The railway station is adjacent to the new T3 terminal, the entrance to which is located in the underground part. You can go down there by escalator. The fare, depending on the distance of the trip, ranges from 1.7 to 3.5 euros.

Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport, more often referred to as simply Malaga Airport (Aeropuerto de Malaga - Costa del Sol) is a large international airport that accepts domestic and international flights, both regular and seasonal.

The bus goes through the bus station to Plaza del General Torrijos (close to the port, old town and Malagueta beach).

Suburban train

Renfe's C1 commuter train line connects Malaga airport with the capital's center and several locations on the Costa del Sol. Line C1 route: Malaga Centro-Alameda - Fuengirola (via airport).

The train takes you to the center of Malaga in 12 minutes. The train from the airport goes through the main railway station of Malaga and to the railway station Malaga Centro-Alameda.

Also from the airport and the center of Malaga you can take a commuter train to the following resort destinations: Torremolinos; Benalmadena and Fuengirola.

Travel costs by zone: airport - Malaga center 1.80 euros; in Torremolinos - 1.80; Benalmadena - 2.05; Fuengirola - 2.70.

Trains run daily: from Malaga center to airport- from 05:20 to 23:30; from Malaga airport to the center- from 06:44 to 00:54 hours.

In addition to Line C1, trains on Line C2 operate in Malaga. Line C2 connects the center of Malaga with Alora.

Since taxi prices in Europe cannot be called democratic, the question of alternative travel options is always very pressing. Before the trip, I collected information on public transport from Malaga airport to the city center and back into a single block; I think that it will be useful not only to me.

There are three options:
- taxi (the most expensive, in terms of time - depends on the time of day depending on your luck);
- buses (the cheapest and slowest);
- electric train (the best in my opinion both in price and speed).

Option 1. Taxi
Everything is clear about the taxi, I followed the signs, stood in line, got in and drove off. The taxis are honest, the meters are navigators, they give change.
The prices are as follows:
Tariff No. 1.(working days from 06:00 to 22:00): per kilometer €0.84, waiting (per hour) €18.47; minimum cost from the airport is €15.21. I must say that if you estimate the cost per kilometer and the distance to the center of Malaga, this is approximately what you will get, about 15-16 euros, just the minimum cost.

Tariff No. 2.(working days from 22:00 to 06:00, Saturdays and holidays): per kilometer €1.03; waiting (per hour) €23.09; minimum cost from the airport is €19.01. Considering that we arrived at 22:30, we were supposed to pay 20 euros. It doesn’t seem like much, but why pay more?

Moreover, there is still additions to tariffs:
Travel to/from the airport €5.50;
Travel at night (0:00 to 6:00): €2;
To/from Levante port: €1;
Luggage over 60 cm (which is the same as almost any suitcase): €0.45.
During the August holidays and Easter week - everything is at tariff No. 2. So, taking into account suitcases (2 pieces) and airport transport, a taxi would cost us at least €25.41. So I started looking at other options.

For understanding: Festivos - holidays, Sabados - Saturdays, Laborables - weekdays, Salidas - stops. Centro and Aeropuerto are clear, I think, without translation. As you can see, the last bus leaves the airport at 24:00.

Near the Maria Zambrano train station there are two stops on the way from the airport: the first is Avenida de Expladana de la Estacion and the next is the bus station near the station (Estacion de Aurobuses). If you are going to the station, you need to get off at the first one (it will be right in front of the station). Then the bus turns left and drops off at Estacion de Aurobuses (behind the station), after which it returns to the main road towards the center. You can go back to the airport from Estacion de Aurobuses (there is also a stop in this direction), in addition, there is a stop at Hero de Sostoe - this is the street immediately south of the railway station.

If you are going to the very center, then the Paseo del Parque (Plaza Marina) stop is at the beginning of a long promenade park (two parallel lines of greenery in the city center, it is impossible not to recognize on the map), and Paseo del Parque (Plaza General Torrijos) - at the very far end. From a tourist point of view, the center is Plaza Marina, it is also full of hotels, you can easily walk there even with a suitcase (on wheels).

Price pleases: Billete Ordinario Aeropuerto Express - only €2.00. Therefore, if you live somewhere near the station or in the center along the bus route, then it’s generally good.

Second bus: L 19.

When he goes to the airport, he goes through exactly the same stop Hero de Sostoe (Estacion) as the 75th, and when he goes from the airport, he goes along the second street to the south from the station (see map) - Calle de Ayala. If you are coming from the airport, then for the railway station you need to get off at either Ayala (Los Arcos) or Engeniero Garnica.

Price: only €1.20, but it's a city bus, more stops, more people. If you have a lot of luggage, it will be inconvenient.

Option 3. Electric train.

The station is located directly opposite the arrivals hall, so when you get out, you will immediately see it. Walk 3 minutes maximum.

Tickets are sold in vending machines at the entrance, the system is like in the subway. We bought a ticket, went through the turnstile with it, nothing complicated. There are several stops along the way: Gualdalhorce, Victoria Kent, Maria Zambrano - station, and the center - Malaga-Centro Alameda is halfway between the station and Plaza Marina). Drive to the center 15 minutes.

Price: from the airport €1.35, to the airport €1.45.

In short: taxi minimum 20-25 euros (depending on the day of the week, time of day, etc., plus an additional fee for luggage); bus - 2 euros express, 1.20 euros - regular city; 1.35-1.45 euros - train.

Anyone who hasn't flown to the Barcelona-Malaga match doesn't like football. Well, of course, not everyone has the opportunity to just get on a plane and fly to Spain for a day. Yes, and I’m not a major - I prepared for this trip for three months, having booked a ticket in advance at a discount. My flight was received at Malaga Costa del Sol Airport, which is located eight kilometers from the city.

This is an impressive structure, consisting of four terminals, of which one is not operational, and one only accepts private travelers and business flights. All departures are made from terminal No. 3, and check-in is carried out both in it and in terminal No. 2 - each airline is tied to its own terminal. We unloaded at the third terminal. There's even duty free in the arrivals hall - probably designed for our people who didn't make it on the plane. :) Next we went to registration. We weren't particularly shaken, so this action went quickly. The same cannot be said about luggage - we waited for our suitcases for more than two hours. But during this time I at least examined the terminal. There was quite a lot there:

• a bunch of cafes;
• several duty free;
• food and miscellaneous stores;
• bank branches and post offices;
• waiting rooms.

Wi-Fi was good throughout the room, and there were plenty of outlets for charging phones. Cafes, restaurants, bars were popped up like mushrooms after rain. Personally, I got stuck in a sports bar for an hour.

Since the city of Malaga (Spain) has its own airport, get to Malaga and the entire southern Spanish Mediterranean coast from Russia is quite simple.
Direct flight Moscow-Malaga Aeroflot operates, and the low-cost airline Vueling recently began operating direct flights. Transaero has non-daily charters. But of course, you need to take care of air tickets for direct flights to Malaga in high season in advance.

In addition, you need to take into account that such a popular low-cost carrier as Ryanair flies to Malaga from its main hubs, and although some flights are operated only in the summer, there is an opportunity to fly to the Costa del Sol relatively inexpensively from.
From other cities you can fly with transfers through Germany, France, Italy or Turkey.
How long is the flight to Malaga?– of course, depends on the chosen flight. The direct flight Moscow-Malaga lasts approximately 5 hours.

Another way to get to Malaga is to fly to Madrid, where European companies often hold sales, and then travel south by train or bus. The train is faster and passengers who choose the Ave express will be on the Costa del Sol within two and a half hours of leaving the Spanish capital.
On the other hand, such a trip would cost them about ninety euros, which is four times the cost of traveling on the same route by bus. However, for the bus price you will have to pay for a six-hour journey, and although the transport makes an almost forty-minute stop along the way for the toilet and food, the children will still be very tired.

In addition, planes do not land in the city center, unlike trains and buses. They unload passengers near the central districts, although you still have to walk there.

How to get to Malaga from the airport

The easiest way to get from Malaga airport to the city is by train, which is poisoned every half hour. Upon arrival at the airport, follow the signs for Ferrocarril (you will pass through the departure hall and then along the pedestrian crossing).

On the contrary, the nearby bus station is a kind of cesspool, around which a bunch of immigrants and various declassed individuals huddle. Therefore, it is better not to linger at the bus station. However, the bus station has its own trump card in the form of a luggage storage room - it costs 3 euros per cell, special tokens for it are sold in a blue machine that hangs next to the rows of cells.
