Rosa Khutor. Where to go and what to do? Why you don’t need to go to Rosa Khutor! What to do in Rosa Khutor

People come from all over Russia and from other parts of our planet to relax on the Black Sea coast in Sochi. More and more vacationers prefer active tourism.

Agree, it’s stupid to lie on the beach all day long and swim in the sea, when there is so much beauty around, given by nature, so much purity of the mountain air and so many sights that it would be a shame not to see.

And now a ticket has already been bought at the railway station and the high-speed “Swallow” rushes among the picturesque Caucasian landscapes along a state-of-the-art road, taking tourists to Rosa Khutor. You can't help but visit here.

And take advantage of good advice right away.– do not buy excursions where a quick guide will run with you through two or three of the most famous places, rattle off his story with numbers, names of rivers and villages, give you half an hour to take photographs and take you back. You need to arrive at Rosa Khutor early in the morning and wander around here until late in the evening.

Believe me, there is where to go and what to see. The beauty begins here as soon as you step off the train onto the platform.

Train Station

This is where the mountain branch of the Sochi railway junction ends. The final stop at Rosa Khutor is located very close to the ski resort of the same name.

The modern and attractive railway station complex was built for the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Here you can find:

  • the spacious and bright two-story station is designed in the style of an Alpine chalet;
  • luxurious waiting rooms with exquisite design and free Wi-Fi;
  • cozy restaurants and cafes;
  • reliable and safe turnstile system;
  • shopping malls with Olympic and naval souvenirs.

All this is provided for a huge number of vacationers. After all, there are days when the turnstile system works at full capacity (and its access system is 8,000 people per hour).

When leaving the station, do not rush to the free shuttle that will take you to Rosa Khutor. Here, the walk to the center is only about a kilometer. Take a look around. Mountain ranges, with no clearing visible from the dense forests, surrounded this small place.

If the weather is not too clear, then cotton clouds hide the mountain peaks and it seems that they are about to descend to the ground. It seems that you have almost reached the clouds. Be sure to shoot, photograph, capture this beauty, you may never see this again.

My head starts to feel a little dizzy. Don't be alarmed - this is from the clean mountain air. In megalopolises and industrial cities, our brain gets used to the lack of oxygen, but here there is an excess of it, so we start to get a little dizzy from the unaccustomed state.

Alpika-service

Very close to the railway station there is a landing station for the cable car owned by Gazprom.

To ride the cable car, you just need to purchase a ticket and sit in comfortable, modern cabins that are protected from wind, snow and rain. First you will climb to an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level to the shelter "Fir Glade".

Experienced people ski, ski, and snowboard here during the season. There is a comfortable area for relaxation, with wooden benches and stump tables (from felled trees). Somehow it has already become a tradition to sit down at such stump tables and drink aromatic tea from thermoses, taken with you for a walk.

After drinking tea, resting a bit and warming up, you can continue further - go to the next height Psekhako.

At the Psekhako shelter there is a completely flat training track for children, as well as long slopes for extreme sports enthusiasts. From here you can contemplate the Olympic venues - long cross-country skiing and biathlon trails.

You can go down along another branch, admiring the picturesque views of the mountain ranges and the neat cottages of the Olympic village, where athletes from all over the world lived during the Winter Games.

Once downstairs, take a leisurely stroll along the embankment of the Mzymta River.

A mountain river flows noisily next to you, and on both sides of the river there are such beautiful and modern hotels, apartments, restaurants and boutiques that you feel as if you are walking through a small European city.

The architecture of the buildings is so reminiscent of Switzerland, the embankment is so clean and cozy that listening to people passing by, you can hear: “Guys, I’ve traveled a lot around Europe. Yes, compared to Rosa Khutor, she is relaxing. It’s cooler here!”

On the one hand, a walk along the embankment turns out to be incredibly useful - well, what can bring greater benefits to the body than walking, breathing clean mountain air and every second receiving a surge of positive emotions from the beauty seen around.

On the other hand, it is very rich. After all, you can look into boutiques and choose souvenirs and gifts for your family. What’s not here...

You will be offered:

  • taste and select Caucasian wines;
  • grape chacha;
  • cognacs;
  • various cheeses;
  • mountain chestnut honey;
  • armfuls of bay leaves and aromatic teas;
  • sets of Caucasian seasonings and spices - you’re simply lost in choice.

There are a lot of funny Olympic mascots, beautiful paintings of the nature of this region, crafts from folk craftsmen - in general, there are enough souvenirs for all your relatives, friends, work colleagues and even neighbors.

Walk back and forth along the Romanov Bridge, connecting Mzymtu Square and Rozu Square. There are also Mishkin, Barsov and Peshkov bridges. It’s so cool to stand on a bridge and watch the mountain river seethe beneath you, trying to break out of its banks.

Rose Square and cable car to Rose Peak

It is also called the Town Hall Square, since this is where this city building is located. It captivates tourists with its European splendor and luxury.

If you are lucky, you can get to some festival, forum or other entertainment event that is usually held on Rosa Square.

From Rosa Square you can take another exciting trip to the mountains. There is a cable car station here, buy a ticket and go up to the clouds.

As you rise, you will see the whole of Rosa Khutor, which will spread out in front of you, in full view. Make a stop at Rose Plateau, where you can walk and listen to folklore. And then be sure to climb Rose Peak, perhaps you have never been higher and never will be.

Walking around Rosa Square, you will definitely see a sign that leads to the path of health. You can walk along it even if you are wearing flip-flops or flip-flops.

Follow the indicated arrow, along the way you will see a small lake, in the summer there are many sun loungers around. A little further behind the lake there is a small observation deck, there are benches where you can sit and relax before heading on the health path. Here you will see a green stand, which indicates that the walking route begins.

This path begins along a mountain stream, which noisily flows into the Mzymta River, along small steps. There are three routes - along the small (310 m), medium (1630 m) and large ring (1970 m).

Choose for yourself how much time and energy you have. The medium and large rings have medium difficulty, keep this in mind when choosing. Read the rules at the stand, familiarize yourself with them and try to follow them during your walk, do not leave garbage behind you and do not destroy nature untouched by man as a souvenir.

The path has been trodden by human feet more than once; you won’t be able to get lost. After going up a little and turning over the first hill, a waterfall will appear before your eyes. It is small but very beautiful.

Go down and stand on the observation deck, the view is wonderful. From here begins a more serious climb of 114 steps. Overcome it, and you will be rewarded with the incredible beauty of untouched nature. Ferns grow all around, mountain streams roar vigorously, centuries-old moss-covered trees and boulders stand. Having enjoyed all this greatness, begin your descent back.

Cultural and ethnographic center "My Russia"

Going down and heading towards Rosa Square, you will see cultural and ethnographic center called “My Russia”. Be sure to stop by, even if it seems like you have no strength left. Here is all of Russia in miniature - 11 colorful houses, which are made in the architectural national style of various regions of our big country.

In this center you plunge into the Middle Ages. The majestic Kazan Kremlin with a small well nearby, Kuban with its thatched roof houses, the Russian north is represented in the form of log houses.

The stunning Moscow Kremlin and the Urals with its menacing big polar bear, slightly gloomy Siberia and bright Buryatia, gorgeous Suzdal and the Caucasus. It is especially beautiful here in the evening when the night lights are turned on.

This center was created before the 2014 Olympics to show foreigners the full power and greatness of the Russian state. But it wouldn’t hurt for us to get acquainted with the history, culture, and color of the peoples inhabiting such a huge country.

Indoor skating rink "Rosa Khutor"

There is an indoor ice skating rink in the center of Rosa Khutor. It is quite large and can easily host competitions in such popular winter sports in Russia as hockey or figure skating.

Those who have not yet mastered skiing and snowboarding can have fun here; the skating rink is open all year round. Just imagine how great it is - you came to the sea, every day under the scorching southern sun, and here you are completely immersed in winter, ice and cold.

You can easily rent skates or hockey equipment. If you made a lot of new friends on vacation, then organize a hockey team together, play and leave in your memory unforgettable impressions of excitement, fun and friendship.

Social and entertainment center "Galaktika"

Of course, after visiting Rosa Khutor, you can’t help but look into the Galaktika public entertainment center.

There is absolutely everything for those who want entertainment:

  • cinemas;
  • a grand indoor water park with many water attractions, swimming pools and Jacuzzis;
  • bowling;
  • a huge ice arena, which, if necessary, can be transformed into a concert hall.

Here you can have a great time with friends or alone. You can sit comfortably on the roof and drink coffee or have lunch while contemplating the beauty of the mountain ranges.
And what about the outdoor pool with mountain views? It seems that you can swim in it endlessly.

Panda Park

This is the highest ropes course in Russia. Here you can have a wonderful time with the whole family, plunge into Indiana Jones-style adventures with your kids, test your strength and nerves, take part in team competitions and show the will to win.

In real mountains, on trees, there are rope crossing routes, the height above sea level is 1350 m. The routes have different complexity and length. Bridges and rifts, steps and snakes, barrels and pendulums, parallel bars and climbing walls - this place will take your breath away.

And what about the 240 m long “Eagle Flight” attraction, which connects the two banks of the Mzymta mountain river? There is no more picturesque zip line in Russia yet.

The park has been tested for safety, there is special equipment, and experienced instructors will always come to the rescue.

Horseback riding and cycling routes

To make your trip faster, you can rent a bicycle. When going up the mountains by cable car, you won’t have to part with it; there are cabins specially equipped for lifting bicycles.

You can reach fascinating places that cannot be reached by car or bicycle by horseback. From communicating with this animal, all positive emotions received will double. The instructor will guide you along individual, sometimes unexplored routes.

Rafting

If your adrenaline is pumping, go rafting down the Mzymta mountain river on boats or catamarans.

Challenge nature and yourself, because from Circassian the word “mzymta” is translated as “mad river”. The rafting is not long, but not easy either, but how can it compare with the noise of a mountain river and cool spray. Such emotions remain in memory for a lifetime.

How much will such a fairy tale cost?

Well, now, probably, the most important thing for many is how much such a fairy tale will cost.
If you stopped, then you can easily leave the bus station by bus number 105. For those who rent accommodation in the city center, you can go to the Platanovaya Alley stop and take the bus here. New comfortable public transport costs 225 rubles, old – 112 rubles.

Those who live will get to Rosa Khutor along the same route. You can get there on the high-speed train “Lastochka” for 112 rubles. You will spend 1.5 hours.

To climb to the top of Rosa Peak by cable car, you will have to buy a ticket for 950 rubles, the same price as a one-time ascent and descent.

You can buy unlimited for 1,150 rubles and ride all day to your heart’s content. The cost of lifts at the Gazprom GTZ will cost from 650 to 1000 rubles, depending on the lift height.

If you are going to the water park of the Galaxy center, then a stay from 10 am to 11 pm will cost you 1,200 rubles per adult and 900 rubles per child, you will be able to ride the rides countless times, swim in the pools and take a jacuzzi.

There are plenty of options for lunch. The most popular McDonald's is located on Rose Square, prices here are the same as throughout Russia. Cozy restaurants and cafes will be happy to welcome you and feed you. Service at the highest level, amazing aroma of Caucasian cuisine and all this from 500 rubles per person, depending on what dishes you want to try.

Leave and definitely come back

You can talk about Rosa Khutor endlessly. You need to visit here. Do you remember when you were a child there was a program called “Visiting a Fairy Tale”? So after this trip you are left with the impression that you have been there. The small, seemingly toy town will take you back to the time when absolutely all of us were happy. Yes, here there is a feeling of complete human happiness.
And if your magical journey has come to an end, do not be upset, because now you will definitely return here again and again.

Rosa Khutor is a ski resort created specifically for the Winter Olympics held in Sochi in 2014. People from all over the country and beyond flock here to ski, swim in the sea, and walk through memorable places. Rosa Khutor offers a whole range of entertainment, regardless of the season or time of year.

How to get there

Initially, the small town of Rosa Khutor was located on the site of the modern entertainment complex. The history of its creation goes back to 1881. The resort itself was founded in 2010. Soon it received the title of the largest ski resort in Russia. Just in the first year of opening, nine kilometers of slopes and five lifts were launched.

And two years later, the resort hosted the Ski World Cup. But Rosa Khutor gained its greatest popularity after the Olympics in 2014. To accommodate everyone who wanted to admire the Olympics on the territory of the resort, a large number of hotels, parking pavilions, parking lots, sports grounds, cafes, bars, restaurants, and clubs were built. All this was very conveniently located on both sides of the Mzymta River.

You can get to Sochi itself by plane or train. When choosing an option on how to get to Sochi, you should take into account the time spent on the road and ticket prices. You can get to the resort itself in four ways: by bus, by car, by taxi, by train. If you get from Adler, you can get to Rosa Khutor by car or high-speed train "Lastochka" stop "Olympic Park".

Embankment of the Mzymta River

From Sochi you can get to the resort by bus number 105 or by train. The journey will take approximately an hour. Buses run quite often. You can find out how much it will cost at the box office. The approximate price will be from 150 to 250 rubles*. If you travel by car, you can leave it in the parking lot for 100 – 400 rubles per day*. If you want to use a taxi, it is better to book it in advance.

The cost of a taxi will be approximately 400 rubles*. This cost is much higher than by bus or train. Renting a rental car is also not a cheap pleasure; in addition to the payment itself, you will need to leave a deposit. The Rosa Khutor stop is the final stop, so it’s impossible to get lost.

What to visit in Rosa Khutor

Before heading to the resort, it is worth checking the weather forecast, as it is changeable in the mountains. Be sure to take care of suitable clothing and shoes. Attendance at the resort is equally high in both winter and summer. This popularity is explained by the fact that Rosa Khutor provides entertainment for every taste and age. To simplify the process, you can purchase a guide.

Important! When going to the resort, you should not take paid excursions. Usually they take only a couple of hours, during which the guide will take tourists to the most significant places, provide a little time to take pictures and that’s it. It is best to go on your own and in the morning.

What to do in summer

Holidays in Sochi in the mountains in the summer have their own indescribable charm. You can not only enjoy the magnificent nature and breathe fresh air, but also get to know the local attractions.

First things first. To begin with, the railway station, where the branch of the Sochi junction ends. Rosa Khutor is located next to the ski center. The station itself is a spacious, bright building with waiting rooms, cafes and restaurants, free Wi-Fi access, and shopping centers for buying souvenirs. There is a lot of space, designed to accommodate up to eight thousand people at a time.

Interesting! Near the station there is the Alpika-service cable car. You can buy a ticket for it and ride to a height of one and a half thousand meters. You can get off at Pikhtovaya Polyana or climb to the height of Psekhako. The cost of a subscription for cable car rides in 2018 is 1,150 rubles. You can go down along another branch, admiring the surrounding panorama.

You can walk along the embankment of the Mzymta River. There are beautiful and modern hotels, restaurants, bars and souvenir shops around. The entire area is fenced and maintained in order. While walking along the embankment, you can have time to taste Caucasian wines, cheeses, cognac, and purchase honey and Caucasian spices. You can buy souvenirs related to the past Olympics, works of local craftsmen, and talismans. In short, you won’t leave here empty-handed.

At Raza Square or the Town Hall you can experience European style and splendor. A variety of festivals, holidays or any other entertainment events often take place here. From here you can buy a ticket for another cable car and admire all the beauties from above. Also, while walking around the square, you will notice a sign to another local attraction - the health path.

It has routes of two, one and a half hours and fifteen minutes. Along the entire path you can sit down, relax, have a snack, and enjoy nature. On the way there is a lake and in summer there are sun loungers next to it. There is also a waterfall and a spring on the trail from which you can drink and collect water. It is possible to rent bicycles and take a bike ride along one of the special trails. Renting a bike for the whole day will cost 1,500 rubles.*

Path of health

The cultural and ethnographic center “My Russia” presents all the beauty of our country in miniatures. Only here you can go back to the Middle Ages, see the Kazan Kremlin, visit Kuban with its characteristic small houses under a thatched roof, see the Moscow Kremlin and the Urals. Such diversity just makes your head spin. In the evening this whole world becomes even more beautiful as the lights turn on.

Note! It is no less interesting to visit the indoor skating rink even in summer. It is very large and figure skating competitions are held here. You can rent skates or hockey equipment. Playing hockey with a whole team is an indescribable pleasure.

The Galaktika entertainment center is another place that is definitely worth a visit. There is a whole range of entertainment for the whole family. Cinemas, a water park with a large number of water slides and attractions. The outdoor swimming pool, from which you can admire the mountains, will delight even the most demanding tourists. A family or group of friends can enjoy a game of bowling. Visiting the park is possible from 10 to 23. It will cost 1,200 rubles for an adult and 900 rubles for a child.*

Panda Park - a rope town - is an ideal place that will delight any child. The bravest can take part in team competitions. The trails have different lengths, and the most difficult ones are located at an altitude of thousands of meters. But that’s not all: the two-hundred-and-forty-meter-long “eagle flight” attraction will help you test yourself.

If a tourist gets tired of walking and doesn’t want to ride a bicycle, he can take advantage of horseback riding. The entire trip is conducted by a specialist instructor, sometimes through completely unique places that you cannot get to either by bicycle or by car. For those who lack thrills, you can go rafting on the river on catamarans or boats.

Important! A visit to the sea in the summer is a must. Access to the territory of Rosa Beach is absolutely free. Additional charges apply for sun loungers, towels, showers, playground and toilets. All this can be arranged as a package – for half a day for 250 rubles.*

And that’s not all that Rosa Khutor has to offer in the summer. It is endlessly possible to describe the numerous bars, restaurants, cafes, nightclubs and other entertainment of the resort.

Winter fun

The most common entertainment in the winter, namely in December, January and February, is skiing. Although the system for creating artificial snow allows you to ski until April. The tracks, with a total length of ninety kilometers, were created for professional athletes, so they meet all safety standards. The ascent to the highest peak, to a height of two thousand and a half meters, is carried out on a lift. This takes approximately twenty minutes.

Ski slopes Rosa Khutor

Please note: For beginners and children there are special simplified trails where you can use the services of instructors. All necessary equipment is available for rental, as well as tubing for downhill skiing. For advanced athletes there are special trails marked black and red.

After an active holiday, you can take a break on the hotel premises in a restaurant or cafe. It's always nice to drink hot tea or coffee with delicious desserts. Many hotels also have indoor pools that are open all year round. In addition to skiing, snowboarding, sledding, or tubing, tourists can visit the Olympic village, walk around local attractions, enjoy nature, and breathe fresh mountain air.

When is the best time to visit Rosa Khutor - winter or summer? There is no clear answer. Travelers can choose for themselves. A matter of taste and preference. If you want to ride on the slopes and enjoy the snowy mountain air, then, of course, you should go in the winter. You can swim on the beach or walk through flowering places only in summer. The only thing that remains is that the resort will not disappoint anyone.

The options that Rosa Khutor can offer, where to go and what to do, are very diverse. Having arrived here once, travelers want to come back again and again, because it is simply impossible to visit all the delights of Rosahutor at one time. And it doesn’t matter when you come in winter or summer, no one will be bored. This town gives you an unforgettable experience and the feeling of a fairy tale at any time.

* Prices are for 2018.

About the mountain resort Rosa Khutor.

Initially it was planned that we would visit friends in Yeisk and from there move on to Dombay.
We got to Yeysk quite cheerfully - I didn’t expect at all that you could travel comfortably in this miniature car. I'll tell you in a separate post!

However, everyone began to dissuade them from Dombay - they say the lifts are old, the contingent leaves much to be desired and everything is bad. As a result, it was decided to go to Sochi, and from there to Adygea.
And so that the trip wouldn’t be boring, we took a load of melons with us :)

So, about Sochi, I think everything will be clear to everyone: the scoop, the dirt and strange people (it’s funny, but that’s exactly how Dombay was described to me). The only thing I liked was the Olympic Games opening museum, but I’ll tell you about that a little later.
Having broken through the eternal traffic jams of the resort avenue, we moved along the fantastically beautiful road to Krasnaya Polyana. I don’t know how many billions were spent on it, and how many were stolen, but I don’t remember a better road in Russia.

On the way we pass a beautiful stele with poems by Lermontov.

And a unique bridge. This is the only such structure erected in the mountains. This bridge is the only bridge in Russia that stands on two opposite turns.
The truth about uniqueness is nowhere to be found on the spot; I read about it on the Internet. And we could have made one more attraction.

Everything on site is simply magnificent - a complete feeling that you are somewhere in Europe. Even people smile.

True, the architectural style, which the creators call European, is more like the style of a conventional outlet. But that doesn't make the place any worse.
Everything is done for people: huge parking lots (300 rubles per day is a ridiculous price, but still crowds of people abandon cars on the side of the road), easy navigation, the picturesque Mzymta embankment - everything is just great!

True, in the middle of the river, in the most visible place, there is some kind of garbage and no one is cleaning it up. A reminder that you are still in Sochi)))

Station building, which is not actually a station)

There are no queues, but there are a lot of people:

The full ascent to a height of 2509 meters (Kamenny Pillar peak) costs 2000 rubles. Not cheap, but believe me, it's worth it!
We look at the map of the slopes and start:

All booths are made in Switzerland and branded by the main bank of the country:

Our goal is the very top, so after getting off one ski lift, we immediately transfer to the next one. There is not much to do in the stopping places in summer.

On the way up, they show incredible views:

Having reached the mark of 2320 meters - Rose Peak, we find out that there is a two-hour walking route to the Stone Pillar.

It was my first time in the mountains in 28 years and I absolutely loved it. You can really feel the power!

In the summer, when there is no snow, some slopes and areas are closed, and some are not yet completed - all of them are closed with warning signs.
You can evaluate their effectiveness in the following photo:))

Although, it is worth noting that the views from the “forbidden zone” are excellent:

The walking route, although short in length, involves an ascent of as much as 189 meters. It's a lot.

That’s why locals prefer to ride either a “loaf”:

Or on a quad bike:

As a geologist, it was especially interesting for me to go - geology is everywhere! Just look:

There is also something for non-geologists to see. In some places the landscapes are somewhat reminiscent of the Carpathians (where I haven’t been either - judging by the photos):

In addition to tourists, these trails are also used by mountain bikers. Moreover, they develop enormous speed.

I lost my points, but I'm still extremely happy))

As I said, there is still construction going on at the top: an excavator, for example, is throwing boulders the size of Oka's car down. Therefore, you should avoid walking outside the route.

True, there are desperate people who do not care not only about the rules, but also about their own safety:

The Stone Pillar peak, to which we are going, is the highest point of the Aibga ridge. Aibga separates the valleys of the Psou (the border with Abkhazia) and Mzymta rivers.
The Internet says that it is less famous than Black Diamond, but I did not know about both)). In addition, from here it is very close to Adygea - only 70 km, but the road, if there was one, was abandoned a long time ago.
You can go to the Stone Pillar on horseback or on foot, or go down a little, take an open lift and ride almost to the very peak (you only have to climb 10-15 meters).
Of course, I chose the second option, fortunately there are signs everywhere.

As you understand, since I was in the mountains for the first time, the open ski lift was also new to me. It was scary, but I liked it. My advice to photographers is not to climb onto the seat with a photo backpack behind your back, in which case the lowering frame will hurt your head)

We are almost at the very top - all that remains is to walk along the narrow edge to that very Stone Pillar. In principle, you don’t have to go, the view from the ski lift is not much different, but then the peak will be considered unconquered.
View from the peak towards the ski lift - the road is really narrow and steep:

Somewhere in the last third of this short journey, I began to regret that I had left the ski lift at all. And when I got to the top, I started to really panic. No, I knew before that I was afraid of heights, but I always tried to overcome this weakness - I climbed roofs, radio towers, etc.
In general, I enjoyed the views from 2509 meters in a cold sweat and sitting on my fifth point. Although, as you can see in the photo, people walk there completely calmly.

Unfortunately, the hiking route from Rose Peak to the Stone Pillar is not looped, so we had to take the same path again. By that time the sun had approached its zenith and began to become noticeably hot.
Either because of permanent construction, or this is how it should be, but the road goes at a very strong slope and the stones always try to slip out from under your feet, so you have to walk extremely carefully and slowly.

Having learned from trekking experience in Italy, we prepared for the route - we left the tripod in the car, threw out everything unnecessary from the photo backpack, took plenty of water and comfortable shoes. However, the last hundred meters were not easy.
The girl walking (still full of strength) with her parents from the ski lift towards the Stone Pillars was amused when she shared that they were going to Abkhazia)))

In the distance you can see a lift leading down:

Slightly larger:

A farewell glance at the mountain panorama and we go down:

By the way, if mountain trekking is not part of your plans, but you want to ride an open ski lift (photographers, remember about your backpack and your head!), then at the height of the Reserved Forest there is a looped chairlift route.
Not so cool, not so beautiful, but effortless)

What would I like to say at the end of the day in Krasnaya Polyana? This is simply an excellent place! There is no comparison with Sochi, where I will never return again.
The trekking routes may not be fully developed, but this is a real world-class mountain resort. I'm sure it's no worse here in winter.
If you are planning to come here, I advise you to set aside at least a whole day for your visit, or better yet two - then you will have time to both the Black Diamond and the highest pedestrian bridge in the world. Don't forget that the lifts have operating hours -

P.S. Does anyone know what this is?

The attractions of Rosa Khutor are mountains created by nature, and a chic, well-thought-out tourist infrastructure built into the mountain landscape by human hands. The attractions of Rosa Khutor are presented on its three levels: Rosa Valley, Rosa Plateau and Rosa Peak.

The attractions of Rosa Khutor are the Olympia cable car, which lifts tourists from Rosa Valley to Rosa Plateau and the mountainous Olympic village. Attractions “Rosa Khutor” is the third highest level called “Rosa Peak” (height 2320 meters) with panoramic views of the entire Rosa Khutor resort and the “steepest” ski slopes for professionals.

The attractions of Rosa Khutor begin to unfold from its lower level, Rosa Valley, at an altitude of 560 meters above sea level.

The “Rosa Valley” attractions give the “Rosa Khutor” resort some special spark and a special play of nature with architecture. The forest begins right outside the hotel walls.

The Rosa Khutor bridges are landmarks that hang over the Mzymta River like “podiums” and connect not only its opposite embankments, but also link the image of the resort into a single ensemble.

The sights of Rosa Khutor, like elements of a theatrical set, replace each other as you move along the embankments of the Mzymta River. In the evening, the sights of Rosa Khutor in the haze of fog seem to be illuminated with gold from the inside in the rays of color illumination, and you again find yourself in a fairy tale... At the first rays of the sun, everything in Rosa Khutor changes and seems to come to life. The work of the architects at Rosa Khutor is unique and this is obvious to all guests of the resort! Part of the plan is that all the attractions of Rosa Khutor have a bohemian and fashionable look. The style of the buildings contains elements of classics, arches and ancient facades.

Like little Switzerland, it attracts tourists for a special impression of freedom.

The town hall with a clock on Rosa Square is the main attraction of Rosa Khutor. The Town Hall resembles the tower of the Sochi railway station. The Town Hall clock measures Sochi Olympic time. At Rose Square in front of the Town Hall, children are entertained by animators, and in the summer you can play board games on the playground.

"Romanov" Bridge - winner of the Olympic podium. The exhibition of paintings by the Art Studio “Colored Mountains” on the Romanov Bridge makes even impatient tourists stop.

Each building at Rosa Khutor is unique in design. All architectural attractions at Rosa Khutor are in strict order and harmony, which creates a single image of a stylish European town. Majestic hotels adorn the embankments of the Mzymta River. “Valzet Apartments” are the best friends of the Rosa Khutor budget. The Delovoy business center attracts tourists not only with its architecture.

“Mzymta Dvor” on the “Lavender” embankment with a poster “Rosa Khutor” is an example of a structure in the Dutch style. Mzymta Square is the busiest square of the Rosa Khutor resort. Near it there are stands, information blocks and ticket offices of the lower station of the Olympia cable car.

Olympia is the first cable car at Rosa Khutor and one of its main attractions. The views of Rose Valley from here are simply stunning! A little further there are two more cable car stations “Strela” and “Tirol”.

Near Mzymta Square, already on the Lavender embankment, you can admire the “Avenue of Stars” of our country’s athletes, where the “name stars” of all the Olympic winners are laid out on the sidewalk.

The Rosa Khutor indoor skating rink is an attraction accessible to all tourists at any time of the year. The skating rink is big. Equipment rental is available. Hockey and figure skating competitions can take place here.

“Park of Miracles” and Olympic Mascots at the “Mishkin” Bridge will give tourists a good mood and magic. A small public garden invites you to relax on its benches, rub the golden horns of the bull for good luck, and go on to sightseeing at Rosa Khutor.

“Fair YAR”, Tasting complex “Krasnaya Polyana” and souvenirs from “Rosa Khutor” in the “Gifts of the Caucasus” store will leave a long lasting memory. Boutiques of famous brands with children's and adult clothing, as well as jewelry stores will be a reward for those who value shopping. All three embankments of the Mzymta River at Rosa Khutor are full of elegant summer cafes and invite you to try delicious ice cream. On the embankments you can ride not only bicycles, segways and velomobiles, but even… Russian Pechka. Hotels have children's playgrounds! The Perekrestok store on Lavender Embankment at 2 will remind you that it’s time to refresh yourself. For fast food lovers, McDonald's is open at Mzymta Square, 1.

The Rosa Khutor attraction is the Rosa Beach recreation area. It differs from the traditional holiday on the Black Sea coast, because it is located in the mountains on the shore of a lake basin three meters deep.

Rosa Beach at Mountain Lake is free. Sun loungers are available for a fee in summer. The Rosa Beach beach complex in Rosa Dolina is equipped with two large swimming pools with clear mountain water, surrounded on one side by a sandy beach and on the other by wooden decking with umbrellas and sun loungers. The recreation area is complemented by comfortable showers, changing rooms and toilets. The beach has a children's play area with swings, slides and a sandbox. Rosa Beach Cafe is an integral attribute of the beach complex.

“The Path of Health” is a Rosa Khutor attraction and a mountain hiking route.

Behind the Rosa Beach cafe, the “Health Path” begins and runs along the wooded slope of Mount Psekhako. The total length of this health route is 3300 meters with a set of the most beautiful views and natural sites. On the “Health Path” there are three observation platforms, two large waterfalls, two springs, one swimming pool and 25 stops with benches. On the gentle slopes of the right bank of the Mzymta River, mountain waterfalls give their coolness to tourists. Waterfalls are water flows of more than 1 meter. The “Health Path” involves walking along the routes of the “Small Ring” for 15 minutes (310 meters), the “Middle Ring” for an hour and a half (1630 meters) or the “Big Ring” for 2 hours (1970 meters).

The Rosa Khutor landmark is considered to be located 500 meters from the Rosa Hall concert hall.

Congress Hall (Rosa Hall) is a building for holding conferences and large-scale events at the Rosa Khutor resort.

In winter, the resort’s snowy decorations and its main purpose – ski holidays – are added to the attractions of Rosa Khutor.

Have you noticed that the entire LiveJournal is filled with amazing stories and praise of Sochi and the Rosa Khutor resort, all the bloggers are just yelling how cool and cool it is there, how you can relax there on a budget. Today I’ll tell you about the real Rokha Khutor and why you shouldn’t go there! No, it’s really beautiful there, well-trained staff, but I definitely didn’t expect this.

Rose Valley stretches along the banks of the Mzymta River, there is an embankment, a beautiful square with the town hall, hotels, shops, a pharmacy, cafes and restaurants. The slopes can be reached by the Strela and Olympia ski lifts. I will tell you about Rosa Plateau and Rosa Peak separately, you will also be surprised.

Do you know where the name Rosa Khutor came from? I didn’t know and, for some reason, didn’t ask in advance. The history of its name has something to do with... Estonia.
How did Estonians get to the Caucasus? In the 19th century, after the abolition of serfdom, several dozen Estonian families moved to free lands in the Caucasus and founded the village of Estosadok. One of the first settlers was Adul Roosa. He did not live in the village, he began working as a forester, and settled on a farm eight kilometers from Estosadok. They called his dwelling "Roosa Farm", that is, Roosa Farm. The locals changed it a little; instead of “Khutor Roosa”, “Rosa Khutor” appeared. Now it is here that the famous Olympic ski complex was created.
Something like this happened here 5 years before the Olympics,

Now it’s like in Europe, if it weren’t for the Russian speech and inscriptions in Russian, I would have thought that I was somewhere in Karlovy Vary, for example.

Matryoshka dolls are scattered everywhere

Or former symbols of the Olympics

Some are even hidden

Our hotel

It would be great if real lavender grew here and its aroma would spread throughout the valley.

Here, in principle, there is everything, a lot of restaurants and bars for every budget, shops for every taste.

It has its own avenue of stars.

Nature simply has no words. Only emotions. The views here are, of course, amazing. Rosa Valley, and more familiar to everyone, Rosa Khutor itself, will remain in my memory as a toy fairy-tale town from who knows what fairy tale. New beautiful hotels and pedestrian embankments, narrow strips of hotels and infrastructure facilities, often tightly adjacent to each other, ski lifts running upward, mountains approaching the village close.
Everything blooms and smells, clean and cozy. Both during the day and at night.

At night it is very pleasant to stroll along the embankment.

They will ask me, Ruslan, why not go to Rosa Khutor?? Why the hell did we read all this, this is just paid propaganda, answer the question!
Actually, I answer, you don’t need to go here just because you will be proud, like me, that at least one corner of our vast Motherland can boast of well-groomed conditions, excellent infrastructure and unearthly beauty! You may forget about Europe and you will want to travel even more around Russia.
