Boeing 737-800 cabin layout for different airlines

The choice of comfortable seats on an airplane always depends on the airline, since the layout of the passenger cabin is different for all carriers.

There are always 3 toilets on board, and they are located the same way: 1 in the front on the left side, 2 in the rear.

Aeroflot

Aeroflot uses a single layout on all its flights operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The aircraft are named after artists, poets and writers, and folk artists.

According to Aeroflot's seat plan for Boeing 737-800:

  • Each plane has 28 rows;
  • Business class - rows 1 to 5, 10 seats in total;
  • Comfortable Space+ seats are located on row 13, there are 4 of them - B, C, D, E;
  • Seats with limited seat backrest recline are on rows 11 and 12.

S7

The S7 carrier operates the Boeing 737-800 on several routes. Like Aeroflot, all aircraft of this type in the company are equipped in the same way:

  • The total number of rows is 30;
  • Business class - 2 rows, 8 seats;
  • Economy - 168 seats, rows 3 to 30;
  • Seats at the emergency exits in the center - on rows 12, 13, 14 (A, F).

Victory

Pobeda Airlines operates only Boeing 737-800 aircraft. There are 12 aircraft in total, they were produced in 2014-2015.

The first domestic low-cost airline takes into account all the pros and cons of seats in the cabin. The choice of seat is already at the stage of ticket registration, for a fee. And if you buy tickets for several passengers at once, the system will automatically seat them further away from each other if you do not pay for seat selection.

According to the tariff schedule, the best seats are at Pobeda:

  • Rows 1, 15, 16 - with increased legroom, for the same price and preferred seats that are located at the exits - rows 12-14 (only seats D, E, F), rows 17-18 (all seats);
  • Seats at the front of the aircraft - rows 2-7;
  • All seats are at the porthole (in the diagram - A, F).

Russia

On Rossiya Airlines flights, 4 types of Boeing 737-800 aircraft configurations are used.

The main differences are in the placement and number of business class seats. The number of rows depends on this - from 29 or 32.

Comfortable places:

  • At the beginning of the cabin - business class (12 seats in 3 rows) or 21 seats FRONT ROWS in rows 1-4;
  • In the middle of the cabin there are SPACE+ seats on row 16 (with increased legroom).

Nordwind (Nordwind, North wind)

Nordwind's fleet includes 6 Boeing 737-800 aircraft with a passenger capacity of 189 people each.

The scheme is common to all the company’s vessels. There is no business class, and the best seats (with increased legroom) are in rows 1, 15 and 16. However, the seat backs do not recline in rows 14 and 15.

Azur Air

A charter airline uses aircraft for international flights, mainly to resorts and popular tourist destinations.

The flight layout is as follows:

  • Number of rows - 32;
  • There is no business class;
  • Comfortable seats (AZUR Space, with increased legroom): 1st row - A, B, C; 2nd row - D, E, F; Rows 15 and 16 - that's it.

NordStar (NordStar)

Business class is always allocated on NordStar airline flights. There are two layout options.

  • The total number of seats is 172, rows are 31;
  • Business class - 10 seats in rows 1-3;
  • Total seats - 180, rows - 31;
  • Business class - 6 seats in rows 1, 2;
  • Comfortable seats with increased legroom (but the backrests are blocked) - rows 14 and 15.

UTair

Boeing implements two seat layouts on UTair flights - with and without business class (mono-class). In total, the carrier has 9 such aircraft in its fleet.

In the first case, there are a total of 159 passenger seats on board, of which 12 are business class (2 rows at the beginning of the cabin). Comfortable seats are also located in the common cabin: on the 12th row - with the distance between the seats increased to 99 cm, on the 4th row - 40.5 cm.

In mono-salons, the most spacious seats for legs are row 1 (58 cm), rows 14 and 15 (96.5 cm). It is convenient that the airline indicates this distance - most carriers do not have such information.

Yakutia

5 units of these aircraft are used on Yakutia flights.

  • The total number of passenger seats is 170;
  • Business class - 10 seats;
  • Spacious (legroom) seats in economy class are on rows 14 and 15.

You can only select a seat through online check-in, which is only available for domestic flights.

FlyDubai

The UAE budget airline's passenger fleet includes 40 Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

  • Capacity - 189 seats, maximum flight time - just over 6 hours.
  • Business class - 12 seats;
  • The best seats in the main part of the cabin (with extra legroom) are on rows 6, 15, 16.

Alrosa

Boeing 737-800 airliners are the basis of the passenger fleet of Alrosa Airlines, which is engaged not only in charters, but also in passenger transportation throughout Russia.

Distribution of seats:

  • Rows 1-3 - business class, 12 seats;
  • Rows 4-27 - economy class, 144 seats;
  • Opposite the emergency exits in the center of the cabin are rows 11 and 12.

Business class passenger service standard:

Boeing 737 800 NG is a new generation airliner. Designed for short and medium range flights. The maximum flight range is 5400 km. The airliner gained its popularity due to its great reliability, increased comfort and economical fuel consumption.

Northern Wind Airlines is one of the ten largest in Russia. As of July 2018, it has 10 aircraft of this class and uses them for the busiest domestic and international medium-haul flights.

Nordwind Boeing 737-800 cabin diagram

For the convenience of passengers, airlines have developed and use two types of cabin layout on Boeing 737-800. In two-class cabins, the total number of passenger seats is 160, of which 16 are business class and 144 are economy class. The all-economy cabin has 189 seats.

How to choose the best seats for those who are going to fly on a Boeing 737-800 of North Wind Airlines? Let's look at the interior layout:

Business class is the key to comfort in flight

The business class cabin of Nordwind Airlines has 4 rows of 2 seats on each side. These seats are the most comfortable on the plane. The chairs are wider, you can easily stretch your legs. Shaking, noise and turbulence are felt less. Passengers in this class are always the first to leave the plane.

Best Economy Class Seats

In the economy class of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft of Nordwind airlines there are two lines of seats with 3 seats in each row. According to the cabin layout, economy class starts from the 5th row in a two-cabin airliner.

The first row of economy class is the best seat for pregnant women and those flying with children. They are convenient because there are no seats in front and no one will lean back on you. Also, passengers in this row receive food first. Children and those who like to look at clouds or take pictures of the sky will most likely want to sit by the window. And for those who like to stretch their legs, it is better to sit near the aisle.

In a single-cabin Boeing, the very first row is also considered the most comfortable.

First row economy class

For those who get motion sickness in flight, it is better to sit in the wing area. These are rows 10 to 18.

The next comfortable places are rows 13, 14 and 15, of which the best is the 15th. Between them there are 4 emergency exits. As a result, the distance between the seats is very large; you can sit comfortably with your legs stretched out. But it is forbidden to place disabled people and pregnant women here. In the event of an emergency, the people sitting here will have to not get confused and open emergency exits. The downside is that the seat backs in rows 13 and 14 are fixed; they cannot be reclined so as not to block the exit from the plane in the event of an emergency.

Places near emergency exits

Advice for those who like to sit by the window: do not sit in the middle of the cabin, the view from the window will be partially blocked by the airplane wing. And there are 10 seats A and 11 A And F They don’t have a porthole at all.

Worst places - where you shouldn't sit

The last row is considered the most uncomfortable. Immediately behind it there are two toilets, and this is an eternal queue near them, not very pleasant smells, the constant sound of draining water and slamming doors. The backs of the chairs here do not recline, as they rest against the wall. The only advantage of these places is relative safety. According to statistics, passengers sitting in the rear of the aircraft survive accidents.

Generally speaking, places should be chosen depending on preferences. For people who like to read or sleep during a flight, it is better to sit by the window, these are seats with letters A And F. For those who like to stretch their legs or often get up to go to the toilet or stretch, it is better to sit near the aisle, this is - C And D. Pregnant women and passengers with children are preferred to sit in the first row. It is better for transit passengers to sit in front, closer to the exit, in order to get off first and immediately go to check-in for the next flight. For people with a phobia of air travel, it is better to sit in the middle seats between two neighbors - this is B And E.

Study the cabin layout in advance, choose the most convenient seat for yourself and fly in comfort on a Boeing 737-800. Have a good flight and fair north wind!

Nordwind Airlines (or “North Wind”) owns 8 Boeing 767-300 aircraft. However, only three aircraft can be found on the company's flights. The remaining 5 aircraft are leased to a partner company (Pegas Fly).

The following aircraft fly for Nord Wind: VQ-BPT, VQ-BMQ and VP-BDI. The aircraft are quite old and have worked for a number of airlines in America and Europe:

  • The VQ-BPT aircraft made its first flight in July 1995. I managed to fly for the following airlines: KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Zoom Airlines, ILFC and Flyglobespan.
  • The VQ-BMQ aircraft made its first flight in March 1996. Managed to fly for the following airlines: KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and North American Airlines.
  • The VQ-BPT aircraft made its first flight in April 2000. Managed to fly for the following airlines: Air 2000, GECAS, Aeroflot - Russian Airlines.

On the company's website you can see two options for cabin layout: 290 seats and 300 seats. Both layout options are two-class (business and economy classes). The 290-seat version has 39 rows, and the 300-seat version has 43 rows. The seating layout can be viewed at this link.

In our review, we will analyze the 290-seat scheme in detail.
Row 1 and 2.

The only two rows are business class. There are 12 such seats in total. For obvious reasons, these are the best seats on the ship. The distance between the seats is 127 cm.

Row 3. Boeing's first row of economy class. These are good places to book. The distance to the partition is slightly greater than the distance between standard rows. Plus, no one will lean back on you. The toilets are located at the opposite end of the cabin, so there is minimal movement and fuss. The only thing that can spoil the impression of the flight is the presence of a partition in front of the eyes.

The distance between the rows of seats in economy class is 74 cm. It turns out a little cramped.

Row 15. It is located in a very accessible place, as there are toilets nearby. Not the best places to fly. Row 16. Also located in a high traffic area, but the plus is that the chairs are in pairs.
Row 17. Bad places. The chairs rest against the wall from the toilet, which means the backrest is limited in reclining. There is also a constant crowd of people near the chair, waiting in line to use the toilet. The fact that the WC door is constantly opening will definitely cause odors from the toilet.
Row 18. Quite contradictory places. On the one hand, there is no row in front (due to the emergency exit), so there is a lot of legroom. On the other hand, there are toilets in front, and this is not good.
Row 19. The distance to the front row is slightly larger than standard, which means there is room to stretch your legs. The only thing is that the row is quite noisy due to the proximity of the toilets.
Row 38. Very similar to row 16. Located close to toilets. There is always a lot of traffic here, so the flight will not be calm.
Row 39. Some of the worst seats in the cabin. They have all the disadvantages of row 17. In addition to this, it is always colder in the back of the plane, and if the air conditioning is not working well, it is also stuffy. Not recommended for booking by people with poor health.
